The massive metallers of GRAND MASSIVE are back after their 2020 album “IV”! In 2023, the band recorded 5 songs to bridge the waiting time for the new album, which is planned for 2025. For the release of these songs, which have a playing time of over 27 minutes and will be released on May 23rd under the title “Houses Of The Unholy”, the band has signed with MDD Records!
As this is not a “normal” release, the aim from the outset was to get some old companions on board. For example, original drummer Holger Stich was on drums for the recordings and Randy M Salo, also an old companion, was on bass. Above all, none other than the legendary Bay Area guitarist Doug Pearcy (Blind Illusion, ex-Heathen, ex-Anvil Bitch) recorded various solos! A look at the cover artwork can be seen below. More info and a first taster will be available soon!

Tampa, Florida based Sci-Fi Death Metal icons NOCTURNUS AD have announced their new album “Unicursal”, slated to be released on May 17 via Profound Lore Records. With the track “CephaloGod”, NOCTURNUS AD have unleashed the first single today. The song is released alongside a brand new music video, which you can watch below.
“The first single is called CephaloGod and its a song about Cthulhu being awakened from his ancient slumber by his followers when the right stars aligned and opened a portal for him to travel through it to take over the Earth,” Mike Browning comments. “The video was done by Wizardhead, his unique style of video producing was the perfect fit to make a video for a Lovecraftian concept like this song has.“
Tracklist:

The Ascension Throne of Osiris
CephaloGod
Mesolithic
Organism 46B
Mission Malkuth
Yesod, The Dark Side of The Moon

The new NOCTURNUS AD album “Unicursal” will be released on all formats and is the anticipated follow-up to 2019’s acclaimed “Paradox”. With “Paradox”, Nocturnus founder/sci-fi death metal godfather Mike Browning (also original Morbid Angel co-founder) would resurrect Nocturnus lore under its new alteration NOCTURNUS AD which gave Browning the opportunity to finally continue the mythos that came before with the legendary album “The Key” almost 30 years after the release of one of the most influential death metal albums of all time. The result being NOCTURNUS AD’s debut album “Paradox” being the proper follow-up to “The Key” (musically and thematically) where the story of Dr. Magus would finally see its sequel three decades later.
The upcoming full-length record “Unicursal” sees Browning, along with guitarists Belial Koblak and Demian Heftel, keyboardist Josh Holdren, and new bassist Kyle Sokol (bass on “Unicursal” was performed by now- ex bassist Daniel Tucker), continue the journey of Dr. Magus following the events of “Paradox”. Now armed with his bio suit, on “Unicursal” Dr. Magus issent on a mission to traverse through the Spheres of the the Kabbalistic Tree Of Life to conquer each sphere and collect its respective sigil/symbol. “Unicursal” will see Dr. Magus specifically travel to Malkuth, Yesod, Hod, and Netzach, the Tree’s lower realm, its roots (the story of Dr. Magus is featured on the album’s second half where the album’s first half will continue to explore ancient occult themes and mysteries from the unknown, separate from Dr. Magus’ story).
Evidently “Unicursal” is not only one of the most ambitious undertakings Browning has been involved with, but it is a formidable display of progressive occult metal wizardry that manifests NOCTURNUS AD as one of the most singular forces in extreme metal today; there truly is no other entity akin and “Unicursal” is another monolith that honours and continues the traditionand lore laid down with “The Key” and continued with “Paradox”. With blistering guitar manifestations courtesy of Koblak and Heftel, Holdren’s grand and epic synth passages and Browning holding down the rhythm with his calculated battery along with his unique commanding chants, “Unicursal” is a towering aeonic manifestation, extraordinary sci-fi otherworldly death metal forging itself through time and space.
The album was produced/engineered/mastered by Jarrett Pritchard at New Constellation Audio in Orlando, Florida, and features artwork by Uwe Jarling with design by Chimere Noire.

ARMORED SAINT‘s most recent studio album, Punching The Sky, was released in 2020. The critically lauded full-length hit worldwide record charts including #4 on Billboard’s Current Hard Music Albums chart, #6 on the Top New Artists chart, #16 on the Top Independent Albums chart, and #17 on the Current Rock Albums chart upon its first week of release.
A diverse, attitude-drenched collection, the record offers everything the band’s faithful have come to expect from them while pushing their signature sound forward. Exploding to life with the crunchy, rousing “Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants” and not letting up until the closing ruthless riff of “Never You Fret,” the record is possessed of an urgency and vigor which very much places it in the right now, but could only be the work of bassist Joey Vera, guitarists Phil Sandoval and Jeff Duncan, drummer Gonzo Sandoval, and vocalist John Bush. The record also features a few guest musicians further expanding its sonic palette, the whole thing kicking off with the sound of Uilleann Pipes, Vera finding player Patrick D’Arcy in Los Angeles and recruiting him to the cause. Guns ‘N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed also contributes, Vera giving both him and D’Arcy some general directions and letting them loose, both of them delivering strong performances. The band’s own Gonzo Sandoval plays an American Indian flute on “Never You Fret” – a first for ARMORED SAINT and their drummer. Also Jacob Ayala, the son of a childhood friend who is a drum major in high school, added some marching snare on one of the tracks, which really stands out.
