THESE WICKED RIVERS have released their new album ‘Force Of Nature‘, out now on Fat Earth Records.

Established in 2014, These Wicked Rivers are Derby’s entry to the new wave of rock and roll that is sweeping across the United Kingdom. Drawing influence from the well of rock legends and blues greats, the band have made quite an impact since their inception with their unique brand of blues-infused modern rock steadily picking up plaudits for their gutsy live performances across the UK.

The ensemble received a slew of positive reviews for their debut EP ‘The Enemy’ back in 2015, and followed it up with 2017’s ‘II’, gaining them attention within the emerging UK rock scene as well as airplay on Planet Rock radio. Debut album ‘Eden’ was released in May 2020 and brought new levels of critical acclaim, including a Classic Rock Magazine ‘High Hopes’ feature as well as a coveted ‘Track of the Week’ accolade.

The band embarked on their first headline UK tour in March 2023, taking their trademark ‘Grandma’s Living Room’ stage set to the far corners of the UK to a rapturous reception including several SOLD OUT shows. This was followed by a Planet Rock sponsored headline tour in December 2023, which saw momentum gathering with yet more sell out shows across the country.

2024 is sure to be a huge year for the band. It kicked off in January with a hometown show that sold out in just 5 hours and Eden’s highly anticipated follow up, ‘Force of Nature‘ drops 1st March 2024 via Fat Earth Records. The band will be hitting the road once again in May armed with the new album on their ‘Peace, Love & Lampshades’ tour, bringing their signature sounds to a venue near you.

With “Südlich Von Mitternacht”, Ohrenfeindt from Hamburg-St. Pauli deliver the first single from their 10th studio album “Wenn Der Teufel Anruft”, which will be released this autumn.

DISTORTED FORCE have released a new lyric video for ‘Machine’, taken from “Angelic Bloodshed” album. Watch it below.

Distorted Force is a band with a very weird approach to composition. Being in the substance of progressive metal implies long length tracks, unstable structure, and a lot of changes in a song’s general atmosphere. In recent years the band moves musically in the heavy/progressive area.
They started in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2008.

In the beginning of 2010 Distorted Force started their discography with a homonymous EP. A year later they released “A Dead Man’s Dream” showing obvious influences from Porcupine Tree and Anathema. The line-up changed and “Depersonalization” was out in 2012 with much heavier sound, that keeps up to date. In January 2013, “Fields in Desolation” was released, characterized by progressive metal elements which were about to increase over the next years. In December of 2014, the album “Taken by Force” paved the same progressive metal course that was carved in their previous albums. The next full-length album “Curves of Sidereal Cosmos” was the band’s first concept album and was released in May 2018, followed by flattering reviews from the music press all over the world.

Distorted Force have been performing live shows all over Greece and Europe
since 2008. On June 10th, 2023, the band released their seventh album “Angelic Bloodshed” via French Soman Records. This is considered to be the heaviest so far.

Finnish progressive rock masters Von Hertzen Brothers have recently released their magical live performance at Tavastia, Finland, recorded in 2023. Performing songs across their extensive catalogue, Live at Tavastia was released as a live album on 16th February, and the concert is available to watch as an on-demand stream.

Today, the band have unveiled another video, this time for the live version of ‘Frozen Butterflies’.

Live at Tavastia was released as a limited edition (1000) gatefold double vinyl LP, limited edition (1000) gatefold double CD, and on all streaming platforms.

Live at Tavastia is the first release since Von Hertzen Brothers’ highly acclaimed 2022 album Red Alert in the Blue Forest, which Prog magazine described as “A masterpiece”. Von Hertzen Brothers have consistently achieved top 5 albums including three number 1s in their homeland with Love Remains the Same (2008), Stars Aligned (2011), Nine Lives (2013), New Day Rising (2015), War Is Over (2017) and Red Alert In The Blue Forest (2022).

This success has made them one of the most important rock acts to have emerged from Finland in recent times. A stunning live force, the band have performed in 22 countries.

The three brothers are joined by one of Finland’s finest drummers, Sami Kuoppamäki, known for the acclaimed Finnish cult band Kingston Wall, and for performing in metal giants Apocalyptica and Stratovarius. Visionary keyboard player, Robert Engstrand, best known for his work with Turisas and the Swedish progressive band The Flower Kings completes the Von Hertzen Brothers line-up.

Next year Von Hertzen Brothers will enter the studio to record their ninth studio album, more news soon.

FATAL FIRE Release Video for ‘Kingslayer’ from Upcoming Debut Album

“Arson”, the debut album by female fronted power metallers FATAL FIRE, will be released on March 28th! The quartet with exceptional singer Svenja Rohmann is less symphonic, but rather with a small portion of thrash and a larger ladle of classic speed metal borrowings.
