Dungeon synth master MORTIIS is pleased to welcome BRIGHTER DEATH NOW as direct support for the upcoming North American “The Dungeons are Calling” headlining tour, who will be performing parts of his “Necrose Evangelicum” album from 1995 for this tour for the first time! The band will join from the tour kickoff through the Los Angeles stop on September 21. Local openers will also be added, which are handpicked by Mortiis himself!
In addition, a performance has been added to Albuquerque, NM to the previously announced routing and has updated venues in Los Angeles, CA and Houston, TX. The tour will be in celebration of MORTIIS’ seminal 1993 album, ‘Født Til Å Herske,’ which played a significant role in popularizing the dungeon synth genre and was re-recorded in 2023. The new itinerary can be found below while tickets can be found HERE.
MORTIIS live soundscape will be accompanied with visuals created by renowned artist and illustrator David Thierree, known for his work with Mortiis, Behemoth, and others.
MORTIIS comments:
“The circle comes unbroken once more, as we’ve evoked the ghosts of ‘Født Til Å Herske’ and ‘Necrose Evangelicum.’ I’m beyond excited to have reconnected with Roger Karmanik, in this quest to reawaken our shared past of a quarter century ago. I have reinforced, and iron-clad the sound of ‘Født Til Å Herske,’ while the sound of Brighter Death Now´s ‘Necrose Evangelicum’ will send your soul screaming into oblivion.”
Roger Karmanik of BRIGHTER DEATH NOW adds:
“Life just turns in the most curious ways! Heading off on a US-tour with my old friend Håvard is one of these. Releasing 3 of his early albums on my label Cold Meat Industry in the 90’s as well as having Mortiis as cooperation on the Brighter Death Now album ‘Necrose Evangelicum’ leaves no better option than to reinvent this for me groundbreaking album and to perform it live for the first time ever. Death Industrial meets Dark Dungeon! Free your soul, let the body burn!”
Previously announced support for the tour includes Sombre Arcane (September 4-17), Malfet (September 14 – 28), and appearances by Fogweaver in Denver, CO and Albuquerque, NM.

BraveWords Records is excited to announce the signing of Crimson Glory. Alongside mainstay founding members Ben, Jeff and Dana, the band announced in 2023 the addition of amazing new vocalist Travis Wills and guitarist Mark Borgmeyer to take Crimson Glory into 2024 and beyond. A new album is planned for 2025 via BraveWords Records. “Metal” Tim Henderson from BraveWords Records, “What an incredible moment for BraveWords Records! Signing the legendary cyber metallers Crimson Glory as they resurrect their unstoppable career. Fans are in for such a tremendous treat as they unveil their futuristic sound and vision in 2024!”
Ben Jackson of Crimson Glory adds, “I am letting everyone know how proud and excited we are to be working with Bravewords Records. Their team is outstanding! The new album is coming out killer and has similarities to the first 2 records while displaying a modernized feel.”
Crimson Glory leader singer Travis Willis, “Becoming the new singer for Crimson Glory has been very humbling. Never in a million years would I have ever dreamed I would be singing for one of my very favorite bands I listened to as a kid, with posters on my wall. It’s still surreal to me, just crazy. Sometimes, when I pause, when all the noise has receded, I sit back and it hits me….dude, you’re singing for Crimson Glory! My pledge to all the fans, I’ll do my very best to dutifully recreate the magic and melody of Crimson Glory. I see it is an honor and a privilege and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of bringing it all back to life.”
Crimson Glory vocalist Travis Wills offers a sing through video of some of the band’s classics:

About Crimson Glory:
Crimson Glory, an American heavy metal band that formed in 1983 in Sarasota, Florida, USA. Their journey began in 1979 under the name Pierced Arrow, then evolved into Beowulf, before they finally settled on Crimson Glory. The classic line-up featured vocalist Midnight, guitarists Jon Drenning and Ben Jackson, bass guitarist Jeff Lords, and drummer Dana Burnell. With this line-up, they rose to international fame in the mid-1980s and were considered one of the pioneers of the American progressive metal movement, alongside bands like Queensrÿche, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, and Watchtower. Throughout their career, we released four studio albums and one EP.
SUMMONING THE LICH has today shared a new single and music video, Return to the Soil, from their forthcoming sophomore album, Under the Reviled Throne.Return to the Soil is the second track to be taken from Under the Reviled Throne and follows the St. Louis, Missouri technical death metal groups recent US touring in support in of Vale of Pnath and Abigail Williams. Under the Reviled Throne will be released via Prosthetic Records on July 26.
Speaking on the new single and music video, David Bruno (vocals) comments: “We open up our second album with Return To The Soil, which is fitting because it was one of the first songs we really nailed down when we were first crafting Under The Reviled Throne. It describes the Lich’s journey into the wastes as he and his mighty army begin their quest to dominate the continent. Also there are witches, and I love writing songs about witches”
After three years of extensive US touring and shows with the likes of Allageon, Gorod and Inferi among others, as well as headline stints, SUMMONING THE LICH set about bringing Under the Reviled Throne to life. Intended as a death metal equivalent to The Empire Strikes Back in scope, the group set their sights on raising the stakes in both story and songwriting.
SUMMONING THE LICH took the considered approach of eschewing superfluous technicality in favor of a leaner and more streamlined focus on song structure. Each of the tracks on Under the Reviled Throne were written with the purpose of guiding the listener through the eponymous Lich’s descent into misanthropy and tyranny, without sacrificing their idiosyncratic sound.
This balancing act of dexterity and structure is exemplified best on cuts like Return to the Soil and lead single, My Horrors Unending. The latter of which succinctly merges SUMMONING THE LICH’s inclination for extremity and stop and start dynamics with rhythmic pummelling and memorable hooks.
With Arrias under existential threat, Under the Reviled Throne is a dazzlingly ambitious tale of hope and resistance in the form of its protagonist Taane (introduced on previously released album track, The Forest Feasts). Elsewhere, The Carrion Fleet’s narrative of the city of Bastell succumbing to flames at the hands of the Lich’s army ushers in the ominously brooding.
Upping the stakes to dizzying heights, SUMMONING THE LICH offers plenty in the way of light among the shadowy figures that lurk within the Lich’s universe of malevolent chaos. All is not lost.
SUMMONING THE LICH tour dates: July 27 – Red Flag – St. Louis, MO (Under the Reviled Throne album release show)
Under The Reviled Throne tracklist: 1. Return to the Soil 2. Reviled Crystal Wielders 3. The Forest Feasts 4. My Horrors Unending 5. Bastell Dirge 6. The Carrion Fleet 7. Arrias Groans 8. Will to Survive 9. Potion Seller 10. The Void Gate 11. Praise to the Bog

Mystification Zine is hosting the exclusive premiere of “Traitor”, the latest single from Indonesian death metal squad CRANIAL DISORDER. Stream it HERE.
The band have signed to Lethal Scissor Records for the release of their debut album “Congenital Depravity”, due out on July 10th 2024.
The fresh eight track offering “Congenital Depravity” marks the outfit’s Lethal Scissor Records debut, and is the successor to their acclaimed “PromoSick 2022” demo. Formed in 2019, CRANIAL DISORDER has brought a breath of fresh air to the scene and has delighted fans and underground connoisseurs alike.
With this album, CRANIAL DISORDER continue to sharpen their sound, which faithfully captures the essence of late ‘90s and early 2000’s brutal death metal. The band’s influences are no secret, but rattling off a list of classic death metal influences doesn’t do justice to the impact that CRANIAL DISORDER achieve with their music, a sound that is as relentless as it is morbid.
The songs are generally aggressive and pummeling, leaving the listener with little or no respite from the assault, but even at breakneck speed, there’s a compositional intricacy on display. Riff is piled upon monstrous riff and razor-wire solos slice, gleaming, through filth as CRANIAL DISORDER bring us a new level of sickening death metal power.

Following the release of INFECTED RAIN‘s much acclaimed sixth studio offering TIME (released in February 2024 via Napalm Records HERE), and while they are gearing up for a current, busy summer touring schedule, the Moldovan modern progressive metal act has announced a European tour as special guests of ELUVEITIE, kicking off in early 2025! Find all dates listed below, and tickets are now on sale!
In support of their upcoming live appearances, the band has just unleashed a new music video for the powerful track“PANDEMONIUM”!
“We are so happy to present the music video for PANDEMONIUM, a track from our latest album, TIME,” the band comments. “This song dives deep into the chaos of our world, and the video reflects that intensity. Consider it a dark, thrilling gift from us to you, and a perfect warm-up before our SUMMER TIME TOUR in Europe. Brace yourselves and enjoy PANDEMONIUM!”
Following their 2022 album Ecdysis – which garnered prime media acclaim, hundreds of thousands of streams and views, and debuted in the Top 20 on the US Current Hard Music charts – INFECTED RAIN climbs even higher with TIME. On the album, INFECTED RAIN exercise their trademarks, tastefully accenting the introspective musical journey with effectively-placed progressive, electronic and even nu-metal features amid ethereal passages. The album was once again produced, mixed and mastered by Valentin Voluta, and combines the deft talents of returning members Vidick (guitars, cover artist), Eugene Voluta (drums) and famed frontwoman Lena Scissorhands (vocals), plus introduces new member Alice Lane (bass) to the fold.
Blabbermouth called the album “exceptional”, while New Noise Magazine has dubbed it “the band’s heaviest material yet”. Metal Hammer Germany said TIME is the band’s “strongest album to date”, and UK’s Devolution Magazine wrote “‘TIME’ could well be an album of the year!”
“TIME is not just an album, it’s a journey, a testament to our evolution as INFECTED RAIN.” The band said. “Time isn’t just a measure; it’s an ever-flowing river, a constant reminder of our fleeting moments and enduring legacies. This subject resonates deeply throughout the record, offering to you a chance to reflect on the past, embrace the present, and dream of the future. With TIME, we invite you to experience the phenomena of time with us, in all its haunting beauty and raw power.”
Tracks such as “BECAUSE I LET YOU” burst in with undeniable energy, boasting aggressive lyrics and Lena Scissorhands’ swift, menacing delivery, before “DYING LIGHT” marches with subterranean heaviness and rhythmic grooves beneath eerie vocals and keys, and even snaps into an EDM passage, showcasing the dynamic delivery of the band in 2024. Melodic ode to self-empowerment “LIGHTHOUSE” then crashes in to juxtapose soft verses and intense auditory shifts. Album standout and djent driven “VIVARIUM” warns of society’s fickle freedoms as Lena Scissorhands delivers some of the album’s most hair-raising screams amid a haunting, ominous atmosphere, while fast-paced burners like “THE ANSWER IS YOU” and “ENMITY” flash between various EDM, synthwave and even drum and bass brushed transits amid bludgeoning rhythms. Intense “GAME OF BLAME” explores themes of hypocrisy and emotional pain delved out by those we love while boasting one of the album’s most searing breakdowns, while tracks like “PANDEMONIUM” and “UNPREDICTABLE” detail the uncontrollable energy of the future and past, respectively – boasting lofty, angelic verses with hard-hitting guitars and punching drums. Italian/English-language journey “PAURA” closes out the album with a path to self-discovery – beckoning the listener to understand that we limit ourselves with our own fears, and must harness the pain to overcome. TIME ends in a state of calm with ambient finisher “A SECOND OR A THOUSAND YEARS” – drawing the curtains closed on yet another fantastic, experimental expedition by rising stars INFECTED RAIN!
