BURN DOWN EDEN Announce New EP “Epiphany” + Release Video ‘Epistrophy’

Germany’s Burn Down Eden are quickly moving up the ranks in the thrash metal hierarchy upon the release of their much-anticipated, new EP, Epiphany, which is set for a 6th December release via Seek & Strike. This is the successor to their Dismal EP, which was released earlier this year.

It’s dynamic first single, ‘Epistrophy,’ highlights a more diverse side of the band and takes you on a different path completing the story started with the previous EP. It’s overall an epic journey of extreme metal bliss that covers a wide array of melodic and technical prowess.

Burn Down Eden state: “The first single, ‘Epistrophy,’ is about a side quest in the game Cyberpunk, where you have to re-establish the protagonist’s connection with seven different rogue vehicles. Nerd shit, haha. You can quickly tell that this EP starts a little bit brighter. Can’t be death and slaughter all the time! Its video to the song supplements the whole theme of just having fun and leaning into the good times.

“With the
Epiphany EP, we pick up right where we left off with the Dismal EP released earlier this year. The technical and musical level is higher than ever. Epiphany has the same overall dark vibe as Dismal, but with a slightly brighter touch to it, which is why these specific five songs were chosen to be on this second EP. Together, the two EPs result in the desired full-length album.

“Once
Epiphany drops in full on Dec 6th, you’ll finally be able to listen to it as a full-length album, which was the way we originally envisioned. It feels like one thrilling flow from start to finish or you can listen to both EPs back to back. It doesn’t matter! In the end, what you’re having is a cauldron full of technical Death Metal riffs, neoclassical shredding, exotic scales, clever harmonies, groovy headbangers, lethal high-speed blasts and atmospheric counterpoint Black Metal layers garnished with lyrics that show the ugly face of humanity. That’s what BURN DOWN EDEN is all about!”

Epiphany track list:

1. Epistrophy
2. Fake News For Breakfast
3. Tears Of Persephone
4. Burn Down Eden
5. Suckbox

VEONITY have released a lyric video for “The Fifth Element”, first single taken from the new album “The Final Element” to be released on October 18th by Scarlet Records. PRE-SAVE/PRE-ORDER

“The Fifth Element” contains all the parts that signifies not only Veonity but the new record itself: a powerful anthem-like chorus opens and closes the track and is accompanied by furious guitars, ferocious drums and soaring vocals. The story that begun on the “Elements Of Power” album (2022) comes to a conclusion when the hero sacrifices himself at the Altar of Power to save humankind, once and for all.

  • mixed and mastered by Ronny Milianowicz (Shadowquest) at Studio Seven;
  • cover & artwork by Alvaro Valverde/AV Art Ilustracion (Elvenking, Unanimated, Verikalpa);
  • for fans of Edguy, Gamma Ray, Hammerfall, Helloween, Twilight Force;

“The Final Element” will be released in the following formats: jewel case CD, vinyl LP (300 transparent green), digital

As power metal slowly turns softer and synth-based, “The Final Element” ensures that this trend gets forever broken!

Soaring vocals (courtesy of new frontman Isak Stenvall), twin guitars and mighty choirs – strongly founded on thunderous bass lines and rumbling double bass drums – dominate and define the sixth Veonity’s studio album: the playful, energetic and well-crafted songs of the Swedish band deliver a full throttle energy boost.

“The Elements Of Power chronicles”, a saga of a hero that needs to seal the veil between the Overworld and the Underworld to prevent darkness from gaining control, is finally unraveled, and it couldn’t have been more epic and glorious.

“The Final Element” tracklist:
1 Premonition
2 Chains Of Tyranny
3 Horsemen Of The Dark
4 Carry On
5 Riders Of The Revolution
6 Warriors Code
7 Powerstone
8 Heart Of A Warrior
9 Kings Of Dreamland
10 The Fifth Element

KOSMODOME Sign to Stickman Records & Release Album Details + Single from Upcoming “Ad Undas” Album

Kosmodome, a rising star in the firmament of Norway’s flourishing prog music scene, have signed a deal with Stickman Records, who will proudly release the band’s sophomore studio album “Ad Undas” on October 11, 2024! The album pre-sale will start on September 6th.

The brainchild of the two Sandvik brothers, Sturle on guitars and vocals, and Severin on drums, Kosmodome’s music is riff-based rock with stoner elements all of which are placed within a progressive universe to great effect. Together, the duo bridges the gap between the explosive drive of bands such as Mastodon with melodic magic and retrospective, clever songwriting.

Today, the band is premiering a first single, the album closing track “Fatigue”, which Severin Sandvik describes as “a hard hitting song that captures the relentless grind — where every push feels like progress, but the weight of expectations and how you handle them pulls you under. It depicts the toll of constant striving and the need for balance in a hectic life. It’s the anthem of burning out, yet refusing to give up. Heavy psychedelic rock as well as progressive and stoner are genres that describe it.“

Listen to “Fatigue”, out now on all digital streaming services at: https://bfan.link/fatigue

Hailing from Bergen, Kosmodome‘s astonishing debut album from 2021 heralded the arrival of a melodic progressive powerhouse of a different stripe. While endlessly groovy, the band sidesteps the stoner genre by virtue of their sheer creativity, crafting extremely catchy but still unpredictable tracks topped by excellent vocals. With an explosive drive in which the melodious contrasts the hard and heavy music, Kosmodome came to blow minds with their psychedelic sounding, 60s atmosphere-coloured rock!

In recent years, the band has reached out beyond the Norwegian west coast and is now ready with their second full length album “Ad Undas”. On this album, they are less confined by genre expectations, but still sound like Kosmodome. Growing up with all types of music genres in a musical home from world music to metal is something the songwriting reflects.

Musically the record shows what else lives inside the progressive universe Kosmodome are building, where one/the goal is to avoid being stuck in genre expectations. Seeking a more dynamic and melodious sound than earlier, the songwriters – brothers Sandvik, but appearing as a stellar four piece live band – still deliver an album with heavy riffs, aggressiveness and many surprises.

Lyrically it delves into personal struggles with self-doubt, the pressures of societal expectations, and the existential battles of modern life. The songs touch on different aspects of the human condition, from the fear of failure and the need for growth to the turmoil of modern living and relentless self-exertion in a chaotic world. Ad undas is a Greek term meaning “to the waves”, but in Norway it is used as an expression when everything goes “to hell” or fails (everything goes south).

Kosmodome have played concerts on different stages in Norway and abroad, and are ready for more live performances after a studio hiatus in 2023 working on their much-awaited, second album, “Ad Undas” , set to be released on Stickman Records on October 11, 2024!

“Ad Undas” Tracklist:

  1. Neophobia
  2. Hyperion
  3. Obsternasig
  4. Dystopia
  5. Turmoil
  6. Fatigue

Kosmodome is:
Sturle Sandvik – guitar/vocals
Severin Sandvik – drums/vocals
Ole Andreas Jensen – bass
Erlend Nord – guitar

ROSS HARDING Releases Deluxe Version of ‘A Thousand Snakes’ Single

South African-born, UK-based blues rock musician Ross Harding has just released a deluxe version of his critically acclaimed single, A Thousand Snakes via Mongrel Records. Known for his rich, versatile vocal abilities and expert guitar knowledge, Harding has once again pushed the boundaries of his artistry, delivering a rendition that is both a tribute to the old delta blues and a powerful expression of his unique hard rock and grunge influences.

Buy and stream the deluxe single at https://orcd.co/snakes-deluxe – and watch the video below.

This deluxe version of A Thousand Snakes showcases his evolution as a songwriter and performer. The track, inspired by the raw emotion and authenticity of delta blues, is enriched by Harding’s stylistic embellishments, giving the song a dark and melancholic feel. Harding’s use of slide guitar, resonators, and bare, unembellished instruments in this recording marks a significant departure from his usual hard rock blues style, offering fans a deeper, more intimate look into his artistic journey.

“The Deluxe Version of A Thousand Snakes was inspired by the old delta blues, with my own stylistic embellishments that draw from hard rock and grunge, which give the song a dark and melancholic feel. This recording came out the way I intended the song to sound originally,” said Harding. “I’ve been obsessed with the blues for many years, and this song was a more direct ode to the blues genre, possibly than I’ve done before. I didn’t hold back on anything in this rendition. In a way, recording my heavier, hard rock blues style has become a safe approach to my art, because I’ve become proficient in that. So using slide guitar, resonators, and instruments that are more ‘bare’ took more of me, artistically, and forced me to understand a different side of the music.”

With the release of the deluxe version of A Thousand Snakes, Ross Harding continues to solidify his place in the music industry as a formidable force in the blues rock genre. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms.

RÜCKWATER Release Second Single ‘No More Air’ from Upcoming Album

Finnish Tampere-based alternative stoner rock band Rückwater is set to release their second studio album Bored Machine on October 4th 2024.

The second single “No More Air” is released today and it’s available on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/ruckwater-no

  • Composed, lyrics and arranged by Rückwater
  • Single cover by Tanja Rämö

The band comments:
“The second single from the upcoming “Bored Machine” album “No More Air” is about leaders who want power and admiration at any cost. Completely blinded by power and oblivious to the suffering of others, these human monsters continue their atrocities from their ivory towers. In a good case, however, these great “leaders” do not have happy endings. No Sir! They are shot at dawn and their bodies are desecrated in the streets.

As a composition, the song is Rückwater’s heaviest and slowest section, with influences from the metal side as well. Jesse Jukuri, who was in charge of the recording and mixing, has conjured up a skull-crushing and doomy ass atmosphere for this song together with the band.”

Track list:
1 N.O.T.S.Y.
2 Birthday Boy
