Thrash metal fans, pay attention. February 7, 2025 is the day. That is the day when “Gods And Creators”, the new album by the Swiss band KLAW, will be released. The brand new work, produced by V.O. Pulver and the band themselves in the Little Creek Studios, will be released via El Puerto Records. KLAW is currently presenting us with a great playthrough video of the track “Carousel Of Flames”, which can already be seen and heard in its album version.
Guitarist Pat on the music: “Carousel of Flames” was written just before the studio recordings and it is the only song that had never been played together within the band before. My basic idea was to write a catchy, simply structured track alongside the otherwise rather complex songs. A good melody in the chorus, a pumping straight forward verse riff, held together by a Swedish metal riff. The formula “less is sometimes more” worked and the song quickly developed into one of the most popular tracks within the band.
Singer Jonas on the lyrics: The soul of a child… So pure, so naive, so fragile…The song addresses the impressionability of children and the danger that arises from this.
Technically sophisticated, melodic, with groove, tempo, fat riffs and aggressive vocals – that’s what KLAW stands for with their new album “Gods And Creators”.
Guitarist Chasper says about the track: For me, “Press Start” was like creating a “melodic Slayer track.” My songwriting typically features switches between double-time and half-time, various key changes, and twin lead sections between the solos.
Singer Jonas comments on the lyrics:”Press Start” tells a story about a young boy left by his father… He grows up scared by the fact that his father never wanted to know him… In the end as an adult he becomes just like his father, leaving his sick wife and his child behind. It‘s about the question if children are meant to grow up becoming their parents and the fact, that children who are raised by a parent that has suffered from trauma have a much higher chance to also suffer from trauma often even directly because of this parent.

KLAW is a metal machine from Switzerland that plays modern thrash at a high level. Technically sophisticated, melodic, with groove, tempo, fat riffs and aggressive vocals. Employing a dazzling mix of glam rock, hard rock, and progressive rock, Angel‘s outrageous, white-satin-heavy image and equally over-the-top stage shows, making them one of the more colorful arena rock bands of the mid ’70s and early ’80s. Discovered by KISS bass player, Gene Simmons, the group issued their eponymous debut album in 1975, which hewed closer to prog rock than the glam pop that would be on future endeavors like On Earth as It Is in Heaven (1977) and Sinful (1979). The group released a total of five studio albums and one live album before going their separate ways in 1981. The band officially re-formed in 2019 with original members, Punky Meadows and Frank DiMino, and released their comeback studio effort, Risen, later that October and followed up with Once Upon A Time in 2023.
The group’s self-titled 1975 debut was recorded for Casablanca Records with a line-up comprising Frank DiMino (vocals), Punky Meadows (guitar), Gregg Giuffria (keyboards), Mickie Jones (bass), and Barry Brandt (drums). Now to celebrate the 50th Anniversary this classic has been remastered and is being released on both a 6-panel CD digipak and on 180G vinyl in two amazing Limited- Edition Colors with liner notes by journalist Dave Reynolds. There are only 300 of the White-Blue Splatter and 700 of the Black-Blue Swirl available with a limited number of bundles signed by the 4 surviving original members, Frank DiMino, Punky Meadows, Gregg Giuffria, and Barry Brandt.

RADIANT MOON was formed in 2021 when veteran musicians/songwriters Brian Facklam (keyboards, vocals) and Dave Shahin (guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals) joined forces with Jimmy Grillo (drums) and Nick Lieto (vocals). They came from very different musical backgrounds which helped to create a unique chemistry in the band. Dave Shahin has been in multiple original rock and prog bands as well as being Tommy Tedesco’s (Wrecking Crew Guitarist) East Coast bassist in the 90’s, and has performed with Steve Gadd. Jimmy Grillo is also a veteran of multiple original bands and has toured as Carl Palmer’s drum tech. Nick Lieto was a singer, keyboardist, and songwriter for Frogg Cafe who besides releasing original albums also performed at the famed Zappanale festival in Germany. Brian Facklam has not only been a major part of multiple bands but holds a master’s degree in music and music theory.
Together they’ve recorded their debut album Now’s The Time and it is already garnering impressive reviews, such as these.

Justin Warfield, lyricist and frontman of Goth Rock luminaries She Wants Revenge drops his first proper solo release since co-founding the legacy Dark Alternative band in 2004.
Yes, he’s released various side projects and one-offs over the years (and who can forget his guest appearance with Bomb The Bass way back when? Or the dancefloors he packed with “Live From The Opium Den”?).
But WARFIELD, he says, “is the only recording and touring project I’ve helmed outside of SWR.”
A first-listen hook-filled high-octane party anthem, “All The Fun (Kiss, Kiss, Kiss)” is the frenetic first single from Deathrock Devotionals Vol I, the upcoming EP out on Black Heathers/Cleopatra Records. The song blends the descriptive storytelling Warfield is known for along with future goth energy, and a touch of throwback to the classic 80s Deathrock born of his hometown Los Angeles.
The accompanying video, too, is riotously exuberant, smash cut imagery slicing through a characteristically energetic live performance, within and around which the song’s subtitle is enacted by couple after couple – and why not, with Valentine’s Day just around the corner?
