SMILE EMPTY SOUL Release New Single + Music Video ‘Savior’

Alt-rock veterans Smile Empty Soul have unveiled their latest single, “Savior,” accompanied by an impactful music video. The track is a preview of their upcoming EP, Swan Song, which is scheduled for release at the end of the year through TLG|ZOID / Virgin Music Group.

“Savior” addresses the challenging state of contemporary society, as explained by the band’s frontman, Sean Danielsen. “I feel like people have grown cold to each other and selfishness has stepped up as the primary mentality,” Danielsen reflects. The song’s poignant lyrics and gripping melody are a testament to the band’s signature sound and their ability to tackle relevant themes through their music.

SMILE EMPTY SOUL is a hard rock band that originated in Los Angeles, CA in the late 1990’s and has stayed true to their brand of “no bullshit”, “real as it gets” hard rock to this day. The band signed a major label record deal in 2003 to release their self-titled debut album in May of that year. They realized huge success at alternative radio, rock radio, and the music video channels that have since fallen by the wayside or turned into reality show networks.

After 3 very successful singles/videos and a gold record from the debut release, the band ran into trouble with their record company (which was in the midst of turmoil at the top levels) and found themselves working extra hard in the trenches, and signed to indie labels or no label at all from then on.

This would become SMILE EMPTY SOUL’s destiny, as they have gone on to release many more albums and EP’s on various labels, as well as their own company “smile empty music inc”. The band released their 9th full length record Black Pilled on October 12th of 2021 completely on their own.

“Smile” has become known for its constant touring and never wavering honest sound/lyrics. They’ve never changed for anybody, and turned down many opportunities to “sell out” because it’s not who they are.

With a new album, and just as much drive as they had starting out 20 years ago, this band looks to continue to build on the legacy they’ve created as one of the hardest working, and most underrated bands in rock and roll.

The band has recently partnered with TLG|ZOID / Virgin Music Group to release new music. Denny Sanders (The Label Group) and Sean Danielsen previously partnered on the successful release of Consciousness. Released in 2009 the record has become second only to the band’s debut release in popularity.

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS), a UK-based duo featuring Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy), emerged in London in early 2020. Their debut album, Full Spectrum, established their innovative fusion of poetry performance and heavy music, creating a unique form of expression that has become synonymous with TCOMAS.

TCOMAS’s sophomore album, Trust No Leaders, released on July 1, 2022, explores the history of metal, paying tribute to various subgenres. Set against orchestral and cinematic landscapes, the songs also incorporate non-Western musical influences. The lyrics draw inspiration from contemporary and classical poetry, as well as Jungian psychology.

In 2024, TCOMAS released “Mysterium Tremendum” – a fusion of classical orchestration, poetry, and death metal.

THE NOMADIC Release Three New Singles ‘Don’t Give Up on Your Dreams’, ‘Hearts and Minds’ + ‘Revolution’

Following on from the release of first singles from the upcoming New Horizons album- “Treading Water”, “All Changed” and “First Light”, The Nomadic has released three new singles: “Don’t Give Up on Your Dreams”, “Hearts and Minds” and “Revolution”.

Singer Songwriter Rob Gaylard relocated home to Sydney Australia in February 2022 after 5 years as a regular feature of the New York City indie rock scene and recorded New Horizons with Dan Frizza in Sydney at Forbes Studios.

The Nomadic is the best of Aussie rock talent, with Miles Thomas (Lior, Ronan Keating, Montaigne) on drums, Oliver Thorpe (The Whitlams, Matt Corby, Meg Mac) on guitar, and Brendan Clark (Meg Mac, Montaigne, Jack River) on bass. Dan Frizza as producer lends the kind of magic touch that has seen him enrich the work of the likes of Tones & I, King Princess, and Gurrumul.

About the new releases, singer songwriter Rob explains “We are now into the ‘rockier’ side of our New Horizons album, which is a 14 track album to be released mid year. ‘Don’t Give Up on Your Dreams’ is both introspective and empowering, and is really a call to arms for everyone to live their best lives! ‘Hearts and Minds’ is inspired by my time working with the UN in Afghanistan, in the middle of a war for the hearts and minds of the local population. ‘Revolution’ is all about the massive life changes and revolutions that happen in our lives at the individual, community, national and global levels! As the chorus line goes- it is never too late to start a revolution!”

Australian guitarist and singer/songwriter Robert Gaylard brings a unique perspective and vision when it comes to creating music. His inspiration and passion for starting The Nomadic began early on as a child after traveling to many countries like Myanmar (formerly Burma), Singapore and the Solomon Islands. His “nomadic” lifestyle continued on into his adulthood when he began to work for the United Nations in various countries such as: Kenya, Somalia, the Sudan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Israel and Palestine. His travels eventually brought him to New York in September of 2012 and motivated him to pursue his songwriting by establishing an indie rock band.

Influenced by artists like Oasis, Radiohead, The Verve, Bruce Springsteen, Phosphorescent, The War on Drugs, Arizona and The 1975, The Nomadic produces a sound genre like no other as alternative rock meets blues with hints of Americana and pop.

Having been originally influenced by numerous cultures and ways of life, The Nomadic promotes and advocates for issues of social action and innovation, human rights, support for minorities, as well as doing the next right thing, including the idea that it is never too late, including for people to follow their dreams and passions.

BRAINSORE to Release Debut Album “The Grip of the Naked Mind” on August 2nd

Time To Kill Records is proud to present BRAINSORE’s debut album, “The Grip of the Naked Mind”, on CD and digital formats. The album will be released on August 2nd 2024.

The first single “In Life Is Coils” is now streaming at THIS LOCATION.

“Here the lyrical concept is the volcanic and somehow deranged depiction of life as an hardship itself, a pinnacle of traumas. Like most of my lyrics it’s visionary, abstract, misty and unclear. The lyric title says it all: in life is coils”.

When merited veterans of the Italian death metal and grindcore scenes conspire to breathe life into a new entity, you know you are in for a real treat.

Founded in Modena by drummer Don Gulag and guitarist Holy Father in spring 2022, the duo eventually recruited vocalist Horcrux Urethra (ex-Jesus Ain’t In Poland) and started focusing on songwriting and live activity, storming the stages all over northern Italy.

BRAINSORE
find themselves on the crossroad between grind, death metal, hardcore and general hysteria. With no compromises or no rules, the band push the boundaries for an intense and chaotic soundscape without losing their love for groove and subtle melodies.

Expertly wielding the fierce brutality and massive aggression of their genre, the Italians add intelligent songwriting, effective arrangements, and musical proficiency as well as unexpected elements to their sound.

Tracklist:

01. The Stinking Sinister
02. Sons Of Seznec
03. Harvest Red
04. In Life Is Coils
05. The Mangrove Diaries
06. The Amen Corner
07. When Hunger Saves
08. Mount Ashes
