Single “My Secret Suicide”

  • Despair leads to isolation, isolation to depression and despondency, from this dark point in life the Music From The Dark project takes strength +++
  • A deep black soul duo that draws from bands like the cure, paradise lost, katatonia, joy division to unite in a deep sound of sad and decadent torment.
  • “DEPRESSIVE DARK” this is the genre proposed by MUSIC FROM THE DARK +++.
  • To be in a room and never see an exit…to live in the light but see only darkness around you…a single moment of hope…this is ” My Secret Suicide “.

Recorded and mixed: Music Inside Studio (MO)

Line up:
MARCO MAGNONI (VOCALS/GUITARS).

At that time BLACKAGE will back up Cradle of Filth and left for a tour in which they participated in many festivals including Beach bum in Jesolo with headliner Marilyn Manson. There will be participations in other Goth/Dark projects but the idea of reuniting with his old friend and historical drummer “MAX” to found “Music from the dark ” will happen only in 2020 during the black time of covid..
In that forced period of isolation and total darkness came the band’s most decadent and despair-filled pieces.

MAX TOSI (DRUMS)
Born as a drummer in the very early era of Modenese heavy metal. DISILLUSION was founded in 1994 and with each subsequent independent release, the band progressed in many ways and morphed into something much more. By the time their debut album “Back To Times Of Splendor” was released through Metal Blade Records in 2004, DISILLUSION were not only touring throughout Germany but also internationally with the likes of Amon Amarth and Impious.

Singer, main composer and founding member Andy Schmidt comments: “20 years, crazy, I’m so grateful for the huge impact this record had on so many people, fans, musicians, music lovers. And of course we never expected this. Thank You to everybody who supported us through all the years! Time to celebrate together on tour in spring.”

DISILLUSION‘s long rich history has had many highlights, most recently being their last two albums “The Liberation” and “Ayam” charting in Germany, but “Back To Times Of Splendor” was an album that defined them as a band. It was a concept album of pure progressive death metal but still showed a huge range of emotion. From touching, almost fragile moments to brutal rhythmic outbursts – DISILLUSION melted all genre boundaries together and made an epic masterpiece which Metal Hammer Magazine heralded it as one of the best German metal albums of all time.

DISILLUSION will celebrate this milestone in 2024 by touring internationally, where they will perform “Back To Times Of Splendor” in its entirety. The first shows in Germany, Switzerland and Austria are on sale now with many more concerts and festivals to be announced soon.

KALT VINDUR Release Video for Instrumental Track ‘Mist Over Cergova’

Polish Subcarpathian black metal band Kalt Vindur have released a new video to the instrumental track “Mist Over Cergova”, taken off their latest album “Magna Mater”.

The album “Magna Mater” was released on 26 January 2024 and is available to order via The Circle Music: https://thecirclemusic.gr/product-category/the-circle-releases/?filter_artist-name=kalt-vindur

Grab the album on digital services: https://TheCircleMusic.lnk.to/MagnaMater

Kalt Vindur was established in the spring of 2015 in Dukla, Poland. After personnel changes in the line-up of Artur (Svart) on guitar, Julian (Xakhariash) on drums, Szymon (S) on bass guitar, Wojciech (Celsus) on vocals, the band recorded their first album entitled “Delusions” and released in 2017 by Polish record label Mara Productions. Following that, Kalt Vindur were joined by guitarist Marcin (Ver) for live performances and shortly after became a permanent member of the band.

The band’s first album consists of six compositions set in the climate of progressive black metal, characterised by the climate of the Podkarpacie region demonstrated by the melodies and aggressive rhythms. The themes of the lyrics include man’s struggle with his inner demons, weaknesses, as well as events related to the history of the Podkarpacie region, such as the devastating battles of the Second World War, death, destruction and suffering.

In 2020, the second album entitled “…And Nothing Is Endless” was released by Witching Hour Productions, on which the band further developed their style and cemented their unique presentation of Subcarpathian black metal. This time, the music gained even more power and melody with a regional tinge. The compositions became even more violent and heavy. Kalt Vindur played concerts alongside such bands as Pandemonium, Hate, Batushka, Jarun, Zmarłym and performed at Siekiera Fest 2021.

In 2022, the band recorded the material for their third album entitled ‘Magna Mater’. The drum recordings for the new album were made by new talented percussionist Rafal Chruścicki (Czarnuch), who replaced previous drummer Julian (Xakhariash). The band’s style has also evolved this time, making it the most mature work with some surprising changes, but at the same time a multidimensional and coherent album.

WINTERBORN Return with New Album “Break Another Day”, Debut New Single + Video ‘Winterborn’

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: WINTERBORN. Leave a comment

Finland’s Melodic, Power Metal Masters, Winterborn, announce new album “Break Another Day;” debut new single and video for “Winterborn.”

Back from a nearly 15 year hiatus, Winterborn picks up right where they left off, with their most powerful and strongest album to date. With 5 new singles released, (the single “Winterborn” being the latest), the band has lit a magical re-ignition that is sure to burn more than a few fires in the Melodic Power Metal world. The new songs are a mix of Power Metal with signature Progressive flair and enough melody to float on the wings of angels. The new songs are sure to please the band’s existing fan base who have been waiting anxiously for this resurrection, but also open new eye’s all across the Power Metal world.

Pasi Vapola States: “I am very proud of the new music and I am sure that the fans will love it. They have been waiting patiently and we feel that we have delivered something very special for them.”

Winterborn saw the light of day at the end of 2004 and much like so many other bands before them, started from the ashes of a covers-only band titled Mean Machine. That band transformed into Winterborn and with their original line-up the band released one album, “Cold Reality” via Massacre Records in November of 2006. The album brought critical acclaim and made enough noise to grab them a support slot on the European Tour of Düsseldorf’s Pocket-sized, Metal Goddess, Doro, through 6 countries and 22 shows.

The accolades kept pouring in as “Cold Reality” was touted by the media as “An amazing piece of metal,” “Best debut since Sonata Arctica’s “Ecliptica,” and “Impressive in all aspects.” High marks for a debut album, for sure.  With that kind of attention, the band garnered some well-deserved attention in Europe and Japan, but, surprisingly, not in their native Finland. With the countries love for all things metal, it was there that the albums momentum fizzled out due to the lack of any type of powerful promotion. After the Euro tour and a handful of domestic gigs, the band decided to pivot off of the attention that they established outside of Finland and began recording their sophomore album in August of 2007. The recording of the album took a hit right out of the gate due to some unfortunate circumstances and an almost complete makeover of the band’s line-up.  The recording took a whopping 7 months and almost a full year before it was ready for release.

The band was hungrier than ever and the revamped Winterborn, with a fresh lineup, signed a recording deal with Japanese label Marquee/Avalon (Sonata Arctica, Iced Earth, H.E.A.T etc.) for their 2nd album. Touted, again by the media as a quality effort, with buzz like “Total proof of talent,” “Melodic metal at its best,” the album “Farewell To Saints” dropped in Japan in November 2008 and early 2009 in Europe via Massacre Records. The rest of 2009 and early 2010 saw the band embarking on another European Tour supporting Finland melodic metal hammers Sonata Arctica and Dutch upstarts Delain.

With many past successes to build from and the extended hiatus that kept the band hungry to play again, Winterborn has survived through the changes and are set to take over the music world. After hearing the new songs, the world is set to be the bands oyster. Open your ears, sit back and hear the magic of the return of Winterborn.

Fly with ALBERTO RIGONI to an auditory expedition unlike any other, as he unveils his latest masterpiece, the single ‘Fly Me To The Moon’, set for release on March 15th, 2024. This is not just another cover; it’s a profound homage and a bold reimagining of the beloved classic that pays tribute to the legendary Frank Sinatra, infused with the unique artistry and emotion only Rigoni can deliver.

With ‘Fly Me To The Moon,’ Rigoni invites us on a musical venture that begins with the soft, enchanting tones of a xylophone, crafting a lullaby that gently cradles the listener’s soul. But the journey doesn’t end there; it escalates into a powerful rock saga, showcasing Rigoni’s electrifying prowess and innovative spirit. This rendition is a delicate balance of grace and energy, a bridge between the serene and the dynamic, all while maintaining the integrity of the original piece.

The narrative of this song is further enriched by Rigoni’s choice of instrument—the fretless bass. This choice is not incidental but deeply intentional, allowing for a fluidity and expressiveness that breathes new life into the classic tune. The fretless bass sings, it cries, it celebrates, encapsulating the essence of Sinatra’s timeless appeal with each note.

This single serves not just as a tribute but as a redefinition of what a cover can be—a novel experience that transcends generations and genres, inviting listeners to explore familiar melodies through a fresh, innovative lens. Available on all major streaming platforms, ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ is a precursor to Rigoni’s eagerly anticipated album, Unexpected Lullabies, set to captivate audiences on June 4th, 2024, through Sliptrick Records.

Anticipation for this musical journey can be satiated with pre-orders for Unexpected Lullabies now open. This album promises to be a collection of auditory wonders, each track a testament to Rigoni’s genius and his ability to transcend musical boundaries. Featuring a symphony of guest musicians alongside Rigoni’s virtuosic bass, Unexpected Lullabies is poised to be a beacon for lovers of music, an invitation to explore the depths of creativity and emotion.

What makes ‘Unexpected Lullabies’ even more exciting is the assembly of musical titans. The album features the legendary bassist Michael Manring, the keyboard wizardry of Alessandro Bertoni (of the Graham Bonnet Band) and Vitalij Kuprij (known for Artension and Trans-Siberian Orchestra), and many more yet-to-be-revealed guest artists.

Prepare for takeoff on March 15th with Alberto Rigoni’s ‘Fly Me To The Moon,’ a single that not only honors Frank Sinatra but elevates the classic to new heights of musical brilliance.
