WITHERFALL Release New Video And Single ‘Vintage’, in Memory of Late Drummer Adam Sagan

WITHERFALL have issued:

On 6 December 2016 our friend and original Witherfall Drummer Adam Sagan, (Circle II Circle, Into Eternity) passed away at 36 after a hard fought battle with Lymphoma. Along with many that knew Adam, Jake and I were beside ourselves with Grief. Vintage was inspired by the Wine bar that nestled itself much to conveniently near the studio at which we wrote. We had a photo shoot scheduled and Adam was set to get on a plane to LA from his home in Minnesota, but having massive pains in his midsection was diverted to a hospital. He missed the plane and soon we received a call from him revealing his cancer diagnosis. That is the reason there are no band photos of the original lineup. Jake and i looking to drown our despair in a few bottles of wine, made our way to “Vintage”. We sat for hours talking about Adam and what may lie ahead. The first lines in the song “A solitary light, not a soul around us” are quite literal. As we sat outside at our table with a single candle adding the atmosphere we watched the people passing by and contemplated the future.

Moving on to 2024, Witherfall as a live band was becoming very formidable. We decided to start taking tour offers and thus embarked on our first headline tour of Europe (after an epic stint supporting Angra). We were so taken aback by the outpouring of love for our music. You were all there singing along to every word. Screaming back every molody. Humming every Riff. We had a blast tearing through over an 75 minutes of music including both new and older songs in our discog. The highlight every night however was “VINTAGE”. This song obviouosly touched the fans as much as it affected ourselves. People were literally crying at the finale of the song. “Travel On My Friend”… We dedicated the song to Adam Every night.

Over the years we have received many fan letters, emails and correspondance detailing how this song helped them with their own loss. So on this 8th anniversary of the passing of Adam, we decided to let some of the fans have their own tribute in the form of a redux video. We hope you all have a blessed holiday and remember life is short.

EVIG NATT Return with New Single + Video ‘Sorrow My World’

Get ready for an all-consuming descent into the depths of sorrow and survival. Evig Natt is back with a new single, “Sorrow My World.” The track, accompanied by a stunning video, is the second taste of what’s to come on the band’s upcoming album, Vaketimen.

“Sorrow My World”: The Darkness Within

The track «Sorrow My World» deals with grief and how it can be all-consuming, eating you up from the inside to the point of no return. With no hope of relief, there’s no way out but through.

A Visual Story of Inner Battles

The video for «Sorrow My World» portrays a girl who is consumed by a demon. She’s been marked by its hands and battling its hold over her. She traps the demon by drawing a pentagram of protection around her finally releasing it from her body.

“Sorrow My World” is available now on all major digital platforms.

The single “Sorrow My World” also includes the previously released track “Når Lyset Svikte.”

EVIG NATT’s music is aggressive but subtle, noisy yet beautiful, a maelstrom of symphonic darkness that could only be described as Orchestral Gothic Doom Metal. From the unholy metal grounds of Karmøy, west Norway, this band follows in the footsteps of Einherjer and Enslaved, featuring ex-band members of both.

EVIG NATT was started as a studio project in 2003, by vocalist Kirsten Jørgensen and bassist Stein Sund. Soon after that, EVIG NATT recruited drummer Harald Magne Revheim.
In 2006 EVIG NATT signed with Omvina Records, and released their highly acclaimed debut album «I Am Silence» in early 2007.

EVIG NATT added Oskar Naley on vocals, Ruben Osnes, and Arne Marton Tangjerd on guitars for the recording of their darker and heavier second offering. After signing with Black Bards in 2009 “Darkland” was released to raving reviews in April 2010. This alliance saw EVIG NATT featured in national magazines worldwide, including Metal Hammer and Scream.

EVIG NATT released their third self-titled album «Evig Natt» on March 19th, 2016 and off the back of that got to tour countries such as Belgium and Japan.
EVIG NATT’s sound is unique, blending everything from progressive metal to black metal, and incorporates inspiration from bands like Anathema, My Dying Bride, Swallow The Sun, and The Provenance. This is a band to keep an eye out for!

Evig Natt is:
Kirsten Jørgensen: Vocals
Stein Sund: Vocals and bass
Arne Marton Tangjerd: Guitar
Ruben Osnes: Guitar
Tom Andre Enge: Drums

S.O.R.M Unleash New Standalone Single ‘Scream’

Swedish hard rock sensation S.O.R.M has unleashed the standalone single, “Scream”. This track marks the first release with new guitarist Patrik Sandström and showcases the band’s eclectic blend of hard rock, heavy metal, and classic rock – S.O.R.M style!

“Scream is S.O.R.M’s first song written as a four-piece band. So it’s Patrik’s first recording with S.O.R.M,” the band explains. “We are tired that us musicians can’t express ourselves with lyrics and music videos without being judged. So with “Scream” we stepped out of the box and wrote a song about Sex and being in control of your sexual needs. Writing music is a form of art. And like an artist that paints a portrait of two naked people having sex without being judged: Why can’t we musicians express ourselves the way we want?“

Formed in 2017, S.O.R.M quickly made a name for themselves with the release of their outstanding “Hellraiser” EP (2020), which introduced the band to the world and captivated audiences with their infectious hooks right from the start. The band’s 2023 debut album, “Under My Skin” (Noble Demon), further solidified their position in the hard rock scene, featuring guest appearances by legendary guitarists Doug Blair of W.A.S.P. and Nick Petrino of Dee Snider. Frontman Steve says about the video for the song “Roll With The Changes“:
“The thing turned out really well. When Marco came up with it, I thought it was going to be something standard – but when he said he needed a GoPro and wanted to film from a moving car, I took notice. When I got to see the video in our rehearsal room for the first time, I was immediately very impressed by it, downright enthusiastic – not least because part of it was recorded in the rehearsal room, where the guys really went wild. We really did the whole thing in DIY mode – and it turned out really cool!”

On their second album “Crossing The Pit”, the German thoroughbreds deliver eight condensed songs full of unspent energy: GROOVE THRASH METAL of the clearly outstanding class – rousing melodies and top-class choruses are waiting to grab the listener and never let go … [ learn more here ]

Industrial Icon LEÆTHER STRIP Releases Classic Zoth Ommog Label Singles + Rarities on Vinyl

Claus Larsen a/k/a Leæther Strip is releasing two beautifully packaged vinyl compilations highlighting some of his best-loved singles and rarities.

Drawn from the acclaimed ten CD The Zoth Ommog Years 1989-1999 box set, but focussing only on the earliest years, 1989-1991 (volume one) and 1992 (volume two), the two albums between them feature 21 tracks, beginning with his spectacular debut, the 1989 “Japanese Bodies” / “Battleground” 12-inch single.

This is followed by both sides of 1990’s Aspects of Aggression 12-inch, “Leæther Strip Part II (Re-Animated)”/“Fit For Flogging”; other cuts on volume one include all four tracks from the 1991 Object V EP, alongside cult favorite “Murder (Getting Away With It” in both its original mix and its pulse pounding remix.

Order at THIS LOCATION

If volume one focuses on Leæther Strip’s emergence and the early consolidation of his success, volume two is Larsen in excelsis.  The Yes I’m Limited EP, featuring newly worked “1992” versions of “Japanese Bodies” and first album stalwarts “Razor Blades” and “Touchdown Breakdown” offered an exquisite entré for the newcomers flocking to Leæther Strip’s side.

Side one of the album, meanwhile, is devoted in its entirety to another EP, Material, with its tantalizing glimpse of the Leæther Strip live experience, alongside the club sensations “Steal” and “The Nature of God,” and more!

Order at THIS LOCATION.

With several tracks making their first appearances on vinyl in decades, these two collections represent some of the most uncompromising, yet compulsive, industrial music of their era – one whose popularity and importance was so recently made apparent by the success of Leæther Strip’s 2024 Zoth Ommog tour.
