Finnish melodic death metal band Superdeathflame returns with melodic metal anthem “Crown Of Stars”. The song is about the lone survivor of an intelligent species standing beneath an infinite, starry sky. Clean and growling vocals ride harmonized guitars, driving double‑bass drumming, and a bridge that swells into an anthemic, melodic chorus. This song is about cosmic solitude, defiant resolve, and bittersweet hope.

From Southern Finland’s gray landscapes rises SUPERDEATHFLAME, the Style-Masters-of-Metal ready to conquer the world with our mature and melodic music that catches the ear. Founded in 2007 and released two full length albums and a batch of singles and EP. Their songs are made for listener, no bullshit. The songs are hard, every piece tells a real story of life. The foundation, the Four Pillars of our Metal are Rock-solid guitar riffs and punchy drumbeats colored with flowing synths and world class choruses that are infectiously catchy. Superdeathflame is building their music with an increasingly determined focus to make every song sound simple and easy to a listener. Not forgetting multidimensional interpretation in the lyrics, that gives the depth to the songs.
Internationally acclaimed guitarist / composer and FIREWIND mastermind GUS G. will release his fifth solo album, ‘Steel Burner’, on April 24, 2026 through Metal Department Records. The album marks his first solo release in five years and captures a powerful fusion of modern instrumental Metal and carefully curated vocal collaborations.
Following an extended period of post-pandemic touring, ‘Steel Burner’ represents a renewed creative focus on Gus G.’s solo vision. The album showcases his signature guitar style – combining technical precision, melody, and intensity – while expanding its emotional and thematic range through collaborations with some of the Metal scene’s most legendary and respected voices.
The album’s title track, “Steel Burner,” was the catalyst for the entire project. Originally commissioned for a company that manufactures industrial machines used to shape metal, Gus G. drew inspiration from a machine fittingly named Steel Burner. The track’s energy became the foundation for the album’s concept and ultimately its title.
While instrumental tracks highlight Gus G.’s evolution as a composer and guitarist, ‘Steel Burner’ also features several standout vocal songs. The undisputed Metal Queen, Doro Pesch appears on “Nothing Can Break Me,” a powerful metal anthem focused on inner strength, perseverance, and resilience. “No One Has to Know,” featuring Dino Jelusick, delivers a modern hard rock approach while addressing the artificial lives and personas often portrayed through social media.
Matt Barlow (Iced Earth, Ashes of Ares) brings his unmistakable intensity to “Dancing With Death,” an epic metal track with a contemporary twist that explores the darker theme of addiction. Additional collaborations include Ronnie Romero (Rainbow), whose work with Gus G. originated from their recent joint world tour and resulted in two tracks on the album, further shaping its collaborative direction.
Reflecting on the upcoming release, Gus G. comments:
“This is my first solo album release in 5 years. As I’ve been pretty busy in the post-pandemic world with heavy touring, I always had the idea to put out another solo album at some point. This time around, I felt I wanted the best of both worlds – being able to explore guitar instrumental music, but also collaborate with singers I love and am a fan of.”
‘Steel Burner’ was mixed and mastered by acclaimed producer Dennis Ward (Helloween, Pink Cream 69), delivering a clear, powerful, and contemporary sound that complements both the album’s instrumental complexity and vocal performances.
With his 5th solo album, Gus G. delivers a confident and forward-looking statement — an album that honours Metal’s roots while embracing modern themes, production, and collaboration.
The instrumental title track “Steel Burner” is now streaming on all digital platforms. You can also watch the official video here:

The legendary songs, recorded by Andy Scott, Mick Tucker, Paul Mario Day (Iron Maiden), Phil Lanzon (Uriah Heep), and Mal McNulty (Slade), are available on an album again for the first time since 1989.
„Reincarnation“ also includes two previously unreleased bonus tracks!
Andy Scott says today about the recordings and the Sweet line-up at the time:
“The year was 1985. The reformation of Sweet was under way. I had been hanging out with Mick Tucker and we’d talked about putting together a “new” Rock line-up of Sweet after the hiatus of the original band.
I had recruited Phil Lanzon on keyboards and Mal McNulty on bass, now we needed the Voice! Paul Mario Day walked in and we looked no further. Paul was the original singer with Iron Maiden and had a stint with the band More before he joined Sweet.
Our first dates were in Australia, total sell-outs which boded well for the future. Europe followed suit and 3 sold out nights at the original Marquee Club in London produced a live album, video and DVD. “Live at the Marquee” did well in various charts around the world and Paul’s vocal performance has stood the test of time.
There were also tracks recorded at Pacific Studios in London which feature Paul’s incredible vocals. These recordings were meant to be the start of a new phase for Sweet but due to a management dispute only 4 tracks were released.
Sadly Paul is no longer with us but the legacy is right here for everyone to appreciate.”

Britpop originalsDodgy launch the next chapter of their return with a brand-new single, album confirmation, a UK tour and anniversary celebrations for one of the defining albums of the 90s.
The band have released their new single “It’s Not The End”, out now and the next track to be taken from their forthcoming album ‘Hello Beautiful‘, confirmed for release on Friday 1st May 2026. The announcement comes as momentum continues to build following the success of comeback single “Hello Beautiful”, which recently delivered the band’s first Top 40 chart appearance in over a decade.
“It’s Not The End” shows another side to the forthcoming album. Melancholic yet uplifting, it blends classic Dodgy melody with a more reflective tone, capturing the band sounding older, wiser and still unmistakably themselves.
Singer Nigel Clark explains: “It’s Not The End’ was arranged really quickly in the studio during the sessions for the new album. It started with a simple lyric that felt really direct and honest, and the song just seemed to guide us where it wanted to go. It became an instant favourite. Reviews have said it sounds like an older, wiser, deeper Dodgy, which is exactly how I’d want us to sound in 2026.”
Drummer Mathew Priest says:“It feels like the right time for the band. The reaction to the new music has been brilliant and we’re really looking forward to taking these songs out around the country. Independent venues are where we started and they’re still the lifeblood of live music, so it’s important for us to keep playing them.”
New Album Confirmed: Hello Beautiful ‘Hello Beautiful’ will be Dodgy’s sixth studio album and their first full release since 2016’s What Are We Fighting For. Recorded by original members Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest and Andy Miller alongside long-time collaborators Stu Thoy and Graham Mann, the record sees the band reconnecting with the melodic optimism that first made them one of Britain’s most loved guitar bands, while bringing the perspective of three decades of shared history.
Hello Beautiful – UK Album Tour 2026 To celebrate the album, Dodgy will head out across the UK this spring, continuing their long-standing commitment to playing independent venues wherever possible and supporting the grassroots circuit that first helped launch their career.
Free Peace Sweet turns 30 Later in 2026, Dodgy will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic album Free Peace Sweet with a series of very special shows featuring guests The Icicle Works. Originally released in 1996, Free Peace Sweet delivered some of the band’s biggest songs and remains one of the defining British guitar albums of the era, featuring hits including “Good Enough”, “In A Room”, “If You’re Thinking Of Me” and “Found You”. The anniversary shows promise a full celebration of the album alongside fan favourites from across the catalogue. Nigel added: “We’ve been through so much together as a band, and the fact we’re still here making new records and playing shows we genuinely love is something we don’t take for granted. The new album feels like a fresh start, and celebrating Free Peace Sweet at the same time makes 2026 feel pretty special for us.”
Still writing their story Formed in the late 1980s, Dodgy went on to become one of the defining bands of the 90s British guitar boom, releasing five albums, selling more than two million records and landing 12 UK Top 40 singles. Their enduring hit “Good Enough” remains one of the most played songs on British radio of the last three decades. Still fronted by original members Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest and Andy Miller, the band continue to evolve while retaining the optimism and melodic instinct that first connected them with audiences more than thirty years ago. With new music arriving, a major UK tour confirmed and anniversary celebrations on the horizon, Dodgy head into 2026 busier – and sounding stronger – than they have in years.
