ERADICATOR’s live album ‘Alive In The Dead Eye Of The Vortex’ will be released on 21 November 2025. The CD and Vinyl versions will be available exclusively from the band’s shop and digitally worldwide via Metalville.
A rainy Saturday afternoon in 2004: a wild bunch of teenagers meet in their rehearsal room, a small chamber in a barn in the tranquil Sauerland region. Wearing Kreator, Judas Priest and Metallica shirts, the newly formed band covers the classics of their heroes – the foundation for ERADICATOR is laid!
Twenty years later, the thrashers celebrate their anniversary with a special home game. Together with “Vortex Club” in Siegen, they launched the ‘Evil Twisted Metal Feast’ in October 2024. Six bands, 250 fans, an unforgettable evening and the decision to capture this moment.
With ‘Alive In The Dead Eye Of The Vortex’, ERADICATOR is now releasing an 11-song live album that thrashes through the band’s entire history. Four tracks from the current LP ‘The Paradox’ are also included. With ‘Evil Twisted Mind’, the song that gave the concert its name, one of their oldest songs returns, which was already featured on their first release, the demo ‘Back To The Roots’ (2007). History also repeats itself behind the controls: producer Jörn Michutta, who was already responsible for the demo, has shaped the live tracks into a dynamically thunderous mix that perfectly captures the energy and atmosphere of the evening.
Sebastian Jerke is responsible for the cover design, which ensures a galactic reunion with the plaque bringer.
Anyone familiar with ERADICATOR knows that they make no compromises when it comes to live performances. And now everyone else can experience this first-hand on record!

JON HARRIS returns with a new playthrough video for his track “Wasted Entertainment”, taken from his acclaimed album Parallel Heart (Epictronic).
‘Wasted Entertainment’ takes aim at our obsession with social media, calling out the endless scroll that eats away those precious hours of our lives. It’s one of the heavier songs on the album, built on an early riff and loaded with punchy textures and layered sounds that took me a few tries to get right. Recently, I met someone who said it was their favourite track on the whole record – so crank it up!
CITOWICZ AND THE FIREFLIES OF FEBRUARY have released “Serpents of Tomorrow”, the first official single from the highly anticipated album “Living Room Rockstar Part 2”. The single is available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music.
Written and composed by Andrzej Citowicz under the moniker Citowicz and the Fireflies of February, “Serpents of Tomorrow” features bass performance and production by longtime musical collaborator Patryk Szymański. The track serves as a powerful introduction to an album born from profound loss and the transformative power of rock and roll.
A FATHER’S TRIBUTE, A MUSICIAN’S SOUL
Living Room Rockstar Part 2 represents far more than a collection of songs—it is a father’s tribute to his late son, Jonasz. Every track on the album carries the weight of grief transformed into art, pain channeled into melody, and love that transcends loss. Written during the darkest chapter of Citowicz’s life, the album stands as a testament to the enduring power of music to heal, honor, and give voice to the unspeakable.
“The grief is there. It will always be there. But so is the music,” Citowicz reflects with raw honesty. “Sometimes you create through the pain. Sometimes the pain becomes the creation. This album, every single song on it, is dedicated to our Jonasz. Music is my therapy, my survival, my way of keeping his memory alive whilst still finding a way to live.”
The artist continues: “I’m almost 50 years old. I’ve lost my parents, buried friends, faced life’s disappointments. But nothing—nothing—prepares you for losing your child. Some doors close and don’t open again. This album is how I walk through that door anyway, carrying what I’ve lost whilst still moving forward. Music didn’t make the pain disappear, but it gave the pain somewhere to exist, somewhere to be heard.”
CLASSIC ROCK PASSION MEETS PERSONAL TRUTH
“Serpents of Tomorrow” channels the spirit of classic arena rock while maintaining an authentic, contemporary edge. Drawing deep inspiration from the titans of rock—Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Aerosmith—Citowicz crafts a sound that honors the guitar-driven anthems and soaring melodies of rock’s golden era whilst infusing every note with deeply personal truth.
“Bon Jovi’s ‘New Jersey’ changed my life 37 years ago,” Citowicz shares. “I was young then. Music was just music—something that made me feel good. I had no idea those songs were planting seeds in my soul, teaching me that sound could carry weight, that melodies could hold you when nothing else would. Who knew that after 37 years, I would need music more than ever to heal? That rock and roll isn’t just sound—it’s survival. It’s the difference between drowning and learning to swim in your own tears.”
The collaboration with Patryk Szymański—a partnership forged through years of musical trust and friendship—brings technical excellence and emotional depth to every track. Together, they have created a sonic landscape that honors both musical tradition and the raw authenticity of lived experience.
“Patryk understands what I’m trying to say even when I can’t find the words,” Citowicz notes. “His bass lines and production don’t just support the songs—they become part of the story. We’ve built something together on this album that I couldn’t have built alone. That’s what true collaboration is—finding someone who elevates your vision whilst adding their own heart to it.”
EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW: “HOLE IN MY SOUL”
In addition to the official single release, fans can experience “Hole in My Soul” (Radio Edit – Demo), the last song written for Living Room Rockstar Part 2, exclusively on YouTube. This raw, early demo offers an intimate glimpse into Citowicz’s creative process during the album’s completion—a 5 AM session that captures the unfiltered emotion of an artist working through grief in real time.
Andrzej describes the track as “Bon Jovi meets Aerosmith at the crossroads with the real Citowicz. Hope so. I really hope so.”
“I wrote this song on what was supposed to be a special day,” the artist reveals. “I needed to find my soul, feel whole… but it wasn’t working well. So I found a way through music, once again. Who knows if 5 AM is the best time to write music? But sometimes music speaks louder than my own pain and loss. The new official single is coming soon, but that night wasn’t about releases or schedules. It was about healing, once again. I did this for myself, and I’m grateful. Somehow I feel that hope may find a way to this hole in my soul.”
The vulnerability in sharing an unfinished demo speaks to Citowicz’s commitment to authenticity over perfection: “This is raw. Unfinished. Real. But that’s where truth lives—in the imperfect moments when you’re just trying to survive another day. I want people to hear the journey, not just the destination.”
THE JOURNEY THROUGH DARKNESS
Living Room Rockstar Part 2 marks a significant chapter in Citowicz’s artistic journey. The album follows Living Room Rockstar Part 1, released with Patryk Szymański, and represents both musical evolution and deeply personal expression. Each song was crafted during one of the most challenging periods of the artist’s life, transforming heartbreak into anthems that speak to universal experiences of loss, resilience, and the search for meaning. “Life became harder, different, surrealistic in some ways since we lost our baby,” Citowicz shares with profound honesty. “My wife and I are still here, and we want to be here, but the healing process is harder than we both thought it would be whilst life goes on around us. Maybe this album is just songs, maybe it’s an illusion of getting better, but here we are—still standing, in love, and looking to the future with broken but stronger hearts. We need to find a way to keep moving on whilst carrying what we’ve lost.”
The album also features contributions from Citowicz’s wife, who appears on duet versions of selected tracks. “She is stronger than me, always was,” Citowicz reflects. “After 17 years of love, pain, tears, and God knows what else, we are still here. Creating music together during this time has been both our therapy and our way of staying connected when everything else felt like it was falling apart.”
CLASSIC ROCK HERITAGE, CONTEMPORARY HEART
Throughout Living Room Rockstar Part 2, the influence of classic rock giants shines through—not as imitation, but as inspiration filtered through personal experience. The big guitars, memorable hooks, and anthemic choruses recall the best of Def Leppard’s production mastery and Bon Jovi’s emotional accessibility, whilst Aerosmith’s raw edge and authentic storytelling permeate the album’s DNA.
“Those bands taught me that rock music could be both huge and intimate, both powerful and vulnerable,” Citowicz explains. “When Jon Bon Jovi sang about being there for someone, or when Steven Tyler screamed about pain, they weren’t just performing—they were living those moments. That’s what I’m trying to do with this album. Every song is lived, not performed. Every lyric comes from a place where pretense doesn’t exist anymore.”
The production approach favors organic sounds and real performances over digital perfection. “We recorded much of this in home studio environments,” Citowicz notes. “Not because we couldn’t access bigger facilities, but because the most honest music happens when you’re in a space that feels safe enough to break down. Those late-night sessions, those 5 AM writing moments—that’s where the real album was born.”
MUSIC AS SURVIVAL
For Citowicz, music has always been more than a career or hobby—it’s a lifeline, a language for emotions that transcend words, and now, a memorial that breathes and lives.
“I refuse to remain silent,” the artist declares. “In our darkest hour, when we needed support most, we had already been abandoned by those who should have been our foundation. But music never abandoned me. The guitar never judged my pain. The melodies never asked me to be stronger than I could be. Music just held me.”
He continues: “Being on the autism spectrum makes everything harder, even things that are already devastating become impossibly difficult when you process the world differently. But music speaks a language that bypasses all that confusion. When I play guitar, when I write lyrics, when I sing—that’s when everything makes sense again, even if just for those few minutes.”
The decision to dedicate the entire album to Jonasz reflects both the depth of loss and the power of remembrance: “He had a name. He was alive and thriving under my wife’s heart. His presence, his heartbeat, was proof of our future. Now he’s gone, and our miracle is gone forever. But I refuse the belief that he is not with us. He lives on—a love so vast, it shatters but also holds together. His memory is stitched into everything. Every song. Every note. Every word. This album is my way of keeping him alive in the only way I know how.”
THE POWER OF COLLABORATION
The partnership between Citowicz and Patryk Szymański has been instrumental in bringing Living Room Rockstar Part 2 to life. Their musical friendship, built over years of collaboration, provides both technical excellence and emotional support.
“Patryk has been there through everything,” Citowicz shares. “He’s not just a bass player and producer—he’s a brother in music. When I couldn’t find the strength to continue, he was there. When the songs felt too heavy to finish, he helped carry the weight. This album exists because he believed in it, believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself.”
Szymański’s bass work and production expertise create the foundation upon which Citowicz’s guitar-driven compositions soar. The interplay between Citowicz’s passionate vocals and guitar work and Szymański’s solid, emotive bass lines creates a sonic landscape that is both expansive and intimate.
LOOKING FORWARD WHILST HONORING THE PAST
As “Serpents of Tomorrow” prepares for release, Citowicz acknowledges both the pain that created it and the hope that sustains it.
“This single, this album—they’re not about moving on,” he clarifies. “You don’t move on from losing your child. But you do find ways to keep living. You do find moments where hope sneaks back in, uninvited but welcome. Music is how I found those moments. Maybe this album will help someone else find theirs.”
The artist’s commitment to authenticity over commercial considerations shapes every aspect of the release: “I’m not trying to top charts or win awards. I’m trying to survive. I’m trying to honor my son. I’m trying to turn the worst thing that ever happened to me into something that might help someone else feel less alone. If this music reaches even one person who needs to hear it, then it’s done its job.”
