“Oblivion’s Legacy” is a conceptual work that delves into the profound depths of human existence, exploring the legacy we leave behind as individuals and as a species. The lyrics contemplate the impact of our actions, the struggles we face, and the ultimate fate that awaits us all.

On their 45th anniversary as a band, Iconic British Heavy Metallers DEMON are excited to announce the release of their new studio album, aptly titled “Invincible”, set to be released on May 17th, available to pre-order here: https://orcd.co/demoninvincible
Considered one of the leading bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), Demon are also unveiling the first single and video, “Face the Master,” which is out today and available on all digital platforms.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song’s writing process, vocalist and founder Dave Hill says, “The song was written by Neil Ogden and myself, who have always been fans of classic horror films, from Dracula to the Exorcist, Salem to Lot to Nightmare on Elm Street, where there always seems to be an uncontrollable Power of the Master throughout.”
Offering a sound that melts their classic root Hard Rock approach with the Progressive and Epic overtones of their mid 80’s album, “Invincible” is an absolute stunner of an album which is going to make long-time aficionados very excited along with all the fans of such bands as Magnum, Uriah Heep or classic Rainbow.
Dave Hill’s raspy and soulful vocals may be the common denominator since the band’s inception, but Demon are possibly one of the few bands who have managed to maintain their signature sound during years and update it in the new century, still maintaining the taste for a ghoulish image and elegant music. “Invincible” was written and produced by Dave Hill and drummer Neil Ogden, and Dave Cotterill and Paul Hume are on guitars, Paul Fasker Johnson is on bass, and Karl Waye is on keyboards, completing the lineup.
Formed in 1979 by vocalist David Hill, Demon released their debut album, Night of the Demon, in 1981. After their 1982 follow-up album, The Unexpected Guest, the band experimented beyond the NWOBHM sound. They moved towards a more melodic direction while retaining the traditional heavy metal black magic lyrical style. They took another change in direction in 1983 with “The Plague”. It marked a swing towards a more progressive sound, adding the keyboards of session musician Andy Richards to the album’s sound. Lyrically, the band also changed direction, switching to a more overtly political style that characterised their albums for the rest of their career.
Heart of Our Time (1985) was the start of a new songwriting partnership between Hill and the new keyboardist Steven Watts. The album paved the way for the critically acclaimed Breakout (1987) and its follow-up, Taking the World by Storm (1989). Demon released two more albums in the 1990s: 1991’s Hold On to the Dream and 1992’s Blow Out, before splitting up in 1992. Hill reunited the band with new members in 2001 and released a new album called Spaced Out Monkey. The band has since released three more albums: Better the Devil You Know (2005), Unbroken (2012), and Cemetery Junction, released on 28 October 2016.

Legendary UK metal giants ORANGE GOBLIN are back with details of their long awaited new studio album Science, Not Fiction, set for release on 19th July.
To accompany the announcement, the band have shared their new single “(Not) Rocket Science” – a matter of fact observation on the human tendency to over-complicate life – alongside a swirling animated lyric video by Matthew Vickerstaff.
Speaking on the track, frontman and lyricist Ben Ward says “It’s basically saying that life can be pretty simple and straightforward if you just stop wasting your time and make each day count. Be prepared to work hard, don’t expect any hand outs and basically enjoy yourself along the way. When Chris came up with the music he said it needed something that could be delivered in a Bon Scott / Lemmy style and I think it came out really well”.
Science, Not Fiction was recorded at Woodworm Studios UK in late 2023, with production and mixing duties carried out by Grammy winning producer Mike Exeter (most notable for his work with Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Tony Iommi) and mastering conducted by the esteemed Peter Hewitt-Dutton at The Bakery in LA.
From the explosive death-boogie of opener “The Fire At The Centre Of The Earth Is Mine” onwards, the band’s tenth album crackles with energy and belligerence. Following the departure of long serving bassist Martyn Millard in 2020, Orange Goblin welcomed close friend Harry Armstrong (formerly Hangnail) into the fray, making Science, Not Fiction his first studio outing with the band. With the new line-up fizzing with chemistry, the hard rocking likes of “(Not) Rocket Science”, “The Fury Of A Patient Man” and “The Justice Knife” breathe new life into some classic Orange Goblin tropes. Meanwhile, twisted prog-doom detours like “False Hope Diet” and “Cemetary Rats” take the Londoners into epic new territory, with everything from skull-shattering punk ‘n’ roll to transcendent space rock hurled into the swirling brew.
“It is a continuation of what we’ve been doing, and that’s because when we write, it’s a big mixing bowl of all of our influences and favourite artists, and we try and create the perfect band that we always wanted to hear,” Ben states. “This album, it’s just more accomplished and mature, I guess. None of us are spring chickens anymore and we’ve got ten albums under our belts now. I feel like we’re more professional in the recording studio, I feel like we’re better musicians and writers, and now with me looking after myself, I feel like my performance is better as well. It’s all moving in the right direction.”
For the last 30 years, Orange Goblin, London-based hard rock lifers, have tirelessly flown the flag for balls-out heavy metal and maximum rock ‘n’ roll. Driven by passion, persistence and heartfelt love for metal’s dark magic, Orange Goblin have always been a vital force and a risk-free bet. But while some may be content to trade on past glories, Orange Goblin view heavy metal as a lifelong pursuit. In 2024, they open a new chapter in their heroic saga, marking it with the release of their tenth studio album: Science, Not Fiction.

Rome-based hard rock unit SONS OF THUNDER are thrilled to share their new single “Stronghead”. The song is taken from the band’s new album “Thunderhood”, outon May 3rd 2024 via Time To Kill Records.
“‘Stronghead’ is the second single taken from our upcoming debut album, out soon via Time To Kill Records. We are really proud to drop this track – it’s one of the first ones we ever wrote and it’s the perfect sequel to ‘No Fear, No Pain, No Gain’. The song’s about rebirth, that moment when you finally rise again after a fall. You gotta have a ‘strong head’ and never give up; that’s what makes the difference, listening to the call of what we love to get back on track and continue our journey. Our journey? It’s towards Rock’n’Roll! Our hope is that people who listen to this song feel stronger, find that push to get back on their feet, as it happened to us many times while listening to our favorite songs. Remember your roots and reach for the stars!”.

SONS OF THUNDER were born in Rome in 2017 and debuted as a live band, starting to perform in most Italian clubs, making space within the local underground. Thanks to their overwhelming live energy and a first successful demo, they guarantee the growing interest of the public and professionals.
In 2021 they entered the Kick Recording Studio, under the expert guidance of Marco “Cinghio” Mastrobuono (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance, Nanowar Of Steel, Shores Of Null) and Matteo Gabbianelli (Kutso, Payback), to record their first single and completed at Bloom Recording Studio their debut album: a true Hard Rock manifesto of 11 songs.
Proudly derivative but never banal, inspired by the sounds of classic bands such as AC/DC and Motörhead, SONS OF THUNDER will certainly also be appreciated by fans of contemporary hard rock (Airbourne, Thundermother, The Darkness, Volbeat, Turbonegro), thanks also an audio production that winks at the Northern European musical panorama.
Mr. Jon Zazula (leader of Megaforce Records, responsible for the success of bands like Metallica, Anthrax and Mercyful Fate) describes SONS OF THUNDER as “AC/DC on steroids”, underlining how the band manages to maintain a strong identity while making clear their musical influences.
In 2021 the band released the official video for the debut single “Turn It Up”, produced by the Sanda Movies team (Nuclear Blast, Metal Blade, Spinefarm Records), receiving excellent feedback (150+ Youtube comments and over 7,000 unique viewers in first hours of publication). The song was included in the Heavy Rotation of Radio Rock FM 106.600, a historic broadcaster in central Italy with over 140,000 daily listeners, remaining in the ranking of the most voted singles for over a month. The same fate awaits the second single, “Thunderhood”, accompanied by a memorable lyric video. The relationship with the historic Roman broadcaster is consolidated with interviews and live sets on the radio also during the fundraising for AIL Roma.
In 2022, with the regular resumption of live shows, SONS OF THUNDER perform for the Radio Rock 106.6 fm party, opening for the legendary punk band Klaxon, at the Frantic Festival (along with Doyle from Misfits, Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin, Benediction, Godflesh and many others) as well as direct support for the Tygers Of Pan Tang Italian tour.
In 2023 SONS OF THUNDER released an hard rock cover of Tom Jones and Mousse T.’s song “Sex Bomb”.
