Two of modern metal’s most influential bands are joining forces for a full-scale conquest of Europe.

Swedish melodeath pioneers IN FLAMES and Grammy-nominated metal titans TRIVIUM and have announced a massive run across Europe including the UK/Ireland in spring 2027, with support from PALEFACE SWISS and VOLA on every date. The trek marks one of the heaviest packages the continent will see next year, pairing a band that helped define 21st-century metal with the group widely credited as the architects of the melodic death metal sound, alongside two of the hottest up n’ coming acts.

The tour will see the two co-headline bands trade top billing depending on the territory. In the UK and Ireland, TRIVIUM will headline with IN FLAMES as special guests. Once the tour reaches Scandinavia, the roles flip, with IN FLAMES topping the bill and TRIVIUM as special guests. Everywhere else across mainland Europe, the two bands will share the stage as true co-headliners, with PALEFACE SWISS and VOLA opening throughout.

Artist pre-sale tickets go live Wednesday, 26th August 2026 at 10am CEST (9am BST), ahead of general on sale Friday, 28th August 2026 at 10am CEST (9am BST), via InFlames.com and Trivium.org.

IN FLAMES stated:

“We are excited to return to Europe with our old friends in Trivium! Paleface Swiss and Vola round out an amazing bill. You don’t want to miss this epic night of metal coming YOUR way! See you soon…”

TRIVIUM commented:

“We’re beyond stoked to be joining forces with our longtime friends In Flames once again for another legendary run across Europe and the UK. With Paleface Swiss and VOLA joining us, this is going to be one hell of a bill. A new era of Trivium is about to begin. We’ll see you out there.”

IN FLAMES are riding high after setting Gothenburg alight at their flagship Göteborg Brinner festival this past weekend, fresh off a powerhouse two-month long summer tour. The band are channeling an unmatched wave of momentum to deliver their signature blend of melodic death metal and explosive live energy to fans across our continent next year. The band are currently working on a new studio album, stay tuned for more information soon…

IN FLAMES are one of the biggest metal bands in the world – never shying away from pushing their artistic boundaries, crafting music that’s as catchy as it is crushing. Formed in 1990, the band is considered one of the forefathers of melodic death metal and the purveyors of the ‘Gothenburg sound’. With now fourteen studio albums under their belt, countless successful tours around the globe playing with the likes of Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Judas Priest and Slayer – with millions of records sold and a massive fanbase worldwide, IN FLAMES have proven to be an unstoppable force. From their 1994 debut Lunar Strain onwards, the band’s intricate twin guitar attack, melodic vocals and superb arrangements have given them a signature sound that has evolved throughout the years.

Fronted by vocalist/guitarist Matthew K. Heafy, alongside guitarist Corey Beaulieu, bassist Paolo Gregoletto and drummer Alex Rüdinger, TRIVIUM have spent more than two decades as one of metal’s most consistent forces. Breakout album Ascendancy was named Album of the Year by Kerrang!, went gold in the UK and sold half a million copies worldwide, later landing in Metal Hammer’s top 15 greatest metal albums of the century. Since then, two more gold/silver certifications, six straight Top 25 Billboard 200 debuts and a quarter-billion streams have followed. With 2025’s Struck Dead EP offering a taste of the new music already on the way and Rüdinger now behind the kit, this run marks the start of a new era for the band.

Zurich’s PALEFACE SWISS have exploded out of the extreme metal underground into one of Europe’s most talked-about live acts, blending deathcore, beatdown hardcore, and nu-metal into a sound as brutal as it is emotionally raw. Fronted by the magnetic Marc “Zelli” Zellweger, the band’s 2025 album Cursed and its 2026 follow-up EP The Wilted have cemented their reputation for punishing riffs and ferocious, electric shows, making them one of the hottest new acts on the global scene.

Hailing from Copenhagen, VOLA are a Danish-Swedish progressive metal outfit known for fusing tech-metal, djent, and electronica with soaring, atmospheric songwriting. Since breaking through with 2016’s Inmazes, the band has built a devoted global following and amassed tens of millions of streams, with their 2024 album Friend Of A Phantom – which featured a guest appearance from IN FLAMES‘ own Anders Fridén – further showcasing their genre-melding sound.

British rocker Chez Kane is pleased to unveil a new song, “One Day (Is All That It Takes)”, B-side of her latest single “Bad Girl”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

Chez stated: “Following “Bad Girl”, I’m releasing something completely new. “One Day (Is All That It Takes)” was written by Danny Rexon after “Reckless” was released, and although it wasn’t originally part of the album, it felt like the perfect song to bring into the “Reckless” world. It shows off a different side to “Reckless” – a little more emotional, a little more romantic, and all about how quickly everything can change.”

Chez Kane has firmly established herself as one of the most exciting voices in modern melodic rock, bringing the larger-than-life spirit of the genre’s golden era into the present day with soaring vocals, infectious hooks and unmistakable charisma.

Following the success of her first two albums, Chez returned in March with her third studio record, “Reckless” – an explosive collection of arena-ready anthems, slick guitar work and unapologetic ’80s-style swagger. Bigger in sound and richer in emotion, the album further cemented her reputation as a standout artist in the new generation of melodic rock.

Once again written and produced by Danny Rexon, frontman of Swedish hard rockers Crazy Lixx, “Reckless” built on the creative partnership that has helped define Chez’s solo career. Together, they have developed a sound that celebrates the glory days of melodic and hard rock while injecting them with fresh energy and modern production.

From glam-infused rockers to emotional slow-burners, Chez’s music is driven by huge choruses, memorable melodies and a powerhouse voice made for the biggest stages. Across three albums, her growing confidence and unmistakable personality have shown that she isn’t simply paying tribute to the sound of the ’80s – she’s helping carry it forward.

Now, following “Reckless”, Chez Kane opens the next chapter with a brand-new track, offering another dose of the energy, attitude and melodic firepower that have become her trademark, while giving fans their first taste of what comes next.

Bold, infectious and built to be played loud, Chez Kane continues to prove that melodic rock is very much alive – and she’s right at the heart of it.

French Progressive Death Metal Visionaries EPITAPHE Premiere New Single ‘Transient’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 25, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: EPITAPHE. Leave a comment

French progressive death metal visionaries EPITAPHE have unveiled “Transient”, the new single from their forthcoming third full-length “III”, with Everything Is Noise hosting the track’s premiere. The album is set for release on September 11th via Aesthetic Death (CD + LP) and Gurgling Gore (MC).

The most atmospheric piece on the record, “Transient” highlights another side of EPITAPHE‘s increasingly expansive sound, allowing the crushing weight of their death metal foundation to recede into more delicate and immersive territory. Rich textures, carefully layered guitars and a pronounced sense of space give the track an almost dreamlike quality, while its gradual development maintains the band’s trademark attention to structure and detail. Rather than simply providing a moment of respite, “Transient” deepens the emotional scope of “III”, revealing how much atmosphere can be extracted from the band’s already remarkably broad musical palette.

Stream “Transient” at THIS LOCATION.

Following the overwhelming acclaim received by “II”, EPITAPHE return with their most ambitious and fully realized work to date. Rather than departing from the artistic path that established the band’s identity, “III” refines, expands and elevates every defining element of its predecessors into a collection of compositions that is both more immersive and more emotionally compelling.

The album pushes the band’s death metal foundation to new extremes, embracing an even harsher, darker and more unforgiving sound without sacrificing the sophistication that has become synonymous with EPITAPHE. Counterbalancing its crushing weight are exquisitely crafted acoustic passages and richly atmospheric interludes that paint vivid sonic landscapes. Once again, at times the distinctive voice of the saxophone plays a central role, adding remarkable depth, warmth and color while further reinforcing the band’s unmistakable musical identity.

Rather than relying on a predictable contrast between moments of aggression and restraint, “III” unfolds with an organic, narrative flow, allowing each composition to evolve naturally and reveal new layers over repeated listens. Every transition serves a purpose, every melody contributes to the wider emotional arc, and every arrangement reflects a meticulous attention to detail. The result is an album of exceptional scope and cohesion, confirming EPITAPHE as one of the most artistically significant acts in today’s extreme metal landscape.

“III” was recorded by James Leonard at Mémoire Mécanique Studio and Pentachrome Wave Studio, before being mixed by James Leonard and mastered by Greg Chandler at Priory Recording Studios. The album artwork features “Spring Frost”, a striking painting by acclaimed Finnish artist Petri Ala-Maunus, perfectly complementing the record’s immersive atmosphere and profound sense of scale.

KRALLICE Unveil New Single ‘Kill The Guardian’ from Upcoming Album

Following the release of their first single “Living Useless Ritual”, New York’s avant-garde black metal visionaries KRALLICE have unveiled “Kill The Guardian”, the second track from their forthcoming full-length album “Scour Order”, set for release on September 18 via Profound Lore Records. Pre-orders are available HERE.

Speaking about the track, the band comments: “Kill the guardian is the other song on the record where all three of us have vocal verses. It was initiated by mick and collaboratively arranged. We call this song ‘porridger’. It’s soupy and nutritious.”

Stream the single HERE

With “Scour Order”, KRALLICE return to Profound Lore Records, the label that released the band’s first three albums, while revisiting aspects of their classic dual-guitar approach in a new chapter of their ever-evolving sound.

Formed in 2007 in Woodhaven, Queens, New York City, KRALLICE began as a collaboration between guitarists Colin Marston and Mick Barr, initially conceived as a black metal recording project. Following the release of their self-titled debut in 2008 with drummer Lev Weinstein, the project quickly evolved into a full band with the addition of Nicholas McMaster on bass and vocals.

Across twenty full-length albums and EPs, KRALLICE have continuously expanded the boundaries of black metal through dense, polyphonic compositions and an uncompromising spirit of experimentation. While their early releases established the band’s signature blend of technical precision and relentless intensity, subsequent works increasingly embraced atmospheric textures, unconventional songwriting, synthesizers, and shifting instrumental roles. Beginning with “Loum” in 2017, which introduced collaborations with Dave Edwardson (NEUROSIS), and continuing through the synth-heavy, lineup-shifting explorations of “Demonic Wealth” and its successors, KRALLICE steadily broadened their sonic identity without sacrificing the complexity at the core of their sound.

Tracklist:

01. Agonal Shining
02. Grievous Corrector
03. Kill the Guardian
04. Unceasing Path
05. Living Useless Ritual
06. Indecipherable Divinities
07. Her Green Arms
08. Scour Order

For the new album, “Scour Order”, KRALLICE returns to the old instrumentation with Colin and Mick on guitars and McMaster on bass, but Colin’s vocals have stuck around. The new album is raging and dark, dense but also expansive. It marks both a return to familiar foundations and a continuation of the band’s ongoing evolution.

Along with the new album KRALLICE is embarking on its first European tour. The band hasn’t focused on touring as much as writing and recording, but over the years there have been tours with Wolves in the Throne Room, Gorguts and Portal, Ludicra, Withered, Vampillia, Pale Chalice, and most-recently Blood Incantation. KRALLICE has also played the festivals Maryland Deathfest (3 times), Incubate, and Roadburn (who commissioned the new music and its live debut at the 2026 festival).

TEMIC Grieve with Grace on New Single & Music Video ‘Broken’

TEMIC certainly lived up to the hype with their chart-topping debut, but the international prog supergroup have grown by leaps and bounds on their mighty and magical second album. Fans and critics are trembling in anticipation for Ceiba, the group’s thunderous ode to loss.

“TEMIC are back in full bloom with Ceiba”, Metal Injection writes in this month’s edition of the Progressive Injection.

Prog Magazine agreed, naming the album’s lead single “Ceased to Be” a track of the week.

Today, TEMIC are releasing the second advanced single from Ceiba.  “Broken” bares the album’s soul with grief and grace.

“‘Broken’ is built around overwhelming emotion and honesty”, TEMIC vocalist Fredrik Klemp says. “We wrote the song in 30 minutes. It came together instinctively. There was no need to overthink it or make it into something more than what it already was. We simply allowed it to be what it is. I think that’s where the song gets its strength”.

“The honesty of this song became very important to my vocal performance”, Klemp continues. “It connects to experiences and emotions that are deeply personal to me. Rather than distance myself from them, I wanted to let those emotions come through in my voice. My performance sits deliberately close to the edge, fragile and unsteady, as if it could give way at any moment”.

The video for “Broken” was directed and edited by Cesar Mindiburu.

Long before they appeared like a dream come true to prog fans around the world in 2023, already, the members of TEMIC had made a real name for themselves. The international supergroup features current and former members of Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress, Neal Morse Band, Haken, Shining and Maraton. Having topped charts in the Netherlands and reaching #15 on the iTunes Worldwide Metal chart, their full-length debut certainly lived up to the hype. But they’ve grown by leaps and bounds on Ceiba, their mighty and magical second album.

“Ceiba is a concept album about loss in all its various forms”, TEMIC says. “While more progressive than our first album, the songs are driven by honesty and emotions. They deal with pain, anger, fear, blame and silence, which are all difficult in their own way but a part of the process to renewing our inner strength”.

The concept behind TEMIC started in 2017, when keyboardist Diego Tejeida and guitarist Eric Gillette were both touring members of Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress. After proving to be a quick fit on stage, the two decided to start their own band together. “We wanted to make music that prided itself on emotion, not just because it’s technically difficult to play”, Tejeida says. As for what the band would sound like, combining their love for heavy riffs, heavenly pop hooks and high-energy electronic music into a hard-hitting prog-metal hybrid wasn’t so simple. But after recruiting former soccer prodigy-turned-Zildjian-endorsed drummer Simen Sandnes to go along with Norwegian Idol contestant and powerhouse vocalist Fredrik  Klemp, TEMIC put all the pieces together on their very first try.

“[…] a fresh and powerful take on contemporary progressive metal”, Sonic Perspectives wrote in a 8.5/10 review of Terror Management Theory.

ProgRadio agreed. “[…] a band that has the potential to innovate and redefine the boundaries of progressive rock and metal”.

“TEMIC manages to craft a distinct narrative, with the echoes of their musical roots subtly woven into each track”, wrote The Prog Report, who named Terror Management Theory one of the best albums of 2023.

Now, after a co-headline tour of Europe with Rendezvous Point and a splashy appearance aboard Cruise to the Edge, TEMIC are back in full bloom with Ceiba.

Much like Terror Management Theory, the supergroup’s widely-anticipated follow-up centers on mortality. In Mayan culture, the titular tree is considered sacred for its connection to the earth, heaven and the underworld. “We love how the image of the Ceiba connects to the overarching theme of loss”, Tejeida explains. As depicted by the album’s lush cover art, it opens like a crack of lightning.  Heavy with loss and without any foreseeable hope on the horizon, “Ashes” rains down one thunderous riff after another, only for the dark clouds to lift like a veil amidst its rousing chorus.

“Though I’m broken, my will still remains”. While digging deep, Klemp never fails to hit the high notes. “Finding strength that resides within the pain”.

Like a root, loss possesses a deep hold over Ceiba. “I have experienced lots of personal losses, along with everyone else”, Tejeida says. “Though we don’t often talk about them with each other, loss is so universal that it will always be a natural part of our lives, like a tree”. Whether it’s the loss of a friendship, a romantic relationship, a loved one or your sense of self, so too does the album take many different forms. “Casting Stone” turns a hopeful relationship contentious with a fiery volley between djent, hard rock and electronics. Meanwhile, fragile ballad “Broken” mourns the end of a codependent relationship while accompanied by little more than ghostly synths.

“Prog can be too concerned with being clever, but ‘Broken’ is just an honest song”, Tejeida says. “The song pretty much has stayed the same since we wrote it: raw and to the point”.

No matter how deep Ceiba digs into philosophical terrain, TEMIC continue to branch out in all directions both literally and figuratively. The album treats loss not as an end but as one more step along life’s path. “Your soul will never die”, assures lead single “Ceased To Be”, which crosses between prog’s technical sorcery and pop’s divine melodies with relative ease thanks to shrewd guidance from the group’s newest member and bassist Miguel Pereira (Withem, Big City). Supported by swaying leads, towering cleans and firm groove, 10-minute closer “As Long As We Last” promises to stay with us long after its final epic solo.

“We wrote this album together with contributions from all five members”, the band says. “We allowed ourselves to explore the songs and really extend ourselves while always keeping the emotions at the front of our minds”.

With Ceiba, TEMIC return with a thunderous ode of prog.

TRIUMPH, one of Canada’s most revered and influential rock bands, returns with Leg 2 of the Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded Tour, continuing the band’s 50th year Anniversary in music. Following a resonant return to form, the first leg of the tour met with fan exuberance at every stop and resonated across social media, prompting the addition of 16 new shows across the United States due to popular demand. Special guest April Wine will again join Triumph for the newly announced dates.

The second leg will take Triumph through major markets across the Midwest, Northeast, Southwest, and West Coast in November and December. The tour features Rik Emmett and Gil Moore, alongside Phil X, Todd Kerns and Brent Fitz, bringing Triumph’s legendary catalog to arenas across the country. The newly announced run will culminate with December 10th and 12th performances at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and at Viejas Arena in San Diego, respectively.

Tickets for the newly announced dates will be available beginning with an Artist Presale on Tuesday, August 25, at 10AM local time, followed by the Citi Presale at 12PM local time, with additional presales throughout the week. The general onsale begins Thursday, August 27 at 10AM local time via LiveNation.com.

Triumph has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold will support the SoundsUnite Charity– providing free music learning resources, music wellness, and collaboration tools to marginalized and at-risk youth.

Formed in Mississauga in 1975, Triumph – Rik Emmett (guitar, vocals), Mike Levine (bass, keyboards), and Gil Moore (drums, vocals), rose from playing high school auditoriums and rock n’ roll bars to selling out iconic arenas, from Toronto’s famed Maple Leaf Gardens to Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas . Their virtuosic musicianship, soaring vocals, and dazzling, high-production live shows were at the forefront of the definitive spectacle of arena rock.

Blending hard rock metal power with progressive intricacies , Triumph sold over 15 million albums worldwide and earned 27 gold and platinum certifications, building a global following through headline tours and landmark festival performances, including the 1983 US Festival before 500,000 fans. With hits like “Lay It on the Line,” “Allied Forces,” “Magic Power,” “Fight the Good Fight,” “and “Follow Your Heart”- combined with pioneering stage productions that set the bar for rock spectacles featuring pyrotechnics, laser lighting, and theatrical flair – Triumph became arena rock legends, securing a permanent place in Canadian and international rock history.

The band’s return to the road follows a defining year honouring Triumph’s impact across generations. In June 2025, the band was celebrated with Magic Power: All-Star Tribute to Triumph (Round Hill Records, June 6, 2025), a 15-track tribute album featuring rock luminaries such as Phil X, Sebastian Bach, Slash, Nancy Wilson, Joey Belladonna, Dee Snider, Lawrence Gowan, Deen Castronovo, Alex Lifeson, Jeff Keith, Mickey Thomas, and produced by the world-renowned Mike Clink (Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, Whitesnake).

Further solidifying their celebrated status, Triumph was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in October 2025, a prestigious honour recognizing their enduring influence, masterful songwriting, and contributions to Canada’s cultural legacy. This induction adds to their long list of accolades, which includes membership in the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame (2007), the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (2008), Canada’s Walk of Fame (2019) and Metal Hall of Fame (2021).

About Triumph:

Triumph is the legendary Canadian hard-rock power trio formed in Mississauga in 1975, featuring Rik Emmett, Mike Levine, and Gil Moore. Known for musical mastery, innovation, and an unwavering connection to their fans, Triumph’s anthems – marked by hope, empowerment, and resilience – helped shape a generation and continue to resonate worldwide.

From local Ontario venues to sold-out arenas around the globe, Triumph achieved international acclaim through headline tours and iconic festival performances, including the 1983 US Festival before 500,000 fans, the Texas World Music Festival, The World Series of Rock, and Day on the Green. Their hits – “Lay It on the Line,” “Magic Power, “Follow Your Heart,” and “Fight the Good Fight” – combined with pioneering stage productions featuring pyrotechnics, laser lighting, and theatrical flair, were defining features of arena rock.

Selling over 15 million albums worldwide with 27 gold and platinum certifications, Triumph has been inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame (2007), the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (2008), Canada’s Walk of Fame (2019), the Metal Hall of Fame (2024), CMW Legends of Live (2024) and the Canadian Songwriter’s Hall of Fame (2025).

With the Triumph 50th Anniversary Tour and the 2025 Magic Power: All-Star Tribute to Triumph, the band celebrates a legacy that grows stronger with every decade – proof that Triumph’s journey from Ontario stages to global acclaim and a well earned place in the rock pantheon.
