Released today is “My Secret Suicide,” the first single from the MUSIC FROM THE DARK project ! Available on all the best music stores worldwide, on Wanikiya Record’s showcase in Japan and on via Crashsound Distribution.

Single “My Secret Suicide”

  • Despair leads to isolation, isolation to depression and despondency, from this dark point in life the Music From The Dark project takes strength +++
  • A deep black soul duo that draws from bands like the cure, paradise lost, katatonia, joy division to unite in a deep sound of sad and decadent torment.
  • “DEPRESSIVE DARK” this is the genre proposed by MUSIC FROM THE DARK +++.
  • To be in a room and never see an exit…to live in the light but see only darkness around you…a single moment of hope…this is ” My Secret Suicide “.

Line up:
MARCO MAGNONI (VOCALS/GUITARS).
Historical voice/guitarist of BLACKAGE with an active record “New world order” released 1998 x Collapse Records. At that time BLACKAGE will back up Cradle of Filth and left for a tour in which they participated in many festivals including Beach bum in Jesolo with headliner Marilyn Manson. There will be participations in other Goth/Dark projects but the idea of reuniting with his old friend and historical drummer “MAX” to found “Music from the dark ” will happen only in 2020 during the black time of covid..
In that forced period of isolation and total darkness came the band’s most decadent and despair-filled pieces.

MAX TOSI (DRUMS)
Born as a drummer in the very early era of Modenese heavy metal. Of clear Classic Metal mold , shares the very first youthful experiences with “MARCO” establishing a friendship that has always been maintained over the years despite different were projects and musical directions. Always belonging to the underground fabric participates in several projects ranging from Classic Metal , Stooner and finally Horror Rock with local bands preferring projects aimed at the creation of original music. From him the idea to start again from a historical friendship, absolutely trusted with which to concretize musical models and approaches now lost in time.

SPECIAL GUEST “My secret suicide “.
Cristian Agnani “Witchunters”(BASS )
DanicannaDani (KEYBOARDS)

Indie rock band The Intemperate Sons released their new single “Once Again” off the yet to be released, Dark Day’s Night LP (set for early 2024). This track was produced by Amir Derakh and The Intemperate Sons. It was recorded at The Kitchen Recording Studios in Dallas, TX. “Once Again” takes the outsider look of someone hellbent on making the worst of a bad situation and all of the negative energy radiating from their aura. Today, the band released a brand-new music video for the single on YouTube.

“Once Again” can be streamed at:
https://ffm.to/theintemperatesons-onceagain
https://ffm.bio/theintemperatesons

The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, and Denny Sanders at The Label Group. All Intemperate Sons’ tracks are mixed by Amir Derakh in Long Beach, CA. All mastering is done by Mike Marsh Mastering in the U.K.

The Intemperate Sons emerged onto the rock scene in the summer of 2019 in Dallas, TX, to bring their distinct sound to the genre. A deep love for music brought family members Keith Watson (drums), Jake Watson (guitars) and Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys) together along with close friend Mark Marks, who provides the groove on bass to unite everything together. The band’s sound has been described as a 90’s alternative style that is obsessed with the 70’s.

Keith is well acquainted with entertaining massive crowds of concert goers and has played with many successful bands in Dallas, such as Gun Hill, Natural Born Thrillers and Agents of Solace, on top of opening for Lynch Mob, Joe Lynn Turner and Sponge. He is the primary lyricist for the band and has written the music for some of their most successful songs, including “Dust to Dust,” “The Color Within,” and “Unrealized.”

Multi-talented and gifted with the ability to play various instruments, Max is also the lead vocalist of the group. Along with being musically dexterous, he has also collaborated with Keith to write lyrics on the released songs “Going Crazy” and “Way Back When.” In the studio, Max usually surmounts expectations and goes above and beyond to prepare prior to a session with his own vocal harmonies.

Jake is the song architect of the Sons and extremely instrumental in the crafting of the music. His inventive ways of bringing lyrics to life in clever ways are unprecedented and fascinating to see in the studio setting. He is a prolific writer of music as well and is credited with helping create the songs “What’s Done is Done,” “Remission,” “Way Back When” and “Wading in the Gray.” Both Max and he play lead guitar on many of the songs as well. The other members of the band fondly refer to him as the “art director” since he enjoys taking charge in those areas for the group.

Prolific and unifying, Mark is an accomplished bass player and well known in Dallas. He was in the regionally successful band, Haggard, and had opened for Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. His input in song writing has been invaluable to the process of creating captivating melodies.

Despite the pandemic putting a pause on many major events, The Intemperate Sons lived up to their name and let nothing hold them back from making music. Constantly hard at work in the studio, they have collaborated with Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy, Rough Cutt) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy). Both have lent their musical talents to various songs and ultimately have brought the Sons on to their label, Frame|Work. This led the band to also recently join the management roster at The Label Group. Ryan worked with Amir to produce the band’s upcoming track, “Game of Keep Away,” and has had a huge impact on the group. He’s been especially influential on Max’s vocal melodies and delivery. Amir also plays guitar on this latest ballad and has been mixing all of the band’s music as well as performing on multiple songs.

Another notable collaboration has been with Tony Franklin (The Firm, Roy Harper, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Whitesnake), primarily on the first album, The Color Within. He has been a valuable friend of the band and has played bass on some of their best tracks from that album, including “Running Man,” “Dust to Dust” and “The Color Within.”

The Intemperate Sons’ take on alternative rock is a dark and powerful concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge concepts. The band has earned a serious reputation for writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style, which has a retro vibe with many guitar-driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate at a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and even R.E.M.

The Intemperate Sons Next Show:
Fri Mar 1 @ Hanover’s Draught Haus in Pflugerville, TX

The Intemperate Sons are:
Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)
Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)
Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)
Mark Marks (bass)

US Alternative Rockers HOPE DARLING Sign with Epictronic, to Re-Release Album “ENSŌ” on March 15th

Epictronic is ecstatic to announce the signing of the extraordinary alternative rock band, HOPE DARLING. This groundbreaking collaboration will reintroduce the band’s album ENSŌ, scheduled for re-release on March 15, 2024.

The band, when describing their album ENSŌ, states:

This album is a culmination of 3 years of songwriting, recording, arranging, and lots of patience. It starts with a burst of energy shortly followed by a melodic twist that pulls on the heartstrings and then kicks back into high gear. It is a collection of 9 songs that we handpicked from our library of music to form what we call the ENSŌ album. Many meanings come from the word ENSŌ, but for our band and our music, the definition that we pull from means “to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create”.

Inspiration comes in many forms; it could be a person, a place, a memory, an experience, or even a word. Inspiration can come unexpectedly or be something we didn’t want to be inspired by, like the loss of a friend or family member, but the feelings pour out, a melody or words take shape, and the next thing you know you have molded a song.
These songs and this album are dedicated to those moments, experiences, and memories of the people that inspired us. As songwriters, we find satisfaction and gratitude from a listener who takes a moment to tell us how much they connected with one of our songs, that they didn’t just hear the song but they listened.

The ENSŌ album is what we are sharing at this moment, but rest assured we have more music and are already planning a new album. Under the Epictronic flag, our band Hope Darling will be able to share our music, our sound, and our band with the world.

Tracklist

  1. Burning Light
  2. Don’t Wake Me Up
  3. Lifeline
  4. Lotus
  5. Firefight
  6. Say A Prayer
  7. Rain
  8. It Was Always You
  9. Absolution (One Last Breath)

Hope Darling is a Florida-based rock quintet that blends passionate vocals, immersive melodies, and a captivating full-band sound that’s enchanted audiences for over five years. Led by Gabriel Sanchez and comprising Jason Donadio, Jeff Durso, Frank Dancey, and Richard Gomez, the band draws from diverse influences, spanning Rock, Classical, Reggae, and Hip-Hop.

Their compelling songwriting and exceptional musicianship earned them a Breakout Band nomination in 2015 and saw their single “Lifeline” featured in Spike Lee’s Netflix series “She’s Gotta Have It,” gaining local and national airplay.

Navigating through thoughtful lyricism with incredibly moving, uplifting, and energizing musicianship, Hope Darling has already amassed an impressive catalog of achievements, but this is just the beginning.
