Hailing from Greece, modern Death metal act CAELESTIA signed a deal with Wormholedeath for the CD release of their EP “Infernalia”. More info coming soon.
The word “Infernalia” is the exact antonym of “Caelestia” and marks the band’s foundation to a more extreme and guitar-riff-based modern death metal style (with melodic & black metal passages). The EP consists of 4 tracks, which are indicative of the band’s new musical direction, aimed at reintroducing the band to the public. In terms of lyrics, the band explores a wide array of dark subjects, spanning from grim historical events to horror/dark literature, or insidious states of the human mind. Orchestral parts are still part of the music, but now they serve more as introductions or intervals, and not as the main foundation like in the ‘regigad’ releases. Prominent guitar riffs and variating bass lines intertwine with each other, setting the frame in which extreme drumming unfolds, outlining the clear and direct new song.
tracklist:
Siren
No Man’s Land
To the Elder Elemental eye
Chapter Of Protection / Martyrs MMXXII
Don’t miss the official music video for “Siren,” a taste of the sonic savagery that awaits on Infernalia:
A little more than 10 years after its initial formation, and spanning two full albums and a 2-track single, the Athens-based quartet decided to redirect its style from symphonic female-fronted dark metal to extreme metal, encompassing modern death metal standards with melodic black metal passages.
Having shared the stage with major metal acts like Katatonia, The Vision Bleak, ArchEnemy, Draconian, Insomnium, Tribulation, and Carach Angren at domestic shows, the band embarked on shows abroad, taking part in festivals in Belgium (MEVF) and Slovakia, but also in a European Tour (2019) with an all-Norwegian billing, consisting of Vulture Industries, Helheim, and Madder Mortem.
The band’s current lineup consists of: Vassilis Thomas (guitars), Marc Reign (drums, ex-Destruction, ex-Morgoth), Pantelis “Lordwinter” Daskalelos (vocals), and Stelios Tragos (bass).
After a decade in the shadows, PROSPECT HILL is back with a fierce new sound and lineup. Their explosive 3-song EP, Catalyst, dropped on October 18, 2024, featuring the debut of powerhouse vocalist Edgar Troncoso.
With original members still in place, Edgar Troncoso, who was previously the bass player, has shifted to vocals, and Andy Tats, formerly a guitar player, has taken over on bass. Catalyst ushers in a new era for the band. Reflecting on the band’s evolution, guitarist Derek Rousseau describes the EP as “a diverse blend of melody and hard riffs.” Drummer Mark Roberge adds, “We needed time to reset, to come back stronger, and to make music that’s fun again. This EP is just the beginning.”
Since the release, the positive feedback from fans has been overwhelming, and the band is excited to announce that Spotify has selected their single As The World Turns for the prestigious editorial playlist “Rock Hard.” This recognition is a testament to their renewed energy and the strength of the new lineup.
Catalyst is a renewed chapter for Prospect Hill, combining their signature style with new energy and Troncoso’s commanding voice. Following the release, they’ll keep the momentum with a series of singles leading to a full-length album in June 2025.
Catch Prospect Hill live at their EP release parties, including a special show at Wally’s in Hampton Beach, NH, on November 2, 2024, for their 15th Annual Halloween Party, and at Mixers Nightclub in Sabattus, ME, on December 7, 2024.
Get ready for Prospect Hill’s return to the stage in 2025 with a national tour that promises to deliver their new sound and electrifying energy.
Prospect Hill is back—louder, bolder, and ready to rock the world again!
On October 29, 2024, Cathy Rankin will release her debut single “Now You’ve Gone,” featuring renowned musicians David Ellefson (formerly of Megadeth) and Ken Mary (formerly of Alice Cooper). The emotional track, inspired by deeply personal experiences, reflects on themes of love, grief, and ultimately hope, and will be accompanied by an official music video.
Rankin wrote the song as a tribute to legendary drummer Neil Peart, and her nephew, Christian. “Both had a permanent impact on my life,” she shares. “Neil’s music and lyrics were a huge influence for me, and my nephew was a light in this world for the 18 years he was here. The song is my way of expressing the void I felt when they were gone, and connecting with others who have experienced similar feelings of loss.”
The project came naturally as Rankin, Ellefson, Mary, and guitarist John Bronson, were all connected through their music roots in Arizona, and their involvement with the Metal Hall of Fame. They discovered their shared passion for RUSH which led to the development of the song. Rankin explains, “Ken co-wrote and produced the track while John and I have played and performed together for years. David jumped on board, and everything just clicked. The entire process was a fun and smooth experience and we formed lasting friendships.”
Both Mary and Ellefson are proud of the project. “Working with Cathy is amazing,” said Mary. “She’s a total pro, and when I heard her idea for this song, I wanted to get involved right away. She’s an incredible talent, and I feel the song is the most moving tribute I’ve heard to date.” Ellefson added, “She did a fantastic job honoring Neil with this moving tribute. May this song continue to live to honor our prog hero from fans such as us.”
Music enthusiasts will not want to miss the official video. Rankin shares her excitement, stating, “RUSH fans, especially, will catch the subtle metaphors and nods to the Professor, but rock fans in general will appreciate the exceptional musicianship and production.”
Though “Now You’ve Gone” is Rankin’s first original single, she’s been active in the music scene for years, co-hosting the Metal Hall of Fame with Eddie Trunk, the Annual Bubba Bash with YYNOT (honoring Neil) and singing on countless stages with her successful cover bands. This release is the perfect introduction to Rankin as an original artist, and fans can expect more to come. To celebrate the release of “Now You’ve Gone” Rankin is signing a limited amount of “Exit Stage Left” inspired flats and making available the brand-new Cathy Rankin official t-shirt.
Italian death metal titans HOUR OF PENANCE have announced the long-awaited re-release of their masterpiece “Sedition”, available for the first time ever on vinyl, through Time To Kill Records.
Originally released by Prosthetic Records in 2012, “Sedition” showcases HOUR OF PENANCE at their most relentless, delivering some of the fastest and most crushing death metal ever recorded. The album contains nine tracks that highlight the band’s intense and signature blend of apocalyptic soundscapes. A powerful and epic opus, it also marks, in hindsight, a reflection of the grandiose and increasingly technical direction death metal was taking at the time.
The band commented: “’Sedition’ on vinyl, everybody! Our album ‘Sedition’ – originally released in 2012 by Prosthetic Records – will finally be available on vinyl in three different colors, thanks to our friends at Time To Kill Records (they also released our side project Coffin Birth a couple of years ago). ‘Sedition’ is a significant album for us; in many ways, it was our ‘comeback’ album on the scene. Thanks to the great feedback and support from our fans, we toured extensively across the globe, sharing the stage with bands we grew up listening to. For some reason, it’s the only album in our discography that wasn’t released on vinyl… until now. So head to Time To Kill Records and grab your copy! It’s a limited edition, so make sure you get yours before it’s gone”.
Time To Kill Records will release the vinyl edition of “Sedition” on January 6th 2025.
Tracklist:
Side A: 01. Transubstantiatio 02. Enlightened Submission 03. Decimate The Ancestry Of The Only God 04. Fall Of The Servants 05. Ascension
Side B: 06. The Cannibal Gods 07. Sedition Through Scorn 08. Deprave To Redeem 09. Blind Obedience

Perfect for fans of Falling In Reverse, The Misfits, and Mindless Self Indulgence, this release is sure to make waves in the underground scene.
Known for their unrelenting rebellion against music industry conventions, Hurricane On Saturn is a band that thrives on chaos. Since their formation in 2020, these five unpredictable maniacs have been flipping the script on the traditional music business. From an unknown location with no major backers or corporate support, they’ve built their legion of followers through sheer punk hardcore attitude and a refusal to compromise.
“Evil Never Dies” arrives as a Halloween gift to fans, just in time to rip open the gatekeeper’s boundaries and redefine what’s possible in metal, EDM, rap, punk, and post-hardcore. Their genre-bending sound is not on the industry’s agenda, but Hurricane On Saturn’s wild party is far from over.

Modern progressive leaders JINJER have announced their powerful, long-awaited fifth studio album, Duél, set to be released on February 7, 2025 via Napalm Records! Technical grooves and heavy progressive passages, brutally clear vocals and skillful growls by matchless vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk have garnered the Ukrainian outfit millions of cross-platform streams and views worldwide, as well as revered renown with fans and critics alike. JINJER have traversed glorious paths of tireless touring and extremely successful album releases, including their most recent chart-topping studio album, 2021’s Wallflowers. Duél showcases the band at the very top of their game and marks yet another matchless milestone in the world of modern metal!
After releasing their breathtaking single and video “Someone’s Daughter”, followed by the heavy-hitting single “Rogue” earlier this year, JINJER now unleash another untamed beast with their new track “Kafka”. Dominated by Tatiana’s remarkably clear vocals, “Kafka” is a heavy and slow tamper, digging deep under one’s skin just to break right through with venomous growls in the end.
Tatiana Shmayluk on “Kafka”: “Being an artist is sometimes beautiful but most of the time it’s brutal… as our art is dissected word for word and ripped apart note by note, we‘re expected to be on point all-the-time … and when we aren’t, we are scandalized. A true artist is vulnerable but the crowd is most often plagued with vultures who pick at every single move you make. It’s a slippery slope when music means the world to us but how quickly praise turns into prosecution… We are all Kings and Queens for a day but most of the time it feels like a Kafka novel for a lifetime. It‘s exciting but surreal and absurd at the same time …”
While JINJER’s previous album, Wallflowers, was slightly more alluring and contained noticeably more clean vocals, Duél now takes on a much more aggressive tone. This is proven by songs like “Rogue”, “Green Serpent” and “Dark Bile”, with their brutal and hefty breakdowns. Fans of super-talented vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk’s clear vocals also get their moments, as tracks such as the opener “Tantrum” show the potential of the frontwoman’s outstanding vocal prowess. Duél presents itself way more cruelly – and JINJER are more vicious than ever before. “Fast Draw” is a wild death metal beast with grooving drums from Vlad Ulasevich, Roman Ibramkhalilov’s one-of-a-kind riffs and Eugene Abdukhanov’s trademark bass wizardry – showing what this band does best: brilliant state-of the-art modern metal.
On Duél, JINJER continue their long-lasting collaboration with accomplished producer Max Morton, who co-produced, mixed and mastered the album. This new masterwork lives up to JINJER’s reputation as metal visionaries, once more showing that the band refuses to follow any set rules in their genre, but choose their own path of creativity.
Eugene Abdukhanov, JINJER bassist on the new album: “First of all, it‘s hard to believe that we’re about to release our fifth full length album! After all the releases we’ve made, finally having Duél in our hands and ready to be shared with the world, makes us very proud that our band still hasn’t run out of creativity and inspiration. The fact that we still challenge ourselves to release the best music we have ever made with each new release, is what keeps JINJER moving forward. This upcoming album was the longest songwriting process we’ve ever had and it took almost two years to complete. We worked very hard with every free minute we weren’t on tour, recording demos over and over again and always searching for the perfect sound for guitars, bass and drums. It was also the first time that Tatiana did vocal pre-productions, so it’s safe to say that none of our releases were so well thought out and calculated as this one. It pulverizes the boundaries of the modern progressive metal genre but still remains sophisticated, exciting and extreme all at the same time. We took up the challenge to expand our musical horizons even wider than before in order to cement Duél to be the next step in JINJER‘s musical growth and hopefully the evolution of metal music in general.”
DUÉL tracklisting: 1. Tantrum 2. Hedonist 3. Rogue 4. Tumbleweed 5. Green Serpent 6. Kafka 7. Dark Bile 8. Fast Draw 9. Someone’s Daughter 10. A Tongue So Sly 11. Duél
