JUPITER CYCLOPS Announce New Album “One Eye Opens” + Reveal Music Video ‘Who Are They Foolin’?’

Phoenix, Arizona heavy metal band JUPITER CYCLOPS will release their sophomore album, “One Eye Opens”, on November 20th, 2026 via Rockshots Records. Building on the foundations of their 2024 debut, “Age of the UFOnaut”, the band pushes its sound further into classic heavy metal and ’80s territory while retaining the heavy ’70s rock influences at the core of its identity. The album’s first single and opening track, “Who Are They Foolin’?”, is out now.

With “One Eye Opens”, Jupiter Cyclops expand on the sound established with their debut, bringing more of their ’80s influences to the surface. Across eight tracks, the album moves through traditional heavy metal and NWOBHM foundations while exploring proto-thrash, slower melodic songwriting and more atmospheric arrangements.

The album was written against a backdrop of what Jupiter Cyclops sees as a society increasingly shaped by manipulation, control, and fear. Those ideas inform both the title “One Eye Opens” and several of the songs, creating a thematic thread around awareness and the moment when accepted realities begin to be questioned.

Rather than following a single musical formula, the record moves between direct heavy metal, classic hard rock influences, and longer, more developed compositions. It culminates in the 7:39 “The Initiates” before closing with its title track, “One Eye Opens”.

Jupiter Cyclops comments:

“We are ready to unleash the tunes that we’ve been working on over the last couple of years. It will be bigger, heavier, with our most diverse songs yet. The album was written while watching the world lose its humanity in real time. Manipulation, control, fear, and the realization that modern life is built around keeping us asleep. If you follow us, you know we are about big riffs and hooks, and this album is stacked. The album is finally coming, and we can’t wait to share it in full volume.”

Leading the album is its first single, “Who Are They Foolin’?”, a track that introduces the heavier side of the new material.

The song has roots that stretch considerably further back than the album itself. Its original idea was written by bassist Jake Melius when he was just 16 years old before eventually being developed into its present form with Jupiter Cyclops. Written by Melius and guitarist Dustin Lyon with lyrics by Aaron Peltz, the track draws from early thrash while incorporating elements associated with Iron Maiden and Deep Purple.

Musically, “Who Are They Foolin’?” combines heavy riffing with melodic guitar work and Peltz’s commanding vocal delivery. Lyrically, the song functions as Jupiter Cyclops’ protest song, addressing power and the ability of a relatively small group of people to exercise a disproportionate degree of control over others. In that respect, the track provides a direct entry point into the wider themes explored on “One Eye Opens”.

“One Eye Opens” was recorded at The Ripper’s House, produced by Jupiter Cyclops and mixed by Dustin Lyon, with cover artwork by Mashai Fattahi.

Norwegian OSKAAL Sign with Wormholedeath for Release of Debut Full-Length Album “(A)live”

Rising from the heart of Norway’s death metal scene, OSKAAL is proud to announce their signing with Wormholedeath label. Marking a new chapter in their sonic journey, the band is set to unleash their album, “(A)live,” on September 25, 2026.

OSKAAL is an emerging name in Norway’s extreme metal scene. The band delivers a sound that is both ferocious and deliberate. Bridging melody with raw aggression, and chaos with control. Their approach pushes beyond genre boundaries, shaping death metal into something visceral yet meticulously crafted.

At the heart of OSKAAL’s music is a dynamic interplay between melody and rhythm. Songs shift from moments of bleak disintegration to bursts of sheer brutality, laced with sardonic black humor. The rhythm section drives with precision and power, while contrasting guitar styles collide in rare synergy. Analytical and emotive. Technical, yet always serving the song.

Frontman Ole Stensgård commands with a voice that doesn’t just scream, but conjures. He channels something ancient and unsettling, delivering every phrase with a conviction that borders on ritual. His range stretches from guttural depths to piercing shrieks, but it’s the intent behind each sound that leaves a mark. His lyrics explore collapsing realities, forgotten gods, and the thin line between madness and revelation, painting nightmarish visions that feel alive in sound and spirit.

OSKAAL doesn’t follow trends or chase virtuosity for its own sake. Their sound is a carefully balanced blend of aggression and thoughtfulness, carving out a distinctive and compelling voice within the Norwegian and global death metal movement.

Tracklist:

  1. Refused
  2. Slaughter the Divine
  3. Hymn
  4. Death
  5. Sin
  6. Annihilation
  7. Necrosis

OSKAAL Line-up:

French Prog Visionaries HYPNO5E Reveal New Single & Video ‘Molecular Angel’

French progressive visionaries Hypno5e have revealed their new single ‘Molecular Angel’, from forthcoming album Trame Noire, set for release on 6th November via Pelagic Records.

Stream and pre-order here: https://orcd.co/hypno5e

On the new single and video, the band comment: “‘Molecular Angel’ is the turning point in Trame Noire’s trajectory, marking the moment when the mutation of the surrounding space gives way to the character’s inner transformation.

“Direct and raw, the track unfolds over a relatively short span of time for an Hypno5e song. It moves through ethereal passages before ending in a frantic chaos that announces the album’s second half.

‘”Molecular Angel’ was conceived differently from the rest of our compositions: with no detours, more condensed, and focused on a direct and immediate expression.”

Since 2003, Hypno5e have made a distinct, indelible mark on the progressive heavy music scene. Their self-styled ‘cinematic metal’ mixes heavy music, the avant-garde, post-rock, immersive samples and Latin American influences across widescreen songs. On their much-anticipated seventh album, Trame Noire, they continue their unique journey.

Trame Noire is named after the French term for “dark infrastructure”: urban architecture designed to preserve the blackness of the night for nocturnal species. It tells the story of a protagonist who confronts his trauma over the course of one night, as every insect, every flap of a wing and every change in temperature brings back long-buried memories.

Parallel to the new album release and celebrating their over 20 years of existence, Hypno5e are releasing a complete discography 13LP boxset, which features the new album alongside the studio albums Sheol (2023), A Distant Dark Source (2019), Alba (2018), Shores of the Abstract Line (2016), Acid Mist Tomorrow (2012) as well as debut album Des Deux L’une Est L’autre (2007), the latter for the first time on vinyl.

Album opener ‘Lost Fires’ rises from lonely keys to a section driven by Jessua’s lush vocals, followed by hulking guitars. ‘Falmer’ offers some of the sweetest and hardest moments of Hypno5e’s career: a hypnotic detour evokes the prime of Pink Floyd, then crashes into a metallic thunder that sounds like Gojira gone black metal. ‘Molecular Angel’ channels old-school prog, drums clamouring beneath gorgeous singing and ambient instruments, and ‘Bare Bones’ is a guitar-powered attack, incorporating wild leads and hammering thuds. The 10-minute title track is a suitably dynamic finale, but it remains consistent in its utter, bittersweet beauty.

Trame Noire was approached quite differently to their previous work, opting for a more organic sound. The band limited their use of samples to reflect the lyrics’ focus on one voice and one character. Plus, they used a warmer, looser style of production: less traditionally tech-metal, more inspired by the masterpieces of 70s psychedelic rock.

Even the artwork – painted by Emmanuel’s father, co-lyricist and frequent collaborator Thierry Jessua – is a raw, unrefined sketch, more human than what was seen on past covers. “This time I wanted to discover another language,”Emmanuel commented. “Every album should tell its story differently. I never want Hypno5e to become predictable.”

All this evolution also reflects the fact that Trame Noire was the first album to be made from start to finish with Hypno5e’s current lineup, rounded out by co-guitarist Jonathan Maurois, bassist Charles Villanueva and drummer Pierre Rettien.
“The new lineup brings different atmospheres,”Emmanuel continues. “It doesn’t mean that Hypno5e is going to be this way forever now, but I think there was a more direct and free way of composing. Everybody had more of a say on the decisions and the structures we put on the album.”

Trame Noire is another bold statement in a career defined by non-conformity. Shorter, warmer and presented in a totally different way to previous works, it ensures that Hypno5e remain one of one, even after more than two decades.

Track list:

Side A
1. Lost Fires
2. Falmer

Side B
3. Molecular Angel
4. Bare Bones
5. Trame Noire

Symphonic metal pioneers NIGHTWISH are marking three decades of musical wizardry. To celebrate this milestone, the band announces their most ambitious retrospective collection yet: The Greatest 30 Years On Earth, which will be released on December 11th via Nuclear Blast Records.
This massive anniversary release arrives as a love letter to fans, capturing the grand scale of the band’s historic career through rare audio, visual spectacles, and unprecedented behind-the-scenes access.

A Treasure Trove of Live Performance and Rare Recordings

The Greatest 30 Years On Earth brings together the definitive modern live experiences of NIGHTWISH. The collection features audio and video recordings from two monumental, contrasting eras of their recent touring history: the high-octane arena spectacle in Amsterdam (2022) and the deeply emotional, triumphant homecoming show in Kitee (2023).

In addition to traditional concert recordings, the release unearths exclusive, highly sought-after live-in-the-studio audio captured during the band’s groundbreaking virtual live events,  with all of the audio once again mastered at Finnvox Studios. This sonic journey is paired with an expansive, curated treasure trove of photographs spanning thirty years of touring, studio sessions, and candid moments.

An Intimate Glimpse Into the Mastermind

For the first time, fans will get an intimate look into the creative engine of NIGHTWISH. The release includes a brand-new, deeply insightful documentary focusing on founder and primary songwriter Tuomas Holopainen. The film explores his visionary approach to composition, the evolution of the band’s mythos, and the personal philosophy that has sustained NIGHTWISH at the forefront of the global metal scene for three decades and was directed by Ville Lipiäinen.

The band comments: “The whirlwind of 30 years is still scooping up building materials and curios: new interviews, documentaries, remixed songs from the ‘Islanders Arms’, photos and, are you ready? concert footage of the ‘Human :ll: Nature’ tour, shot in Holland and Finland.
This is Nightwish; The Greatest Years on Earth so far!”

To give fans an immediate glimpse into the sheer power of this release, the band has dropped the live music video for ‘7 Days To The Wolves’ recorded live in Amsterdam (2022).

Japanese Ambient / Folk Alchemist HAPPY SAD Shares New Video for ‘Daily Life’

Epictronic is pleased to announce the release of the official video for “Daily Life,” a track from Japanese ambient/folk artist Happy Sad‘s album The World Is Grand When We See, available now on all major platforms.

Created during Japan’s period of self-restraint in the COVID-19 era, the track is rooted in observation rather than urgency. It captures the repetition and stillness of everyday routines: making coffee, watering plants, watching nature shift slowly through the day. Nothing is exaggerated. Everything is intentional.

Built around acoustic piano, guitar, and violin, the composition moves with a light, natural flow. It does not push for drama. Instead, it holds space for reflection, highlighting how ordinary moments can quietly carry weight.

“Daily Life” continues Happy Sad’s approach to ambient storytelling, where sound becomes a way to document time rather than escape it. The result is subtle, human, and grounded.

About the Artist: The Architect of Sound

Happy Sad is the solo project of Hiroaki, a Japanese artist and sound professional based in the game industry. He began making music during his student years, playing café bar gigs and recording demos. His influences take in soul, British rock, folk, trip hop, neoclassical, world music, and film scores, alongside a strong connection to literature. His recordings balance live instrumentation with programmed elements. To date, Happy Sad has released seven albums and 19 EPs.

Outside of music, Hiroaki has around 14 years of experience as a Sound Designer and Sound Director in the games industry, having contributed to over 60 projects at companies including NetEase Games, FunPlus, NHN PlayArt, and Noisycroak Inc. His work spans music composition, sound design, audio direction, and promotional video production. In 2013, his track “Everyday” won the domestic DJ category and reached the finals of MTV and Lenovo’s CO:LAB contest.

In recent years, Hiroaki has travelled across ten countries in search of sounds and traditional instruments. Encounters along the way with displaced communities have shaped his approach to music as a form of shared human expression.

Forged in the underground of Bogotá, PERPETUAL WARFARE delivers a neck-breaking assault of ferocious riffs, blistering speed, and uncompromising aggression. M-Theory was immediately taken aback by the unrelenting savagery, yet also by the band’s overall progression and maturity from earlier material and conversations began leading to the latest addition to our diverse and exciting label roster.

“It feels like a long road to get here; we’ve toured, played in places we never imagined when we started, and shared stages with bands that influenced us from the beginning, all while doing everything entirely DIY,” explains singer/guitarist Camilo Muñoz. “Being the first Colombian band to sign with M-Theory is a great honor. I think Marco and M-Theory are the right partner for us on this new stage; they understood where the band is today and where we want to go next. We’re beyond excited about the future with M-Theory!”

The first stop of this new venture is introducing you to PERPETUAL WARFARE’s new music and “Nihil Sumus” is now on all streaming/download digital platforms for you to check out.

It brings together all the aggression we’ve built over these two decades,” states bassist Wilson Muñoz. “We want to remind people that faith and hope are sometimes not enough to make us face our mistakes, because at the end of the day, we are simply nothing.”

“’Nihil Sumus’ is a post-pandemic lament of loneliness and depression expressed in relentless riffs and agonizing screams. It’s also the heaviest song we have written in our career,” declares Camilo. “Having the opportunity to release the first two singles in 7″ LP format, with the help of REC Label in Colombia, makes perfect sense with the anticipation we’ve built around the album for fans in Europe, the U.S., and Latinoamérican. We’re beyond excited about the future with M-Theory, and can’t wait for what is next!”

Explosive, lethal, and relentlessly intense, ‘Nihil Sumus’ stands as a definitive statement of pure, unfiltered extreme metal with the band unyielding on the title track as an assault that sets the stage for their upcoming full-length, due next year under the M-Theory Audio banner. An absolute masterclass in unforgiving speed and sonic warfare that will cement their reputation as one of the hardest-hitting forces in modern extreme metal, blending razor-sharp riffage with ferocious vocal aggression.

ABOUT PERPETUAL WARFARE

Hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, the quartet have carved a path of sonic devastation through relentless touring and explosive releases. Drawing inspiration from classic thrash pioneers while injecting modern extremity, the quartet stands as the dominant emerging force in South American metal. Formed in 2006 by brothers Camilo Muñoz (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Wilson Muñoz (bass), the band blends 1980s Bay Area and Teutonic thrash metal influences with aggressive modern Latino execution. Following their inception, the group quickly built a local following before delivering their full-length debut, ‘Justicia, Libertad y Decadencia,’ in 2010. Over the following decade, the group released two more albums, ‘The Age of War’ in 2013 and ‘Earthliens’ in 2018, alongside numerous EPs, singles and splits solidifying their lineup with drummer Esteban Díaz (who joined in 2014) and lead guitarist Camilo Solórzano (who joined in 2022). Through relentless DIY efforts and the establishment of their own entity, Wild Noise Productions, PERPETUAL WARFARE grew from underground local heroes to standard-bearers for South American metal. Lyrically, their music explores anti-war topics, corruption, socio-political collapse, and existential struggles. Widely recognized for their active touring, PERPETUAL WARFARE have played across 20+ countries including headlining tours across S. America, 35 shows in the US and almost a month of European dates alongside Japanese cult band Abigail. Additionally, the band have performed on 70,000 Tons of Metal, Knotfest (Mexico and Colombia), Rock al Parque (Colombia) and Winter Rising Fest (France) sharing stages with international metal mainstays including Slayer, Sepultura, Accept, Coroner, Suicidal Tendencies, Testament, and Cannibal Corpse, in addition to two sold-out nights opening for Megadeth at Bogotá’s Movistar Arena to nearly 30,000 attendees. Today, the band was also confirmed to present their special XX Year Show for the 30th Edition of the biggest open-air festival in Latin America – Festival Rock al Parque, as a long-experienced national special guest. This event will take place on Oct 10, 11 and 12th at Simon Bolivar Park in the capital city of Colombia, alongside acts like Ministry, Tryptikon, Stratovarius, Apocalyptica, Grave, Hellbutcher, among others.
