November 1, 2024 will see Swedish metal vikings BROTHERS OF METAL release their forthcoming magnum opus ‘Fimbulvinter’ through AFM Records. Today, the heavy metal collective is presenting a colossal video clip for their epic album title track!

‘Fimbulvinter’ is ‘the great winter’ in Norse mythology,” as the band recently explained. “A winter that is colder and darker than all other winters and lasts for three years. It’s one of the first significant indications that Ragnarök is coming.”

Stream ‘Fimbulvinter’ now on all digital providers via: https://brothersofmetal.bfan.link/fimbulvinter-single

BROTHERS OF METAL are a spectacular phenomenon on the international metal scene, their catchy yet powerful songs and martial outfits, including archaic weaponry, paying homage to both heavy metal and the Norse gods. Their first two album releases ‘Prophecy Of Ragnarök’ (2017) and ‘Emblas Saga’ (2020) have earned the Swedish band an outstanding reputation, and now BROTHERS OF METAL are ready to take the next step: Their forthcoming studio album ‘Fimbulvinter’ showcases all of the eight-piece’s strengths, but also includes some significant new elements. “The core sound is still there, but we’ve also evolved as songwriters, so the songs have more depth and width than before,” Nilsson points out. “Our songs follow the same themes as before even though we’ve ventured into new territories and explored new stories, as it were. We always aim to have one song that fits everyone on each album, with the result that our hymns tend to sound like a lot of different genres of metal. That’s how we like it. We’re Brothers of Metal, we can play whatever we want to!”

Most of the songs for the record were penned by guitarist Dawid Grahn, Singer Ylva Eriksson and drummer Johan Johansson. The other band members were also involved in the songwriting process, namely Mats Nilsson and Joakim Lindbäck Eriksson (both vocals), guitarist Pähr Nilsson, bassist Emil Wärmedal, drummer Johan Johansson and some additions from new live guitarist Christian Larsson. ‘Fimbulvinter’ was recorded at the Massiv Musik’s Studio in Mockfjärd, Sweden and, like its predecessors, produced by Erik Berglund. Artist Sallai Péter contributed the cover design again, emphasising the tracks’ Nordic flair visually. Speaking of which, if you can’t wait to see BROTHERS OF METAL live on stage, you will have the chance to do so from November 1, 2024, when the band will embark on an extensive European headline tour through nine countries. Find all tour dates below!

CROSSBONE SKULLY Team Up with NIKKI SIXX on New Track ‘High On You’

CROSSBONE SKULLY have teamed up with Mötley Crüe bassist and founding member Nikki Sixx on their latest track, the seriously red hot “High On You,” a song about romantic obsession with an anthemic shout-it-to-the-heavens chorus. The song and its artwork—designed by Mark Wilkinson (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest)—nods to the plight of ‘Crossbone Skully,’ the central character in a parallel mythology developed by the band’s founder and frontman Tommy Henriksen. His story is unfolded in CROSSBONE SKULLY’s upcoming debut album EVIL WORLD MACHINE, set for release on November 22 via Better Noise Music. The narrative will also expand in a forthcoming graphic novel and animated film, Thing #1, due in 2025, which features voiceovers by SIXX.

“Crossbone Skully is doing something visually unique while blending kickass riffs and great songwriting with this project,” says SIXX. “I’m excited for them and can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”

Henriksen (who’s also the guitarist and musical director for Alice Cooper’s band and member of Hollywood Vampires) says of the track:
“‘High On You’ shows the taste of young, pure love…the type that gets you hooked on the bug! Love is an everlasting drug!”

Watch the music video for “High On You” streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE. Stream/download “High On You” HERE.

CROSSBONE SKULLY’s debut album EVIL WORLD MACHINE was executive produced by the legendary Mutt Lange, who emerged from retirement just for this project.

EVIL WORLD MACHINE is a rock concept album that echoes similar dystopian visions such as David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and Diamond Dogs.

Henriksen enlisted a sterling group of supporting musicians for the album including guitarist Tommy Denander, keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac (My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, Seal), bassist Chris Wyse (Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, The Cult, Ozzy Osbourne), drummer Glen Sobel (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires), the late UFO bassist Pete Way, mixer Olle Romo (Muse, Bryan Adams) and producer/mixer Mike Plotnikoff (AC/DC, Aerosmith).

Spoken-word appearances appear throughout the album from   A-list actor/musician and fellow Hollywood Vampires bandmate Johnny Depp as the voice of “The Sorcerer,” Alice Cooper as “The Bringer of Light,” Joe Perry as “Big Bad Bone Crusher”, Nikki Sixx as “The Crooked Crow,” and Kane Roberts as “Alpha Watchman.”

Pre-orders for EVIL WORLD MACHINE digitally as well as on CD, Vinyl and various merch bundle options are available now at https://crossboneskully.ffm.to/ewmalbum.

Swedish-formed, LA-based electronic rock/metal trailblazers SOLENCE’s main mission is to share their endless optimism and distinctive electro-savvy yet heavy hook-laden tunes with listeners with the motto: F**k The Bad Vibes. It’s also the title of their debut track released via Better Noise Music in May. “We want to bring the fun back into rock’n’roll,” says frontman Markus Videsäter.

SOLENCE—vocalist Videsäter, guitarist David Strääf, keyboardist Johan Swärd, and drummer David “Viking” Vikingsson—shared, September 27, their vigorous new track, “Who You Gonna Call?”  which presents the band as your go-to squad for whenever you need to let go and have a good time. Hop along for a thrill-seeking ride, which has serious metal guitar crunch, in SOLENCE’s party-delivering response vehicle in their  high energy music video, directed by Johan Lundsten, streaming below or via YouTube HERE. Stream/download “Who You Gonna Call?” digitally at https://solencemusic.ffm.to/wygc.

“‘Who You Gonna Call?’ is a very special song to us,” says Videsäter. “It combines so many elements that we wanted to bring out on the record—the sirens, breaking the fourth wall, screaming your own band name all over…and we had the most fun while writing it. Fun fact, it’s also one of our favorite songs to play live and we always end our set with it. So, who you gonna call?! SOLENCE!”

Call SOLENCE’s hotline 1-866-SOLENCE (1-866-765-3623) to hear a special message of encouragement directly from the band.

With over 300 million cumulative streams and nearly 1 million monthly Spotify listeners, SOLENCE have continued to push themselves to combine their upbeat lyrics with elements of pop, electronic, metal, and hard rock to create an original sound that pushes themselves and the genre forward. The band have built a dedicated global audience on past tours opening for bands including Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, Electric Callboy, and We Came As Romans, in addition to festival appearances across Europe (Rock For People Festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, Resurrection Fest, Tuska Festival, Nova Rock Festival) and the U.S. (Aftershock, Louder Than Life, Blue Ridge Rock Fest). SOLENCE recently completed a jaunt across Europe supporting Mongolian rock sensation THE HU which included several sold-out shows. “Their energy was contagious,” commended Chaoszine of their Helsinki show. Further commenting on their energy, Ghost Cult Magazine stated, “The energy and appreciation this band has for its audience is infectious and heartwarming but at the same time you also want to start a wall of death…but with a smile on your face.”

The Kreyl project was born during the winter of 2020, in the city of Barcelona (Catalunya/Spain), from an idea of Virus Tremor, guitarist of the band and also guitarist of the black metal band Nefasta and the brutal death metal band Handle with Hate. It was inspired by the album ‘I’ by the Finnish black metal band Hedonihil and many other bands of the second wave of black metal. Later on the Kreyl project was joined by: Croma Lan Ro as drummer, also drummer of the black metal band Fogos; Necrum Nebulas as bass player and already a member of the brutal death bands Caustic and Handle with Hate; I. Luna as guitarist, already member of the brutal death band
Caustic and Eris Nocturna Aura on vocals, already singer in the black metal band Nefasta and mastermind of the dark ambient solo project Aetheria (Italy).

Kreyl’s idea is to move away from the usual themes centred on Satan and Anti-Christianity and to focus more on historical-cultural themes closely related to the concept of death, occultism, ancient civilizations, exalting also the most raw, violent and brutal local mythology and paganism from a philosophical and dark point of view.

Strictly limited CD is now available on pre-order

GODSLAVE Release New Single And Video ‘Thrash ‘Til Death’ (DESTRUCTION Cover)

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 29, 2024
Posted in: News. Tagged: GODSLAVE. Leave a comment

GODSLAVE have released their new single and video “Thrash ‘Til Death”, watch below.

The ‘till death’, the end of the band, would almost have been 2020, and 2021, and 2022… the five from Saarland in Western Germany have had a tough time… and are therefore celebrating all the harder that they are still around and have been for a full 15 years – Happy Birthday!

No song fits better than ‘Thrash “till death” to kick off the birthday celebrations – GODSLAVE are setting themselves up for eternity and taking their hats off to their role models and friends from DESTRUCTION.

From 27 September to February 2025, the guys will be serving up a constant stream of little gifts to themselves and their listeners.

At the centre of the celebration is the documentary ‘Hinter der Kulisse’ (Behind the Scenes), which gives an unsparingly open and honest account of the reasons why the band almost didn’t make it. The celebration culminates with the release of the tribute album ‘Champions’, which is being prepared with a whopping 4 singles from November – here GODSLAVE open the backstage door wide to show us which songs inspired them to make music, who their ‘champions’ are – one of the reasons why they turned the corner again as a band – the pure passion for music!

For a perfect overview of everything that is to come, the band has created its own landing page: www.godslave.de/15years  where you can find everything about the birthday and exciting background information about the songs and the documentary!

Look forward to GODSLAVE constantly serving you new content for the next 5 months.
