LEATHER LUNG turn loose a vicious groove monster in the shape of the third single ‘Guilty Pleasure’ taken from their forthcoming album “Graveside Grin”. The Boston, Massachusetts quintet’s debut full-length is chalked up for release on March 15, 2024 via Magnetic Eye Records. The pre-sale is available at http://lnk.spkr.media/graveside-grin

LEATHER LUNG comment: “Love may be the answer, but it doesn’t always make it fun, singer Mike muses. “Sometimes doing the wrong thing feels right. ‘Guilty Pleasure’ is a song about that little voice inside you saying ‘fuck it’. Don’t succumb to fear, become something scarier.”

Let’s get this party started! The incorrigible headbangers in LEATHER LUNG have heard the pleas of their enthusiastic following to bring forth a new album of substance-fueled boogie metal, and have obliged at last with the raucous new full-length “Graveyard Grin”. The proper debut album from the New England five-piece has everything promised by their previous EP releases: a thick, chugging concoction of stoner metal, doom, and unrelenting sludge, blended into a refreshingly heavy brew with a catchy kick.

LEATHER LUNG are a wild bunch that know the meaning of fun. This is hardly surprising as the band sprang into existence out of friendship and the punk and hardcore scene of Boston in 2012. Starting as a four-piece, they quickly gained an excellent reputation in their local scene, as well as plenty of critical attention through a string of EPs, starting with “Reap What You Sow” (2014) and followed in regular intervals by “Lost in Temptation” (2016), “Lonesome, On’ry and Evil” (2019), and “Dive Bar Devil” (2022).

‘Dive Bar Devil’ is also the name of LEATHER LUNG‘s own brand of lager beer, which has already sold out and been re-brewed multiple times. One may speculate that this is the liquid coming out off the can that the band’s Green Lady mascot of each of their record covers opens forcefully in the artwork of “Graveside Grin”.

Now a five-piece with the addition of a second guitarist, LEATHER LUNG are ready to take on the world. Following crushing live appearances at DesertFest New York and Psycho Las Vegas, the band return with “Graveside Grin”, a massive sign that these freaks from Boston are ready for the road and amped to get the global party going.

THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE ZUGLY Celebrate 15th Anniversary with New Single ‘Walk Around The Porridge’ + B-Sides Album

THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE ZUGLY have been delivering premium class, antiquated rock for almost 15 years straight.

They’ve always been the real deal. True heroes of the Armageddon.

Whenever responsibility came knocking at the door they stuck to their guns and kept living the rock life to the fullest. Their contemptuous look at everything and everyone who doesn’t fit into their world view has always been prominent in their sound, and their musical and lyrical expression has stayed uncompromised.

No one has yet dared to confront their satirical know-it-all attitude, but recently water has started to seep through their seemingly waterproof façade.

Listen to the single here: https://orcd.co/gbzporridge

Band members have on several occasions been observed at the Oslo’s local shopping malls wearing reading glasses, down jackets, and sensible footwear, pushing strollers filled with blaring, chocolate devouring children. With wistful eyes they’re seen pushing strollers through to the suburbs, far away from dirty dens credible dark nooks and shitty toilets.

To mend this rapidly declining rock image they´ve decided to release what they consider to be their worst album so far: A collection of B-songs that have never made the list when assembling the list of Norwegian Grammy nominated classics.

This upcoming album is nothing less of a wonderful bouquet of contemptuous elegies who haven’t yet found a place on the big, dark web.

Truth be told the opinionated armor GBZ has been hiding behind was mostly for show, they’ve always beat around the bush – or as we say in Norwegian: had a walk around the porridge.

And as such, it seems fit to present the soon-to-be hit “Walk Around the Porridge”.

It seems evident that family life in the suburbs has left the self-proclaimed inland misanthropes with somewhat of a setback. Never have a Norwegian band manage to fit so much whining into one song.

The full album will be out April 5th, you may pre-order it from today Feb. 15th.

GBZ IS:
Lars Kristian Gulbrandsen – Bass
Ivar Nikolaisen – Vocals
Eirik Melstrøm – Guitar
Kim Skaug – Guitar
Magne Vannebo – Drums

NO-NE Sign with Epictronic for Upcoming Album “Daisyland”, Launch First Single + Video for Title Track

French Alt. Rock sensation, NO-NE, has recently inked a deal with Epictronic for their upcoming album, “Daisyland,” set to hit the airwaves on March 22, 2024.

The creative genius behind no-ne, Hervé Rico, kickstarted his musical journey back in the late 80s. He began with the pop-rock band Anyway in 1988 and gained major traction after winning a big music contest, landing a performance at UNESCO in Paris. Moving forward, Hervé explored French songwriting, leading to the birth of his project Pupille in 1997.

Despite facing some internal hurdles, Hervé kept the music alive by touring and also dipped into crafting theatrical music while working on his first album, “L’Ambiguïté,” released in 2003 and later made available on streaming platforms in 2022.

After collaborating with actor Jacques Gamblin, Hervé returned to solo work in 2008 and made waves with the EP “I Try This for the First Time” in 2016. The EP even found success on Number One Music’s website, propelling Hervé into the spotlight.

Driven by his solo performances worldwide and a stream of fresh ideas, Hervé geared up for a full album. He began demo recordings for no-ne’s debut album in 2017, finally completing the vibrant masterpiece, “Daisyland,” in early 2022 after facing various interruptions.

The album underwent post-production with the help and advice of esteemed producers Dave Allen and Steve Albini, mastered by Dave Draper, and adorned with captivating artwork by Ania Pawlik. Despite a delay in its promotion, Hervé’s 2023 training in digital music marketing revived the project’s momentum.

“Daisyland,” the brainchild of Hervé Rico, stands as the second album and the inaugural offering by no-ne, his solo venture. Written, composed, arranged, recorded, mixed, and produced entirely by Hervé from 2020 to 2023, this album represents a return to English songwriting, captivating enthusiasts of Indie Pop, Alternative Rock, and 90’s Shoegazing.

Spanning ten soul-stirring tracks, “Daisyland” presents an intimate soundscape oscillating between melancholic and jubilant, all interwoven with the theme of human connections. It’s an emotional mosaic, from subtly somber to sharply sardonic—a genuine slice of life.

Tracklist

  1. Three Cheers for Lovers
  2. Your Face in Blue
