Deathcore band Boreal Grave released a new single “In Devil’s Embrace”. The track is taken from the forthcoming debut EP ‘I Am Your Bane’ which is set to be released on December 13th 2024 via Inverse Records.

  • Music by Ville Mahlamäki
  • Lyrics by Henri Puoliväli-Oksala
  • Single cover by Juha Nikupeteri

“In Devil’s Embrace” is the second single from Boreal Grave’s upcoming EP I Am Your Bane, which will be released on December 13, 2024. The song bings listeners to the edge of life and death, a place where light cannot reach and all hope is lost. The lyrics open the gates to despair, where the soul is imprisoned in darkness – relentlessly echoing the declaration “God has failed me,” like an incantation that grows stronger with every scream. This fate is like a prison, where death offers the only escape.

“In Devil’s Embrace” paints a dark picture of a soul’s struggle amidst divine betrayal and chains of darkness. It exudes pain and loss, revealing the final remnants of hope and a betrayed faith. Heavy riffs and chilling tones make the song an inevitable experience – the chorus lingers hauntingly, heavy and menacing.

The I Am Your Bane EP delves into life’s darkest aspects, such as the loss of a loved one, death, depression, bullying, despair, and betrayal. Each song plunges deep into the darkest recesses of the human mind, showing no mercy. “In Devil’s Embrace” offers a glimpse of what’s to come – deathcore that won’t let go, but instead pulls you into a dark world. I Am Your Bane will be released on December 13, so stay tuned and prepare yourself…

Polish Vikings/Death Metallers BURNING CREATION Unleash ‘Snakebite’ Single from Upcoming Debut Album

Posted in: News. Tagged: BURNING CREATION. Leave a comment

Burning Creation is a band founded in early 2022 in Żywiec (PL) by the Klimonda brothers after the suspension of the Haures band. The band’s lyrics touch on the subject of Vikings. Their music can be classified as melodic death metal, with strong vibe of Amon Amarth. In 2023, the band presented its debut release, the EP “Never Dead-Nation“, and after a year of waiting, it will present its debut album entitled “Sea Of Dead Bodies“.

The new album is an aggressive, raw, death metal sound, interwoven with melodic accents straight from the frosty North. However, it is not only the sound and graphic design that evoke Scandinavia here. The main role here is played by the lyrics, referring to, among others, to mythological events, such as the winter of Fimbul (“Fimbulvinter“), the death of Baldur (“Tears Of Mourners“) or the last battle of the warriors from Valhalla (“The Einherjers’ Return“), about mythological, Scandinavian folklore (“Eaten By Hulder“), historical events, such as the siege of Paris (“Time Of Broken Shields“), as well as the original concept of Vikings returning from beyond the grave to take final revenge for the sins of this world. In almost every case, they are marked by cruelty, stained with the blood of the enemies of the warriors from the north, and also filled with the darkest of human emotions, as well as striking ugliness, imperfection. However, there is no shortage of glory for the fallen comrades, fighting for one’s own, rising from one’s knees and remembering one’s values and who one really is. Most likely, this direction will be continued on the band’s next releases. Perhaps the scales will tip towards uncompromising death metal rather than one full of melody – towards even more bloodshed, but only the future will tell.

Klimonda brothers comments upcoming record: “Sea Of Dead Bodies consist of 9 brand new songs that take us to the world of Vikings and Norse Gods. This time, the corpses of warriors from the North have sailed on boats from across the ocean to continue the conquest begun on the “Never Dead-Nation” EP. In addition, the album will feature a bonus track in the form of a cover of Amon Amarth’s “Burning Creation”, a song that gave rise not only to the band’s name, but also to the band’s musical style and fascination with the North.“

Music for upcoming release was recorded, mixed and mastered by Marek Stefaniak. Cover artwork was done by Damian Bydliński. Debut album titled “Sea of Dead Bodies” will be released on November 29, 2024 on digital format and CD by Polish label Via Nocturna (pre-order).

STREAM “REVOLUTION (The Final Amen)” at https://orcd.co/eppaq4y

WATCH the video here:

Drowning Pool, a name etched in the score of modern rock history, roars back into the spotlight with thunderous energy and uncompromising power. The band’s unmistakable sound, synonymous with raw energy and unapologetic attitude, returns to captivate audiences once again.

Known for their iconic anthem “Bodies,” Drowning Pool needs no introduction. This breakout single propelled them to international recognition, leaving an indelible mark on the nu metal landscape. The song’s relentless energy and defiant spirit resonated with a generation, becoming an anthem for moshers, metalheads, and fans of electrifying live performances.

Ryan McCombs played a pivotal role in the band’s evolution, joining their ranks in the aftermath of the tragic loss of beloved frontman Dave Williams. His powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence breathed new life into Drowning Pool, solidifying their status as metal titans. Songs like “37 Stitches,” “Feel Like I Do,” and “Turn So Cold” catapulted them to new heights, earning them a place among the genre’s heavyweights.

Yet, Drowning Pool’s story is not just about music; it’s a testament to enduring friendships and a shared passion for their craft. Ryan’s return to the band in 2023 marks a reunion of kindred spirits, a return to the roots of their musical journey. As he succinctly puts it, “Just being back in the same room together after so many years… was a quick reminder as to why I considered them to be my best friends in the business back in the day.”

Their path has not been without its challenges. “Bodies” faced misinterpretations and controversy, with its lyrics taken out of context. Nevertheless, their music has persisted, embraced by the very culture that birthed it. “Bodies” remains an enduring anthem, not just for Drowning Pool but for metal culture as a whole. Its legacy lives on, inspiring new generations of fans. Guitarist C.J. Pierce captures the essence of their dedication: “I’d play ‘Bodies’ five times a night if people really wanted it that bad!” The song’s timeless appeal transcends generations, resonating with both the seasoned and the fresh-faced.

Drowning Pool’s return is a testament to the enduring power of their music, a reminder that their unapologetic spirit continues to strike chords with audiences worldwide. The band experienced a triumphant resurgence in 2023 and with new music on the horizon, a 2024/25 calendar proving that the demand for the band isn’t about to slow down.., Drowning Pool has a white knuckle grip on their present and future with no plans to slow down.

CARBELLION Share Petrol & Pints UK Tour Highlights in ‘Spaces’ Music Video

Hot off the heels of their Petrol & Pints Tour across the United Kingdom, American heavy rockers Carbellion are back with a new music video for their crowd favorite “Spaces”. The video contains highlights from their recent UK tour and stops along the way. This is the fourth music video taken from their EP album Weapons of Choice which was released last year via Eclipse Records. The album was produced by Carbellion and Chris Djuricic (Nonpoint, Soil) at Belle City Sound, and mastered by Andy VanDette (Beastie Boys, Porcupine Tree, Rush) at Evolve Mastering. The music video for “Spaces” was directed by Chad Hanstedt.

“We chose Spaces as the final video from the Weapons of Choice LP because we believed the lyrics for the song tied nicely into the experience we had with our first international tour on 2024’s Petrol & Pints UK Tour” says vocalist Cameron Kellenberger. “Our friend and videographer, Chad Hanstedt, was on tour with us to capture all of the moments on and off the stage which worked out really well. We drove a bit over 1.6k miles for the 8 shows in 10 days from the bottom of England’s South coast to the Scottish Lowlands and back. Two killer festivals anchored the weekends with Loverocks Festival near Bournemouth, EN the first Friday and Wildfire Festival in Wanlockhead, SC the second. In between we played historic venues such as Cart & Horses in London, EN (the birthplace of Iron Maiden), Bannermans in Edinburgh, SC, and the Carlisle in Hastings, EN. Live rock music strongholds like Bear’s Bar in Bournemouth, EN, Trillians in Newcastle, EN, and Grumpy Bastard’s Motorcycles in Stoke-on-Trent, EN (hotrods, motorcycles, and rock n’ roll nostalgia adorn this hidden gem) rounded out the tour. We met so many great people from the UK that welcomed us including the promoters, clubs/venues, other bands, and most of all the fans. The whole thing was a lightning in bottle captured experience that won’t be our last across the pond. We hope this video gives you a taste of what it was like for us there and that you can also appreciate the spaces in between!”

Weapons of Choice is the band’s third full-length album pulls from nearly twenty years of experience and lessons learned by fire to deliver the group’s most compelling release to date. The ten-song collection brings together the band’s strongest and most cohesive material, though its inception was rather unusual. Lyrically, the album finds Carbellion working to engage its audience. “I want to make people think,” Kellenberger states. “We’ve never been great at writing straightforward songs. Translating the thoughts and ideas in my head is a complicated process, but an exciting one. These songs are definitely fun and we write them with the intention of making people have a good time, especially with the live show, but this record more than any other also aims to make people think. Don’t take everything at face value. Nothing in this life is black and white. The truth is almost always somewhere in the middle.” “We started the record before COVID,” says Kellenberger. “The pandemic made us stop temporarily, but we found a way to work together digitally during that time. That allowed us to write the record, which we took to the studio as material was finished, so some songs were recorded two years before others, but it was a constant creation process”. Carbellion is taking stock of its place in the rock ecosystem. After nearly two decades and half a dozen releases, the Wisconsin bad boys feel they are just now hitting their stride.
