The legendary band from Pisa, LADYKILLER, is ready to conquer the music scene with their highly anticipated debut album, Big Bang Attack, set for release on February 14, 2025, via Wanikiya Record/Promotion in digital format across all major music platforms.

After almost two decades marked by challenges, lineup changes, and extraordinary collaborations, Ladykiller is back stronger than ever, delivering an album that promises to make a lasting impression. Big Bang Attack captures the essence of over 15 years of musical creativity with 10 brand-new tracks, including an incredible collaboration with the legendary Fabio Lione, a prominent voice in the global heavy metal scene.

From Their Origins to the Grand Debut

Founded in 2005 by Max Morelli and Dario Barbani in the city of Pisa, Ladykiller began their musical journey by performing covers before embarking on an original path that led them to create a vast repertoire of original songs.

After years of artistic evolution and personal battles, the band found new life with the addition of key members such as Alex Campenni (lead guitar and keyboards) and Rik Loni (lead guitar). Together, they’ve crafted a powerful and cohesive sound that encapsulates the spirit of Ladykiller: an explosive blend of heavy metal, melody, and pure energy.

Max Morelli’s journey as the band’s frontman, enriched by high-profile experiences such as his collaboration with Signum Draconis on the Dante Inferno album and the opportunity to open for Exodus at the Jungle in Pisa in 2013, has helped shape the beating heart of Ladykiller.

The Debut: Big Bang Attack

The album Big Bang Attack is a celebration of dedication, love for music, and overcoming limits. With a sound that combines power and emotion, the album promises to delight metal fans and beyond. Each track has been meticulously crafted, thanks to Alex Campenni’s technical expertise and the creative energy of the band.

This project represents a rebirth, a true musical explosion aimed at shaking up the international metal scene.

Release Date and Where to Listen

Don’t miss Big Bang Attack, available from February 14, 2025, on all major digital platforms through Wanikiya Record/Promotion.

Ladykiller is ready to give you an unforgettable Valentine’s Day: the perfect gift for all metal enthusiasts!

PARADISE SLAVES (Ex-36 Crazyfists, Diecast) Announce Debut Album “With Hell In His Eyes” + Share ‘Dreamer’ Video

PARADISE SLAVES, the brand new band featuring former members of 36 CRAZYFISTS and DIECAST, will release their debut album With Hell In His Eyes on May 2 via Spinefarm. Pre-order it here.

“To me, the overall concept of With Hell In His Eyes is to never surrender, continue to fight, and continue to be grateful for life,” states singer Brock Lindow. “Those were my thoughts. I’m a 49-year-old man who has lived and learned a lot. No one is perfect. Coming to this realization, trying to be better each day is a definitely goal.”

The band has also shared the video for “Dreamers.” Watch the video, comprised of footage of the band in performance mode, here:

A chugging palm-muted riff slips into an airy verse punctuated a breathy melody. The rush climaxes on a chantable chorus “I would’ve traded everything, but it kept running from me.”

“My wife is from South Africa, and we battled immigration for five years,” Lindow explains, offering a deep look at the highly personal subject matter. “She couldn’t leave the entire time, and her parents had gotten sick. It was really rough. It’s about our situation, the personal struggle, the hardships we dealt with.”

It follows Paradise Slaves’ debut single, “A FEVER TO DEFEAT.” Watch the lyric video and listen here.

The Boston-by-way-of-Anchorage quartet cements an uncanny union between aforementioned vocal powerhouse Lindow (36 Crazyfists), solo artist and guitarist Tyler Stroetzel, guitarist Jon Kita (Diecast), bassist Brad Horion (Diecast), and drummer Ryan Manning (Pentagram, Blitzkid).

Mutual admiration and respect sparked the initial flame for Paradise Slaves, yet their newly forged friendship lit up their chemistry as brightly as a pyre. That same energy surges through their full-length debut album.

As the story goes, Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel shot a text over to Lindow mid-pandemic. As it turned out, his younger brother Tyler was putting together a solo album, Dark Verses, Vol. 1, and wanted Lindow to sing on a track. Right away, the duo hit it off as collaborators and buddies.

Following the first song, they continued to write and record. Given his longstanding friendship with Brock, Kita naturally fit in and joined the fold followed by Horion and Manning. Jamming away, they nodded to formative inspirations such as Soundgarden and Alice In Chains twisted up with just the right amount of hardcore grit and heavy metal eloquence. In between, they performed alongside the likes of Killswitch Engage, Fit For An Autopsy, and more. Eventually, the group congregated at Tin Bridge Studios in Massachusetts in order to record.

“This band is something I didn’t expect,” admits Lindow. “After it fell in my lap, I was making new music with new people and we became brothers, and for that, I’m so grateful. When you get a gift like this, you need to put your best foot forward and have some fire. I definitely still have the same fire and love for making music as I always had and it manifests in Paradise Slaves.”

TRACK LISTING:

“For Those Who Watch the Sea”
“Aesthetic of Serpents”
“A Fever to Defeat”
“Dreamers”
“With Hell In His Eyes”
“Glass Mountain”
“Swim North” (Feat. Trevor Phipps)

GRAND SLAM Release New Video ‘Pirate Song’

Grand Slam release the video for “Pirate Song” from the critically acclaimed studio album, Wheel Of Fortune – out now via Silver Lining Music.

“Pirate Song” is an epic, multi-layered and steamy anthem accompanied by the jaunty video which captures the band exploring and gallivanting as pirates on the high seas.

“I was filming in Greece for 28 weeks, and the production used to take us out for meals every night where some traditional Greek players were getting up and playing old traditional Greek music,” offers founding member and guitarist Laurence Archer on ‘Pirate Song’. “I got chatting to one of the guys and asked what these traditional songs were all about. He said they were nearly all about piracy and the smuggling. I had an acoustic guitar with me I always practiced on. In all Greek music, they basically have this ‘open drone’ going on in the background, so, I de-tuned the guitar, started doing this thing, and the next thing I know I came up with the song.”

“Which incidentally marked my first ever one-take,” continues vocalist Mike Dyer. “I sang a live vocal on the demo. I’d never in my wildest dreams think I’d be talking like this, but I always wanted to do a first take like Daryl Hall. I remember standing in watching Daryl Hall sing and it pissed me off so much because he’d literally go in there and nail it, one take which is not normal. The vocal on ‘Pirate Song’ is the first-time take I’d ever sung it, and it stayed on the album. The song was then completed on an island, far, far away in the French Caribbean, in Guadeloupe when I first hooked up with Laurence whilst he was filming Death in Paradise… It’s been plain sailing ever since.”

Watch/Listen to “Pirate Song” here – Video Directed, Produced and Edited by Paul M Green.

Originally formed in the post ‘Lizzy days, by Laurence Archer and Phil Lynott, Grand Slam’s story is one of persistence and craft. Ever since the band was cut short in its prime, thus leaving a hole in the fabric of rock music, Archer had been nurturing a long-term plan to rebuild the Grand Slam machine, and here it is ready to race! Joined by Mike Dyer (Tokyo) on vocals, Benjy Reid (Praying Mantis) on drums and Rocky Newton (Lionheart, Def Leppard, Michael Schenker) on bass, Archer (UFO, Gary Moore) honours the traditions of rock and his song writing dynasty, whilst also firing forward into their future at full speed.

Hot from the release of their critically acclaimed sophomore full length, Wheel of Fortune, Grand Slam are ready to ransack stages around the world kicking-off 2025, all guns blazing, with a string of European dates alongside the legendary Saxon and Girlschool; more shows are being planned as you read, so don’t miss out!

SCARDUST Share New Video ‘RIP’

Progressive symphonic metal band SCARDUST are excited to share their new single and accompanying official video “RIP”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

Listen to “RIP” HERE

About the music video, Scardust say: “A cinematic video brings this concept to the screen with an unexpected twist. Filmmaker Lahav Levi depicts the story of Bitcoin’s mysterious creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, as he faces the bittersweet realization that he must vanish for his invention to thrive. Bitcoin enthusiasts may spot some of Satoshi’s famous last communications before his disappearance, and some authentic collectables. Others can simply enjoy an epic, high-energy short film about a heartbreaking decision.”

The band commented: “This is one of the heaviest and most technically complex tracks – arguably one of the most ambitious we’ve ever written. It features the powerful Hellscore choir, directed by Noa Gruman, and an exquisite Turkish strings orchestra, led by Mumin Sesler. Together, the choir and orchestra amplify the song’s dramatic and theatrical essence.” adding that “The song speaks about the painful act of asking a loved one to let you go, for their own sake. Through emotional death metaphors, it captures the sorrow of parting while encouraging them to move on and build a life without you.”

The first 5 years of the band’s existence saw the band’s first EP, “Shadow” (2015) position them as a promising newcomer, and the release of their first full length LP “Sands of Time” (2017) cement them as one of the leading progressive metal bands in Israel.

Scardust rapidly rose to the top of the local metal scene, selling out shows and opening for the likes of Symphony X, Therion and Epica. They soon started touring overseas playing festivals and headline shows in Germany, China and the UK as well as continuing to headline shows and festivals at home.

In winter 2019, the band entered the studio to record their follow up album, “Strangers” and, although the outbreak of COVID-19 played havoc with their recording plans, they managed to complete it and the album came out in fall 2020 through M-Theory Audio, and was followed by 7 self produced music videos released throughout 2020 and 2021.

Described by Dead Rhetoric as “captivating from start to finish”, “Strangers” presented a unique concept album built of complementary song pairs working from the outside in resulting in something fresh which received strong critical and fan approval.

With Covid continuing to decimate the live touring scene, 2021 saw them play just a handful of shows but 2022 started big with the visit of folk star Patty Gurdy, who came to Israel to perform a show with Scardust at the Gagarin club in Tel Aviv. The show took place in front of a live audience at the venue and over 2000 fans online. The visit was also the opportunity to shoot the band’s most viewed video to date, “Concrete Cages” in which Noa duets with Patty in a tale of mankind’s loss of connection with nature – with a shock ending!

Summer 2022 saw the band headlining multiple shows around Europe, playing to packed arenas at Wacken Open Air & Dong Open Air, where they earned the praise of Testament’s Steve Di Giorgio who, on hearing the band from backstage, ran out front and watched the entire set “mesmerised”.

2022 concluded with the release of the dramatic one-shot video “Evolution Of The Disney Princess – But She’s METAL” in which Noa weaves her way through a magical arrangement of all the best known Disney Princess songs in just 3 and a half minutes.

2023 was the biggest year for Scardust so far, with festivals in Germany and Belgium, the release of Game of Now, a cinematic piece that takes viewers into a futuristic, dystopian live show, and culminated with 2 weeks on tour with power metal originals Blind Guardian and signing with Frontiers Records!

Hellscore, the metal choir founded by Noa Gruman has been gaining significant recognition in the metal music scene. Known for their unique a cappella renditions of metal classics, Hellscore have collaborated with many well-known artists and bands such as Therion, Amorphis and Alestorm.

Noa Gruman is also much in demand as a vocalist and the already-impressive list of her recent guest vocal appearances includes albums by Amorphis, Ayreon, Therion, Gloryhammer, Nino Helfrich and Orphaned Land.

Line Up:
Noa Gruman – Vocals
Gal Gabriel Israel – Guitar
Aaron Friedland – Keyboards
Orr Didi – Bass
Yoav Weinberg – Drums

SUJIN Release New Video for ‘Dagon’

Sujin has released a video for “Dagon”, taken from the debut album “Save Our Souls” released in February 2024 by Scarlet Records and recorded live at the Opéra de Rennes (France) in June 2023.

Debut album “Save Our Souls” available at this location.

“Save Our Souls” album:

  • Produced by HK Krauss at Vamacara Studio (Loudblast, Betraying The Martyrs, Dagoba, Sinsaenum);
  • illustrated by Jon Ojibway (Persefone);
  • featuring Justin Bonitz (Tallah/Hungry Lights) on the song “Dead World Beyond” and Atoem on the song/intro “… —- …”;
  • FFO: In Flames, Children Of Bodom, Lamb Of God, Trivium, Gojira, Jinjer;

Sujin draws its inspiration from various metal scenes and other genres too, with a distinctive stylistic approach. Their music is a crossover between melo-death, deathcore, progressive and thrash metal, summarized by the band itself as modern metal.

Aggressive, melodic and always very intense, Sujin aims to break down the boundaries. Lyrically-wise, the band vehemently delivers its thoughts and feelings about the state of the world address – clinically depicting humanity’s scars and failures.

Sujin is derived from the word ʻsuijinʼ and has its origin in Japanese culture, translating as ʻthe people of waterʼ. Water being an essential element to all forms of life, there are already wars being waged in its name… This is something quintessential for the members of the band because of their personal commitment to the preservation and defence of Nature.

Originally from France, and formally known as Whisper Night, Sujin has decided to revoke any borders to become one with the whole world.

“Save Our Souls” tracklist:
