Full Earth is the latest psychedelic wunderkind from the far north. Headed by and centered around composer and drummer Ingvald Vassbø (best known for his stellar drumming in Kanaan, now also playing with Motorpsycho), the ambitious new band is rounded out by Kanaan bandmates Ask Vatn Strøm and Eskild Myrvoll, as well as bassist Simen Wie and organist/synthesist Øystein Aadland.

In support of Cloud Sculptors, Full Earth has announced an extensive European tour to kick off in April, find all upcoming live dates listed below!

Full Earth creates entrancing organ and synth-laden soundscapes anchored by tight rhythmic grooves. As arpeggiated keys pass and interlock with one another, a compelling and hypnotic picture reveals itself to the listener gradually. With a deep connection and love for minimalist music, heavy stoner rock ala Sleep, High on Fire and Elder and the electronic avant-garde, the Full Earth– sphere circles in on fuzzed out riffs, sonic experimentalism and noise music. Broadly speaking, Full Earth is equal parts heavy progressive rock and experimental music. Cloud Sculptors is a monumental album running 80+ minutes in which the band explores every facet of their musical interests: massive riffs, intricate and driving rhythms, swirling organs and ambient passages.

Graspop Metal Meeting Completes Line-Up for 2024 Edition

Graspop Metal Meeting issues:

This final clutch of 13 names completes the line-up for #GMM24! Slayer guitarist Kerry King, the tandem Max and Iggor Cavalera and former Deep Purple bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes are amongst the last acts to be announced for the 27th edition of Graspop Metal Meeting.

These are the final additions to this year’s bill: : Casey, Deez Nuts, Dominum, Fleddy Melculy, Frog Leap, Gel, Glenn Hughes Performs Classic Deep Purple Live, John Coffey, Kerry King, Khemmis, Max & Iggor Cavalera, Spoil Engine and Zulu.

Unfortunately Corrosion of Conformity have been forced to cancel their appearance.

Italian symphonic metal band ROSSOMETILE have announced their seventh album, “Gehenna”, which has been slated for release on May 10th 2024.

Since their inception, ROSSOMETILE has become one of the most dynamic and prolific bands in the contemporary Italian metal scene.

The album’s first single, “Sangue e Seduzione“, is now available HERE.

“’Sangue e Seduzione’ (Blood and Seduction) is the first single from our new album, marking a new chapter for the band. It’s a track that represents a stylistic turning point from the past, featuring more dynamic arrangements with orchestrations making room for electronic elements. Let’s get this party started! The incorrigible headbangers in LEATHER LUNG have heard the pleas of their enthusiastic following to bring forth a new album of substance-fueled boogie metal, and have obliged at last with the raucous new full-length “Graveyard Grin”. The proper debut album from the New England five-piece has everything promised by their previous EP releases: a thick, chugging concoction of stoner metal, doom, and unrelenting sludge, blended into a refreshingly heavy brew with a catchy kick.

LEATHER LUNG are a wild bunch that know the meaning of fun. This is hardly surprising as the band sprang into existence out of friendship and the punk and hardcore scene of Boston in 2012. Starting as a four-piece, they quickly gained an excellent reputation in their local scene, as well as plenty of critical attention through a string of EPs, starting with “Reap What You Sow” (2014) and followed in regular intervals by “Lost in Temptation” (2016), “Lonesome, On’ry and Evil” (2019), and “Dive Bar Devil” (2022).

‘Dive Bar Devil’ is also the name of LEATHER LUNG‘s own brand of lager beer, which has already sold out and been re-brewed multiple times. One may speculate that this is the liquid coming out off the can that the band’s Green Lady mascot of each of their record covers opens forcefully in the artwork of “Graveside Grin”.

Now a five-piece with the addition of a second guitarist, LEATHER LUNG are ready to take on the world. Following crushing live appearances at DesertFest New York and Psycho Las Vegas, the band return with “Graveside Grin”, a massive sign that these freaks from Boston are ready for the road and amped to get the global party going.

PORONIEC Release Debut Album “W Połogu”, MGŁA’s The Fall on Drums

Poroniec was born in 2016, during a rehearsal of another band, from our shared need to free ourselves from the burden of society’s expectations. One night of drinking led to many nights of sending each other listening materials and later on, recording first versions of the songs in Ferment’s home studio.

Poroniec in Slavic Demonology is mighty Demon raised from the soul of child who died before birth by intentional procedures performed by women to miscarry. It was believed that unborn child is motivated by envy because it did not have time to enjoy life. This envy was compared to the one that was observed during casting bad spells.

Drums for the album were recorded by The Fall (Mgła, Owls Woods Graves) in No Solace studio (Deus Mortem, Graveland, Mgła) and the rest in TRIPlets Audio by Ferment, who was also responsible for the album’s production, mix and mastering. The cover art was made by Maciej Kamuda (Blut aus Nord, Kalt Vindur, Stillborn). Guest vocals were performed by Hekte Zaren (Adaestuo) and Harvest (Outre).

Wrzaskun & Ferment about this record: “The album is a 52 minute long tale of humankind’s repugnant existence woven as a testament to our belief that albums should be listened to from their beginnings to their ends.“

Album “W Połogu” was released March 15, 2024 digitally on all major platforms as well as Bandcamp and as jewelcase CD via Polish underground label Putrid Cult (pre-order).
