Swedish Metal titans PRIME CREATION are currently busy in the studio, working on their upcoming new album. The band has just issued a new studio update, revealing more information on the new album alongside other great news!

The band shared:
“We’ve some great news about out upcoming album and studio progress. The pre-production of a fourth album is in it’s final vocal sessions, 8 tracks are more or less done out of 12! No title or artwork for the forthcoming album is set yet.
Meanwhile there have been interviews done and in the meantime, we have signed with Manic Music Booking Agency taking care of Scandinavian shows and tours!
It is almost 6 months since the release of ‘Tell Freedom I Said Hello’ which have received a great reception beyond our expectations so far! Shows and touring Europe is next on the list, so stay tuned for more to come!”

Swedish Metal titans PRIME CREATION were formed in early 2015 and consist of skilled and experienced musicians, delivering modern hard-driving melodic heavy metal. The band rose from the ashes of the power metal band Morifade.

At the end of 2022 Prime Creation signed a multi-record deal with Greek label “Rock of Angels Records” and the third album “Tell Freedom I Said Hello” was release on August 25, 2023 with great reception worldwide!

Since the start Prime Creation have played a lot of gigs, both at clubs and festivals, among them as opening act for Masterplan at a couple of occasions and at Skogsröjet Festival with acts like Europe and W.A.S.P. In September of 2023 Prime Creation went on a Baltic tour for some gig dates in Latvia.

BEFORE THE DAWN have unveiled their brand-new single, “Chaos Sequence”, together with an official music video. The relentless song is cut from the band’s upcoming digital EP Archaic Flame, set for release this Friday, March 8, 2024 via Napalm Records. After a decade of silence, the Finnish metal juggernauts shattered expectations with their comeback album, Stormbringers, the subsequent reconquering of Europe’s stages in 2023, and successfully dominating the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise last month.
 
With “Chaos Sequence”, BEFORE THE DAWN unleash another rousing headbanger and catch the listener’s ear instantly with a fast-paced intro and raw death metal facets. Everchanging clean vocals mixed with the deep, visceral growls of vocalist Paavo Laapotti build up to an untamable atmosphere, captured by the official music video.

“‘Chaos Sequence’ portrays the disarray if the current times as well as the energy that flows inside the band after victorious comeback year. Chaos around us growing unceasingly but at least storm inside the band can easily be tamed and turned into new music.”

Introductory track “Archaic Flame” is a sonic inferno that showcases BEFORE THE DAWN‘s mastery of melodic death metal. Galloping guitar rhythms interfere with calmer parts while the intense clean vocals of Paavo Laapotti and an astonishing guitar solo create a melodic atmosphere. Followed by “Run To You”, a stunning cover of the hit song by Canadian rock and pop musician Bryan Adams, it is painted in a new light and presents a whole new side of one of the most successful metal bands from Finland. The track is dominated by dreamy synthesizer and the poppy clean vocals of Paavo Laapotti, catapulting BEFORE THE DAWN into a completely new universe while raw, deep growls maintain the depths of their trademark darkness. Taken from their 2008 album, Soundscape Of Silence, the band closes the EP with a live version of one of their most successful songs, “Dying Sun”, recorded at Finnish venue Logomo in September 2023.

Space-Garage rockers Dust Mice presents their newest visual marvel: the music video for “Room Within A Room,” blending 80s visual nostalgia with their signature cosmic rock vibes. The track is part of Dust Mice’s album of the same name, available worldwide via Epictronic.

“Room Within A Room” takes a cosmic journey through the fractal constructions our minds create that distort and control us.

It delves into the intricacies of the mind, illustrating a struggle with haunting thoughts and inner conflicts while searching for solace. They use the metaphor of a “room within a room” to symbolize the complexity of the human psyche and the journey toward self-awareness and liberation from inner turmoil.
The captivating video is a nod to 80s aesthetics while encapsulating the band’s signature cosmic flair.

Dust Mice started in a cramped practice space in the Pacific Northwest with the intent to create a sound and vision of psych-tinged space rock. In the following years, they released 2 EPs (Dust Mice, Moon Fetus), and their first full-length album (Earth III).

Room Within A Room is their 2nd album; recorded over the course of 2022 as they put the shards of pandemic-shattered lives back together. Although Dust Mice has developed their own distinct sound, they always return to their influence from the true Masters of the Universe, and at Hawkfest ’22 Dust Mice had the honor of sharing the stage with Hawkwind.

Tragically, original drummer Zane Graham left this realm on his own cosmic journey at the end of 2022. The songs on Room Within A Room are his final recordings with Dust Mice; a summation of his time in the band and a lasting legacy of his contributions.

Dust Mice are currently writing material for their next album and continue to perform live, regularly in the Seattle area.

“The Queen of the Red Streams” is a tithe to the Nordic black metal of the ’90s. Opening with what promises to be their signature-style melodic riff interplay with blast beats, the song wanes into a haunting acoustic melody before waxing back under the echoing calls of the lunatic choir.

The relentless drums drive the song forward through a guitar solo that’s just long enough to catch your breath, then push ever closer to the altar of the dark mother, who awaits her bloody work. “The Queen of the Red Streams” lures you in and then drags you away with its force of inevitable inertia.

“We traverse the arteries of timeless tunnels towards the illusory veil of life and death” says Night Shall Drape Us. “Mesmerized by the eternal dance, we submit our lives to cross the veil. She shall reap all that is false and set us free.”

THORNBRIDGE Premiere ‘I Am The Storm’ Video + Single

The concept album tells the story of a boy who tries to save his dream world and its characters from the destruction and violence he is confronted with in his real life in the form of questionable and inhumane healing methods’ and surgeries in a mental asylum set in the early Victorian era.

Following previously-released, first singles – the album title track and “My Last Desire” – today THORNBRIDGE have shared a music video for their latest single “I Am The Storm”! 

THORNBRIDGE frontman Jörg “Mo” Naneder comments: 

“In this song, the boy decides to stay strong and not to watch helplessly as his dream world is destroyed.

He joins forces with his fantasy creatures and characters to form an army to fight the shadows and demons and save their dream world.

Originally, the song had a completely different beginning. When the song was finished, we thought that the beginning somehow didn’t fit in with the rest of the song at all and quickly went back to it. Within a few hours, we redid the entire beginning from the drum intro to the first verse and replaced it with the old one.”

In contrast to the two previous albums that were more on the heavy side, “Daydream Illusion” is a bit more melancholic and magical, which is also reflected in the vocals that are less aggressive and cleaner on this album. Special attention was paid to catchy melodies and lyrics, and for the first time a ballad made it onto an THORNBRIDGE album.

“Daydream Illusion” was mixed and mastered by Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann at Greenman Studios, with a cover artwork by Juanjo Castellano Rosado.

TETSUO to Release Sophomore Album “Dots” on April 13th

Italy’s TETSUO will release their sophomore album “Dots” on April 13th 2024 via Hypershape Records.

The first single, the title track “Dots”, is now streaming at THIS LOCATION.

Starting from post-metal and absorbing influences from 90’s noise and early post-hardcore, TETSUO represents one of the most relevant but unpredictable bands of the Italian underground. The overpowering feeling that emanates from the album’s tar-thick hymns is a stirring combination of exhaustion and determination. These six songs are devastatingly heavy, but the band gives equal attention to soaring melodies, speaker-rupturing riffs and to dark, immersive atmospheres, drawing inputs from several different musical sub-genres.

The band commented:

“‘Dots’ is a story of routine. Every ‘Dots’ song was born on a Friday night, nearly at the same hour, during our rehearsals, in the same location. ‘Dots’ is the result of a sound evolution where everything around it remains the same: same beers, same whiskeys, same volumes, same way of thinking about riffs, same expectations about what we’re doing, giving our best in every circumstance… always the same, always different…”.

TETSUO started as a three-piece in April 2019. During 2020, the band became a five-piece adding another guitar and voice to the line-up. In 2022, TETSUO’s self-titled debut album came out via Hypershape Records and the band started playing live shows around the North of Italy. The live activity lead to the composition of their second album: “Dots”. Today, the sound of the band is a balanced mix of post-metal and post-rock elements, with more unconventional 90’s post-hardcore riffs and sounds enhanced by an interesting use of stompboxes.
