FRAXURES Drop Debut Album “Hexes” with New Video for Title Track

Southern California metal force FRAXURES unleash their highly anticipated new album, Hexes, September 4 via Cleopatra Records, accompanied by the release of the official video for the album’s title track, “Hexes.”

A dark, heavy and deeply conceptual record, Hexes takes FRAXURES into ambitious new territory.

Built around a singular premise, each song explores the forces that bind, haunt, manipulate and ultimately shape the human experience.

The title track serves as the gateway into that world.

The official “Hexes” video was directed and edited by FRAXURES bassist Vinny Marvaso of Marvaso Media and incorporates fragments from the upcoming film The Behemoth, creating a cinematic visual counterpart to the album’s ominous atmosphere and central theme. The Behemoth is forthcoming through Cleopatra Venom.

The release of Hexes follows the album’s third single, “Trauma Bond,” which introduced listeners to the record’s curse-driven concept through the destructive cycle of a relationship built around shared trauma.

Frontman Travis Neal described “Trauma Bond” as being about two people who remain helplessly connected despite the toxicity between them — trapped in a constant push and pull until the bond can finally be broken and freedom found outside the chaos.

That was only the beginning.

Across Hexes, FRAXURES expands the concept into a collection of individual stories, with each track examining its own form of darkness, while the album as a whole creates a larger narrative of entanglement, consequence, struggle and release.

Formed in Southern California in 2020, FRAXURES features Travis Neal (vocals), Fred Aching (drums), Vinny Marvaso (bass), Nolan Davis (guitar/vocals) and Esty Sanchez (guitar).

The five seasoned musicians bring experience from an extensive collection of acclaimed projects, including Divine Heresy, Powerflo, William Shatner Band, Deadgroove, Kings Of Thrash, BillyBio, The Bloodline, Black Sky Ashes and A Hero Within.

Born during the uncertainty of the pandemic, FRAXURES quickly developed into a formidable heavy music entity, combining the visceral impact of metal with melody, atmosphere and a distinctly modern edge. The members’ collective musical history is unmistakable, but rather than relying on the past, FRAXURES have used those foundations to establish an identity entirely their own.

That evolution has been reinforced onstage, where the band has performed alongside artists including Fear Factory, Snot, Taproot, Orbit Culture, Of Mice & Men and Unearth.

FRAXURES made their recorded debut with the critically acclaimed Firewater Sessions EP, produced by Billy Graziadei of Biohazard. Its combination of crushing riffs, expansive melodies and thought-provoking lyrics laid the groundwork for the band’s next chapter and ultimately led to FRAXURES joining the Cleopatra Records family.

The band subsequently released “Blackheart Serenade” and its interpretation of Depeche Mode’s “It’s No Good,” which broke onto Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart.

Now, with Hexes, FRAXURES deliver the record toward which that momentum has been building.

For listeners who want to venture deeper into the album’s concept, the physical editions provide another layer to the experience, with the band inviting fans to “grab the vinyl or deluxe CD to explore the deeper meaning of each track.”

Hexes arrived worldwide September 4, 2026 via Cleopatra Records.

ISKALD Finally Unleash First Single ‘The Other Realm’ from Upcoming Album

Norwegian melodic black metal veterans ISKALD have finally released “The Other Realm”, the first and only single from their highly anticipated sixth full-length album, “Curse of the Mind”, due out on September 25th, 2026 via Dusktone.

After two teasers offering fragmented glimpses into the record, “The Other Realm” opens the door to the album’s first chapter in full. Vast, cold and deeply atmospheric, the track combines ISKALD‘s characteristic melodic black metal with a more imposing and immersive approach, moving between driving passages and expansive sections where melody and atmosphere take centre stage. It is the first complete piece from “Curse of the Mind” and provides a decisive introduction to the psychological descent at the heart of the album.

Stream “The Other Realm” at THIS LOCATION.

Frontman Aage Krekling comments:

“With ‘The Other Realm’ we finally open the gate.
After two teasers that were meant as invocations – fragments from across the whole album – it felt right that the first complete song should be the beginning of the story itself. ‘The Other Realm’ is Chapter I, The Descent. It is that moment of realization when you understand you are already in Helheim. Not dead, but empty. The vastness, the cold, the isolation – that stark, Norse-inspired landscape is not fantasy for us, it is the shape taken by inner darkness.
Musically it contains everything ‘Curse of the Mind’ is about – fast and brutal yet melancholy and atmosphere with dynamic that breathes, built by this five-piece line-up for the first time. ‘The Other Realm’ It’s an opening assault that drags you straight into the new unknown – where blasting intensity collides with fragile, mournful melody. If the teasers were the doorway, this is the first step into the void. The rest should be experienced as one piece.”

Following the acclaimed “Innhøstinga” (2018), the new album marks the beginning of a new chapter for the band after signing with Dusktone in early 2026. Available on colored LP, black LP, CD Box and CD, “Curse of the Mind” was recorded during the summer of 2025 at Strand Studio in Beiarn, mixed and mastered by Hallstein Sandvin, and features artwork by SG7 Graphics.

For over two decades, ISKALD have stood among the leading names in Norwegian melodic black metal. Now performing as a five-piece, the band expands its trademark northern sound with its most ambitious and immersive work to date.

Built as a conceptual journey, “Curse of the Mind” unfolds through four interconnected chapters linked by ritualistic invocations, exploring themes of psychological torment, inner conflict, fragile hope and ultimate sacrifice. Framed within a stark, Norse-inspired vision of Helheim, the story is mythological in setting but deeply psychological at its core. Helheim is not merely a place, it is the shape taken by inner darkness. The true battlefield is the mind itself.

The album unfolds in four movements, connected by four ritual Invocations:

I. The Other Realm – The Descent
Vast emptiness, fog and isolation.

II. Manifestation of Madness – The Prison
Doubt, fragmentation and psychological collapse.

III. A Burden of Hope – The Fragile Light
Strength found through accepting the darkness within.

IV. The Sacrifice – The Ritual
Before the throne of Hela, suffering becomes meaningful.

Tracklist:

1. Curse of the Mind – Invocation I
2. The Other Realm
3. Curse of the Mind – Invocation II
4. Manifestation of Madness
5. Curse of the Mind – Invocation III
6. A Burden of Hope
7. Curse of the Mind – Final Invocation
8. The Sacrifice

Upcoming ISKALD concerts:

Trondheim/(TBA): 29.01.2027

Line-up:

Simon Larsen – Guitars
Ben Hansen – Guitars

ISKALD were formed in 2005 in Sortland, Northern Norway, by Simon Larsen and Aage Krekling, with the ambition of creating a distinctive form of melodic black metal deeply connected to the atmosphere of the Arctic north. After the self-released “Northern Twilight” EP, the band gained international attention with their debut album “Shades of Misery” (2007), establishing themselves as one of the most promising acts in the Norwegian scene.

Throughout their career, ISKALD have developed a sound where cold melodies, aggression and atmospheric depth coexist, drawing inspiration from nature, Norse heritage and existential themes. Their discography includes acclaimed albums such as “Revelations of Reckoning Day” (2008), “The Sun I Carried Alone” (2011), “Nedom og Nord” (2014) and “Innhøstinga” (2018), each marking a further evolution of their artistic vision.

Having performed at festivals including Inferno Festival, Midgardsblot, Hove Festival and by:Larm, and shared stages with major names in extreme metal, ISKALD now enter a new phase with Dusktone. The partnership leads to the release of “Curse of the Mind”, their sixth full-length album and first concept record, arriving in 2026.

UK Glam Rocker BOBBIE DAZZLE Unveils New Single ‘Wonder’ with Official Video

BOBBIE DAZZLE, the catsuit-sporting queen of UK Glam Rock, is proud to unveil her new single, “Wonder,” taken from her upcoming sophomore album, ‘Star Power,’ set for release on October 2nd via Rise Above Records.

The new track arrives alongside an official video, available below.

Since the release of her debut, BOBBIE DAZZLE has rapidly established herself as one of the most distinctive new voices in UK Glam Rock, sharing stages with legendary artists including Alice Cooper, Sweet, Lita Ford and Thunder’s Luke Morley, as well as appearing at London’s Hyde Park with Jeff Lynne’s ELO. Along the way, the artist born Siân Greenaway has transformed her flamboyant alter ego into a fully realized musical world built on infectious melodies, theatricality, dazzling musicianship and unapologetic fun.

Now, BOBBIE DAZZLE channels that whirlwind experience into ‘Star Power,’ an album that expands upon the sonic and visual identity established on ‘Fandabidozi’ while introducing a little more grit and bite. The eleven-song collection was overwhelmingly written by BOBBIE and keyboardist Chris Dando and was recorded in the same studio as her debut, creating a natural connection between the two records.

‘Star Power’ Track List:

  1. Star Power
  2. Dirty Martini
  3. The Passenger
  4. Jack Rabbit
  5. Wonder
  6. The New Thing
  7. Who Ya Gonna Lean On
  8. Take to the Streets
  9. Snakes & Ladders
  10. Planets Collide
  11. Feel it Too

‘Star Power’ features several notable collaborations. Former Runaways guitarist Lita Ford contributes a blazing guitar solo to the closing track, “Feel It Too,” while Pendulum’s Gareth McGrillen co-wrote and plays bass on “Snakes And Ladders,” bringing an unexpected connection between BOBBIE’s glam rock world and the electronic intensity of drum & bass.

Throughout ‘Star Power,’ BOBBIE’s love of classic rock, glam, progressive rock and theatrical songwriting remains at the forefront. The album’s opening title-track picks up where ‘Fandabidozi’ left off, while songs such as “Jack Rabbit” showcase her willingness to embrace the grand, elaborate arrangements of her influences. Her signature flute playing also remains an integral part of the sound, adding another dimension to an album that refuses to be confined to a single era or genre.

Chris Dando once again plays a key role in shaping the BOBBIE DAZZLE sound, particularly through his intricate stacked vocal harmonies, while guitarist Ash Baker and bassist Leon Smith, both members of her live band, contribute throughout the record and to its production.

At its core, ‘Star Power’ is an album about joy, escapism and the power of music to provide a world away from everyday struggles.

MY SLEEPING KARMA Celebrate 20 Years at First SOL Festival in Aschaffenburg

On September 12, 2026, Sound of Liberation will host its first-ever SOL Festival, an open-air event in Aschaffenburg, Germany, and a true homecoming for everyone involved.

For more than 20 years, Sound of Liberation has been a firmly established name within the international stoner, psych and desert rock scene. What began as a DIY booking agency in Laudenbach am Main in the early 2000s has grown into a multifaceted company with its own label, responsible for numerous festivals and tours throughout Germany and Europe.

The first SOL Festival in its home region takes place for a very special reason: My Sleeping Karma are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Together with longtime companions, friends and promising newcomers from the regional scene, the one-day festival combines scene spirit with local roots while also marking the grand finale of Aschaffenburg’s Sommerbühne 2026.

Opening the festival are Aschaffenburg’s Abzug, blending motorik rhythms, psych rock and kraut-influenced sounds, alongside new formation Noisy Valet, featuring members of Electric Jugs, Dead Taste, Clear Gash, Abzug and Shocktroopers. Describing their sound as “Dull Music”, the band combine murky psychedelic comedown rock with repetitive rhythms, dense layers of sound and noisy guitars.

Darmstadt’s Lucid Void take things further into psychedelic territory with atmospheric guitars, hypnotic grooves and progressive dynamics, followed by Dortmund’s Daily Thompson and their raw blend of fuzz rock and grunge. Berlin’s Rotor, one of Germany’s defining instrumental bands, bring more than two decades of heavy stoner riffs, progressive elements and rhythmic precision to the stage.

The emotional highlight of the evening comes from My Sleeping Karma themselves, whose atmospheric soundscapes, warm guitar melodies and organic grooves will turn their 20th anniversary show into a very special hometown celebration.

Beyond the music, visitors can expect a carefully curated supporting programme featuring longtime partners and friends of Sound of Liberation. Among them are Ecomerch/Luvgreen with sustainable merchandise concepts, Aschaffenburg-based Demon Pedals with handcrafted pedalboards, and alternative second-hand store Bananaboot. A small SOL “stoner flea market” will also offer a selection of leftovers and finds from the past 20 years. SOL Festival is an open and family-friendly outdoor event. Children and teenagers aged 16 and under receive free admission.

The night continues after the festival with the official aftershow party at Hannebambel, where DJ DemjanSky will round things off with a mix of psychedelic rock, stoner, desert grooves and downtempo.

Special thanks go to the Cultural Office of Aschaffenburg, whose Sommerbühne provides the setting for this special festival day and makes the first SOL Festival possible. The event brings together music, community and atmosphere while providing the final highlight of Sommerbühne Aschaffenburg 2026.

ESHTADUR Summon New Video ‘Omen Of Millennia’ from Upcoming Album

Colombian melodic death metal band ESHTADUR has released a live video for “Omen Of Millennia”, offering another glimpse into their forthcoming album, “In Darkness All Shadows Gone“, due October 2nd, 2026.

“Omen Of Millennia” brings together the melodic, symphonic and modern dimensions of ESHTADUR’s sound. The song explores cycles of existence, reincarnation, and spiritual inheritance, reflecting on how unresolved wounds, debts, and lessons may continue across lifetimes, while what has already been learned becomes something carried forward.

Jorg comments:

“This track is the omen for what’s coming next with ESHTADUR. It also represents a collaboration between Camilo and me: we created the song by approaching a more modern side of the band’s sound – something easy to listen to, easy to catch, and easy to remember.”

At its core, the omen represents both a warning and a promise: the announcement of an approaching transformation. This idea connects the song to the broader concept behind “In Darkness All Shadows Gone“, where the figure of The Crow acts as a guide through existence, death, the void and the unknown.

The collaboration between Jorg August and guitarist Camilo Barbosa gives “Omen Of Millennia” a distinctive place within the album, with Barbosa also contributing the track’s guitar solo. Its more immediate approach offers another perspective on ESHTADUR’s sound while remaining connected to the darker and symphonic character of the upcoming record.

The accompanying live video brings the track into ESHTADUR’s performance environment, reflecting the band’s direct approach to the stage and its focus on musicianship, the songs themselves, and the connection with the audience.

Listen to “Omen Of Millennia“: https://lnk.to/w9iFfH

“Omen Of Millennia” is taken from ESHTADUR’s forthcoming twelve-track album, “In Darkness All Shadows Gone“. Four years in the making, the record expands the band’s melodic death metal foundations through extensive symphonic arrangements, layered vocals, and Tuvan voices, building its musical and conceptual identity around mysticism, transformation, and inner transmutation.

The album features the Caldas Symphonic Orchestra in Colombia, adding an orchestral dimension to its darker and more cinematic material. Produced by Jorg August, the record also features drums recorded in Poland by Michal Lysejko (Dieth) and was mixed and mastered by Tomasz Zed Zalewski.

Throughout “In Darkness All Shadows Gone“, The Crow serves as a recurring shamanic figure moving between existence, death, the void, and the unknown. Rather than presenting darkness simply as an oppressive force, the album approaches it as part of a broader journey toward transformation and self-discovery.
