Singer/songwriter/guitarist Emily Wolfe have released her new single “Kill The Love” along with the YouTube premiere of her powerful documentary capturing the passion, drive, and creative process of Emily’s critically acclaimed and politically charged LP, The Blowback.
Her single, “Kill The Love” showcases Emily’s musical gifts as she takes charge of the guitar, vocals, drums, and keys with Evan Nicholson on bass. The lyrics take on the inertia of present-day politics calling attention to the growing anxiety of the population through the driving drums and guitar licks. Emily’s intricate riffs act as the perfect counterpoint to her melodic vocals. “Kill The Love” is an in-your-face ride that fits perfectly as the next step in Emily’s growing catalog of music.
“‘Kill The Love’ is written about politicians choosing greed over the well-being of the people they were voted in to represent. Playing drums on this song is my visceral attempt to get out my anger,” Emily says, “The last time I played drums on my stuff was “Atta Blues” back in 2016, so it was awesome to sit behind the kit for this one.”
‘The Blowback Mini Documentary,’ premiering today, follows Emily as she records her full-length LP which was released late in 2024. The footage is raw and honest capturing Emily talking about her songwriting process, the production of the LP, and diving into the inspiration for the songs which tackle sexual assault, abortion, and LGBTQIA+ rights.
“Having documentation of the making of my most intense record to date is something I’m beyond excited about. It was so important to me for the camera to bear witness to me being vulnerable in this moment with the hope that it would encourage and allow viewers to step into their own. As an artist, it was so important to me to show that trusting my authentic instincts is always the way to go and I hope that other artists take some reassurance from that. I’m so proud of this film.” Emily says.
Emily hasn’t set foot on solid ground for a long while, as she just completed a European tour supporting The Gaslight Anthem and will start a US tour on May 8 in Santa Fe, NM. (Full tour dates below) Taking a small break, she will head back on tour in the Fall as a headliner in the UK and Europe with her first show in London in early September 2024.
Emily’s reputation for stunningly impressive live performances has resulted in personal requests from icons such as Heart and TOOL to open for them but also continuing to be able to embark on headlining tours.
She is widely celebrated for her guitar playing and Epiphone/Gibson guitars built two signature guitars selling worldwide with the newest addition being the White Wolfe, following the Sheraton Stealth.

Metallic hardcore heavy hitters Sunmancer are poised to shake the foundations of the metalcore scene with their latest video single “Chasm Darkly”. Known for their relentless energy and unyielding heaviness, Sunmacer is also hitting the road with August Burns Red and Fuming Mouth in May (dates listed below) where listeners can catch the track live. The band comments on the song:
“Compared to our other songs, Chasm Darkly came together relatively quickly. This song was written in a span of a few hours, and only very minor tweaks were made after the demo was recorded. Everyone in the band really enjoys the vibe of the song, and it’s the first one that Ramon, our drummer, was able to sing on. The lyrical content is purposely left open to interpretation so that the listener can glean their own meaning. We are extremely proud of this song, and feel that it represents the musical direction we are moving in as a band.”
Lyrically, “Chasm Darkly” can be open to interpretation, but vocalist Justin Mazlik wrote it with his own struggles and anxiety in mind. Musically, Sunmancer wanted this track to have a wide range of feelings – going from heavy riffing with blast beats to epic choruses and calm bridges. They don’t revisit many of the riffs in the song, as to take the listener on more of a “journey” as opposed to just a verse-chorus-verse-chorus structure.
Formed by brothers Kyle and Justin Mazlik, Sunmancer rose from the ashes of Broadcast The Nightmare, carving out their own path in the metal landscape. Teaming up with Atlanta-based guitarist Jeremy Harlan of Faith In Ruin, the band’s lineup solidified with the addition of Dan Nelson on bass and Ramon Rellum on drums.
“Chasm Darkly” is intended to be more than just a song, it is an experience – from the intense blast beats to the serene interludes, every element of the track is carefully crafted to evoke emotion and resonate with the audience. It is recommended for fans of Killswitch Engage, Counterparts, and The Black Dahlia Murder.

“Mr. No One” is the new release from The Tragic Company, becoming the third advance track from the highly anticipated upcoming album “Paradox Vol. 2” and one of the most socially critical songs in their repertoire.
“Mr. No One” is a step up in terms of the band’s sound and a clear declaration of intentions. It has been produced by Juanma Medina and mixed by Paco Requena. Once again, the high gain guitars take absolute protagonism in crushing riffs that invite to headbanging in a great song that will delight the most demanding ears of modern metal fans.
In itself, the song is an acid criticism of the new wave of influencers, youtubers, tiktokers and streamers in general, who are capable of doing anything in order to get likes and followers. There is also a clear reprobation of certain attitudes of a society that is stagnant, alienated and full of selfishness.
As usual, the videoclip has once again been made by El Páramo, and before you make any ideas in your head, we recommend you watch it until the end. It was filmed in the facilities of Muled Sound, and produced by Josema Blanco, in Manilva (Málaga). It features the participation of Elvira Pedregal as the streamer Oraange Bite; Josema Aranda as camera operator and Romina Torroba in makeup and hairdressing.
The Tragic Company: Drums: Jose Luis Fernández “Chelu”. Bass and backing vocals: Alan Voreaux Guitar and backing vocals: Mariano Alcobendas Lead vocals and guitar: Juanma Medina
