The cat is out of the bag: Century Media Records is excited to announce the signing of the German metalcore band SAMURAI PIZZA CATS. This signing kicks off the year strongly, with the band bringing a unique mixture of metal-, death-, and trancecore to the label. Formed in 2021, Samurai Pizza Cats released their debut album, “You’re Hellcome,” in 2023. The record was praised for its innovative blend of dance and metal elements, energetic performances, and the groove that permeates every track.

Their latest release, “Super Zero,” explores themes of heroism and self-acceptance, featuring a dynamic blend of metalcore and electronic elements, with a cinematic music video that has already reached over 300k views on YouTube. The band’s next single is expected to be released next month, on March 20th.
Samurai Pizza Cats is a German metalcore band formed in 2021 in Castrop-Rauxel. The band consists of vocalist Sebastian Fischer, guitarist Daniel Haniß, bassist Stefan Reufer, and drummer Stefan Buchwald. Their name is a nod to the 1990s anime series of the same name. The band quickly gained a loyal fan base thanks to their energetic live performances and unique sound that blends metalcore, deathcore, and trancecore elements. Samurai Pizza Cats released their debut album, “You’re Hellcome,” in September 2023, and established themselves in the German metalcore scene.

Just a few days until the release of GRIMA´s sixth studio album and Napalm Records debut Nightside – out this Friday, February 28, 2025 via Napalm Records – the Siberian atmospheric black metal force reveal their third single “Beyond the Dark Horizon”. GRIMA sketches a desolate, twilight-bound world where sorrow stretches endlessly beyond the skyline, and a mighty black river carves its path through the kingdom of shadows. The equally beautiful and sorrowful melody mirrors the inexorable passage of time, carrying the listener through spectral landscapes where fate is bound to darkness – a perfect melody for nightmares.
After several shows across Europe, including some with fast-rising German death metal force Kanonenfieber, GRIMA are set to honor the spirit of the Siberian Forest, Taiga, once more on Nightside. In addition to their unforgettable sound, the band’s look – towering like living trees with intimidating carved wooden masks and branched fingers – adds another haunting element to their brutal yet beautiful output.
GRIMA about the new single “Beyond the Dark Horizon”: “The icy waters of the mighty Yenisei river, upon which our hometown of Krasnoyarsk stands, remain unfrozen even in the bitter cold of -40°C. This river carries an untamed force, flowing endlessly beyond the horizon, vanishing into the vast unknown. It is more than a current—it is a symbol of relentless motion, shrouded in the depths of darkness. Day after day, it fills an abyss without end. Its frigid waves wash over the shores, seeping into the hearts of those who dwell nearby, leaving them with a yearning for warmth that will never come. Hope drowns in its depths, and somewhere beyond the black line of the horizon, an unseen fate awaits.“
Showing their variety within the black metal genre on their upcoming full-length Nightside, GRIMA also incorporate death metal-like growls into their delivery on tracks like “Impending Death Premonition” and showcase focused effort and skill on the album’s more brief, accessible offerings. “Curse of the Void” is as dreamy and complex as his big brothers, but also as satisfying as a more direct black metal anthem. With their mysterious visual aura and intriguing sound inspired by the unforgiving nature around them, GRIMA continue to prove themselves as an unmissable band to watch within the genre!
Mixing, mastering, and helming Nightside’s harsh, powerful but also clear-as-an-icicle sound is black metal-experienced producer Vladimir Lehtinen. The two driving forces behind the band’s unique sound, Vilhelm and Morbius, both deliver different aspects of the band’s impactful, massive guitar riffs, leads and melodies, while Vilhelm also soars as the voice of the woods. Guest musicians Vlad (drums) and Serpentum (guitars) also join the fold both in studio and on stage.

Following the album release, GRIMA will conquer various stages across Europe and the UK together with ULTAR, Houle & Antrisch in spring this year, kicking off April 25th at Ragnarök festival.

Finnish death metal band Wretched Path releases their second album “Sea of Death” on March 26th 2025. First single “Release of Violence” introduced the straight-forward and raw side of the upcoming album. Now released title track of the album dives into the versatile depths with epic touch. The band also releases a music video of the single.
“The lyrics were inspired by the sound of a submarine sonar heard in the original intro, which took the lyricist’s thoughts to the Baltic Sea in 1945, where several ships were sunk during the final days of the war. These events constitute the greatest loss of life ever recorded at sea. This track is the perfect conclusion to the album.” tells the Singer Esa Salminen.
Formed in 2020 by seasoned musicians from renowned bands like Pestigore, Born of Thorns, Tukkanuotta, and Warmen, Wretched Path was born out of a desire to return to their Death Metal roots. Their debut album received rave reviews from various magazines and websites, and they played several gigs around Finland including the legendary Nummirock festival 2023.
Canadian heavy metallers BREAKER have signed a licensing deal with Wormholedeath Records for their self-titled EP Breaker, due for release on 04 April 2025.
Formed in 2023 by vocalist Terje Fiskvatn, guitarist Caleb Beal (Villain, Midnight Malice), and drummer Rider Johnson (former Razor), BREAKER quickly crafted their signature sound, blending high-octane metal with fierce energy. The band’s debut EP, Breaker, features tracks like Liberty and Babylon, written by Fiskvatn and expanded with the powerful contributions of Beal and Johnson.
The EP captures the essence of classic speed and heavy metal, with blistering guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and dynamic vocals.
