With Unleashed, 3FORCE seamlessly blends club-friendly beats with ‘80s melodic nostalgia. With tracks like “Get Down,” which the band describes as offering, “an immersive cosmic cyberpunk experience…”, “Prevention” that showcases 3FORCE’s ability to seamlessly blend synthwave and dance with hints of electronic and rock, the infectious single “Masks Off” an adrenaline-fueled adventure, and “Meet The Devil,” a collaboration with Minute Taker, delving into the darker side of human nature the album is a sonic journey that fuses synthwave, electronic, and dance pop into a happy and energetic soundscape from start to finish; from “Get Down” to “Farewell.” Each single offers a glimpse into 3FORCE‘s meticulously crafted and polished production work.

Take the heroes journey through pulsating beats and retro-inspired synths. Whether you’re cruising the streets in your car or the night club, exploring themes of love, betrayal, and the apocalypse, 3FORCE has you covered.

Fusing modern EDM rhythms with retro synthesizers and injecting the result with a shot of science fiction, 3FORCE stands as pioneers in the new generation of retro artists. The Russian trio took the synthwave world by storm with their electrifying debut, Intergalactic, whose mix of club-friendly beats and ‘80s melodic nostalgia established them as one of the most innovative artists on the edges of retro electronic music.

3FORCE experienced a breakout moment with the release of their follow-up album, Resistance, earning them acclaim from synthwave and EDM audiences while racking up over a million streams on Spotify alone. In 2018, 3FORCE signed a multi-album deal with independent label FiXT, re-releasing their first two albums and embarking on a new creative path in the process.

2019 was punctuated by a series of remarkable singles leading up to the group’s latest full-length recording Divide & Collide, released in January of 2020, a creatively ambitious effort featuring collabs with diverse artists including Scandroid, Megan McDuffee, and Raizer. The warm reception to the release helped cement 3FORCE as one of the most popular artists creating cyberpunk music today.

In July of 2020, 3FORCE kicked off the release path to their next album with a brand new track, “Pursuit”, finished up the year with two new singles “The Watchers,” “Abyss” (feat. Scandroid) [Gancher & Ruin Remix], and rolled through 2021 with four new singles, “In The House In A Heartbeat,” scoring a feature on Dread Central, “Alpha Prophecy,” “Equiviolent,” which featured on FiXT‘s flagship series Altered: Regeneration, and “Midnight Overdrive.” The trio also had seven songs featured on the video game Curved Space, an arcade style twin shooter, released in June 2021.

For nearly two decades, HARM’S WAY has evolved from whispered underground favorites to their own globally adored force with an arsenal of songs that helped shape heavy music’s trajectory creating a roadmap for legions interested in “reinventing” themselves“. HARM’S WAY has never stayed complacent and constantly morphed, shape-absorbing and reapplying influences in new and creative ways to create some of the most well-executed songs in hardcore, punk and metal.

And yet, considering the changeling that they and their previous efforts are, Common Suffering is easily the most musically diverse undertaking in their catalog. The album beams with incredibly memorable riffs, breakdowns, and impeccable songwriting. The title is a clear nod to the collective experiences of the past three years of chaos, misanthropy, paranoia, disorder, confusion, and anxiety, with the band exploring themes ranging from personal struggles with mental health, relationships, political upheaval, corruption, and political power.

The precision-guided cluster bombs contained within Common Suffering are just ten more reasons for HARM’S WAY fans to queue up to see one of the best and most vicious live shows on the planet. There, amongst the wide smiles, flailing arms and bodies pinballing off of the edges of the pit, is where the world will see just how singular and uncommon the new effort is.

ALIEN WEAPONRY Documentary Film “Alien Weaponry: Kua Tupu Te Ara” to Premiere at World-Renowned Tribeca Film Festival

New Zealand’s global metal frontrunners, ALIEN WEAPONRY, recently released their sophomore full-length album, Tangaroa. This important album — which continues the band’s preservation and amplification of the history and culture of their home country’s indigenous Māori people — followed the trio’s breakout 2018 album, Tū. Its debut led to #1 chart entries and massive critical acclaim, in addition to award nominations and wins. But how did they get there, what has life been like behind the scenes for this fast-rising phenomenon up until now, and where are they headed next?

“Alien Weaponry: Kua Tupu Te Ara”, a new documentary film from director Kent Belcher and producer Nigel McCulloch, provides an intimate deep dive beneath the surface of ALIEN WEAPONRY‘s past, present and fast-approaching future. The film features appearances from metal elite like Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe, Testament’s Chuck Billy and Gojira’s Joe and Mario Duplantier.

Befitting a culturally vital band like ALIEN WEAPONRY, the 97-minute documentary will see its global premiere at the world-renowned Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on June 6, 2024 at the Village East Cinema (8:45PM, 181-189 2nd Avenue). The premiere will include a special Q&A with the film’s director, writer/producer, and editor. The film will also be shown at various additional local theaters throughout the festival’s duration. For more information on how to catch a showing or the premiere itself, click here.

[Promotional still for “Alien Weaponry: Kua Tupu Te Ara”]

ALIEN WEAPONRY says:
“We are so excited to finally share this documentary we have been working on for years with you. The film captures our journey of navigating the world of music, showing the highlights, the hardships, and everything in between.”

Director Kent Belcher adds:
“After six years of traveling with, living with and filming the ALIEN WEAPONRY family, to finally be able to share that with audiences and showcase Māori culture in a vibrant and heartfelt way is just so rewarding. To have my first film as director premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival is an absolute dream come true.

What makes our film is the family aspect. The ups and downs, the strains of being on the road with your family and then pulling through because you’ve all got a common goal. They’re an amazing, powerful group of people and they’ve taught me a hell of a lot. I’m so privileged to be part of this. I can’t put it into words how lucky I am to have met these people, be able to film these people and then being able to learn stuff about myself. It has honestly been the best experience of my life.”

“Alien Weaponry: Kua Tupu Te Ara” is an intimate portrait of the most important six years in the life of this band and, in particular, the two brothers at the band’s core — from the release of their debut album, Tū, as they take their music to the world, touring through Australasia, Europe and America. It is an insight into what impact constant touring, teenage angst and creating music has had on the boys and their family around them.

From the privileged position of being embedded with the band on the road, the film has unique access to the family, their shows and their touring. This is an exclusive view from the inside, showing a band on the rise. More importantly, this is a portrait of a normal, down-to-earth kiwi family who find themselves in extraordinary circumstances. On the one hand, they are living a life that may see Henry and Lewis realize all of their dreams, but on the other, this could be a path that could ultimately end up changing who they are entirely.

Get Your Copy of the band’s latest album, Tangaroa, HERE

Watch below ALIEN WEAPONRY’s music video for title track “Tangaroa”

ALIEN WEAPONRY won over fans and critics alike with their latest album, Tangaroa. The album coalesces the band’s growing maturation with an undisturbed songwriting process, resulting in their most inspired, honest and informed material yet. In addition to lyrics written in te reo Māori, many Tangaroa tracks feature traditional instruments, called taonga puoro, providing the tracks their own warrior-like attitude. While ALIEN WEAPONRY sourced inspiration from their culture and environmental surroundings while writing most of Tangaroa, the band also looked inward – drawing vision for other portions of the album from within.

Since releasing their acclaimed debut Tū (2018), ALIEN WEAPONRY‘s kinetic presence and sound — combining elements of thrash and groove metal with lyrics in the native indigenous language, te reo Māori — has attracted throngs of fans and media supporters across the globe. In addition to amassing millions of cross-platform streams and YouTube views, the band has seen bounds of success at SiriusXM Liquid Metal, was recently hailed the “future of metal” by Metal Hammer and was voted by Revolver Magazine fans as “one of the bands most likely to break out in 2021”. The band are two-time winners of the Aotearoa Music Award for “Te Kaipuoro Rakapioi Toa” (Best Rock Artist), and have won or been nominated for many more esteemed New Zealand and international awards. In the last few years alone, ALIEN WEAPONRY has had the privilege of performing with the likes of Guns N’ Roses, Gojira, Slayer, Black Label Society and more.

ALIEN WEAPONRY is:
Henry Te Reiwhati de Jong – Drums, Backing vocals
Lewis Raharuhi de Jong – Guitars, Lead vocals

Metal Blade Records is pleased to welcome Oxnard, California crossover collective DEAD HEAT to its iconic roster!

Forged in 2016 in, DEAD HEAT is known for their high-energy live performances and aggressive sound that draws influence from various subgenres of thrash, punk, hardcore, and metal. DEAD HEAT‘s music is characterized by fast, thrashy riffs, driving rhythms, harmonious leads, and intense vocals that often veer into screamed or shouted terrain. Thematically, the band delves deep into social and political issues, as well as personal struggles and experiences.

In addition to crafting pulverizing music, the DEAD HEAT crew is notorious for their DIY approach to punk/metal culture and their involvement in the broader hardcore scene. The band members are regularly involved in booking shows and events in their local scene, as well as supporting various social and political causes.

Comments vocalist Christian Ramos of the band’s union with Metal Blade Records, “To be part of a label that has put out some of our favorite records and has had some of our favorite artists is without words an absolute honor!“

Adds rhythm guitarist Justin Ton, “We’re on the same label that birthed Slayer and put Metallica on the map. It’s an honor.“

States Metal Blade’s Ryan Williams; US A&R, “DEAD HEAT fucking slays; it’s an honor to welcome them to the Metal Blade family.”

Over the course of their eight-year existence, DEAD HEAT has released a split with New York heavyweights Mindforce, two full-length albums, and several EPs including their most recent EP, Endless Torment, issued in 2023 on Triple B Records and Tankcrimes to critical acclaim. Wrote Revolver of the five-track bruiser, “The Nardcore torchbearers have only gotten heavier and nastier in the last two years, and on this joint, the barreling double-bass kicks and sawtooth guitar tones make their crossover thrashiness hit harder than it ever has.” Decibel concurred hailing songs that are “built for pit action: side-to-side riffs alongside driving bass, dive bombs, [and] fist-pumping vocal sections,” while Noizze hailed, “one of the best thrash records of the Summer for sure.“

DEAD HEAT has toured extensively, playing shows across the United States, Europe, and Japan. The band will play a one-off show supporting Bodycount later this month before joining Drain, Terror, Angel Dust, and End It for a short run of shows in June. In July, the band will bring their onstage bedlam to European stages. OUR NOISE Sign Worldwide Deal with Epictronic for Release of Debut Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 15, 2024
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: OUR NOISE. Leave a comment

Toronto-based indie-rock power trio OUR NOISE (aka ‘ON’), comprised of Lucy Di Santo (vocals & bass), Dan Cornelius (drums), and Steve Fall (guitars), have signed a worldwide licensing and distribution deal with European label Epictronic for their highly-anticipated self-titled debut album, OUR NOISE.

This announcement comes after the band’s extensive 2023 tour across the US and Ontario, Canada, including electrifying performances at SXSW and Treefort Music Festival. Partnering with their new management, Deadfall Management (UK), Our Noise is gearing up for a scorching Fall tour throughout Europe, alongside select North American Summer dates.

A Forceful Debut

Due for release on May 31, 2024, Our Noise’s self-titled album is a testament to the band’s undeniable creative chemistry, showcasing a multi-layered and powerful rock sound. The album’s origins can be traced back to an impromptu jam session at NYC’s Funkadelic Studios, where Cornelius and Fall, united by their passion for timeless rock and punk energy, reignited their musical camaraderie.

Inspired by late-night guitar collaborations in Cornelius’ NYC apartment and walks through the city’s vibrant streets, the duo sent their musical sketches to Di Santo in Toronto. With her powerful vocals and bass grooves, Di Santo transformed these initial jams into a collection of songs that capture collective experiences, observations, and inspirations.

Genre-Defying and Genre-Defining

Our Noise defies easy categorization, blending influences from heavy rock, punk, hardcore, old-funk grooves, post-grunge, and indie-rock progressions. Di Santo’s vocals, capable of haunting melodies and raw rasps, perfectly complement the electrifying sonic tapestry woven by the band.

Recorded at Star Sound Studios in Fort Myers, Florida with Drew Howard and completed at Phase One Studios in Toronto with Darius Szczepaniak, OUR NOISE is slated for release on Epictronic Records in May 2024.

Our Noise: The band

Emerging from the vibrant streets of Toronto and resonating through the bustling avenues of New York City, this indie-rock power trio presents as a force to be reckoned with. Their unique sound is an electrifying sonic, guitar-based blend of post-hardcore/punk, and heavy rock/grunge, with undertones of old-school funk bass grooves and 90s college rock.
The band has been compared to an array of artists and genres including Queens of the Stone Age, Quicksand, Nirvana, PJ Harvey, Cage the Elephant, the Clash, Tool, Weezer, and Refused. The undeniable chemistry of its core members is a true triad of collaboration. At the helm is the dynamic Lucy Di Santo, wielding her vocals and bass guitar with unmatched prowess; she’s flanked by the rhythmical brilliance of Dan Cornelius on drums and the melodic artistry of Steve Fall on guitars. ON’s pedigree includes the popular 90’s Sire/Warner recording act ACID TEST and Bad Taste Records’ DANKO JONES.
Currently, OUR NOISE (aka ‘ON’) is about to embark on the re-release of its self-titled debut recording with Epictronic Records (Spring, 2024). This will be followed up with American summer and European Fall tours—upcoming dates to be announced.
