Renowned blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Joanne Shaw Taylor unveils “Change Of Heart,” the final and most personal single from her eagerly anticipated album Heavy Soul, out June 7th via Journeyman Records. Featuring Taylor’s expressive vocals and masterful guitar playing, the track is further enriched by its joyful and inspirational lyrics, penned with the help of the legendary songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman, (Bonnie Raitt, Elton John, Willie Nelson, Trisha Yearwood) which explores the vulnerability and courage involved in opening up to love.

Veteran midwest metal outfit CONQUEST return with their latest album, ‘Paradox,’ released on Friday, May 10th. Available as two vinyl records or a single CD (plus available on all streaming services), the album continues in the same direction as their previous studio offerings, as evidenced by such standout tracks as “Walking Dead” and “The Writings on the Wall” (both of which have already been issued as music videos), as well as a cover of the Rainbow classic, “Man on the Silver Mountain.”

Comprised of Derrick Brumley: Lead Vocals and Guitar, Mike Crook: Vocals and Guitar, Rob Boyer: Vocals and Bass, and Lee Skyles: Vocals and Drums, ‘Paradox’ was also produced and mixed by Derrick (and engineered by Adam Long), the band’s latest album is getting rave reviews via metal media, including the Rock You Show site saying “I have to give this one 9.5 out of 10 “Flaming Fist”. You nearly get 2 albums worth of great quality music, including a stellar cover of Rainbow’s “Man on the Silver Mountain”. I thank them personally for keeping the Metal torch lit in these times of darkness”.

“This was a record that took 3 years to make had many different obstacles,” admits Derrick. “But we made it through and it was a blast to put together. All the band members did an outstanding job from The melodies on the bass to the blazing guitar solos and the strong aggressive drumming…these guys helped me put it all together. And it turned out in my opinion over the top.”

And the singer/guitarist/producer also has some favorite tracks in mind. “Lots to choose from. The obvious tracks ‘Walking Dead,’ ‘Writing on the Wall,’ there are all kinds of different heavy metal tracks on this record. ‘Babylon America’ and ‘The Killing Time,’ two different styles but very, very complimentary to each other.”

Additionally, the cover of “Man on the Silver Mountain” is certainly a standout. “‘Man on the Silver Mountain’ for me was always one of those tracks when I was a kid that just stood out. My dad always played it and my friend’s dad’s always played that song, it was just one of those songs in the midwest that really had some grit to it.”

Lee Skyles added “Recording the PARADOX album in the studio was rewarding in the sense it felt to be very organic in nature with the even flow of the songs as we wrote them and recorded. As some songs were done with such feeling between us in the room together and other tracks we laid the drums later on the fly like ‘Babylon America’ and ‘World of Hate’ which gave it more of what you would want it to be like. PARADOX was truly a metal masterful piece of work in which keeps the old school metal flavor in a modern form.”

Rockshots Records is thrilled to announce the name of the lead singer for Lay Of The Autumn: Iryna “ERIA” Boyarkina!

Iryna is a renowned artist from Ukraine, recognized as “ERIA” and has gained fame through her performances with the band Mysterya and her appearances in popular contests like Eurovision, X-Factor and The Voice.

On last 12th April 2024 Lay Of The Autumn released their first single, the instrumental song “Si Sta Come D’Autunno Sugli Alberi Le Foglie” which gained interest of media and fans expecting for more news about this project.

As described by mastermind Davide Scuteri “this is a hermetic title. During the First World War there was a poet into the battlefield, his name was Giuseppe Ungaretti and he wrote these lines in his poetry “Soldati (Soldiers)”, as perpetual symbol of the life in the trenches.

It’s an instrumental powerful and virtusistic song, in the style of the Stratovarius, which talks about the conflicting emotions which can live inside us, and the precarious condition of the life when the Lay of the Autumn comes”.

The Rock against Bullying project was born in 2018 from an initiative by Salvo “Ironwill” Dell’Arte:
the band is part of a wide kaleidoscope in which all artistic forms are involved: music, photography,
video, comics, illustration and works of art. IRONWILL‘s aim is to bring together the best artists
who are able to express, the importance of the themes dealt with in each phase of the project,
through their emotions.

IRONWILL believes that rock music and other forms of art are the best way to communicate with
people, especially young people and teenagers, the light of the soul that everyone needs on the
evolution path of their lives. Art is part of life and is the best way to help us give true meaning to
our journey on this Earth.

IRONWILL aims to deal with personal and psychological issues, offering different points of view into
the depths of one’s soul, trying to shine a warm light at the audience. The first chapter dealt with bullying; in 2019 IRONWILL recorded the concept album “The Jonathan’s Journey”.

The second chapter released in 2020/2021, called “Breakout”, is about the evolution of souls; 10
songs (plus an introductory single) linked by the same perspective: a positive evolution.
In the meantime, IRONWILL are experimenting with a return to blues with a set of singles in which
the crossover between rock and blues allows them to explore the themes musically. This fascinating exploration is called B2B Back to Blues.

The third single and video clip ‘Sad Night’ from Ironwill’s upcoming EP has just premiered.

SEBASTIAN BACH Celebrates New Album “Child Within The Man” with New Single ‘Freedom’

SEBASTIAN BACH has a lot to celebrate today. It’s the release day for his much-anticipated “Child Within The Man” (Reigning Phoenix Music) album — his first solo effort in 10 years — and tonight he’ll launch the U.S. leg of his “What Do I Got To Lose? Tour.” The singer, songwriter, author, Broadway star, and actor has also released a new single ‘Freedom’ from the album, with a video to follow in the coming days. Listen here. ‘Freedom’ is the latest track from “Child Within The Man”; it follows ‘What Do I Got To Lose?,’ ‘Everybody Bleeds,’ and ‘(Hold On) To The Dream.’

“‘Child Within The Man’ relates to the fact that rock and roll makes me feel like a kid,” BACH told Rock And Roll Globe. “The excitement of rock, the sound of it, the collecting of it, the communal vibe when you have a party or go to a concert—to me, rock and roll when it’s done right, like this album, feels like a magic elixir. Like something you can enjoy that makes you feel like a youth. The spirit of being a little kid. I can’t think of many things that do that in this world.”

“Child Within The Man” was recorded in Orlando, Florida; produced and mixed by Baskette; engineered by Jef Moll, assistant engineered by Josh Saldate; and mastered by Robert Ludwig/Gateway Mastering. BACH wrote or co-wrote all the album’s 11 tracks and sang all lead and backing vocals. “Child Within The Man” features guest appearances from John 5, Steve Stevens, and Orianthi—who all co-wrote their respective tracks with BACH—and two tracks co-written with Myles Kennedy (‘What Do I Got to Lose?’ and ‘To Live Again’); Devin Bronson on guitars, Todd Kerns (bass) and Jeremy Coulson (drums) round out the players on the album. The album is available on CD (Jewelcase), cassette and double LP in a variety of color options. The album artwork holds special meaning since it was designed by BACH’s father, noted visual artist David Bierk. “This album artwork was started in 1978 and finished in 2024!” SEBASTIAN says.
