ACCEPT Release Thrilling Third New Single ‘Frankenstein’

ACCEPT is gearing up for the release of their new full-length, Humanoid, out this Friday, April 26, 2024, by unleashing the third single “Frankenstein”! The track is an electrifying take on the classic Frankenstein story, featuring a chanting chorus and epic riffs in trademark ACCEPT style, and it comes with an exciting lyric video.

Even after over 40 years, ACCEPT remains one of the leading forces in the worldwide heavy metal scene, performing once again at the most important rock and metal festivals in summer 2024, including legendary Wacken Open Air and Hellfest.

The band will begin their South American headline tour next week! This autumn, European fans will be treated to more than 20 ACCEPT shows across the continent, with Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons and Sister Sin as special guests. Watch the video for “Frankenstein” below, and pre-order your copy of Humanoid now.

ACCEPT on “Frankenstein”:
“The story of Frankenstein is old and yet still relevant. The monster is created without being asked. Frankenstein is a human being and yet he is hated and feared by everyone.”

Once again finalized by leading metal producer Andy Sneap (Judas Priest, Amon Amarth, Testament, Saxon, etc.) at his Backstage Recording Studios Ltd. in Derbyshire, UK, Humanoid is a towering musical achievement and another world class entry in the ACCEPT catalog, certain to rally fans from around the world. Humanoid will be available in various formats worldwide, some of them strictly limited.

Humanoid joins absolute genre classics like Balls To The Wall, certified Gold in USA and Canada, Metal Heart, and newer masterpieces like Blood of the Nations and the #1 charting album Blind Rage. Their albums regularly place in national Top 10 sales charts, with global sales in excess of 17 million to date.

Pre-Order Your Copy of Humanoid NOW

ACCEPT have never shied away from hot button issues, and this album is no exception. Yet the band’s 17th studio album is certainly not a concept album. It deals with topics like AI and how our reliance on technology is gradually stripping away our individuality. ACCEPT offers a warning in this new album and title track single Humanoid. Since singer Mark Tornillo will never be an advocate for the digital age, he counterbalances the title track with raw emotions, frailties, significant Rites of Passage we encounter on the path of life and characteristics that make us uniquely human: feeling uncomfortable, getting older, dealing with hurt, disappointment, and the final stop for everyone: death.

Tracklisting Humanoid:
1             Diving Into Sin
2             Humanoid
3             Frankenstein
4             Man Up
5             The Reckoning
6             Nobody Gets Out Alive
7             Ravages Of Time
8             Unbreakable
9             Mind Games
10           Straight Up Jack
11           Southside Of Hell

Humanoid is a ferociously electrifying, dynamic and subtly nuanced platter with tongue in cheek humor, as heard in biblical references on “The Reckoning” – an ode to concert audiences – a thrilling new spin on the “Frankenstein” story and “Straight Up Jack” – a track that surely would have been a Bon Scott approved drinking song.

The opening track “Diving into Sin” gives listeners a hair-raising energetic jolt with its Middle Eastern influenced intro, and an almost aggressive, screaming vocal from Tornillo setting the rest of the album up for a most bountiful feast. “Unbreakable” is as much about the band as it is the bond between ACCEPT and their fans, in the concert arena – an easy going “Hey, let’s do this” kind of rock song. “Mind Games”, on the other hand, has a vintage feel, circa “Metal Heart”. “No One Gets Out Alive” seems tailor made for live shows. It says that regardless of life’s circumstances, rich, famous, or not, death is the great equalizer. Upbeat and aggressive with guitar interplay, “Southside Of Hell” ends the disc with a wonderful bit of wordplay, courtesy of Tornillo.

Humanoid is an album that targets the head, heart, gut and… balls! Listen for yourself!

HAIL SPIRIT NOIR Return with New Album “Fossil Gardens” & Single ‘The Temple Of Curved Space’

Greek psychedelic prog/black metal experimentalists HAIL SPIRIT NOIR unveil details of their long awaited fifth studio album “Fossil Gardens”, which constitutes the successor to “Eden In Reverse” from 2020. The album – set for release on June 28th via Agonia Records – is foreshadowed by a new single “The Temple Of Curved Space”, which is being premiered now, below:

“Fossil Gardens” is an intense and soul-elevating experience; a musical journey to the unmistakable world of HAIL SPIRIT NOIR, and its most extreme effort to date. The band’s signature sound, defined by otherworldly melodies, vintage synths and compositional experimentation, is once again present, yet shifting towards black metal instrumentation and chaotic soundscapes, reaching next-level psychedelia.

Long time partner Dimitris Douvras (Rotting Christ, Nightstalker) and Magnus Lindberg, member of Cult of Luna and world renowned mastering engineer, handled the production duties, crafting a warm and solid sound that perfectly reverberates the band’s abstract vision. The visual side of the album was portrayed by George Baramatis (cover artwork) and Dimitris Katsenos (additional art and layout).

Taking up where “Eden in Reverse” left off, the album, thematically, focuses on the philosophical and scientific struggle to unravel the secrets of the universe and reach new states of consciousness that defy the limits of space and time.

Haris (synths) had this to say about “Fossil Gardens”: “This time we went more extreme than ever before, we used lots of blasts, screams and minimal black metal textures. Even so, I believe this is a positive album, since it revolves around the charm of our cosmos and the transcendence of space and time. Having this on mind, we went for a solid yet abstract sound production, meaning that we wanted the listener to perceive the music as a whole, not as the sum of individual parts and instruments. Some may find it different than our previous album, but if you watch closely, you’ll notice the extreme similarities.”

The group was established late 2010 as a trio and issued their debut album “Pneuma” two years later. Its warm reception strengthened the band’s experimental approach and enhanced its quirky take on music, all of which inevitably led to the release of “Oi Magoi” in 2014; a psychedelic prog-black metal opus of trippy melodies and satyric aura. Followed by “Mayhem In Blue” in 2016, the band’s signature sound was solidified, and at the same time expanded into more aggressive territories, without abandoning the group’s trademark psychedelic-infused melodies. Since 2018, the trio has been joined full-time by its live members, changing the band into a sextet. Their last album, 2020’s “Eden In Reverse”, was lauded as the next step in their ongoing evolution, with an 80s twist. In 2021, HAIL SPIRIT NOIR celebrated their 10th anniversary with a one-off, disco-driven soundtrack, “Mannequins”, which darignly plunged into synthwave & sci-fi pop aesthetics, having strayed away from the band’s typical release path.

Tracklisting:
1. Starfront Promenade
2. The Temple of Curved Space
3. Curse you, Entropia
4. The Blue Dot
5. The Road to Awe
6. Ludwig in Orbit
7. Fossil Gardens

Line-up:
Theoharis – guitars, vocals
Haris – synths
Demian – bass, guitar solos
Foivos Chatzis – drums
Dimitris Dimitrakopoulos – clean vocals

Following in the body-strewn footsteps of last year’s Bazookiller EP, Spain’s HOLYCIDE are back with their third full length album – Towards Idiocracy! While Bazookiller was undoubtedly a hard hitting release in its own right, Towards Idiocracy sees Holycide reaching new war torn peaks of intensity with this full force thrash metal nuclear attack. If you thought you knew what Holycide were capable of then think again – the bar has just been raised to unprecedented heights. It’s time to march on Towards Idiocracy…

Since their blistering Toxic Mutation EP back in 2015, Holycide have held the banner high for uncompromising, undiluted thrash metal – in the words of the mighty Exodus, “100% all out nothing less, aggressive relentless and mean”. Like no other band in the modern age, Holycide’s dedication to thrash is absolute and with their third full length album, Towards Idiocracy, they have created a genuine thrash masterpiece. From the opening attack of “A.I. Supremacy” to the last defiant chord of final track “Flamethrower ‘Em All“, via a flawless cover of the Atrophy classic “Chemical Dependency“, Towards Idiocracy is a nirvana of monstrous riffs, relentless drums and a snarling vocal presence that will have the unbelievers running for the hills. A caustic attack on humanity’s pathetic addiction to a shallow, selfish existence, Towards Idiocracy is every bit as vehement in its unforgiving lyrical exhortations as in its rapid fire, twin guitar assault. Holycide are setting the standards for thrash in 2024!

Still bonded by blood with Xtreem Music, Holycide will unleash the fistful of metal that is Towards Idiocracy (CD/LP/MC) on June 6th, 2024 – the international day of Slayer. What more fitting release date could there be for an album which is Holycide’s very own Reign In Blood? Their most intense, unyielding, inexorable album to date!

Music for new album was recorded:

  • guitars, bass & drums at Black Night Studios (Palma de Mallorca),
  • vocals at Sanctuary Studios (Madrid).

Produced and arranged by Vicente J. Payá at Black Night Studios. All was mixed by Javier Fernández Milla at Montseny Studios (Angelus Apatrida, Avulsed) and mastered by Davide Billia at MK2 Recording Studio (Antropofagus, Beheaded). Vividly violent artwork was done by Daemorph Art (The Black Dahlia Murder, Vulvodynia, Bodyfarm). Band photo by Lucretia Morti.

Available today on all streaming platforms is “L’illuminato e il folle”, the new single by I VEGGENTI, an intriguing Italian band that creatively blends psychedelic, blues-rock, stoner, and progressive elements in their sound. The song carries a strong vintage 1970s influence, both in its composition and sound design.

According to the band, it explores the aspects of duality inherent in everyone. “Just as good and evil are the center of balance in the universe, at the same time, each person walks on a thin line that determines genius and madness, enlightenment and folly” – I Veggenti

“Walkin’ On The Edge” by the legendary ARADIA is out now! Here is the full album, from one of the most fascinating bands on the Italian NHOBHM circuit! After the huge success of the single “Sad Time,” here’s the band at the height of their abilities and ideas! A fresh album, full of grit, musical adventures and much more!

In November 2019, Como guitarist Francesco Rasero decided to start a new musical project inspired by melodic metal and hard rock. Needless to say, the difficulties due to the 2020 pandemic also slowed down the birth of Aradia. The official lineup consists of : Stefano Cheville Perini ( vocals ) Francesco Rasero ( lead and rhythm guitar ) Marco Hellion Gilardoni ( lead and rhythm guitar ) Andrea Fumagalli ( bass guitar ) Cristian Sampietro ( drums ) Special mention : Paolo Gilardoni ( bass) who was a founder but had to leave the project due to family commitments During the first 2 years of activity despite the periods of stop already mentioned, the band cut its teeth jammando on classics by Iron Maiden, Saxon and Judas Priest ( but also Motley Crue ) and soon the need to write their own music was born.
