The new track by LIGHTS OF VIMANA, “Nowhere”, is now streaming in exclusive premiere via No Clean Singing. This marks the second single from the band’s debut album, “Neopolis”, out June 13th, 2025 via Dusktone.
Following the immersive first taste of their cinematic doom sound, “Nowhere” delves even deeper into the emotional and atmospheric core of the project, showcasing LIGHTS OF VIMANA’s ability to balance desolation and beauty with striking clarity.
LIGHTS OF VIMANA is an atmospheric/progressive doom metal project that brings together three veteran forces of the extreme doom scene: Riccardo Conforti (Italy, Void of Silence) on drums and synths, Jeremy Lewis (US, Mesmur, Pantheist) on guitars and bass, and Déhà (Belgium, Slow, Cult of Erinyes) on vocals.
With “Neopolis”, LIGHTS OF VIMANA craft a deeply cinematic and textural sound that diverges from the members’ heavier roots, instead weaving together influences from Hans Zimmer, Porcupine Tree, and My Dying Bride. The result is a sonic tapestry that is both immersive and emotionally stirring. Déhà’s predominantly clean, expressive vocals lend a raw, human element to the album’s brooding, futuristic soundscapes, while Conforti’s ambient synth layers and Lewis’s expansive riffs create a dynamic interplay of beauty and desolation.
The album paints a vivid portrait of a dystopian world – cold, vast, and haunting – where shimmering atmospheres meet the crushing weight of doom. It is a journey through collapse and transcendence, where every note feels like a flicker of light in the ruins of tomorrow.

Formed in 2017, Unverkalt emerged from a desire to give voice to grief, memory and the visceral undercurrents of the human condition. While originally founded in Athens, the band are now based in Berlin, where they forge avant-garde post-metal from emotionally immersive compositions, cinematic textures and a fearless commitment to sonic experimentation.
The band’s debut album, L’Origine du Monde, emerged rooted in emotional unrest and tense atmospherics while delving deep into loss and catharsis beneath shades of post-metal and slow-burning doom. Their follow-up, A Lump of Death: A Chaos of Dead Lovers, pushed deeper into obsession and decay, blending gothic unease with cinematic grandeur and raw urgency. Together, the band’s first two albums trace their evolution from mournful elegance to something more immediate and consuming. It’s a path worth retracing before the next part of their journey unfolds, giving rise to the most visceral and unrelenting sound Unverkalt have ever conjured.
“Big News, Big Moves!” says Unverkalt. “We are excited to announce that Unverkalt have officially joined the Season of Mist family.
“We’ve found a home with a label that doesn’t just handle the heavy, the weird and the loud – it amplifies it. We’re very stoked about working with a team that gets what we’re about and isn’t afraid of a little sonic destruction.
”Unverkalt always stood for real, raw, untamed art and never gave a damn about fitting into scenes or trends. We just wanted to create something honest – loud, heavy, broken and alive. And now we’ve found a place that welcomes that chaos with open arms.
”The next chapter of Unverkalt starts here. Expect more music, more shows and more beautifully controlled chaos. Stay tuned and brace yourselves – this ride’s only getting louder.”
Emerging from Athens in 2017, UNVERKALT was born out of an instinctive urge to give form to grief, memory and emotional unrest.
Guitarist and composer Themis, along with vocalist Dimitra, set out to create something unfiltered, heavy, and honest — an intention that would later crystallize in their 2020 debut album L’Origine du Monde. With this release, Unverkalt established a presence within the European post-metal underground.
With raw, multifaceted vocals woven into post-metal and avant-garde textures, Unverkalt began to shape a sound that is slow-burning and emotionally charged. Influenced by European cinema, visual arts and the complexity of human experience, their music unfolds as an immersive narrative, balancing heaviness and delicacy, dissonance and beauty.
Their 2023 follow-up, A Lump of Death: A Chaos of Dead Lovers, garnered widespread critical acclaim, including a 9/10 review from Metal Hammer Greece, and marked a clear turning point in both tone and direction. Inspired by the cult atmosphere and violent crimes of the 1970s, the album explored the space between obsession and romantic decay. The sound became heavier, more immediate, with the band’s alternative influences now pushed to the surface with greater clarity and force.
Now rooted in Berlin, the current incarnation of Unverkalt – Dimitra (vocals), Themis (guitars), Christian (drums), Eli (vocals/guitars), and Joscha (bass) converge to produce their most primal and emotionally charged creation to date.
What comes next is not a continuation, but a descent. Unverkalt’s cinematic and avant-garde impulses are now laced with shadowed intensity. Blackened textures swirl beneath the surface, rupturing into moments of raw force. Their sound is evolving into something darker, more primal, and wholly untethered — an experience that promises to be their most visceral and immersive yet.

BraveWords Records is pleased to announce the signing of DAVID REECE for a new BANGALORE CHOIR studio album, to be released in 2026.
David Reece comments on signing with BraveWords Records, “I am joining the BraveWords Records family for the release of the new Bangalore Choir album! I see BraveWords Records doing great things and I know that the team behind Bangalore Choir there will work tirelessly for this next phase of the band. I meet many Bangalore Choir fans while playing my live shows and see the response in the audience to such classics like Angel In Black, All Or Nothin, Just One Night and I feel this new album represents what them and I feel to be what Bangalore Choir is all about.”
Giles Lavery, BraveWords Records A&R, “Signing David Reece to BraveWords Records marks a new and exciting chapter in my longtime friendship with this great artist and singer! David and i have been friends and worked together a long time, through many ups and downs… One of those ups was seeing him on numerous major festival stages around Europe in the last few years as a sober, clear-headed and well-focused man, one of those lows was quite some time ago in the previous decade after a no-filter and “to the point” heated exchange between us, where we both ended up in a near brawl with each other in a UK Holiday Inn on the 3rd floor at 2am — so who says this isn’t a full contact sport?! Needless to say, our friendship has survived all that and more… David and i continue to be honest with each other and we are both pulling no punches on delivering the best album he has done in many many years. I feel the new upcoming Bangalore Choir album is one of his best yet, we got about halfway on the last record to that “On Target” sound, but with this new one i can say that we have hit the mark for real… It’s 1992 all over again!”
David Reece will be hitting the road later this year supporting Girlschool and his BraveWords Records label mates Alcatrazz. David Reece’s Bangalore Choir will deliver a blistering set of hits from both Accept and Bangalore Choir, showcasing one of the most distinctive voices in heavy metal.
This tour is also the debut of his relaunched version of Bangalore Choir.

About DAVID REECE: American singer David Reece first came to international prominence in the hard rock community joining Accept in 1987, replacing the iconic Udo Dirkschneider. With Accept he released the “Eat The Heat” album in 1989, a record that while somewhat divisive within Accepts more die-hard European fanbase, has no shortage of acclaim in equal measure from the wider hard rock and AOR community. David’s voice was a perfect fit for both the more streamlined American heavy rock direction the band wanted to pursue at the time and the Heavy Metal stylings that are still found in great abundance on the record. Thus, songs like Generation Clash and XTC fast became staples of late 80’s rock radio and fan favorites to the present day.
After departing Accept in 1990 David wasted no time in forming Bangalore Choir, a band that would showcase his immense vocal talents combined with first rate songwriting. Released via Giant Records in 1992, the bands debut album “On Target” has become an album held dear to lovers of melodic heavy rock the world over. Timing being everything, sadly the change of radio programming toward the then emerging Grunge movement halted a very promising young band from making the global impact it very well might have had if the album had arrived some years earlier.
David has gone on since to front many bands such as Bonfire, Wicked Sensation, EZ Livin’ and more recently Iron Allies, but he has always felt there was unfinished business with Bangalore Choir, revisiting the project with the occasional release….which brings us right up to date, the latest Bangalore Choir album … Its title a guarded secret at this stage. Needless to say, if you wanted more of what you loved about “On Target” this one will truly hit the mark.

Additionally, this year marks the 50-year mark since AC/DC’s classic debut album, High Voltage – which spawned such all-time classic rock anthems as “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock n’ Roll),” “Live Wire,” and “TNT,” among others. Also, if you caught AC/DC on their current PWRUP tour, you would have been treated to 10 (out of 21) Bon-era songs.
Few rock singers were as unforgettable – and have proved as enduring – as Bon Scott. As the frontman of AC/DC from 1974 until his tragic passing in 1980 (at the age of 33), his “rock n’ roll pirate persona,” street poet lyrics, and striking image (one of the first rockers to proudly sport multiple tattoos) have made him an absolute legend. Additionally, Bon’s vocals were featured in several pre-AC/DC bands, including Fraternity, the Valentines, and the Spektors.
But really, it is the quality of the songs of the “Bon-era” of AC/DC that serve as his greatest legacy – “Highway to Hell,” “Sin City,” “Whole Lotta Rosie,” “Let There Be Rock,” “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”…the list is seemingly endless.
How does Bon measure up to rock’s all-time great frontmen? Classic Rock Magazine declared him “The Greatest Rock n’ Roll Front Man of All Time” in 2004, beating out the lofty likes of Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, and Axl Rose in the process.
And now the spirit of Bon Scott lives on with the upcoming second annual tribute show.

For Canada’s The Metal Voice former Anthrax Singer Neil Turbin spoke to Ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach at the Rock for Ronnie 2025 concert on Sunday, May 18 at Autry Museum in Griffith Park for Ronnie James Dio Stand Up & Shout Cancer Fund. Bach was headlining the fundraiser benefit concert.
Bach talked about Ronnie James Dio, his current album and spoke briefly about Skid Rows other singers When asked who he thought was the best singer (other than himself) Skid Row had in their career he replied,” I would need to hear them sing and I have never listened to any of them ever. Why would I listen to that?
The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund (www.diocancerfund.org) was founded in memory of the legendary singer, who lost his life to gastric cancer in 2010. A privately funded 501(c)(3) public charity, the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund has already raised over $2 million since its inception. Monies raised have been committed to the cancer research work of the T. J. Martell Foundation for Cancer, AIDS and Leukemia Research, the gastric cancer research unit of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where Ronnie was treated for gastric cancer during the last six months of his life, and other cancer research projects. Since 2016, the Dio Cancer Fund has committed funds to support the research of Dr. David Wong and his team at the UCLA School of Dentistry in developing a simple, non-invasive saliva test for the early detection of cancer.
100% of the net proceeds from the ROCK FOR RONNIE will go to the Dio Cancer Fund, which is now in its 15th year of raising awareness and much-needed funding for cancer prevention, education and research for a cure. The organization also hosts the annual Bowl for Ronnie Celebrity Bowling Party in November.
