KICKIN VALENTINA released yesterday, April 19th, their fourth full-length album, titled “Star Spangled Fist Fight”. Ten bullets of loud, unapologetic rock’n’roll are fired aiming the hearts and jugulars of all hard rock fans with a sleaze rock fallout. And, with an almost cynical precision, the four guys in Kickin Valentina, knock each and every one of us with catchy choruses, indecently strong riffs and a sexy rhythm groove that’s almost pornographic.

Once again, the album was produced by Andy Reilly (UFO, Bruce Dickinson, Cradle of Filth) at Muse Productions in Atlanta, and mastered by Joel Wanasek. “It’s been way too long since our last album, and we are really excited about “Star Spangled Fist Fight.””, bassist Chris Taylor states. “I know every band says this, but I think this is our best album so far. Everything just seemed to click while we were writing it”.

Kickin Valentina still plays the proverbial loud unapologetic rock’n’roll in 2024, as the band enters the second decade of its existence. Except that “Star Spangled Fist Fight” is a bit louder and a bit more unapologetic.

Formed in 2013, the Americans quickly gained attention in the U.S. and abroad. They were immediately picked up by Atlanta-based indie label Highway 9 Records and released their debut self-titled EP in October 2013. In August 2015 Kickin Valentina signed with Danish hard rock/metal label Mighty Music, and has released since then three successful full-length albums – “Super Atomic,” “Imaginary Creatures,” “Revenge of Rock” – and an EP titled “Chaos in Copenhagen” to rave reviews around the world.

Their album “Imaginary Creatures” debuted on 5 different Billboard charts (Heatseeker Albums #16, Heatseekers South Atlantic #5, Independent Albums #30, Hard Rock Album Sales #11, and Rock Album Sales #42), and the single “Crazy” reached #15 on the Danish iTunes rock charts. “Revenge of Rock” debuted at #6 on the Danish vinyl chart, and “Chaos in Copenhagen” debuted at #27 on Denmark’s top 100 album sales chart.

New London hardcore powerhouse False Reality have dropped a video for ‘Pressure’ and released their new EP The Path to Self Destruct.

On the EP, vocalist Rachel Rigby comments: “Path of Self Destruct has been a long time coming but we are so happy to finally be able to share it with everyone and we are eternally grateful for the reaction it has had since it’s release. This EP feels like home to us. We have each got such a varied taste and a huge appreciation for so many genres within heavy music so this has allowed us to create our own sound by pulling in all influences of what made us want to start a band to begin with. It delves into a wide range of emotions such as coping with the loss of a loved one, feeling unheard, and being underestimated. We’ve put our souls into this and it’s already inspired us to create whatever will come next.”

Having recorded The Path to Self Destruct with producer Steve Sears Jr (Gallows, TRC, Prowler, Conjurer) the band are set out to prove why they stand apart, delivering a release that is in equal parts blistering as it is poetically cathartic. The EP lyrically delves into the complexities of life, exploring themes of betrayal, societal values, and tragedy. The EP features previous single ‘Opposites React‘, a groove driven, empowering track that features vocals from Jem of Aussie hardcore band Speed.

Comprised of individuals deeply rooted in the underground music scene, False Reality are a London-based hardcore band that formed in 2023. Renowned for their thrash infused, hardcore crossover sound and fiercely energetic performances they draw influences from bands such as Trapped Under Ice, Broken Teeth and Backtrack as well as early era Sepultura and even Deftones.

False Reality have carved out a distinct identity, leaving an imprint on audiences who have witnessed their performances. Having already shared the stage with the likes of Speed, Jesus Piece, Madball, Buried Alive and Static Dress, garnering support both locally and nationally, False Reality are solidifying their status as one of the most exciting acts in the UK heavy music scene.

“My Life” flips a complete 180 degrees emerging out of the darkness from “The Madness.” Beyond Unbroken combines infectious melodies, heavy rhythms, and thought-provoking lyrics to create a powerful anthem exploring the nuances of the human condition. Their latest single captures a message of hope and renewal through energetic guitars, pulsating synthesizers, and driving rhythms, the track invites listeners on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
In their own words, “My life is about living in the present and embracing life as it is, learning to let go in order to move forward instead of holding onto all our grudges. Time is precious, and “life could be better” “if I stop to see” and realize that these are moments we should all cherish. In a world of boundaries Beyond Unbroken refuses to be defined by one genre. Founded by former Escape The Fate members, brothers Monte and Michael Money, the band habitually crosses the lines, mixing genres the way an artist mixes paint with results that often defy expectation.

They released their first single “Under Your Skin” in 2015 and debuted their first independent EP Don’t Wake The Dead in 2017 with producer Matt Good of From First To Last. The EP was well received with the animated video “Overdose” earning millions of views upon release. Their first debut album, Running Out of Time, followed in 2020 with singles earning millions of streams and premiering on Alt Press.

On April 29, 2020, the band covered Lil Peep and Twenty One Pilots mashup, “Falling Down + Heathens” and it remains the band’s most streamed track to this day. In 2021 the band released a one-off single “With Or Without Me” on the FiXT Radium Compilation which eventually led to the band signing with the label in 2023.

Last Temptation: Ready to Ignite the Stage with Their Highly Anticipated Third Album

The first step has been brilliantly accomplished; now, Last Temptation is poised to unleash the crowds. After two successful albums and accolades from numerous magazines, as well as performances alongside legendary groups like Dream Theater and appearances at prestigious festivals such as Hellfest, the band founded by guitarist Peter Scheithauer (Killing Machine, Belladonna, Temple of Brutality) is gearing up to embark on the next phase of their musical career in the summer of 2024.

In 2021, Last Temptation signed a contract with Golden Robot Records and released their second album, “Fuel For My Soul,” in May 2022. “With ‘Fuel For My Soul,’ we solidified our identity in a darker, more stoner-oriented style,” says Peter Scheithauer. Opening for bands such as Scorpions, Ayron Jones, Black Label Society, Status Quo, as well as performing on the Mainstage at Hellfest in 2023, confirmed this evolution.

Early 2023 marked a major turning point for the group with a lineup change. Forged by his years in the band Annihilator, the talented Fabio Alessandrini now takes the drum throne. A familiar face from the 2022 tours with Ayron Jones and Scorpions, Franz OA Wise (Hellbats) officially takes over bass duties in Last Temptation. Lastly, it’s now Loup Malevil (Sabotage) who adds his melodic and charismatic voice to the mix, infusing the music with raw energy and contagious joy. Saddle up! Because this cowboy promises you one heck of a ride.

“The variety of musical styles we’re exploring now is broader than ever,” explains Peter. “With Loup and Fabio joining us, we’ve found a new dynamic that translates into more festive tracks and catchy lyrics.“

The new lineup had a successful debut opening for the Hollywood Vampires at the Zénith in Paris on June 25, 2023, where the audience embraced and appreciated some of the new compositions and the stage quality of the newcomers. The band, more united than ever, is eager to present their new album on stage, with a release date set for September 13, 2024. Peter Scheithauer unveils: “Our classic sound is still there, but with a touch of novelty. Imagine the current energy fused with the power of American hard rock from the 70s and 80s… That’s the new Last Temptation formula.”

BLUES PILLS Release Catchy New Single ‘Don’t You Love It’ for Record Store Day

Swedish rock ‘n’ roll band Blues Pills deliver catchy new track Don’t You Love It from their forthcoming album Birthday. The song will also be released on a limited split 12” with album title track Birthday, exclusively for Record Store Day 2024 on April 20th.

A stompin’ anthem to get the party started, Don’t You Love It is about living in the now and trying to have fun “You’ve gotta let that sh*t go” states frontwomen Elin “When life is hard, but you let things go and find the positives. Don’t take life so seriously, just go for the ride and let loose.”

You can hear influences from The Rolling Stones to Patti Smith, with a driving infectious bassline courtesy of Kristoffer Schander. Elin, sometimes channelling Brody Dalle other times more Janis Joplin, delivers her own effortless charism a and charm on this poppy number.

It’s rare for Blues Pills to be so upbeat “we have a lot of depressing lyrics, we have a lot of depressed sounding songs, but this is a song to dance to!” continues Elin. “It’s a breakout for us to have such a positive song!” agrees Zack (guitarist).

Don’t You Love It was written at home in Elin’s living room, “We were feeling good, Blues Pills are in a good place, and we wrote the lyrics based on that feeling.” Zack and Elin are both feeling positive about Blues Pills “I’m having fun” says Elin giggling. “It’s some thing that came with age” states Zack“ We’ve been a band for a long time and with this album, and at this point, it’s firstly about having fun making music. In the earlier days there was a lot of pressure, now we’ve let all that go.”

This is a song to shake it to, shake your booty or shake your tambourine, either is great with Blues Pills – “Our drummer André” Elin reminisces laughing “When we were in the studio, he’d have this really serious look on his face, then he’d say, what do you think about a tambourine on this song? Or, I have an idea, do you think this is a tambourine song?”
Zach continues smiling: “When the whole band is trying to crack the code of what the song is missing, André looks up and said, ‘Do you guys think there should be a tambourine here?’”
“Don’t You Love some serious tambourine?” Elin says laughing.

And what do Blues Pills love these days?
Elin: “Everything happened so fast in our early 20’s with the band, we had no experience, now we’re just enjoying. Now we’re doing press releases, yesterday I was doing babyswim. Then I’m changing diapers.”
“Don’t you love it?” asks Zack laughing “That’s what makes it more fun now you realise there’s more to life than just music, there’s more to life than just the band. There’s so much more we love in life now.”
