THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE have released their new single ‘Birth of the Butcher’, taken from their upcoming self-titled album, out 28th January 2022 via their new label Unique Leader.
On the new track, the band state: “‘Birth of the Butcher’ is the next instalment in the series of the ‘Butcher’ character from our 2015 album Soulless Hymns. It is a prequel of brutality. A continued commentary on the human condition, the states of consciousness are predetermined and suffering is beyond repair.”
TLTSOL now return to the fold in 2022 with a career defining self-titled album. Straddling the nu metal, rock, death metal and downtempo genres in equal measure, TLTSOL have created a magnum opus of a record that will appeal equally to fans of Korn and Slipknot as much as it will to fans of Alice in Chains or Pantera.
The band comment on the album: “The pinnacle of malevolence, crushing riffs, and unbound lyricism that listeners have come to love and identify with us. Unique Leader is the perfect home to release this monster and we are more than excited to work with the brand to deliver this album to the masses.”
A Pennsylvania-bred deathcore band with a relentless, ferocious attack – and a name taken from a Smiths song – TLTSOL emerged in 2010 and have since become a major name on the underground rock scene with their emotionally intense and physically punishing sound.
MALACODA have released a new video of the keyboard solo in their brand new track “Beaten Path” which was performed by Gabriel Guardiola of Immortal Guardian.
Malacoda adds – “When we worked on this EP this song was missing something. Jeramie had the idea to reach out to his buddy in Immortal Guardian to rip a keyboard solo on this track and Gabriel’s performance really brought this song to another level! We haven’t had keyboard solos since 2016’s Ritualis Aeterna, so it was cool hearing one again on a Malacoda track!”
Originally a recording project of multi-instrumentalist and music producer Lucas Di Mascio, Malacoda has persevered and grown throughout the years.
The Year Walk is the third EP Malacoda, released December 3rd, that was written and recorded before the pandemic. Four more songs which build upon the band’s symphonic sound first explored on 2016’s Ritualis Aeterna.
Long time collaborator Michael Farina returns to play drums on select tracks, as well as Ryan Claxton (Tulip, Living Dead Girl) and Andrew Suarez (ex-The Slyde). The haunting album cover was made by the extremely talented Stefan Skjoedt.
Featuring Gabriel Guardiola (Immortal Guardian) on the track Beaten Path as well as a stellar mixing and mastering job by Jeramie Kling (The Absence, Inhuman Condition, Venom Inc.), The Year Walk encompasses everything the band sought to achieve with this direction and closes a long, arduous chapter in Malacoda’s history.
Frontman Lucas Di Mascio had this to say about The Year Walk:
“The majority of the songs that have been released this year were written around 2017 – before the release of our last full length, Restless Dreams. I didn’t really know what to do with these songs because they were so different from Restless Dreams but still were aligned with the sound we had developed on the EP, Ritualis Aeterna. I shelved them for a bit and then decided to rework them when working with an artist who was endorsed by a big guitar brand.
The artist in question wanted to have some metal material to help promote themselves, so we built a new band for the material. I was actually supposed to be the rhythm guitarist for this project- we had a different singer involved. Unfortunately that project never got off the ground after almost a year of working on it and the songs were shelved yet again. In mid 2019 I revisited the songs and wrote a few more after Zak had joined. We were excited with the material and felt it should be a Malacoda release.
We finished drum tracking right as 2019 was ending. While our initial plans drastically changed because of the pandemic, I decided that we should still release this material but just break it into EP’s so we can keep busy in a time without touring.”
This new EP is available as digital only and the band has no intentions to tour in support of this release as they continue to observe COVID-19 restrictions in Canada.

Canadian Punk Legends DAYGLO ABORTIONS have released their next single – “World of Hate” from their upcoming album “Hate Speech” and premiere via Moshville Times. the track can be heard here.
Murray “The Cretin” Acton adds – “You might not realize it listening to this song, but I have learned how to process my anger as it happens. I don’t hold on to it. I am not interested in revenge when I’ve been wronged because You need to keep the anger alive for that. I just want to let it go. Because when it’s gone there is no residual poison lurking in my subconscious waiting to transform into real hatred. Hatred can also be spawned by fear and sure, there’s lot’s of things I’m afraid of but again, as long as I process it, I can get beyond it. What’s my secret you ask? I write music. I make songs that ridicule the things I am afraid of, and the things that fuck me around. It works really good, I have a pile of self therapy songs, and I write new ones all the time. You should try it. It’s really important if you want to be healthy and happy, you gotta loose the hatred. Don’t even say the word.”
This album is dedicated to the people that helped us make it. Scott Bennet and Scott Henderson, for essentially talking me into making it, then offering their studio (the lap of luxury) so we could do the pre-praductlon Work while in the middle of Covid-19 induced lock-downs. Then Rob lawless, and Terry Paholek, for allowing us io Invade their studio (The physics lab) in Edmonton Alberta, and for the brilliant work the did making it sound so good. Next is Matt Jak and Sherry Benson, and family, for inviting us into their home and putting us up in Edmonton. And finally Tyson Cale Boyd and the people at The Starlight for putting on the show that paid our travel expanses. Well why the fuck stop there, The Edmonton Jak’s for always rocking out with us, and all of you for supporting through the years. Cheers to all of you

American Hard Rock band Artifas was formed in 2011 in Jackson, TN by lead guitarist Cody Criswell and lead vocalist Scottie Somerville. In the months following, the two founders of the group would immediately recruit an assortment of hometown musicians and begin looking to record their debut EP. After having a long and ugly encounter that resulted in the theft of all the bands funds and receiving no album in return, the original incarnation of the group would spend 2012-2013 doing several independent tours and writing music. After debuting with their EP Enemy Inside in 2013 and doing numerous regional/national tours in support of it, the band replaced former members with guitarist Mikey Miller, bassist Anthony Mattox, and drummer Jared Wainscott.
With almost two years of touring with the new lineup under their belts, Artifas inked themselves a record deal and hit the studio to make their first full length album. The 2015 release of the title track, “Inhuman,” would bring the band some commercial success, reaching # 32 on Billboard’s Active Rock chart and sending the band on the road in support of their new album. The band landed tours with established artists like Theory of a Deadman, Shamans Harvest, Pop Evil, Saint Asonia, Aranda, and others. The follow up single from that record, “Blood 4 Blood”, would later get picked up by the World Series of Fighting and subsequently land a feature in the UFC movie “Fight Valley”. The band parted ways with their record label in 2016, and remained on tour throughout the US for most of the following year, also traveling internationally for the first time with the likes of Papa Roach, Hoobastank, P.O.D., Trapt, and Sick Puppies to play for our American Troops.
Multiple tour cycles later, Artifas found themselves back in the studio making new music. The band worked with multiple writers and producers throughout the entirety of 2018, but would ultimately only find themselves frustrated with the recordings that resulted. After a soul search within the group, Artifas elected to embrace their own vision and write/produce their next album independently, free from the creative overreach of outside influence.
After two years of writing, recording, and mixing, Artifas has completed the new album, and plans to unleash it upon the world. With catchy guitar riffs, dizzying drums, and soaring melodies, Reflections will send you on an emotional journey, exploring the band’s semi-prog, radio rock sound while diving deeper into the human complex with lyrics centered around self awareness and the bands own struggles with mental health. The goal for the creation of this album was to make a record that met the band’s expectations and you can rest assured they held nothing back. Mixed and Mastered by Forrester Savell (Twelve Foot Ninja, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus), Reflections promises to wow you with musical prowess, all the while delivering Artifas’ important message on unity, inspiration, and the sempiternal battle between dark and light.
