GODSLAVE Celebrate 15th Anniversary with Documentary Film ‘Hinter der Kulisse – ein Blick in die Seele einer Metalband’

GODSLAVE have released a documentary film to mark the band’s 15th anniversary. The movie is called  “Hinter der Kulisse – ein Blick in die Seele einer Metalband” ( Behind the scenes – a look into the soul of a metal band) and can be watched below.

2024 is a special year for the guys from GODSLAVE in Saarbrücken – they are celebrating their 15th birthday, which almost didn’t happen … the 15 years have been hard-earned and that should be celebrated!

In their own documentary: HINTER DER KULISSE – The relentlessly honest look at the people behind the metal band GODSLAVE.

…when the common dream, for which you have bled so much, threatens to fail – what do you do then…?

A documentary that takes you behind the scenes of the metal band GODSLAVE: …unpleasant – gruelling – relentlessly honest! A documentary that shows what otherwise remains hidden: the people behind the musicians, who are happy, who suffer, who can no longer but still want to! A documentary deliberately without glitz & glamour – about brotherhood and humanity!

This documentary is a vehement statement in favour of an empathetic approach to mental health in the metal scene – the five musicians lay their souls and their vulnerability on the table for all to see. Only within the band they were often not so open with each other and that almost cost them their common dream…

GODSLAVE want to make a contribution to metal musicians being more open with each other and thus being able to maintain their shared passion – with a lot of joy in the music and the community. At the same time, GODSLAVE also show all fans the struggles that have to be fought behind the scenes to make a CD or a show possible in the first place.

The documentary and further information on what GODSLAVE will be releasing as part of their birthday celebrations can also be found at www.godslave.de/15years

In We Fall are a compelling Alternative Metal band known for creating a distinct and exotic sound bursting with flavors of Alternative Metal, Post Grunge, and Progressive Metal. The band just premiered a mysterious and somber music video entitled “Winter Shades” which is the first single & video taken from their upcoming full-length album Inner Self which will be released on December 13, 2024 via Eclipse Records. The album was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Daniel Moreira at EvoluiSom Studios. The music video for “Winter Shades” was directed by Coalblur.

“We thought Winter Shades would be a great track to shoot a video for, figuring it would really translate well into the visual domain given its sombre and ominous ambience”, says lead vocalist & guitarist Daniel Moreira. “The elements we thought were essential to a visual portrayal of this song were the presence of the band, and the specific color scheme we used in it which had to relate to the general vibe of the song or else it wouldn’t make sense. Shooting the video was a really cool experience. The whole process was as fun as well as efficient and the Coalblur team were really able to capture the band’s energy performing on camera.”

In We Fall’s debut album titled Inner Self, is a concept record and the songs are magnificent fireworks displays bursting with stories that speak to the shock of betrayal, the risk of blind trust, the horrors of war, and the tragedy of putting our fists against the world. Altogether, the band shows us how much we are one, learning together how to feel, how to fall, and how we can finally rise. Inner Self has something for everyone, like a magical prism exploding with colors. Some of the song-introductions are flavored with grunge, just as many of the verse-riffs have heavy metal backbone. Often, the vocals possess an alternate flair that other times weave satisfying harmonies that remind us of the best album-oriented rock of the ages. The drums are complex, tight, and surprising, delivered in clever mixed meter and also a straight four/four that makes us want to stand up, stamp down, clap our hands over our heads, and shout at the moon. And for the utmost in blissful diversity, the platform lead guitar solos provide to us an electrifying smorgasbord including profound melodies, soaring runs, heart-breaking bends, and blistering sweeps, giving beginners a mission and the most dexterous shred-wizards – beautiful nightmares. Inner Self will be released on December 13, 2024 by Eclipse Records.

UNTIL DEATH OVERTAKES ME Unveil New Track ‘Ascension’ from Upcoming Album

Enigmatic funeral doom entity UNTIL DEATH OVERTAKES ME prepares to unload their new LP, “Diagenesis”, upon the public via Aesthetic Death. Today, the brooding opening track, “Ascension”, has been unveiled at Mystification Zine. Stream it HERE.

“Diagenesis” is due out December 6th 2024 via Aesthetic Death.

The album track “End’s Lure” is still available at THIS LOCATION.

White light died, aeons away from home. Reality is fundamentally altered. Mutilated, it lurches on, as if blind to what has gone missing, to what will never return.

UNTIL DEATH OVERTAKES ME (UDOM for short), active since 1999, resides somewhere in the more murky reaches of the doom genre. Often called ambient funeral doom, UDOM’s sound is always undergoing subtle changes, and delivers introspective musical journeys to and through the darker and more tortured places of the human mind.

Since inception, UDOM has released 18 albums. The majority of these were self-released, targeting primarily digital-only platforms. “Diagenesis” is a culmination of inner torments which, having grown over the years, finally find a release through 4 lengthy tracks. Starting with a dream through which the dead communicate for the very last time, and from which the realisation is born that the act of remembering, preserving, lies wholly with the living. Realising the burden is subject to one’s own slow decay, guilt so powerful it seems only death can solve it, sets in. Yet that same death will not be avoided, and until then, we may dream. “Diagenesis” ends with a tribute to the dead of whom memories are fading, which ends up speaking more of the own despair, eventually faltering as it realises it will never reach those who can no longer hear.

“Diagenesis”. The final act of the dead. To become one with the surroundings whence they came, to become indistinguishable from the rest of reality, and effectively, to vanish as if they’d never existed. To leave the living despairing with the knowledge that no matter how deep they dig, in earth and mind, the dead shall never be found again.

Bereavement ravages the mind, and time promises to blunt its strength. A pale wasteland may recover one day, but the guilt that comes with fading memories takes root instead.
And here, time only strengthens it. As clear images become abstract dreams, guilt bears down with its growing, crippling mass.

The only ones to understand, who could ever forgive, have already gone ahead, and are those same ones fading out of view.

And when they’re truly gone, only death may forgive.

1. Ascension
2. End’s Lure
3. White Light

ĀRDEAT Sign with Wormholedeath for Release of Epic Album “Apotheosis”

Wormholedeath is thrilled to announce the signing of Brescia, Italy’s rising black metal force, ĀRDEAT. The band’s highly anticipated debut album, “Apotheosis,” is set to be unleashed upon the world on December 20th, 2024.

Founded in Brescia in 2021, Ārdeat emerged from the collaboration of Enrico Pinelli, Julian Polonioli, Riccardo Cremaschini, and Andrea Salvagni, who reunited after years of involvement in various musical ventures. The band’s first single—a compelling cover of Franco Battiato’s “Atlantide”—led to the addition of guitarist Cristian della Noce and the creation of their debut EP, Exitivm. This EP, featuring a monumental 20-minute track split into two acts, established Ārdeat as a formidable force in the black metal scene.

Ārdeat didn’t stop there. In 2022, they paid homage to the legendary Bathory by contributing a cover of “Home of Once Brave” to a tribute compilation championed by Antichrist Magazine. They then took their music to the stage, sharing bills with Italian metal royalty like Mortuary Drape, Opera IX, Darkend, and Black Oath.

Ārdeat’s sound is a potent blend of atmospheric black metal, the tight riffing of early death metal, and the melodic hooks of the NWOBHM. Drawing inspiration from bands like Dissection, Mgla, and Spite Extreme Wing, they forge a sound that is both fiercely aggressive and hauntingly beautiful.

Apotheosis: A Descent into the Mythic

“Apotheosis” is a concept album that delves into the fleeting nature of humanity against the backdrop of powerful supernatural forces. Drawing inspiration from the myths and tragedies of the Archaic and Classical Greek eras, the album explores themes of man’s struggle for power, knowledge, and ultimately, his place in the universe. Through tales of gods and war, Ārdeat paints a vivid picture of humanity’s desperate attempts to transcend its limitations, a quest that often leads to devastating consequences.

Tracklist:

  1. Sic Transit Gloria Mundi
  2. Hyperion
  3. Ignis Fatum
  4. Nell’Ora dell’Epilogo
  5. Hekate
  6. Apotheosis
  7. Et in Arcadia Ego
  8. Atlantide (Bonus Track)
