AMON AMARTH‘s latest US journey follows their hugely successful Metal Crushes All Tour 2024 which included a monumental raid at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver as well as arena stops in Portland, Vancouver, Quebec City, Asheville, Tampa, and Anaheim as well as 2022’s The Great Heathen Tour which saw the band bring their full European production to arena shows in Los Angeles, Montreal and New York. The tour also marked the first time an extreme metal band headlined the iconic Kia Forum.

AMON AMARTH continues to tour in support of their critically adored The Great Heathen Army full-length. Recorded with esteemed studio guru Andy Sneap and released in 2022, the record represents another bold leap forward for the band, as their trademark sound undergoes yet another skillful, evolutionary overhaul, both lyrically and musically. From the noisily rabble-rousing “Find A Way Or Make One” and the pummeling, pugilistic “Get In The Ring” to the cinematic squall of the title track, The Great Heathen Army encapsulates the essence of this legendary band, while still allowing acres of space for new ideas.

Wrote Louder Sound of the offering, “The Great Heathen Army is simultaneously everything that helped AMON AMARTH climb to the top in the first place and a return to the darker, less showy sound of their early days… the band’s innate sense for fist-pumping riffs and colossal hooks remains impossible to deny.” Concurred Blabbermouth, “Both an unapologetic, festival-ready dose of new, gleaming, Viking-populated anthems, and one of the darkest and most brutal albums they have yet made, The Great Heathen Army feels celebratory, too – an extravagant blowout to mark the start of the next invasion.”

Formed in Tumba, Sweden, in 1992, AMON AMARTH has forged an extraordinary legacy over three decades of thunderous, anthemic metal, all rich in the magical imagery of Viking history, folklore and culture. With albums like 2008’s widely acclaimed Twilight Of The Thunder God and 2016’s conceptual triumph Jomsviking, the Swedes have been consistent standard bearers for heavy metal as a life-affirming and communal experience, armed with a seemingly endless stream of instant classic songs.

Melodic rockers CARE OF NIGHT are pleased to unveil the live version of “Cassandra”, along with a visualizer video, taken from their new album “Live At Sweden Rock Festival”, scheduled for release on March 28th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

Pre-order “Live At Sweden Rock Festival” HERE

Talking about the new single, Care Of Night say: “Another oldie but goldie, Cassandra is the track that got us our first record deal. A solid rock anthem with a chorus to die for. The song is yet another staple in our live set – a song we couldn’t possibly skip due to the vast amounts of love it gets from fans. A true milestone in the Care of Night history”.

The band also comment on the new album: “It feels great to release a live album, like all our musical heroes did in the 70’s and 80’s. Sweden Rock Festival is an institution when it comes to rock and metal music in Sweden. To be asked to play with Care of Night was an honour and something we’ve dreamed about since childhood. Most of the band has been yearly visitors to the festival for many years and it was an incredible feeling to experience it from the inside. Huge thanks to Sweden Rock and the outstanding audience for showing such massive support. We hope to be back there soon and that this album will transport you to great concert memories and warm festival nights!”

Care of Night is one of the most gifted bands playing classic ’80s melodic rock of the current scene. They have their own taste for strong hooks, big arrangements and a lot of feeling is the core of the band’s approach to their personal sound. Add to this a slightly progressive feel in their songs, while never losing their melodic touch.

Following the release of their third album “Reconnected”, their first for Frontiers, the band returned to the stage for a very special occasion. They had the honor to be invited to play in front of more than 15,000 people at Sweden Rock Festival!

The band took the chance to record their performance and, together with the label, it was decided to release the tapes as they showed a great and new side of the band’s sound.

To round up the release the band offers as a special present 2 original demos from when they just started to find their sound! Get ready for a delightful listen from start to finish, and wait until the band comes on stage soon!

TYRMFAR Release Final Single ‘The Reckoning, Pt.2’ from Upcoming EP

TYRMFAR proudly unveil their single, “The Reckoning, Pt. 2,” the final track leading up to the release of their highly anticipated EP, Symbiosis, set to drop on March 28th, 2025, via Wormholedeath.

The Reckoning, Pt.2 reframes the central question posed in The Hubris of Humanity, Pt.1′: Will humanity’s legacy be one of destruction or redemption? The juxtaposition of destruction and renewal ties the two parts together, offering a cohesive narrative about humanity’s relationship with the Earth and its responsibility to evolve before it’s too late.

The Reckoning, Pt.2 features the unique signature sound of the band’s blackened death metal, blending relentless aggression with a haunting atmosphere. crushing riffs and guttural roars intertwine with ominous melodies, capturing the tension between destruction and redemption.

The single is now available on all major digital platforms.

Hailing from the Swiss mountains, Tyrmfar quickly made their mark in the extreme metal scene since their 2013 debut. Their EP In The Depths Of A Dark Spirit (2015) and the acclaimed Human Abomination (2017) led to major European festival appearances, including Metal Days, where they earned praise from Daily Rock as “artists who can shake the most seasoned headliners.” With their second album, Renewal Through Purification, and their 2022 release Dialectic of Ego and the Unconscious, Tyrmfar solidified their sound, embarking on a European tour with Gorgoroth.

The upcoming Symbiosis EP pushes the band’s compositional boundaries further, blending their blackened death metal roots with modern influences. Against the backdrop of an uncertain ecological and social climate, the EP reflects a deep exploration of humanity’s relationship with nature. Each band member’s distinct style contributes to the collaborative process, bringing raw emotion and intensity to both the music and their live performances.

EMBRIONAL Premiere Lyric Video for New Track ‘Obliteration Rites’

Poland’s death metal ensemble EMBRIONAL (feat. members of Azarath, ex-Furia and ex-Christ Agony) shares new single “Obliteration Rites” in lyric video. The song foreshadows the band’s third studio album “Inherited Tendencies for Self-Destruction”, due out March 21st on Agonia Records.

Pre-orders for the album are now available and can be found at this location.

EMBRIONAL‘s fourth full-length marks a new chapter for the Gliwice-based four-piece. The compositions take on a redefined approach, from writing, recording, through self-production by vocalist Skullripper of Azarath fame. The drums and guitars  give off a natural and spacious sounding, having been tracked at the atmospheric Piekło Niebo Studio in cooperation with Ataman Tolovy. Combined with crisp growls, hounding bass & tremolo arm-prone guitar solos – registered at Panzer Studios – the sonic arrangement turns out suffocating and dark, layered with punishing outbursts not impervious to more climatic moments along the album’s near 40 minute run. Production-wise, the longplay has been diversified by throwing in technical flavors and a balanced amount of samples, which smartly add up to its heaviness. Haldor Grunberg took care of mixing and mastering at Satanic Audio (Behemoth, Azarath, Pestilence). Maciej Kamuda painted the cover artwork and Maciej Mutwil portrayed the band in photography.

“We are very pleased with the album” comments the band. “Our sound signature matured and stands out from our earlier offerings. In conscious avail of our past experience, the compositions and production undergone a deliberate treatment, unheard in Embrional’s music before.”

Tracklisting:
1. Choirs of Apocalypse (intro)
2. The World Deserves Self-Destruction
3. Inspiration to Slay
4. Seduced by the Lies
5. Lies of God
6. The Shrine of Collapse
7. Suicide Journey
8. Purified by Death
9. Sadistic Desire
10. Extinction (outro)
11. Obliteration Rites

Line-up:
Skullripper – vocals, guitars
Darek Młody – drums
Marek – guitars
Armagog – bass

HELVITNIR Premiere ‘Draugr’ Single from Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 28, 2025

No Clean Singing is hosting the exclusive premiere of “Draugr”, the haunting new single from Norwegian black metallers HELVITNIR. This track is taken from their upcoming album, “Wolves of the Underworld”, which promises to immerse listeners in a world of dark, epic black metal. Be sure to check it out before the album’s official release!

Stream “Draugr” at THIS LOCATION.

“Wolves of the Underworld” is due out March 14th, 2025 via Dusktone.

The band was born when Hellcommander V, Bjarkan, and Ihizahg parted ways with Ragnarok, carrying with them years of shared creative synergy. Determined to continue their collaboration, the trio brought along a treasure trove of raw material, which they meticulously refined in the months that followed.

HELVITNIR officially announced their arrival in November 2023 with the release of the single and video “Helvitnir”, which immediately set the tone for their uncompromising style. Shortly after, they recorded a 7-track demo, which quickly caught the attention of Dusktone. The momentum continued with the December release of a second video single, “Void of Emptiness”.

The band solidified its lineup at the end of 2023 by enlisting the legendary drummerJan Axel “Hellhammer” Blomberg, whose technical prowess and iconic style brought an additional layer of ferocity to HELVITNIR’s sound. With the lineup complete, the band set its sights on the future.

In June 2024, HELVITNIR released an EP featuring four tracks from their demo. The EP was met with acclaim, showcasing the band’s versatility — a masterful blend of raw, chilling aggression and majestic, grandiose compositions.

HELVITNIR’s music stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Norwegian black metal while forging a distinct identity that bridges the past and the future. Drawing from the raw intensity and bleak atmospheres that defined the genre’s origins, the band weaves in a modern sensibility that expands its sonic scope. Their sound pays homage to the cold, primal energy of their predecessors while pushing boundaries, introducing dynamic shifts, melodic textures, and a powerful sense of narrative. This careful balance between reverence for tradition and a forward-thinking approach positions HELVITNIR as torchbearers of the genre’s next chapter.

By September 2024, HELVITNIR entered the studio to craft their first full-length album. The result is “Wolves of the Underworld”, a brutal and evocative work that promises to leave an indelible mark on the black metal landscape. The album is a sonic journey through icy wastelands and infernal depths, where every track resonates with a visceral, unrelenting energy.

Prepare to be engulfed by the icy fury of HELVITNIR as “Wolves of the Underworld” storms into the metal scene this March.

Tracklist:

1. Throes Of Transformation
2. Black Flame Triad
3. Helvitnir
4. Void Of Emptiness
5. Imagery Of Deceit
6. Odinsbane
7. Dread Biter
8. Helheim’s Throne
