Together, they forge a musical odyssey that transcends the ordinary, delivering a symphony of chaos and carnage that will leave listeners spellbound.

Per Valla shares: “With the God Slayer album I wanted to take a step back regarding tempo, not focusing so much on fast songs. There is definitely some fast stuff in there, but my main objective was to create memorable songs and guitar riffs with a lot of punch and power to them.”

About the collaboration with Dominator he continious: “This time Vredehammer had the pleasure of having Nils “Dominator” Fjellström doing drums for the album. Having played with Nils on other occasions, I was excited to see how he would perform when the music didn’t just consist of fast black metal stuff, which is known to be his specialty. He definitely rose to the occasion and contributed with some great ideas for the drums.”

French death metal outfit AD PATRES have just unleashed the new single ‘Deserter’. The song is taken from their new album “Unbreathable” which will be released on June 7th 2024 via Non Serviam Records.

“‘Deserter’ is one of the most intense and challenging track off the album ‘Unbreathable’”, comments the band.

Listen to the song HERE: https://album.link/deserter

Main composer and guitar player Olivier Bousquet‘s clear vision shaped the album. Fostering a suffocating and claustrophobic atmosphere, “Unbreathable” seamlessly integrates new technical horizons with the band’s signature sound, resulting in a work of heightened accomplishment.

“Unbreathable” will be available as CD, vinyl and digital. Pre-order it now here:

  • CD: https://www.non-serviam-records.com/products/ad-patres-unbreathable
  • VINYL: https://www.non-serviam-records.com/products/ad-patres-vinyl
  • DIGITAL: https://non-serviam-records.bandcamp.com/album/unbreathable

“Unbreathable” track listing reads as follows

  1. Intro
  2. The Dream Chaser
  3. Versus
  4. Deserter
  5. Exodus
  6. Interlude

  10. Deus Deceptor

The stunning cover artwork was crafted by Yohan “Haash” Hühner.

Bordeaux-based AD PATRES were founded in 2008 and released their first EP 2 years later – featuring three intense and brutal tracks that drew inspiration from death metal giants like MORBID ANGEL and SUFFOCATION. The EP laid the foundation for their unique sound, blending classic death metal standards with modern influences.
After their first full-length offspring “Scorn Aesthetics” in 2012, the band quickly gained recognition for their brutal and uncompromising approach to death metal.
The band is known for a style that seamlessly oscillates between melodic elements and unbridled aggression. Rejecting a calculated approach, AD PATRES focuses on crafting music that resonates with their personal tastes, involves meticulous refinement, and undergo extensive rehearsal.
Describing their sound as clean, direct, and devoid of unnecessary frills, they aim for a music experience that is unequivocally “in your face”, as their latest effort “A Brief Introduction To Human Experiments” (2018) showcases.

AD PATRES are:
Olivier Bousquet – Songwriting, Guitars
Sylvestre Alexandre – Guitars
Mathieu Larroudé – Bass

CLEAR VISION Drop New Single ‘Behind The Silence’

Finnish metal powerhouse CLEAR VISION have been tearing through the last couple of years while relentlessly honing their signature blend of 80s rock nostalgia and modern metal fury. As they gear up for their debut album release, they’re treating us to one last snack by showcasing the title track ‘Behind the Silence.’

The new single highlights the struggle to escape the chaotic cacaphony of today’s world. It’s a song roaring with raw power, yet beneath the rugged exterior lies a hidden tenderness.

Explaining the story behind this face-melting track, the band says: “Behind the Silence is a tale of all the harmful noise in the world today and how hard it is to get away from it. I mean living outside the social media and not always being available is something that most of us should do more. But it’s not easy because we all tied to it someway or other. Like modern world, the song is mostly loud and crude, but there is softness hidden under the surface.”

Music & Lyrics:
Petri Paronen, Mika Koskimies, Jaakko Mäntymaa, Mikko Laihanen, Markus Vanhala, Teemu Aalto

Release date: May 31. Pre-save the new single here!

MR. BIG will release their tenth studio album, ‘Ten’, on Friday, July 12 featuring 11 new original tracks! In a tribute to their late drummer Pat Torpey, Martin, Gilbert, and bassist Billy Sheehan have enlisted the exceptional talents of Nick D’Virgilio on drums for ‘Ten’, which was produced by Jay Ruston and MR. BIG.

In the midst of their final tour – The BIG Finish – MR. BIG, inspired by the legions of fans that shared in their goodbye over the past year, wanted to say a final farewell with the undertaking of a brand-new studio album. Culminating over three decades of musical partnership, Martin, Gilbert, and Sheehan, with the help of D’Virgilio, ignite their spark once more and take a new form with the forthcoming ‘Ten’. The first single and accompanying video from ‘Ten’, “Good Luck Trying”, is a loud, raw, ‘70s blues rocker that pulls influence from MR. BIG’s earliest musical inspirations.

Eric Martin comments on ‘Ten’:

“This new album doesn’t copy anything from the 9 previous studio records its all new stuff from scratch.. this is raw, unadulterated riff rock and blues with all the Mr. Big trimmings.”

Paul Gilbert explains the meaning behind the lyrics:

“Overall, it’s about being overwhelmed with life, and realizing that you won’t win many of the battles, but still fighting to the end. And keeping a sense of humor about it by saying to anyone nearby, ‘Wish me good luck trying!'”

Pre-Order ‘Ten’: https://ffm.to/mrbigten.OPR

As a session musician and touring artist, Nick has worked with many different kinds of artists and bands, from Tears for Fears, Sheryl Crow, and Kevin Gilbert to Peter Gabriel and Eric Burdon and the ANIMALS. In 1996, Nick took Phil Collins’s place in GENESIS and played on their ‘Calling All Stations’ album. He has also carved out a major presence in the progressive rock world with his bands, Spock’s Beard and Big Big Train. Before joining the Sweetwater team, Nick spent almost five years touring with Cirque Du Soleil’s “Totem” as a drummer, vocalist, and assistant bandleader.

The entirety of the album, recorded both live in the studio and on the tour bus, showcases the band’s unique ability to compose homegrown hard rock ‘n’ roll and their consistent success in climbing new musical heights.

Four years after their critically acclaimed latest album Mestarin kynsi, Finnish psychedelic metal superconductors ORANSSI PAZUZU have unveiled a music video for their brand new single, ‘Muuntautuja‘. With influences as diverse as Black Metal, Psychedelia, and Electronic Music, the band creates a sonic convulsing mass that transports listeners to otherworldly realms.
