Greek progressive metal pioneers MOTHER OF MILLIONS unveil their second single, “The Innocent”, from the upcoming studio album, “T”, set for worldwide release on September 11 via ViciSolum Productions. Now available on all major streaming platforms, the track offers another glimpse into the band’s most ambitious and emotionally charged work to date.

Commenting on the song, the band explains: “In ‘The Innocent’ we reimagined a greek myth through the eyes of the lonely figure of Aegeus, always watching the sea and waiting for his son to return. Our song carries an ancient tragedy into the one we live today. The grief and the horror of war as experienced by the nameless, the refugees, the displaced.“

“Τ” is an album born from the tension between devastation and defiance, lyrically connecting 19th-century American poets with 20th-century Greek poets through themes of war, death, and eternity. Fueled by the relentless cycle of wars waged from above and endured from below, the record channels the roar of collapsing worlds and the pulse of those who refuse to be crushed by them.

From the opening moments, the album strikes with force, crushing riffs, thunderous rhythms, and vast atmospheric layers. Each track carries the weight of conflict yet burns with a fierce, unyielding hope, the kind that survives in the hearts of people who stand together when everything else falls apart.

The band describes the album’s core vision in their own words: “‘Τ’ is the endless cycle of wars declared by the powerful and died in by the poor. We shaped these songs from the echoes of screams and laments, but also from hope. A stubborn hope that the sun will rise over the ruins of the world, over the war drums, over the thunderous heartbeats of people standing together. Where metal meets cinematic atmosphere, ‘Τ’ is heavy music for heavy times.“

LEACH Announce New EP “Psychosomatic”, First Single & Video ‘Serpent Of Time’ Out Now

Swedish death metal band Leach announce their upcoming EP PSYCHOSOMATIC set for release on 9th October 2026. Hailing from Gothenburg and fueled by Scandinavian death metal aggression. The Swedish outfit delivers songs built to hit hard, stay loud and leave scars. Leach thrives where melody collides with violence and raw emotion refuses to be polished away. This music is born from pressure, frustration and resilience and crafted for those who’d rather face the darkness than to look away. 

PSYCHOSOMATIC is a four-track concept EP blending modern melodic death metal with hardcore intensity, crushing grooves and razor-sharp riffs. Each song represents a different psychological state of living with mental illness – from the breaking point and resilience to reflection and the endless cycle of intrusive thoughts. Rather than telling a linear story, the EP explores survival through shifting emotional states, balancing relentless aggression with atmosphere, melody and introspection. Heavy, dynamic and emotionally driven, PSYCHOSOMATIC is the band’s most personal release to date.

With the EP announcement the first single ‘SERPENT OF TIME’ is released today. It’s one of the most relentless tracks on PSYCHOSOMATIC blending modern melodic death metal with hardcore intensity, incisive riffs and a frantic chromatic breakdown that refuses to let up. Lyrically, the song explores the vicious cycle of mental illness, where time becomes both the serpent that traps you in intrusive thoughts and the only force capable of eventually loosening its grip. Heavy, uncompromising and emotionally charged, it’s a song about surviving the battle within while never losing momentum.

“Intrusive thoughts have this way of making time feel like your enemy. The longer you’re stuck with them, the tighter everything seems to close around you. Time as a circle. But time is also the thing that eventually creates distance from them. The poison and the antidote. That contradiction became the whole idea behind ‘SERPENT OF TIME’.”

Mental illness rarely follows a straight line. It fractures, traps, questions and endures. With their concept EP PSYCHOSOMATIC, Leach explores those shifting psychological states across four interconnected chapters, each portraying a different stage of the internal struggle rather than offering a single story or simple resolution.

Opening with ‘ONE BEAT FROM CALM, ONE CRACK FROM WIDE’, the EP captures the fragile moment where control begins to slip and the first cracks appear beneath the surface. ‘STRENGTH TO STRENGTH’ follows as an act of resilience – not a victory over darkness, but the determination to keep moving from one moment of strength to the next. At the center lies ‘N.F.F.N.S.N.C.’, an atmospheric spoken-word reflection that questions identity, depression, medication and what it truly means to heal. Closing the journey, ‘SERPENT OF TIME’ confronts the endless cycle of intrusive thoughts, portraying time as both the prison that confines us and the only force capable of eventually setting us free.

Musically, PSYCHOSOMATIC blends modern melodic death metal with hardcore intensity, razor-sharp riffing, dynamic songwriting and crushing grooves, balancing relentless aggression with moments of reflection and vulnerability. Rather than glorifying suffering, the EP seeks to understand it, exploring how people continue to move forward despite carrying invisible battles every single day.

LUMSK Announce New Album “Einsemda” + Release First Single ‘Daudmannhaugen’

Karisma Records is proud to announce the new album from the Norwegian folk/prog collective Lumsk. The band returns with Einsemda, a dark, emotional and deeply atmospheric new album based on selected poems by Tor Jonsson (1916-1951). Einsemda is set to be released on Karimsa Records on the 30th of October.

Following their acclaimed return after a long hiatus with Fremmede Toner, Lumsk have continued to refine their distinctive blend of progressive metal, folk rock and evocative Nordic storytelling. On Einsemda, the band moves even deeper into the emotional core of the material, shaping music that amplifies the tension, vulnerability, beauty and darkness of Jonsson’s poetry.

With the single “Daudmannhaugen” we present the first taste of our fifth album, where Tor Jonsson’s lyrics and our music find each other in a dark and beautiful landscape. The upcoming album shows a clear evolution with greater musical variety and complexity, while the band’s distinct signature remains as strong as ever.

The album features the poems “Einsemda,” “Vona”, “Mogning,” “Haust på Torget,” “Å Dikte,” “Eg er liv av ei kvinnes død” and “Daudmannhaugen.” Jonsson’s writing is known for its lyrical clarity, emotional intensity and stark contrasts between hope and despair, closeness and distance, life and death — a natural match for Lumsk’s powerful and nuanced sound.

Lumsk has this to say about the album and Jonsson’s poetry:
There is an emotional intensity in Tor Jonsson’s poetry that immediately resonated with us. We wanted the music to stay close to that nerve — not soften it, but bring it fully to life.
After Fremmede Toner, we knew we wanted to go deeper in the same direction. Einsemda feels more unified, more vulnerable, and more emotionally direct. We are incredibly proud of this album and excited to finally share it. It feels honest, powerful and true to both the poetry and the band.

The music is composed by Espen W. Godø, except “Å Dikte,” composed by Roar Grindheim. The album was primarily recorded in the band members’ home studios, with vocals, organ, piano and additional guitars recorded at Autumnsongs Recording Studio. Together with Rhys Marsh, Espen W. Godø and Espen Hammer worked closely on the production and mixing of the album, resulting in a record the band feels captures both the intimacy and the weight of the material.

High-octane crossover hardcore/thrash powerhouse EXTINCTION A.D. release the seventh single in as many months today. “Insomnia” is online now at all digital streaming/download platforms, as well as a new video.

“I can’t be the only one that feels like they’re bombarded with the atrocities of the world on a daily basis, right? I feel like there are constant reminders of human rights violations and the impending doom of the planet and then a ‘brush it off and just go to work’ mentality,” questions Rick Jimenez. “It’s difficult to break that cycle but understanding it and raging out against it is my first step. Living life with a PEOPLE OVER PROFIT mentality is an act of defiance unto itself today.

‘Insomnia’ is a very enjoyable song to put together musically. The majority of it is variations on one riff throughout with little nuances or key changes separating it from part to part. I was also able to use the first guitar I ever owned on the interlude section; a scaled down nylon string acoustic Franciscan guitar that I got in the spring of 1992.”

GRAVEYARD Release Stomping New Single & Video ‘A Means To An End’ from Upcoming Album

One of the most distinctive and revered forces in modern rock music, Sweden’s very own GRAVEYARD are back with a brand new single, ‘A Means To An End‘, the first glimpse at their highly anticipated 7th studio album Fever, which will be released onOctober 9th, 2026 worldwide on Nuclear Blast Records.

Arriving three years after the gloomier, introverted Six, GRAVEYARD are literally turning up the heat by delivering a sonic experience that is drenched in fuzz and distortion, sporting massive Sabbath-ian grooves on opener ‘Back From The Grave’, CCR fuelled grandeur on ‘Time To Tell’ and straight-forward, hard hitting rock on ‘Room Tempered’, ‘Tongue Tied’ and ‘Means To An End’. Formed in 2006, the band collectively emphasizes the fierce spirit of the album.

With Fever, the band returns to the forefront of the scene with a noticeably heavier, more direct sound. They’ve entrusted the mixing duties to Pelle Gunnerfeldt who is widely renowned for capturing the ferocious energy of bands such as The Hives, Refused, and recently Viagra Boys whereas mastering was handled by Robin Schmidt at 24-96 Mastering. Amidst its sheer drive, GRAVEYARD retained the undeniable, blues-soaked soul that originally defined their breakthrough album, Hisingen Blues, on slower songs like album closer ‘Dead Note’ yet with a good dose of fiery anger.

After the fairly subtle, mysterious art on Six, GRAVEYARD went for a striking visual approach on Fever relying on acclaimed Dutch artist Maarten Donders who cooperated with the band on their Split 7” with Goat, and whose work has been prominently showcased at cult festival Roadburn, featuring designs for more than 50 artists, ranging from Acid King to legendary Frank Zappa.

With two number-one albums in Sweden already to their name, GRAVEYARD will initiate the touring cycle with a co-headline run through Scandinavia with Blues Pills to properly celebrate the release of Fever, followed by Europe/UK wide touring and festivals in 2027.

OCCULT MASTER’s Self-Titled Debut Album Out Now, Combining Elements of 1970s & 1980s Heavy And Prog Rock

Finnish Occult Master released their self-titled debut album today on August 14th 2026 via Inverse Records.

In their heavy music, Occult Master combines elements of 1970s and 1980s heavy and prog rock. The album’s tracks range from more straightforward rockers to massive epics. Running through the entire album is an uncompromising attitude to create harsh and honest heavy rock, with a good song at its core.

The album’s soundscape is raw and pleasantly authentic. You can hear that the music was played live in the studio, as a band. Unnecessary fussiness and extreme polishing have been left out. This results in the album breathing, sounding fresh and invigorating, and human. However, the music itself is not simple ; on the contrary, progressive, complex, and surprising parts flow seamlessly, forming an interesting musical journey. Thoughtful lyrics, deviating from the run of the mill, create a mystical aura for the dark-toned music.

The lineup features Ari Eskola (guitar and vocals), Toni Mäki (bass and backing vocals), and Jussi Risto (drums). The debut album from the Occult Master trio, signed to Inverse Records, does not disappoint and promises quality music in the future: the next album’s worth of material is already almost ready.
