RAINSWEPT Share New Single ‘Diss Days’ from Upcoming Debut Album

Rome hardcore unit RAINSWEPT have revealed the second single from their first full-length album, “No Threats Allowed”, out on July 1st 2024 via Time To Kill Records. “Diss Days” is now available at THIS LOCATION.

The band commented: “Even if the album’s concept can be seen as a positive message of hope and progress, there’s still room for some criticism. ‘Diss Days’ criticizes the mental closure towards the potential of future generations. Remaining attached to our beliefs, even if those who come after us show us that there is a more constructive way of dealing with things, is a sign of backwardness”.

The album covers a lot of territory throughout its succinct rampage. Not only does RAINSWEPT deliver the expected classic hardcore sound, the influence from more contemporary styles, along with some metal vibes, pushes its way to the forefront, culminating in the band’s most vicious material yet.

“No Threats Allowed” blends various musical tastes from classic NYHC to edgier notes of 90s metal, featuring fast riffs, two-step parts, and breakdowns. Conceptually, it serves as a declaration of intent, a manifesto. Years of sick and toxic social dynamics, both in personal life and even within the music scene, have led the band to feel the need to create a safe space, where the foundation lies in self-reflection and interaction with others. Only by respecting each individual’s mental well-being can there be collective improvement.

RAINSWEPT is a hardcore band, established in Rome, from an idea of the drummer Luigi (Coloss/Strength Approach/First Blood/Blvd of Death) who started writing songs in early 2022. Sided by bass player Ale (ex Strength Approach) they began to write arrangements. The duo then recruited Andrea (Second by Default/Murder Spree) on vocals. Eventually, after some changes on guitar, Daniele (Maiali) and Valentino completed the line-up, giving their contribution to the songwriting. 
About six months later the band recorded “Demo 2022” at Till Deaf Recording Studio and then proceeded to film a videoclip for their first single “Tide Mind”, all under the wing of Time To Kill Records. In the following months, they began to play gigs and fests sharing the stage with bands like Slug Gore, Fulci, Drain, Last Wishes, 3ND7R and Internal Bleeding.
After a tour in Germany and Belgium, RAINSWEPT started focusing on the production of their first full-length album.

“This Is The Way (feat. DMX)”, the latest single from multi-platinum, chart-topping hard rock powerhouse FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has  hit the #1 spot at Billboard’s Mainstream Rock radio chart, notably landing the Las Vegas-based band their 11th straight #1 hit on the chart. LIVLØS to Release Third Full-Length Album “The Crescent King”; Unveil Video for Debut Single ‘Usurpers’

Aarhus, Denmark-based melodic death metal act LIVLØS has announced its epic third full-length album, entitled “The Crescent King“, which has been slated for release on October 4.

With the track “Usurpers”, the quintet has unleashed the first single today. The song is released alongside an animated video directed by Simon Gorm Eskildsen, which you can watch here:

Since the band’s inception in 2014, LIVLØS has proven themselves to be an ingenious force on the international death metal scene. Since the release of their deeply personal debut album “Into Beyond” (2018), which depicted a band in a time of heavy personal struggle, they have continued to grow – which is evident in both songwriting and technical prowess. Their second album “And Then There Were None” (2021), released by Napalm Records, immediately sounded darker and more ambitious, which resonated with fans and critics alike.

Following the second album’s release, LIVLØS toured extensively, including a big sold-out Copenhagen headliner, a European tour with Konvent and Implore, and a national headliner tour alongside appearances at Inferno Festival, Tallinn Music Week and not least the band’s triumphant live peak in front of 14,000 people at Copenhell in 2023. LIVLØS kept themselves creative along the way and never missed a chance to write, despite a busy touring schedule. Already in 2022, a new album worth of material was written, and the band entered the studio once again with producer Jacob Bredahl to record the new offering.

The triumphant ascendance of LIVLØS continues in the conceptual cosmo-narrative of “The Crescent King“, with the band delivering their punishing style of heavy grooves, melancholic melodies, and progressive musicianship, while unfolding a cosmological fantasy-inspired narrative. The album bears witness to a band forever striving towards constant evolution and delivering the best possible songwriting, musicianship, and production value, complementing the ambitious concept as far as the prog elements now standing strong alongside traits of experimental dissonance to balance the band’s ear for majestic melodies.

As LIVLØS is always balancing their musical ambition and various influences into one singular heavy vision, the band also skillfully communicates its view on their main thematic subject matter – humankind. As on the prior releases, on our very race, homo sapiens, is also the focus of the band’s scrutiny on “The Crescent King“. Where’ the prior album delivered a perspective on life and death on several levels, written from a very personal place of loss, sorrow and mental conditions, this time, the band wished to conceive a fictional, conceptual piece throwing its gaze on the more general dispositions of the human condition, its psyche and place in the cosmic cyclus of the universe.

Thus, “The Crescent King” is a symbol of humankind in all its aspects, good and evil and in between. It is the tale of the king undertaking a journey through space and time, in which he discovers the secrets of himself and humankind. But it is also a story on how a good soul and its benevolent intentions can corrupt in the face of power, delusion and despair. Stylistically the existential space odyssey takes place in a fantasy-like, middle age setting with a hint of Lovecraftian horror lurking in the shadows, complementing LIVLØS’ complex but unmistakable captivating musical vision.

LIVLØS’ third album “The Crescent King” is produced by Jacob Bredahl (Lifesick, Eyes), mastered by Brad Boatright (Obituary, Suicide Silence, Gatecreeper, Nails) and carries artwork by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Bloodbath, Kreator, Hate Eternal). 

The album will be released on LP/CD/Digital on October 4th 2024 via the band’s own Noctum Productions.

PATRIARCHS IN BLACK Release New Single + Video ‘Welcome To Hell Again’

PATRIARCHS IN BLACK release “Welcome To Hell Again”, the second pre-single from the upcoming studio album “Visioning” (Metalville Records – release date July 19th).

Dan Lorenzo says: “As soon as I wrote the music to “Welcome To Hell Again” I knew I wanted to have Kelly Abe and DMC collaborate on the lyrics and vocals. I had just written a song with DMC for his next solo album he’s calling TeRIFFic.”

DMC about his lyrics for “Welcome To Hell Again”:  “I’m basically saying it’s a choice to live in hell! We sometimes create our own hell. Regardless of what’s going on, we can speak life or death and positivity or negativity. The spirit I spit is how I live my life. How can carry myself. I’m basically telling the devil and evil to bring their best! I can handle whatever they bring at me! I love working with Patriarchs In Black because they’re great musicians and I love the content of their songs. A lot of emotional stuff I can relate to.”

Former Type O Negative/ Danzig drummer Johnny Kelly and guitarist riff writer Dan Lorenzo (Hades / Non-Fiction) formed Patriarchs In Black at the end of 2021. The project included well known guests on vocals and bass including Karl Agell ( COC Blind/Lie Heavy) , Jimmy Gnecco, Dewey Bragg ( Kill Devil Hill/Bill Ward) among others. Their debut single “Demon of Regret” came out January 2022 and the full album “Reach For The Scars” was released July 1st 2022. Their 2nd album “My Veneration” was October 6th 2023 with multiple guest vocalists and bassists.

For the forthcoming 3rd studio album “Visioning” Dan Lorenzo has already written twelve new songs. Beside drummer Johnny Kelly it features again a bunch of great singers and bass players, like Dave Neabore (Dog Eat Dog), Karl Agell (Corrosion Of Confirmity), Eric Morgan (A Pale Horse Named Death), Mark Sunshine (Riotgod), Jason McMaster (Watchtower), Kyle Thomas (Exhorder) and many more.

The songs on “Visioning” combine elements of classic doom metal with modern sounds as well as excursions into hardcore/crossover.

The album was mixed and mastered at JROD Productions by Jon Cioicari.

“It’s SO fun and not putting too much pressure on singers to come up with one or two amazing lyrics and melodies a year. I write a LOT of riffs/music. Our third album came together very easily. FUN FUN FUN” says Dan.

It’s been a hell of a year, with our most rigorous touring schedule yet putting us in places we’ve dreamed of since we started the band. This era of Bleed From Within is something we have worked so hard toward, and in this moment we are extremely grateful to all those who have made it possible. To all of our fans who fill the rooms and sing the words, to the team behind the scenes who keep the cogs moving on tour, in the studio and everywhere between, and to the creative minds that help us bring our music to life – thank you. 17 months since its original release, we are so proud to now present this limited and deluxe edition of ‘Shrine’, featuring all of the songs that were recorded during the sessions. Bleed From Within have been to hell and back, but they are no strangers to enduring hardship. When a global pandemic threatened to shut down their plans, the Glaswegians collectively raised five middle fingers and pressed on. It’s no surprise that this unstoppable riff machine continues to crush forward at such a frantic pace – there’s no putting the breaks on the heaviest band to ever emerge from Scotland.

The band’s reputation as one of the most formidable forces in modern metal has earned them tour slots with Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Testament and Heaven Shall Burn, to name just a few. The last few years has seen them dominate the UK live scene and take Europe and America by storm.

Shrine has taken the most graft to put together of any record in their catalogue, challenging their self-perception on both personal and technical levels – the culmination of two years hard work that embodies their artistic might. Armed with the learnings of evolving their sound over the last decade without ever losing sight of their DIY roots, this is Bleed From Within at their very best.
