When Lee Ritenour takes the stage, all bets are off. For almost 60 years, the Grammy-winning LA guitarist has chased his muse through a kaleidoscope of genres, conjured alchemy alongside the scene’s greatest players, shed his creative skin whenever it got too comfortable, and walked the high wire each night as the crowd held its breath.
So when it came to catching the sparks on his latest live album, the 74-year-old naturally turned to the fabled London club that shares his rebel ethos. Live At Ronnie Scott’s will be released on 23 October via The Players Club / Artone Music Group, and will be available on LP, CD and digitally. As a taster of what is to come, check out the first single, ‘Is It You.’
Talking about the song, Ritenour says, “This one has definitely evolved. There’s some videos out there of people recreating the ’80s version, and they do it very well. But I’ve taken a different approach with the tune, because it was such a big hit, but it was never an easy tune to play live – it was always challenging for everybody. So when you hear this version from this band, it completely has its own flavour. The reason being that the two singers on it are both Brazilians, Munir Hossn, the bass player, and Tatiana Parra, the female singer.”
He adds, “And this is a funny story, because I decided I wanted to start doing ‘Is It You’ again, and I had a feeling Munir could handle it. So I sent him the song a year ago, and he wasn’t so familiar with it, because he’s too young for that period. But he called me back and said, ‘Yeah, Lee, that’s a great song, I think I can do it. There’s only one problem: I’ve never sung a song in English’. He’s sung songs in French, Portuguese, Spanish…So I laughed and said, ‘Well, let’s give it a try.’ So what’s nice about this version is that I don’t try to force the two singers to Americanise, if you will, the vocal performance. They’re definitely both singing with accents, and we have a softer, slow-groove approach to the song that lends itself to Munir and Tatiana. So I’m very happy with the way it turned out.”
Performing a total of eight shows at the iconic Soho club in March 2026 – with a fresh setlist each time – was the only way this prolific artist could hope to represent every side of his career. Across his 50-strong back catalogue, Ritenour has shapeshifted from ’70s fusion hotshot to ’80s chart-crossover star, from the honorary ambassador for Brazilian jazz to one quarter of ’90s supergroup Fourplay – and beyond. Every song feels fresh and alive, thanks to the bandleader’s bold arrangements and the rip-it-up energy of a young band featuring Giorgi Mikadze (keys), Munir Hossn (vocals/bass), Grégoire Maret (harmonica), Tatiana Parra (vocals) and Ritenour’s son, Wes, driving the shows from his drum stool. “I’ve had the chance to play every kind of music with every kind of artist,” reflects Ritenour, “and that’s the way Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club is set up too. Obviously, since 1959, it’s seen the history of jazz, from Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis and Nina Simone, to Jeff Beck and Jamie Cullum. But also rock, soul, blues, you name it – it’s all been through there.”
Born in Los Angeles in 1952, he was playing guitar by eight, “serious” by 12, and soaking up everything that Sixties flashpoint had to offer. “My dad used to take me to hear Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Joe Pass and Jim Hall,” he reflects. “But there were also the rock guys coming through LA back then, like Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton.
But Ritenour grew up fast, and from the late ’60s he was a first-call sessioner for giants like Frank Sinatra, Pink Floyd, B.B. King and Tony Bennett. “I’d get called for Steely Dan or Quincy Jones would ask me to come by the studio at midnight,” he says of those gun-for-hire years. “Somebody once added up that I did 3,000 recordings for artists, movies and TV shows. It was incredible reaching the top tier as a studio musician. But I always had a desire to write my own songs and records – to be an artist.”
In ’76 and ’77, Ritenour established his own solo career. For the next four decades, he would shift gears and outrun categorisation at every turn, from his pop crossover on 1981’s Rit, to winning a Grammy in 1985 for Early A.M. Attitude, and not forgetting Fourplay’s audacious jousts with fellow crème-de-la-crème musos Bob James (keys), Nathan East (bass) and Harvey Mason (drums). Perhaps his eclectic vision was best summed up by 2010’s hugely ambitious and star-studded 6 String Theory album. Live At Ronnie Scott’s is an artist performing with no safety net. As Ritenour reflects, the atmosphere during that March residency was electric and just a little dangerous, with London’s most discerning jazz fiends expecting fireworks from one of the US scene’s most fabled players.
“I have a history at Ronnie’s, going back to the ’70s. It’s such an iconic room, and the audience is so sophisticated. If you don’t deliver, it’s probably not good. But this band has been playing together consistently for the last few years, so we came into Ronnie’s already very glued, and the audience felt it from the very first song.”

Greenway and his bandmates will bring April Wine’s unmistakable combination of anthemic melodic rock and powerful ballads to stages across North America this fall, giving longtime fans the opportunity to hear the band’s classic songs performed live once again.

“Undone” is the latest single from alternative metallers ENTHEOS. The track comes by way of the band’s impending new studio offering, Empty On The Inside, set for release on October 23rd via Metal Blade Records. Serving as the definitive centerpiece of the record, the song effortlessly channels the untamed, emotional energy that characterizes the album as a whole.
Comments vocalist Chaney Crabb, “‘Undone is a dark, visceral song that’s about the confrontation of the guilt that you’ve become the person you always feared you’d be. It’s the grief of realizing that you cannot turn back time and change the things you’ve destroyed. Lyrically, it’s incredibly raw and we feel that musically, it matches the lyrical content perfectly.
“We’ve wanted to experiment with more of an industrial sound for a long time and writing this song came incredibly naturally to us. Though it may be one that surprises people who listen to our band, it’s one of the most ‘true to ourselves’ songs we’ve ever written. We can’t wait to expand even more in this sonic territory.“

Empty On The Inside is the most ambitious and fully realized album of ENTHEOS‘ career. Featuring vocalist Chaney Crabb (voice actress for Jill Valentine in Dead By Daylight) and multi-instrumentalist Navene Koperweis (ex-Animals As Leaders, Animosity), alongside guitarists Scott Carstairs (Fallujah) and Michael Stancel (Allegaeon), the record captures the band at their most collaborative and creatively unified.
While earlier material often highlighted the technical brilliance of Crabb and Koperweis, this time all musicians came together as a true unit during the writing and recording process. The result is a more cohesive, focused, and dynamic album, one that still delivers the jaw-dropping musicianship, intricate performances, and progressive intensity the band is known for, while also embracing tighter songwriting, stronger hooks, and a deeper melodic presence. It’s ENTHEOS at their most refined, balancing technical mastery with memorable songwriting in a way the band never has before.
The band notes, “The album is about losing yourself in darkness, confronting that hopelessness and wondering if there’s any way back to being the person you used to be.”
Empty On The Inside was produced by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Fallujah, Whitechapel) and mastered by Justin Sturtz at Sterling Sound. The album’s striking visual artwork was created by Zac Shiffer (Nine Inch Nails, Behemoth, Soundgarden).
Empty On The Inside Track Listing: 01. Hell Is a Part of Me 02. Empty on the Inside 03. Hollow 04. Call My Name 05. Golden Crown 06. Undone 07. Tomblight (feat. Michael Lessard) 08. Pale Faith 09. Never Let Me Go 10. The Earth Will Move
Following their wildly successful North American tour with Jinjer earlier this Summer, ENTHEOS has announced a special record release show in Nashville with more live dates to be announced in the weeks to come.

Caroline Breitler has released “If Nobody Loves You,” arguably the most beautiful rock ballad of the year! She is joined by Mark Fox of SHAKRA as her duet partner and Croatian guitarist Ivan Keller, who also plays with JELUSICK, among others. The result is a rock ballad whose lyrics have far more to offer than meets the eye at first glance.
Caroline Breitler: “‘If Nobody Loves You, I Will Be There’ is, at its core, a psychological message. The music video makes it clear: It’s not about expecting love from others—but about the fact that every person has the ability to find inner peace independently and with stability.
True love begins when you heal your inner child, set boundaries, treat yourself well, and learn to accept yourself in all your facets. Those who are at peace with themselves don’t need validation from others—not from family, friends, partners, children, bosses, or coworkers. That is true freedom. That is true strength; that is self-love.”
It’s no coincidence that this song gets under your skin. It was written by Caroline Breitler and her keyboardist Andreas Caplazi, and produced by hit producer Alessandro Del Vecchio—a team that has created a musical masterpiece that will make history. A song that was needed. A song that opens hearts. A song that will stay with you.
Biography: Caroline Breitler & Band – Between Fire and Emotion With a voice that gets under your skin and a captivating stage presence, Caroline Breitler stands for powerful rock with soul. Together with her top-class band, she brings an explosive mix of melodic metal, rock and emotion to the stage. On guitar, a virtuoso shines with a flair for powerful riffs and epic solos that get under your skin. The keys add orchestral depth and a cinematic atmosphere – sometimes ethereal, sometimes dramatic. The drummer is the rhythmic backbone of the band. With razor-sharp precision, unbridled energy and a flair for dynamics, he gives the sound that certain something – like a galloping herd of horses that sweeps the audience along and makes the pulse of the music palpable. Whether on record or live, Caroline and her band tell stories of courage, pain and hope. Their music is a call to stay true to yourself – loud, honest and rousing.
Next Live Date: Sept. 26, 2026 – CD Release Party – Chillout Boswil, Switzerland
The Browning unleash their signature brand of rave metal in a relentless fusion of deathcore, industrial metal, and metalcore. The song takes aim at a future where human creativity is increasingly overshadowed by artificial intelligence. Crushing riffs, heavy synthesizers, and hard-hitting vocals collide with pulse-pounding electronic energy, delivering an unrelenting anthem built for both the mosh pit and the dance floor. As Jonny McBee says, “Let’s go to a metal show, let’s go to a rave. Why not both?”
The Browning is an electronic metal band founded by Jonny McBee as a solo project in 2005. In 2010 The Browning transitioned into a full band and has toured the world with bands such as Electric Callboy, Static X, Fear Factory, and We Came As Romans. They’ve put out two EPs Standing On The Edge EP (2010), Time Will Tell EP (2011), and five albums, Burn This World (2011) Hypernova (2013), Isolation (2016), Geist (2018), and End Of Existence (2021). The Browning’s current lineup is Jonny McBee and Hardcore Keem. The Browning has consistently pushed the boundaries of music, fusing genres and redefining heavy sounds. The band’s new line-up sets the stage for an electrifying chapter in their journey. In 2011 on their full-length debut Burn This World, The Browning expanded the boundaries of heavy music through a seamless fusion of industrial, electronic, rock, and metal. In 2013 Hypernova represented a high watermark for the band. Named ‘Album of the Week’ by Revolver, it yielded the signature anthem “Bloodlust,” which clocked over 2.6 million views and nearly 2 million streams.
In 2016, they reached another level with Isolation, earning acclaim from outlets such as New Noise Magazine and generating millions of views between “Dragon” and “Disconnect.” The fourth full-length album, Geist, released in 2018, would push The Browning even further into the boundaries of heavy music with added deathcore and techno influences. End Of Existence released in 2021 would go on to receive generally positive reviews with Dom Lawson of Blabbermouth.net saying, “As ever, if the idea of metal mixed with EDM gives you violent facial tics and a sense of impending doom, End of Existence makes no attempt to make amends or win you over. And nor should it. The Browning have spent a decade pursuing an eccentric and polarizing path, and they still sound like a flash of inspiration brought to life.”
The Browning officially signed to FiXT in late 2023, after collaborating with the label for several years, creating two official remixes for Celldweller and signing a merchandise deal. The band has since released three well received singles with the FiXT. “Poison” which scored placements on Pandora’s AMP: Fresh Cuts, Industrial Metal, New Metal, This year In Metal, New Metal Now; Spotify’s All New Metal,, as well as featured on the WWE. The single currently sits on over 1.5 million streams alone on Spotify since its release. “HIVEMIND” would go on to score placements on Spotify’s All New Metal, New Flesh (Knotfest), and The Core, as well as VEVO’s Incoming Metal. “Deceiver” hit Pandora’s New Metal Now, New Metal (Station), This Year In Metal; Deezer’s Killed By Metal, Deathcore, and Metal Radar, and; Spotify’s All New Metal.
Their sixth full length album OMNI released in November of 2024 followed by OMNI [ULTRA] in 2025. 2025 was an active year for the band with The Browning touring continuously throughout the year, jumping into 2026 following the same trend, with the The Burn This World [EVOLVED] V2 USA 2026 Tour with DEADLANDS, THE CRIMSON ARMADA, EXTORTIONIST, and BLIND EQUATION running August 27th through September 25 and the EU Fall Tour 2026 with WITHIN DESTRUCTION and ABBIE FALLS.
Jonny McBee, vocalist, and songwriter for The Browning, is a trailblazing presence in the metal scene. He is also known for his role as the host and operator of the “Burn This World Podcast,” which is set to make its triumphant return this Fall. He also streams in The Browning Discord channel with fans tuning in to watch his creative process. Jonny is set to embark on a parallel journey, launching a groundbreaking new side project: THE DEFECT.
Hardcore Keem, the band’s guitarist, brings his unique vision and sound to The Browning. Originally just a fan of the band, he officially joined The Browning on tour in 2022, now becoming a staple for the band’s future and marketing. Besides being in the band, he’s also a heavy music influencer and promoter with over 300K in social reach, including 100K+ followers on Instagram alone, and runs his own podcast, The Hardcore Keem Show.
