Italian melodic death-doom force Shores of Null is set to bring their beauty to the Caribbean sea as they announce they will be performing at this year’s 70000TONS OF METAL, the world’s biggest heavy metal cruise, which will also mark the band’s very first appearance outside of Europe. It will be intimate, powerful, and cathartic.

70000TONS OF METAL is part of the Shores of Null’s tour plans for 2024, which also features performances at the most renowned metal festivals in Europe including Hellfest (France), Rock Imperium (Spain), and more to be announced. The band will be promoting their latest acclaimed fourth record “The Loss of Beauty” (Spikerot Records) mentioned among the best metal records of 2023 by fans and media outlets all across the world (Metal Hammer, Angry Metal Guy among others).

In addition, Shores Of Null will take the opportunity to perform at 70000TONS OF METAL their iconic 38-minute long track “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying)” in its entirety: a blend of funeral doom, gothic atmospheres and emotional lyricism, which perfectly summarizes the skills of the Italian quintet.

“We can’t wait to embark on such a unique festival experience and be in so close contact with all the fans and the festival attendees. For us, it’s a dream come true to bring our music to the States, and we will do our best to please the audience with our two different sets”. adds bassist Matteo Capozucca

Shores of Null stand out with their ability to blend seemingly disparate elements into their sound, overwhelmingly heavy and soothing at the same time: blackened aggression stands alongside gothic-doom sections without either sounding out of place.

ENEMY OF FATE Release Showstopping Cover of Rock Classic ‘Breath’

Based in Sacramento, California, female-fronted alternative new metal band ENEMY OF FATE has released their new single “Breath” today January 26th. Led by vocal extraordinaire and singer/songwriter Tiffany Fabiani, Enemy of Fate follows up the success of their previous releases with another touching and intimate story alike tracks “Dear Dad” and “Devil’s Prey.”

A cover of the Breaking Benjamin song, Enemy of Fate’s version of “Breath” takes on a whole new approach to the rock classic. Their version is a unique combo between fast-paced slamming drums and moving vocals, and yearning lyrics. With female vocals front-and-center, the track takes on a whole new tempo and energy than what we hear in the original. “Breath” is a personal story of love and loss, and Enemy of Fate hopes their version will touch others in the way that they were affected by the original.

Lyrics like “I see nothing in your eyes, and the more I see the less I like. Is it over yet? In my head” bring a powerful sense of emotion for the listeners, and Fabiani’s booming vocals hammer the emotive nature of the track, making it impossible not to be moved by their rendition.

Singer, songwriter, and frontwoman Tiffany Fabiani is behind the true genius of this cover. Writing all of her own original music, her powerful vocal range and artistry shines through in all of her work. This song is the perfect cover to follow up the intimate stories she has told through her songs, most notably in “Dear Dad” and “Devil’s Prey.” This is just the start of a great year for the group, and we can’t wait to hear what more they have in store.

About Enemy of Fate

Based in Sacramento, CA, Enemy of Fate is led by singer and songwriter Tiffany Fabiani. Her vocals have astounded audiences for years in the making, receiving comparisons to artists like Adele, Lady Gaga, Annie Lennox, and Evanescence. Writing all of her own original music, her distinct voice and artistry sets her apart from those in the genre and gives her a unique edge in alternative new metal.

After auditioning for NBC’s “The Voice” back in 2019 and 2021 and not advancing, Fabiani almost gave up on her dream of making music, but strong encouragement from her husband Mickey helped her continue her career. Thankfully, soon after, she returned to the studio and recorded her successful track “Dear Dad” – an intimate and personal song about her relationship with her real father. The success of this track, and Mickey’s continued support, was the push Tiffany needed to continue her passion, and since then has released more music that speaks to intimate stories that are often difficult to share. Tiffany’s music helps women around the world struggling with similar issues find their voice, and she hopes to bring action and positive change with each and every release.

The wait is over; death metal battalion VITRIOL’s highly anticipated new album, ‘Suffer & Become,’ is now available worldwide via Century Media Records! In celebration, the band is now revealing an unnerving music video for the new single, “He Will Fight Savagely.” In this clip, Vitriol embodies the album’s concept of suffering, while turning that pain into pleasure by way of torturous suspension art. There were no special effects or camera tricks; the experience was authentic and genuine. The clip, which was creative directed by MM Fabrications and Mark Blanchard and shot and edited by Alexander Bemis, can be found at THIS LOCATION.

VITRIOL comments, “‘Savagely’ closes out ‘Suffer’ with an explosion of resolve and survival in the wake of navigating my lesser darkness during what could be described as a spiritual crisis. It sees me reminding myself of a commitment to a life of fruitful conflict, confrontation, and growth. It is about championing actualization over tranquility, and welcoming the suffering of the aspiring overman. Father, I am with you now!”

‘Suffer & Become’ is now available HERE. The album will be available digitally as well as in Standard CD Jewelcase, Ltd. Deep Blood Red LP (All ex-US Retail), Orange Crush LP (All US Retail), and Red / Yellow / Black Transp. Splatter LP (Band Exclusive).

In addition, VITRIOL will be embarking on the Chaos and Carnage 2024 tour this spring in support of Cattle Decapitation, Carnifex, Rivers of Nihil, Humanity’s Last Breath, and Zenith Passage along with Face Yourself. The epic death metal trek will kick off on April 30 in Mesa, AZ and will conclude nearly a month later on May 26 in Las Vegas. For Portland, Oregon’s VITRIOL, nothing comes easy. Nothing. The title of their second Century Media album, ‘Suffer & Become,’ says it all. “The title really sums it up,” says guitarist and vocalist Kyle Rasmussen. “I pushed things to a point while making this album where it almost became untenable. Things that were supposed to be done in weeks took months. It wasn’t easy, but I think it was suffering well spent.”

At the core of ‘Suffer & Become’ lies a profound sense of extremity and unease. This very essence defines Vitriol as the vanguard in death metal’s evolutionary path—a sonic landscape characterized by its profound darkness, density, and the infusion of nanotechnological precision interwoven with intense, seething emotions. Not easy listening in the slightest. Since forming in 2013, Rasmussen and longtime co-conspirator, bassist, and co-vocalist Adam Roethlisberger have worked with a single-minded vision: to push the genre to its breaking point and invent a new uncompromising paradigm in the process. VITRIOL is a masterclass in pain – and that’s just their jumping-off point.

Recounting VITRIOL’s initial journey into the outer fringes of extremity, Rasmussen is characteristically thoughtful. “I was starving for something that didn’t pull any punches,” says Kyle of VITRIOL’s caustic mission statement, which detonated into the realm of extreme metal with 2013’s ‘Antichrist’ demo. “Death metal was important to me because it speaks to an aggression, a frustration that I had when I was younger. It wasn’t just a sonic connection but an emotional connection, which made music almost a means to an end. What I saw happening in extreme metal at the time was almost a removal of emotion in favor of musicality, that fire, that piss and vinegar spirit. Basically, I wanted something that wanted me dead.”

With 2017’s ‘Pain Will Define Their Death’ EP, VITRIOL took its spot as one of the underground’s most uncompromising exponents, leading them to join forces with Century Media. The resultant album, 2019’s “To Bathe from the Throat of Cowardice,” was nothing short of a crucial next step for the band and the genre itself. Decibel Magazine said, “Vitriol leave no doubt they are one of the best the genre has to offer, with shades of Nile, Hate Eternal, and Anaal Nathrakh frequently peeking through.” Hitting the road that year, at first in Europe with Nile and then in the US with Cattle Decapitation and Atheist, and then Vader before the onset of Covid, VITRIOL was quick to establish themselves as much of an uncompromising force onstage as they are on record.

“Doing ‘Black Seeds of Vengeance’ alongside Karl Sanders [of Nile] onstage in Europe on our very first tour was nothing short of a ‘pinch me’ moment,” Kyle recounts from VITRIOL’s early touring days. “More recently, we were touring with Morbid Angel, and Steve Tucker, who is my favorite Morbid Angel vocalist, came out of his dressing room in a VITRIOL t-shirt and exclaimed that we were one of his favorite new bands! That blew my mind as a fan, first and foremost – a total ‘Holy Fuck!’ moment.”

‘Suffer & Become’ is nothing short of a benchmark for VITRIOL (rounded out by guitarist Daniel Martinez and Matt Kilner). It’s as dense and blackened as anything to erupt from Rasmussen’s vision of sonic disorder. From the onset of the opening track, “Shame and Its Afterbirth,” there’s a new sense of openness, grandeur, and occasional beauty in VITRIOL’s aural arsenal. “I wanted to have an album that had a stark duality to it,” says Kyle. “Very high highs and very low lows. We’re very familiar with the lows but not so much with the triumphant highs. I wanted the album to have more of a sense of optimism to it, both lyrically and musically. I wanted the album to convey a sense of optimism that probably gets lost in the black maelstrom that is the first album.”

Produced by Rasmussen and mixed by Dave Otero (Archspire, Cattle Decapitation), ‘Suffer &

Become’ isn’t merely the sound of VITRIOL upping the ante in death metal’s musical arms race; it is also the sound of salvation for its driving force. “Living in the world of that first album was very difficult for me,” says Rasmussen. “It’s not a nice place. It was very intentionally imbalanced in the same way a horror film is imbalanced. I wanted a healthier world for me to live in, and I believe I achieved that.”

Not that the writing and recording of ‘Suffer & Become’ was anything short of soul-rending. Rasmussen labored over the creation of the album in the studio, on tour in hotel rooms, to the point of painstaking obsessiveness. Kyle is straightforward about the grueling record-making process and its personal impact. “The record feels a bit like a Jungian Dante’s Inferno,” he states. “Plumbing the circles of my personal, psychological, and spiritual hell and then purposely refocusing it so it’s not the unhinged, dark catharsis of the first album. This record is a lot more vulnerable.”

Songs like “Weaponized Loss” or “The Flowers of Sadism” are what Kyle describes as a “dark baptism” in comparison to the absolute darkness of “To Bathe…”. The sound of VITRIOL remains as joyless and dark as ever, but with a glimmer of hope. VITRIOL has taken its trauma-put-to-sound approach to the next level and discovered a new sense of beauty in the blackness. ‘Suffer & Become’ is death metal with a bloody, beating heart.

SILIUS have released their first single and video ‘Shell Shocked’ feat. the new band members Benji (vocals) and Manu (Drums) since the line-up change in late 2023!

The band, comments on the new song: “We are all shell shocked. All of us somehow. By all the shit we see on television, social media and other dubious websites. This song is about war and all the misery it brings. It’s about the soldiers that lost their lives on the war field, and for those who made it out but still suffer. Shellshock is supposed to be a mind-blowing nuclearholical middle-finger bomb against the narrowminded, violence – fulfilled, self-righteous spirit of human behavior.
 NO GLORIFICATION – JUST DOCUMENTATION!”

VNTER Announce “Unfolding” EP & First Single ‘Holy Freedom’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on January 28, 2024
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: VNTER. Leave a comment

Swedish arena rockers VNTER, feat. ex-members of White Limo, have announced the release of their new EP ‘Unfolding‘ on March 22th, 2024. The first single and video for the song ‘Holy Freedom‘ will be out on February 9th, 2024.

The first single ‘Holy Freedom‘ can be pre-saved here: https://share.amuse.io/track/vnter-holy-freedom

Tracklist:

1. Forever never ends
2. Pieces of me
3. Holy Freedom
4. New beginnings
5. Euphoria

‘Unfolding‘ was recorded in Studio Soundport in Ulricehamn, Sweden by Micke Andersson – who also produced, mixed and mastered the album. You can also hear him sing backup vocals and playing synth on ”Forever never ends” and piano on ”Pieces of me”.

VNTER is:

Andy Larsson – Guitar and Vocals
Oliver Gonzales Stiller – Bass
Alexander Wedding – Drums and backup vocals
Rickard Borg – Lead Guitar

VNTER was formed in Gothenburg, Sweden in November 2017 by singer and guitar player Andy. Since then they have done a lot of interviews, radio and live shows both in Sweden and outside of Sweden. With their explosive, high energy rock made for both big and small stages the now aim to get a bigger audience.

The band is also an extension and continuation of the previous band White Limo that had a few successful years and was put to its final rest in 2016. Andy took the best songs that were written and released with White Limo, gave them a make over and re-recorded them as VNTER which became the first album ”When it all comes down”. Previous to that they released two singles ”Make it up” and ”Queen”.

They have now just finished a brand new 5 song EP that is more commercial than they ever done. The band challenged themselves and a unique, brave, huge sound came out of it. You probably have heard it before, but then again you probably haven’t. Recorded, produced, mixed & mastered in Studio Soundport in Ulricehamn by Micke Andersson who have a hand in the bands two previous albums.

The last album ”Overcoming” was written and recorded with only one member in the band (Andy) and was determined that VNTER was now a project where invited friends could come and join the recording sessions and live sessions. However Andy decided that it´s way more fun to have band members and begun the search in the early 2023.

And after two years hiatus from where the band was on hold and all the existing members left in one way or another they are back with new music, three new members Oliver Gonzales on bass, Alexander Weding on drums and Rickard Borg on lead guitar, new energy and more determination to play huge shows.

The mission from day one is to deliver in every aspect, both live on stage and on tape.

Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Muse and Queens of the stone age. These are the influences that helped form the shape and idea of the band and the will to play worldwide. That and a constant drive to be better, do more and write really good music.

”If you take the blue pill you will wake up in your bed believing whatever you want to believe but if you take the red pill you will stay in VNTER´s world and they will show you how deep the rabbit hole goes”.
