ASCHEN Return with New Music Video for ‘The Forsaken Redeemer’

Wormholedeath is pleased to announce the release of the official music video for “The Forsaken Redeemer,” the latest visual offering from Basque black metal project Aschen. The track is taken from the band’s debut album, The Never Ending Search, available now via Wormholedeath.

Inspired by the Passion of Christ, the song portrays the agony of a savior rejected and ultimately executed, using his story as a metaphor for a society that has stripped all meaning from truth itself, where any narrative can be questioned, manipulated, or erased when it conflicts with selfish interests and structures of power.

Musically, the song features a slow, heavy, and repetitive riff, hypnotic guitars with subtle oriental nuances that draw the listener into a near-trance state, acoustic guitars, spoken words, and a finale that is as aggressive as it is agonizing and ecstatic—making it arguably the most ambitious and complete track on the record.

The accompanying video combines public domain footage from vintage films with newly shot material, constructing a visual narrative around the song’s themes.

The Never Ending Search

Aschen’s The Never Ending Search explores dynamic contrasts, blending black metal with doom-laden passages, blast beats, crushing riffs, melodic textures, and emotional depth. Sung in both English and Basque, the album moves beyond traditional genre themes to explore inner conflict, societal decay, and humanity’s fractured relationship with the natural world.

Its artwork, created by Mikel Telletxea, reflects this concept through an endless fingerprint-shaped labyrinth—a symbol of a search with no clear exit, both inward and outward.

BEAUTIFUL SKELETONS Release New Album “Pulse/ Line/ Scar” with Official Music Video for ‘Myrkur’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 24, 2026

Rising alternative metal band Beautiful Skeletons have released their album, Pulse/Line/Scar on August 21st via WURMgroup. Produced by legendary heavy music producer Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Static-X, Breaking Benjamin, White Zombie), the album captures a band unafraid to tear everything apart in pursuit of something honest, powerful, and enduring. Coinciding with the album’s release, Beautiful Skeletons have also premiered the official music video for “Myrkur,” giving fans a powerful visual to one of the album’s standout tracks.

More than a collection of songs, Pulse/Line/Scar serves as a deeply personal yet universally relatable body of work, exploring resilience, identity, loss, and the invisible threads that connect every human experience.

The band shares, “Pulse Line Scar is a universal anthology of lived stories, brought together by the thin red pulse line that connects us all, the same line that brings us life and the same line that leaves a permanent impression.”

Pulse/Line/Scar showcases a band that has found strength in vulnerability and purpose through perseverance. Every track reflects the tension between chaos and clarity, pain and healing, creating an album that is as emotionally immersive as it is sonically crushing.

With Pulse/Line/Scar, Beautiful Skeletons are poised to establish themselves as one of alternative metal’s most compelling emerging acts, delivering an album that doesn’t simply ask to be heard, it demands to be felt.

Tracklisting:

  1. Come What May
  2. Running Cold
  3. Myrkur
  4. Phantom
  5. Crown of Sorrow
  6. Effigy
  7. The Test
  8. Bitter End
  9. Dropping Anchor
  10. Rainbows & Unicorns

Beautiful Skeletons didn’t come together cleanly and that’s exactly the point.

The band was formed in 2017 after guitarist Einar posted a Craigslist ad searching for a vocalist. What began as an instinctive collaboration gradually evolved through lineup changes, setbacks, and creative discovery. Over time, the project transformed from an idea into something none of the members were willing to walk away from—a defining commitment that became, in their words, a “do or die decision you can only make once.”

That commitment intensified in 2022 when the band received management support and hit the road alongside Yngwie Malmsteen. The experience offered an unfiltered look at the realities of the music industry and solidified their determination to push Beautiful Skeletons beyond potential and into purpose.

Trying to categorize Beautiful Skeletons has never been easy—and they prefer it that way.

Drawing inspiration from Deftones, Alice In Chains, Sevendust, Korn, and Nine Inch Nails, the group seamlessly blends crushing riffs, haunting atmosphere, soaring melodies, and modern heaviness into a sound that refuses to stay confined to one genre.

That fearless approach reached its fullest expression during the recording of Pulse/Line/Scar. Recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Ulrich Wild at WURMgroup, every song was challenged, dismantled, and rebuilt until it carried the emotional and sonic weight the band envisioned. The process forced Beautiful Skeletons to confront not only their songwriting but also their identity as musicians, resulting in their most focused and powerful work to date.

Beautiful Skeletons:
Tina Firefly – Vocals
Jason Johnson – Bass
Huwy Williams- Drums
Einar Einarsson- Guitars

EASTBLOOD (Feat. Members of JASTA, DEE SNIDER, GENERATION KILL) Release Debut Album “Burn What’s Left”, Out Now

EASTBLOOD has officially arrived with the release of their debut album, Burn What’s Left, available now on all major streaming platforms.

Featuring members of JASTA, Dee Snider, Generation Kill, and more, Eastblood is a four-piece metal force built on speed, volume, and zero compromise. Fusing the ferocity of thrash metal with the raw aggression of punk and hardcore, the band delivers ripping riffs, brutal breakdowns, punishing drums, and nonstop shredding across Burn What’s Left.

“’Burn What’s Left’ is a record about anger, exhaustion, betrayal, and the emotional wreckage left behind by narcissism, manipulation, internet culture, and manufactured victimhood,” says Eastblood. “Beneath the aggression is something deeply human: self-doubt, grief, isolation, and the realization that sometimes the only way to move forward is to stop carrying what other people have done to you. We used that message with lyrics and the fastest, grittiest music we could—and this is just the beginning.”

Rather than simply channeling aggression for aggression’s sake, Burn What’s Left turns frustration, resentment, and emotional fallout into a full-force sonic attack. The album confronts the darker side of modern culture while exploring the personal damage left in its wake and the catharsis that comes from finally letting it go.

Recorded with a relentless intensity from start to finish, Burn What’s Left was mixed and mastered by Nick Bellmore, whose production expertise helps give the album its crushing weight and uncompromising edge.

“Eastblood is pure alchemy — speed and intensity colliding with melody and catharsis, without a single compromise. We can’t wait to unleash what we’ve built on the world,” says Charlie Bellmore.

No gimmicks. No polish. No compromise. Just pure sonic violence.

Indianapolis melodic death-doom outfit MOTHER OF GRAVES has announced the release of their upcoming full-length, entitled “The Light that Keeps Us”, which has been slated for release on October 16th via Profound Lore Records. The first single, “Through the Pale Shade”, has been unveiled today.

Stream the single HERE

Vocalist Brandon Howe comments on “Through the Pale Shade”: “‘Through the Pale Shade’ is a lyrical tale of resilience in a faltering world and letting the hands of beauty be your uplifting guide through the darkest and most desperate pits of the self and soul. Instrumentally, the song bleeds a similar hope and despair within each note. We chose this song as the first single because we feel it thoroughly encapsulates the true and honest nature of our sound. I think from start to finish, it speaks well in terms of our identity that we’ve steadily grown into as a band; coalescing with our personal touches the heavy approach to things and melodies that feel dreamlike without sacrificing the wholeness of the song itself. Thanks for listening, and we hope that it serves you well. The countdown begins as autumn approaches.“

Tracklist:

  1. Wingless Soul (feat. Dan Swanö)
  2. Through the Pale Shade
  3. The Light That Keeps Us
  4. Eventide Angel
  5. The Silent Weight of the Stars
  6. A Moonlit Tryst
  7. The Beggar’s Allegory
  8. The Endless Climb

Following two years of meticulous crafting and the lasting impact left behind by their sophomore offering “The Periapt of Absence” – which claimed the #11 spot on Decibel Magazine’s Top 40 AOTY and tore through countless year-end lists – the death-doom titans return with their most fully realized offering yet. Here, it is evident that MOTHER OF GRAVES have no intention of slowing their evolution into fully realized territory as a quintet. The album is driven by the sharpened songwriting of guitarists Chris Morrison and Ben Sandman, the unrelenting foundation of bassist Corey Clark and drummer Don Curtis, and the expressive, poetic cadence of vocalist/keyboardist Brandon Howe.

Seamlessly forging the aggression and power of death metal with the melancholic and romantic edge of melodic doom, “The Light that Keeps Us” is crushing, hauntingly human, and a true showcase of the band’s authenticity in their expression and care for the genre. Each track serving as a hand to guide the listener through the introspective journey of mortality, sorrow, love and resilience. The band’s dynamic continues to grow under the production of guitarist Ben Sandman, whose work behind the console keeps personal touch prevalent within their music, stripping away the excess and amplifying the things that matter.

At the helm of visual depictions, fine artist Larisa Brechun perfectly captures the weight and depth of the music in her cover painting, providing evocative imagery to accompany the band’s bleak yet uplifting nature. It has become a standard throughout their years to recruit legend Dan Swano for his mastering expertise, but this time a greater gift presented itself as Dan proudly delivered guest vocals on the track “Wingless Soul”. A full circle moment in the band’s existence, as it gives the album that much more of a special and significant engraving within the world of death doom.

With “The Light that Keeps Us”, MOTHER OF GRAVES brings to you 8 tracks of despairing beauty laced in emotion and fierce purpose, marking yet another milestone in their promising career.

The album drops October 16th on Profound Lore Records and is available for pre-order HERE

Brandon Howe – Vocals/Keyboard
Chris Morrison – Guitar
