IMPURITY Release New Track ‘Ancient Remains’ from Upcoming Debut Album

Impurity are about to drag Swedish death metal back to its raw, chainsaw snarled roots with their upcoming debut album The Eternal Sleep, which will be out on 7th March via Hammerheart Records.

The new offering is recorded by Tomas Skogsberg at Sunlight Studio and mastered by death metal expert Dan Swanö’. The first single ‘Ancient Remains’ was recently released via the label’s YouTube channel.

mpurity comment on the track: “We’re proud to present our first release since our debut demo ‘Forever Lifeless’ two years ago. Three minutes of anti-christian death metal propaganda delivered by our debut album. ”Ancient Remains’ seeks out to condemn the religious pillage raids that exterminated pagan traditions across the world and its hypocrisy. It may not be a new topic but it’s one close to our hearts.“

Pre-orders for The Eternal Sleep are now available here: https://impurity.lnk.to/theeternalsleep

Track-list:
1. Denial of Clarity
2. Tribute to Creation
3. Ancient Remains
4. Life of Horrors
5. Lament to the Lost One
6. Pilgrimage to Utumno
7. Rectifying Pieces
8. Mourningside
9. The Eternal Sleep
10. Hymn of an Afterlife

Initially established in December of 2021 as Damnation by guitarist Ville Esbjörn and bassist Liam Curcic in Sickla, Stockholm. Seeking to complete their line up, lead-guitarist Axel Ask was inducted, finally uniting the members that would go on to forge Impurity. Shortly thereafter, with one of their many drummers, Impurity recorded their first demo Forever Lifeless in September 2022, at StudioPulverisa.

After the release of Forever Lifeless, Impurity went on to play multiple shows throughout Sweden, primarily in their hometown of Stockholm. During this time, Impurity entered the studio in March of 2024, to record their debut album The Eternal Sleep at Sunlight Studio. With Tomas Skogsberg’s production and Dan Swanö’s mastering work, they brought back a sound of Swedish Death Metal thought to be extinct. Incorporating the styles of bands such as Evocation, Eucharist, God Macabre and many more, their debut release will ensure an album that recalls memories of the forlorn underground scene in Sweden.

Signing with Hammerheart Records in September 2024 to release this debut, Impurity’s founding members, Esbjörn, Curcic, and Ask are set to push the boundaries further, aiming to challenge and redefine modern death metal with their relentless sound.

Impurity live:
07 Feb 2025: Stockholm (SE) @Debaser [tickets]
16 May 2025: Järfälla (SE) Klubb Fredagsmangel [tickets]

XIII DOORS Unleash Anthemic New Single ‘See How You’ve Come So Far’ from Upcoming Debut Album

Irish rock powerhouse XIII Doors are set to kick off 2025 with a bang, unveiling their electrifying new single, ‘See How You’ve Come So Far,‘ on January 17th. The release paves the way for their highly anticipated debut album ‘Into The Unknown’, set to drop on February 20th, promising to establish the band as a formidable force in the modern rock scene.

Wow! XIII Doors are ferocious. Amazing drumming, powerful relentless guitars, and a great chorus. Well done lads!” – Joe Elliot, Def Leppard

Hailing from Shannon, County Clare, XIII Doors are a dynamic four-piece hard rock outfit with a sound as bold and distinctive as the landscapes of their Irish homeland. The band draws inspiration from a wide spectrum of influences, blending the raw energy of Alter Bridge, the melodic intensity of Tremonti and Alice in Chains, and the anthemic flair of Daughtry and Five Finger Death Punch. This eclectic fusion is further enriched by founding member, vocalist, and guitarist DJ O’Sullivan’s deep appreciation for traditional music styles, including Irish, Arabic, and Hindustani traditions, which subtly permeate the band’s compositions.

“See How You’ve Come So Far” is the band’s fourth single and arguably their most accessible track to date. The song begins with a gentle, almost acoustic introduction, before building into a powerful riff and vocal melody. Compared to the band’s earlier releases, this track leans more towards hard rock than metal, offering a sound that’s as introspective as it is impactful.

Speaking about the new single, DJ O’Sullivan says; “Personally, I feel this song holds the deepest meaning for me, both lyrically and musically, across the entire album. For the guitar solo, I had the privilege of borrowing a Gibson Les Paul from the brother of my late guitar teacher (who has since also sadly passed away). Recording with that guitar felt like a full-circle moment – creating music meant to inspire others with an instrument that belonged to someone who inspired me so much during my teenage years. It really is something that I’m happy we got to do when recording.
Lyrically, the song is a reflection on life’s journey, seen through the eyes of someone who hasn’t always had an easy path, but has made changes for the better. It’s about recognising that even during tough times, progress is being made. Only when you look back can you truly appreciate how far you’ve come. It’s a reminder to be proud of who you are and to embrace the journey you’re on.”

XIII Doors’ debut album ‘Into the Unknown’, is due on February 20th and promises to deliver a collection of tracks that push the boundaries of contemporary rock, blending hard-hitting anthems with introspective ballads.

‘See How You’ve Come So Far’ will land on all major streaming platforms from January 17th. Stay tuned for updates and catch XIII Doors on tour later this year as they bring their electrifying live show to stages across Ireland and beyond via this link.

Croatian KEVLAR BIKINI Release New Video ‘Son of a Grinder’

Croatian KEVLAR BIKINI recently released a music video for “Son of a Grinder“, the ninth single from their current album OPT-OUTism, out via Geenger Records. With one more single, they’re set to hit a perfect 10/10!

The video shifts between two distinct moments: the band delivering their hard-hitting riffs and diving into a chaotic baking session. While the music is on point, their cake-making might not get Mary Berry’s stamp of approval, especially given the delightfully messy finale.

As always, Kevlar Bikini handled every aspect of the video themselves,

And if “Son of a Grinder” isn’t enough to get you pumped, Kevlar Bikini’s fifth album, Filthy Fusion, is coming soon.

Founded by the guitar-virtuoso Sylvain Octor-Perez, alongside the formidable talents of Nicolas La Rosa and Jordy Besse, this trio embarked on their relentless journey in 2013, marking the inception of a musical saga that would leave an indelible mark on the world of extreme music.

Exocrine’s debut album, ‘Unreal Existence,’ unleashed in 2015, was nothing short of a revelation. It showcased the band’s audacious creativity, instantly distinguishing them within the technical death metal scene. With labyrinthine compositions, ferocious riffs, and relentless drumming, Exocrine’s music delved into uncharted territories of sonic complexity.

In the years that followed, Exocrine solidified their signature sound, with albums such as ‘Ascension’ in 2017 and ‘Molten Giant’ in 2018, upon the latter release, Théo Gendron joined as a new member – forming the current-standing quartet of musicians. These releases cemented their reputation as pioneers of the genre, pushing the boundaries of what technical death metal could achieve. The band’s compositions are like sonic mazes, constantly evolving, keeping listeners captivated at every twist and turn.

Their 2022 release, ‘The Hybrid Suns,’ was yet another testament to their musical prowess. It demonstrated their unyielding commitment to pushing the envelope and exploring new realms of technical complexity.
