Celebrated Italian doom / black metal brigade PONTE DEL DIAVOLO unleash a powerful single from their forthcoming compilation “Tre – The EP Collection”. Stream “Scintilla” HERE.
The band commented: “‘Scintilla’ (transl. ‘Spark’) is a rough and violent track in which love is action, movement, Freedom. The ‘Spark’ is the Devil and the ceaseless movement of nature”.
Following on from the release of their acclaimed debut album “Fire Blades from the Tomb” (Season Of Mist), PONTE DEL DIAVOLO will re-issue their now hard to come by first three EPs in the form of “Tre – The EP Collection”. The compilation will be available in CD, LP, tape and digital formats on December 9th 2024 via Time To Kill Records.

PONTE DEL DIAVOLO bridges the gap between two separate worlds.
The Italian band proposes a doom / black metal sound with old-school roots, adding a modern and outside the box background. The female voice – with strong dark wave influences – is the lyric cor pus of this strongly esoteric project. The solid presence of two bassists creates the massive foundation for the rhythmic guitar, everything marked by a raw and dynamic drumming.
“Mystery of Mystery / Secret Live Session” marked the quintet’s debut EP. It was recorded live and without editing at Dracma Studio with the producer L’Ossario in their home base of Turin in March 2020. “I” was released on the web by Iopan Records. It was soon followed by their second single, “The Wickedest Woman In the World”.
At the end of 2021, PONTE DEL DIAVOLO recorded their second EP, “Sancta Menstruis” at Deepest Sea Studio in Turin with Danilo Battocchio. The first single, “The Unborn”, arrived in February 2022.
The band’s third EP, “Ave Scintilla!”, was also recorded in Turin. This time around, they reconvened at Dracma Studio with L’Ossario.
Prepare for a holiday season like never before with The Plague‘s “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.” Stay inside and lock your doors kids. The national Kringle alert system, courtesy of The Plague, a playful yet foreboding reminder that Santa is always watching.
It’s the perfect holiday anthem for those who love Christmas with a twist of darkness, offering something fresh for listeners who crave something more intense than standard holiday cheer. Beneath the jingle bells, there’s a sense of something more—something ominous—as The Plague weaves dark, atmospheric elements throughout the song, creating a unique sound that sets it apart from traditional Christmas music. This reimagined version of the classic Christmas anthem is far from your typical holiday track. More Nightmare Before Christmas, than Christmas, the brutal vocal performance is intense and brooding, driving home a sense of impending doom: You better watch out! He knows! Someone’s been naughty!
The Plague is the brainchild of producer/engineer David Adam Monroe, a pioneer of Future Punk. The Plague’s post-apocalyptic themes portray the struggles of being human, encouraging people to break free of the superficial and to know they are not alone. David has been playing music from an early age, highly encouraged by his parents, he received an electric guitar at age ten and took off emulating his favorite bands at the time; Greenday, Smashing Pumpkins, and other 90’s rock bands. His career took off at age 16 when a promoter got his high school band on the Van’s Warped Tour.
As a producer/engineer, David has produced records with many artists including Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols and multi-platinum engineer Earl Cohen. As a musician, he has toured internationally–including 4 years on Van’s Warped Tour— and has played with bands such as Tony Levin, My Chemical Romance, Story of the Year, NoFx, The Used, Yellow Card, Three Days Grace, and many more. ThePlague‘s debut album Hope For the F.U.T.U.R.E. was released independently in 2017.
In 2018 The Plague remixed Circle Of Dust’s “Embracing Entropy” (feat. Celldweller), through artist-owned record label FiXT. The Plague eventually signed to FiXT in 2022, and re-released the debut album with remastered tracks, new art as well as bonus tracks throughout the 2023, ahead of a new album slated for release in 2024.
“My goal with The Plague was to make futuristic Christian rock, when I was producing bands in Boston, my assistant showed me Celldweller and said, “This guy is dope and reminds me of you!” I chased Celldweller’s blend of synths and guitars, and that exploration process helped me discover my own sound. When I finished the record I emailed James (FiXT Manager) with the spirit of a little brother and said, “Hey James, look! I self-produced a futuristic rock record that I’m releasing on my label! You guys inspired this!” By some wonderful miracle he was excited too!” – The Plague
Hailing from the rugged West Coast of Scotland, The Breathing Method is a seasoned ensemble of musicians who fuse hard rock, grunge and a dash of punk rebellion to express the raw knocks of adulthood. With roots stretching back over 25 years this Scottish group hails from the historic county of Ayrshire, where a shared passion for gritty, authentic soundscapes has resulted in the band’s debut album, ‘After Everything Else’, which is set to be released this January.
Ahead of the album release and a support slot to Breed 77 in Glasgow, The Breathing Method have premiered the video for new track, ‘Jupiter.’
Recorded at Ellis Music Studios and produced by Jamie Haining, the appeal of ‘After Everything Else’ will resonate with listeners seeking a fix of unapologetic hard hitting, heavy riffed post-grunge/alternative rock with a solid dose of humanity.
The debut album by The Breathing Method centres on real life—the ups, downs, and all the confusing bits in between. From mundane routines to moments that knock you off your feet, the songs transform these experiences into their own brand of sonic chaos. Importantly, the album confronts the realities of being a band in today’s music industry, exploring the challenges of navigating a world where art is often free and social media plays a critical, yet often unwanted, role. Essentially, ‘After Everything Else’ is The Breathing Method’s own dose of ‘music therapy’ as the band return to their first love, music.
From the feedback call to action in ‘Hope For A Better Day’, the album is packed with attitude and melodic skank grunge, showcasing brash ingenuity by the Scottish band. Featuring infectious buzzsaw riffs, rhythms, a stack of melody and beats, the beauty of the songs on ‘After Everything Else’ lies in their simplicity and emotional, raw-like vocals. Check out album highlights like the brooding and intense ‘Demons’, and ‘Disappointed’, which will resonate with anyone who has worked in a job they hated but felt trapped. Closing off the album, ‘Jupiter’ emphasises The Breathing Method’s dark yet uplifting undertones. ‘After Everything Else’ is a collection of songs that shift, swagger and often be close to the hitting nervous truths; ultimately highlighting the human condition through the power of sonic.
“Our music is a mirror to our lives, infused with personal battles against anxiety and depression,” says singer Scott Booth. “It’s not cliched to say that the struggles of daily existence and the courage needed to navigate life’s darkest corridors are common to so many. The album is a chart of our lives, how we were all involved with music in our formative years but gave it up to pursue careers and families and now this is us coming back to our first love “After Everything Else”. It chronicles the struggles that we have all had in life with anxiety and depression, working jobs that you hate, working with unscrupulous people that will sell you out before they are hurt in any way and the general living of life. This album is a life’s work, literally! It is everything that we have faced, all the trials of being an adult that commits to society and everything that this entails. We hope the new music offers both solace and understanding to listeners,” concludes Booth.
The Breathing Method support Breed 77 on their UK tour at The Slay, Glasgow, 15th November.

Those thought to be dead live longer – and German folk metal masters SUBWAY TO SALLY prove this on their 15th studio album, Post Mortem, set to be released on December 20, 2024 via Napalm Records. The first single, the title track “Post Mortem”, unleashes captivating energy that has drawn in fans and critics alike for over three decades. The significant title reflects the spirit of the band: despite all obstacles and the notion of mortality, life is celebrated.
With lyrics that invite the Grim Reaper to join at the table and face life’s challenges with a wink, SUBWAY TO SALLY call on listeners to embrace the unknown and make the best out of the time we are given – so raise your glass to an unbreakable zest for life!
Not even two years have passed since the release of their previous record Himmelfahrt in 2023, and initially, the band had secretly planned for it to be their last album. With a symbolic title, the genre-defining force from Potsdam, Germany intended to close their over 30-year career with dignity. But things took a different turn. SUBWAY TO SALLY undeniably struck a chord with the times, and the response to Himmelfahrt was overwhelmingly positive from both fans and critics alike. After a tour with many sold-out shows, it became abundantly clear that their 14th album was not the final chapter. The album’s release unleashed an unstoppable sense of lightness and energy that sparked their creativity to such an extent that SUBWAY TO SALLY are now ready with their brand-new masterpiece, Post Mortem, following the fastest creative process in the band’s history.
SUBWAY TO SALLY on the new single: “Some songs write themselves. Our band has been around for thirty years; we’ve been through thick and thin together! Death has knocked on our door several times, at least metaphorically speaking. COVID, then our resurgence with the last album Himmelfahrt: we’re simply not to be silenced and nowhere near quiet yet – folk, rock, raw, defiant, and unmistakably SUBWAY TO SALLY; that’s the song ‘Post Mortem.’”
The new masterpiece begins with the explosive track “Phönix”, which celebrates the creative rebirth of the folk metal institution. On Post Mortem, SUBWAY TO SALLY neither look back nor into the future, but rather deliver a sharp analysis of the present. Songs like “Wunder”, “Nero”, “Lumpensammler”, and “Die Erde bebt” offer the band’s signature soundscape while exploring socially critical themes without moralizing. This serious side is contrasted by captivating tracks that celebrate life and the simple joy of music. The anthemic title track “Post Mortem”, the rousing “Unter dem Banner”, and the poetic ballad “Herz in der Rinde” unleash an uncanny joy of playing. All songs unite the band’s familiar trademarks of great melodies and profound lyrics but never feel redundant. The haunting “Atlas” melancholically draws on Greek mythology, while the folk metallers showcase a heavier yet melodic side on “Stahl auf Stahl”. For this piece, they enlisted their labelmates Warkings as guest performers, whose power metal adds a unique flavor to the track. With English lyrics in the chorus, SUBWAY TO SALLY return to their roots. With “Kummerkind”, the septet tackles mental struggles that many people cannot escape, once again proving their precise grasp of the zeitgeist.
SUBWAY TO SALLY comment: “In this world of contradictions and changes, finding a voice seems difficult. But upon closer inspection, one finds parallels in history and art. What do Putin and Nero, Oppenheimer and Prometheus have in common? What rises from the ashes of Rome? Does history truly repeat itself – once as tragedy, the other time as farce?”
SUBWAY TO SALLY skillfully explore this tension between past, future, and present, art and political reality with their music, making it clear with Post Mortem that they are more alive than ever before.
