The world’s most prominent bass driven instrumental rock act, Australia’s The Omnific, return with their second album, The Law Of Augmenting Returns, an audacious and magnificent triumph – to be released on 7th June 2024 via Wild Thing Records.

Pre-Order/Pre-Save: ffm.to/lawofaugmentingreturns

The Omnific are also celebrating the release of their latest single and album lead – the nostalgic and heroic adventure of ‘Base Camp’, and newly minted EU/UK Tour for July & August 2024.

The Law Of Augmenting Returns explores the notion that the more effort you invest in your artistry, the greater the rewards you reap. This powerful trinity of bass and drums pushed their creative boundaries to unprecedented heights; a tremendous body of work transpired, traversing the intense, the emotionally charged, and the humorous, appealing to a wide range of musical palates.

Bassist Matt Fack explains, “The Law Of Augmenting Returns is the culmination of the experience and knowledge learnt and embodied in the 8 years of our existence as a band. With our creative mindset to incorporate new ideas adhered to the core principle of bass, this album paints the story of the band’s past, present, and beyond.”

The production team of critically acclaimed debut record Escapades (2021) reassembled for the release, including Adam Bentley (mixing, Arch Echo), Ermin Hamidovic (mastering, Periphery), and Josh Saunders (artwork); with the majority of programming handled by the band’s own Matt Fack.

The origin of ‘Base Camp’ began with an emotional piano motif (the track’s first line heard), later to be adapted for two bass guitars. Bassist Matt Fack was inspired by the heroism of heroes, the adventures they partake, and their inevitable return to ‘Base Camp’. Fack proclaims, “In what could be described, as the defining song of a new era of musical possibilities to come from us, ‘Base Camp’ takes you on a journey to the top of the mountain, and back.” The music video was captured by acclaimed directors Jamie McVicker & Declan Blackall (Plini, The Omnific – ‘Phat Mackerel’), and filmed in Jervis Bay, south of Sydney. Co-director McVicker recollects, “We felt a particular feeling of homecoming as an emotional through-line to the song. The hero returns from their travels, to see a world renewed by the change in consciousness brought on by the adventure”, akin to the story of The Omnific.

American brutal death metal four-piece PATHOLOGY, feat. drummer extraordinaire Dave Astor (ex-cofounder of Cattle Decapitation), is gearing up for a new album release and North American tour this spring. May 17th will see the band return with their twelfth installment and first for Agonia Records, “Unholy Descent”, which is currently being previewed in the form of a single & music video, “Cult of the Black Triangle”, available below. A headlining North American run commencing April 17th will pave the way for the album’s drop date.

“Unholy Descent” is a sinister hybrid of unflinching and delightful aural punishment. The album is replete with razor-sharp guitars and brutish, frog-edged vocals, clipped together by a hard-slamming cascade of tight & taut drumming. With drops of melody seeping into the crevices of PATHOLOGY‘s unremitting charge, these thirteen tales of ancient aliens, demonic powers and social issues, will leave your hearing beaten and bruised in the best way possible.

The relentless wave of sonic devastation of “Unholy Descent” was carefully designed, recorded and mixed at Sharkbite Studios by Zack Ohren (Aborted, All Shall Perish, Decrepit Birth) in June 2023, and aptly mastered by the capable hands of Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Origin, Cannibal Corpse, Cattle Decapitation). The painting which adorns the cover artwork was created by Pär Olofsson (Exodus, Abysmal Dawn, Immolation).

“Unholy Descent” is PATHOLOGY‘s third consecutive album with the same personnel, comprising a proven set of talented death metal mavericks, in the shape of said Dave Astor on drums, Daniel Richardson on guitars, Richard Jackson on bass, and Obie Flett on vocals. The line-up was portrayed in photography by Nikki Astor.

“We are very happy to release this album to the world,” Dave Astor comments. “It delves into conspiracies and ancient mythos, while incorporating new elements to the music. Making this album was incredibly enjoyable, and we hope our fans appreciate it as much as we do.” On the fast-approaching concert dates, Dave adds: “Pathology is thrilled to announce our upcoming spring tour alongside NecroticGoreBeast and Aethereus. Get ready for an unforgettable experience as we hit the road again. Secure your tickets now and join us for an epic night of metal!”

Formed in 2006 by Dave Astor, ex-cofounder of bands like The Locust and Cattle Decapitation, the band has evolved into its strongest lineup, creating a perfect combination of talent. Their music is an intense amalgamation of brutal riffs, crushing drums, and dark imagery, making it impossible to divert one’s attention from their blood-soaked and twisted world of death metal. Their live performances, filled with guttural growls and rumbling grooves, leave both old and new fans captivated by the sheer force of PATHOLOGY‘s music. The band left a trail of triumphant performances across North America, Mexico, Canada, and Europe, sharing the stage with renowned acts (such as Obituary,  Deicide, Nile,  Vader,  Immolation, and Grave, among others). GOMAD! & MONSTER Drop New ‘Stillborn’ Music Video & Single

GOMAD! & MONSTER are an Industrial Rock band from Madrid (Spain). Their sound aims for the perfect synthesis of rock, metal, and electronic music, and they just premiered a new music video and single entitled “Stillborn“. This is the second single & music video taken from their upcoming EP album Sickness which is scheduled to be released on April 26, 2024 via Eclipse Records. The album was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Alejandro Tena (Persefone, Hamlet, Pirate Queen) at Alex Tena Studio, and the music video was directed by Sacra Visuals.

“Stillborn is an introspective song with a deeper message.” says drummer Ivy. “Musically, It’s more melodic and accessible, easy to listen for the general public. This music video aims to graphically represent the sobriety of the song with simple visual resources to deepen in an intimate and personal message focused on very personal reflections, for which many people might feel represented.” Guitarist Doc Inari adds, “This video aims to showcase the more contemplative side of the human mind from a slightly pessimistic yet immensely honest perspective, addressing life’s defeats through acceptance and resignation. It delves into self-abandonment with a focus on naturalness. Simple visuals are employed to emphasize the message and depict the individualistic nature of the lyrics, utilizing rain as a resource to enhance the melancholic character of the message.”

Sickness, the bold new EP by Gomad! & Monster, is an explosion of electronic rock, solidifying the distinct sounds of acidic drum n’ bass, groovy hard rock, techno, and a galvanized hard metal edge sharp as a blade. This record boasts an aesthetic, complicated layering technique that hits us with multiple dimensions masterfully woven into a gorgeous, spectacular chaos. The vocals are robotic and hypnotic, the guitars edgy and exotic. The drums are all blood, guts, and backbone, while the synths create mystery and intrigue. Altogether, the music fashions a techno-mechanistic sense of wild, unbridled, and wonderful passion, reflecting, refracting, and finally glamorizing the seed of hope we are all taught to bury. Thematically, the record marks the third of four in the Apocalypse series, each EP representing one of the four horsemen, yet the music is also a burst of vibrant colors, an emotional kaleidoscope far more explosive than just gloom and doom. In other words, get ready to party in the pit, to dance and fight, to face desolation with defiant liberation. Listen to the record, and listen to it loud. Life is short. Play it. Life is a game. Slay it. Sickness was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Alejandro Tena (Persefone, Hamlet, Pirate Queen) at Alex Tena Studio. The album cover art was designed by Edu Velasco. Sickness will be released on April 26, 2024 by Eclipse Records.

Formed in the summer of 2019, The Lonely Ones are a four piece, vocal-oriented hard rock band with an ear for melody and a taste for success. The group features Marty McCoy on guitar / vocals, Tommy Johnson on drums, Jymmy Tolland on guitar / vocals and Tru Roberts on bass / vocals. Being no strangers to the hardships of the music industry, The Lonely Ones consist of former members of Bobaflex. Together, they knew what they wanted and knew how to get it; by combining their knowledge and experiences to achieve a common goal. With determined perseverance and an energized drive to triumph, they were ready to release their first two singles independently in March of 2020; with the titles “Eternal Sadness” and “The Lonely One.”

A few months after their initial introduction to the world of rock, the band decided to take a major leap of faith and release their re-imagined version of Queen’s classic song “Flash.” There’s always the risk of scrutiny and criticism when it comes to covering classic songs, especially ones that are still regarded with high praise from the still thriving fan base, but the band was confident their rendition would not only honor the original but also garner renewed attention for the hit theme. Any doubts were squashed when the song and video were met with rave reviews, including those of Brian May from Queen and Sam J. Jones, Flash Gordon himself.

Brian May was quoted as saying, “What a fantastic cover! I didn’t realize they were going to go into The Hero and the whole reprise … magnificent!”

Sam J Jones adds, “This is one of the best covers I have ever heard and seen. What a gifted group – The Lonely Ones are for every one of us, from the 1980’s to right now!”

Humbled by the response from fans, listeners and legends in the entertainment industry, the band was spurred on in their pursuit to create groundbreaking original music. In September of 2020, The Lonely Ones released another brand new single titled “Real Big Trouble.” What started out as a fun and creative session quickly turned out to be one of their most rewarding. This is one of the heaviest songs the band has ever written, but it also gives a look into what sounds inspire them, such as Thin Lizzy and Beartooth.

By February of 2021, the band had signed on with Imagen Records and released another single called “Change the Station.” This release had 9 active rock stations add the single in the first week and they were a feature artist on Spotify’s Rock Hard editorial playlist as well as over 100 other playlists in the first week as well.

The next release through Imagen was “Dyin’ All Night Long” in June of 2021. A song about an abusive relationship and how often times excuses are made over and over for that person. The lyrics come from the perspective of a victim having had enough of it.

The band released two more singles titled “Gettin’ High” (2021) and “The Way Out” (2022) via Imagen Records before ultimately going independent.
The band spent the summer of 2022 getting back to the grind and writing new songs. The Lonely Ones’ released “Bedroom Door” in October of 2022.

The Lonely Ones have played shows with Sevendust, Nonpoint, Fozzy, Royal Bliss, Seven Year Witch, Black Top Mojo, September Mourning and many more.

In addition, the band is endorsed by: Orange Amps, Westone Audio, Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Evan’s Heads, Vater Sticks, Ibanez, Frog Amplification, Tech 21 Amplification, Michael Kelly Guitars, SIT Strings, Rare Buzz Effects and Strüng, which is guitar string jewelry that raises money for music education.

OLAMOT Drop New Single ‘Everlasting Chains Of Darkness’, Debut Album “Path of Divinity” Out in April

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 27, 2024
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: OLAMOT. Leave a comment

Italian extreme metal project OLAMOT unveils the new single “Everlasting Chains Of Darkness”. Stream it at THIS LOCATION.

The song is taken from the first full-length album, “Path of Divinity”, out on April 29th 2024 via Lethal Scissor Records.

This is a dark and atmospheric record with thought out structures and variations, trading the straight-forward approach of 2021’s “Realms” EP for a thicker, heavier, and more layered sound. “Path of Divinity” is a captivating blend of modern death metal and atmospheric elements filled with intricate melodies, delivering a haunting and immersive sonic experience. The unrelenting and polished aggression hangs in the balance above dark melodic passages, presenting a dynamic soundscape that serves as the band’s most devastating and focused offering to date.

Tracklist:

01. Eternal Sorrow (Intro)
02. Everlasting Chains Of Darkness
03. Human Cloning Facilities
04. Where Chaos Reigns
05. Behold the Highest Throne
06. Adrenochrome
07. Soul Harvest
08. Luciferic Allegiance
09. All Seeing Eye

Pre-orders here.

OLAMOT started in 2021 from the minds of Daniele Boccali (FICTIO SOLEMNIS) and Edoardo Casini (XENOFACTION, DESOURCE), eager to create a musical concept which develops a story lyrically and conceptually ideated by Edoardo Casini.

The first chapter started in 2022 with the release of “Realms” via Lethal Scissor Records, a highly successful 4 track EP which featured the contribution of many renowned musicians and artists, such as Francesco Ferrini (FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE) and Jei Doublerice (DESPITE EXILE). With this first effort the band told the story of Raziel, an individual who aspires to ally with the Devil to become a divinity himself.

The second album, the full-length “Path of Divinity”, sees the band in a bigger context encompassing 9 songs of extreme brutality. The new chapter of the story, based on Raziel’s quest to escape from Hell, musically further develops the intense and profound layers of sound showcased on the EP.

The whole concept will also be developed through a series of books already being written by Edoardo Casini. The same narrative line will be covered by FICTIO SOLEMNIS’ next albums, where the story will be seen by the perspective of the Angel Metatron.

Line-up:
Daniele Boccali – Songwriting, Rhythm Guitars
Edoardo Casini – Lyrics, Vocal Lines & Concept, Solo Guitars
Matteo “Shade” Vitelli – Vocals
