TRENCHWAR Share Title Track + Video of Upcoming Debut LP “Overlords Of Cold”

Dutch collective TRENCHWAR unveil “Overlords of Cold”, the second single and title track from their forthcoming debut album, scheduled for release on September 18th, 2026 via Time To Kill Records.

Offering a deeper glimpse into the band’s creative vision, “Overlords of Cold” is built around monolithic riffs and an ever-present sense of impending collapse. Drawing on the members’ extensive backgrounds within the Dutch metal and hardcore underground, the track avoids easy formulas in favour of songwriting that is deliberate, tightly woven and rich in tension.

Rather than simply overwhelming through sheer force, the song thrives on friction: lumbering passages suddenly give way to bursts of violent momentum, while bleak textures and jagged rhythmic turns constantly reshape its landscape. The result is a composition that feels austere yet gripping, where every movement sharpens the impact of the next.

The band commented:

“‘Overlords of Cold’ is the towering title track from our debut full-length, combining suffocating sludge weight with the violent urgency of metallic hardcore. Throughout the song, we move between crushing grooves and relentless aggression to create an apocalyptic vision of ancient, godlike forces spreading corruption and destruction.
Dark, oppressive and uncompromising, the song perfectly embodies the bleak atmosphere of the album while representing the heaviest and most commanding side of Trenchwar”.

Tracklist:

1. Somp Stomp
2. Black Heart
3. Overlords of Cold
4. Dust is Dust Again
5. Solace in Sulfur
6. Dread of Death
7. Funeral Hymn
8. Het Stof Daalt
9. The Center of Infinity
10. Martelaar

Formed as an unholy alliance of seasoned veterans from the hardcore and metal underground,TRENCHWAR bring together current and former members of influential acts such as Backfire, Born From Pain, Cliteater, Herder, No Turning Back, Reaching Forward and Modern Life Is War. Built on this deep-rooted experience, the band delivers a harsh and uncompromising form of metal-influenced heavy hardcore, shaped by a darker and more introspective edge. Their sound combines raw, physical aggression with dense, ominous riffing, resulting in a style that both acknowledges its origins and pushes into more suffocating territory.

The project initially took shape with the recording of “Seismic Upheaval”, a six-track statement that established the foundation of the band’s identity. That groundwork has now evolved into “Overlords of Cold”, the first full-length written collectively by the complete lineup. The album expands and sharpens the band’s vision, fusing the crushing weight of the NOLA tradition with the unrelenting force of 1990s hardcore, evoking the spirit of bands such as Integrity, Cold as Life and Merauder.

With this signing, TRENCHWAR join the roster of Time To Kill Records, further cementing their position within the international heavy hardcore and extreme music underground.

Jimmy Kay from The Metal Voice and co-host Queensryche singer Todd la Torre  spoke to former WASP guitarist Chris Holmes on a live chat about his recent prostate diagnoses and his upcoming music with T3rminal.

Watch the interview below.

When asked about his Health

“What happened was Iast February I went to the (throat) doctor (in France) to check on my throat  (cancer remission). I told the Doctor about a year ago I was Peeing weird, I was waking up three, four times a night and (peeing), never done that. Wake up wiz and go back to sleep. And I told him I think I have a problem down there. And the doctor said I think you are just getting old, that is just your prostate. This time around I did a full body scan, past my knees, usually I just do my neck, to see if my cancer is coming back. So I went in to see the doctor and I thought he was going to say, all is good, see you next year but he goes everything is not cool. He pulled up a screen and showed me, see that you got prostate cancer. My Dad had it and they say it is hereditary.”

” I did (and paid) for a biopsy and we only found out I only had emergency health insurance that only pays for the radiation that is it, not for any other scans, not the medicine, not travelling to the hospital. So I  cannot perform (work) and I cannot leave the country or they cut me off. Last month Sarah (Holmes’ manager / wife) and I  were sitting  adding up everything (Bills) to see if we can get through the year and there is just no way we are going to get close. No possible way and we had to do a GO fund for me to make it through. I’m getting through it. A lot of people are donating and helping out and I appreciate it. “

When asked about His thoughts on W.A.S.P. sharing his GOfund me

“I appreciate it very much. My (Blackie) Lawless and I don’t get along  and we have our different views, I don’t play in the band now. I’m an O.G. ( Original WASP member), I’m an original gangster of the band. The people who like the first four, five albums, whatever I played on, if they still like me as a human being, I want to reach out to as many people as I can. I appreciate it.”

Former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes, 68, was diagnosed with prostate cancer and is undergoing radiotherapy in France. His wife, Catherine, launched a fundraiser to manage accumulating medical debt. This marks his second cancer battle, following a successful recovery from throat cancer in 2022

HARPYIE to Release Farewell Album “Nach Uns Die Sintflut” on 11th December

‘Nach Uns Die Sintflut’, HARPYIE’s farewell album, is due for release on 11 December via Metalville.

After sixteen years, nine studio albums and hundreds of concerts, HARPYIE are bringing their extraordinary band history to a deliberate close with “Nach Uns Die Sintflut”. Yet this album is far more than a farewell – it is a homecoming after a long journey.

Inspired by the idea of the Odyssey, “Nach Uns Die Sintflut” tells the story of arriving after years full of new beginnings, storms and unforgettable moments. It is about friendship, growing older, letting go and the realisation that every journey finds its rightful harbour. The anchor cross that accompanies the album symbolises hope, gratitude and the peace that follows the storm.

Musically, HARPYIE once again bring together everything that has set the band apart over the years: powerful metal riffs, rousing folk melodies and grand anthems meet a new, more personal side. More melancholic, more emotional and yet as energetic as ever, the result is an album that equally invites you to celebrate, reflect and sing along.

“Nach Uns Die Sintflut” is the legacy of a band that, over sixteen years, has constantly reinvented itself and has now consciously decided to drop anchor. Above all, however, it is a thank you to the people who made this journey
possible – to their crew, their companions and their fans.

One final album. One last great journey. At anchor in their home port.

Following the recent announcement of their collaboration with Wanikiya Record/Promotion, Irish groove metal newcomers Charnel Crown are ready to unveil the next chapter of their journey with the release of their brand-new single “Such Is Life”, available from August 1, 2026.

Serving as the title track of the band’s highly anticipated debut EP, “Such Is Life” offers the first powerful taste of what’s to come when the full release arrives on August 15, 2026.

Hailing from Dublin, Charnel Crown are quickly establishing themselves as one of the most promising new names in the European groove metal scene. Combining crushing riffs, relentless grooves, raw energy and uncompromising songwriting, the band channels the struggles, determination and emotions of everyday working-class life into a modern, aggressive and authentic sound.

“Such Is Life” perfectly captures the band’s identity and artistic vision. Heavy, honest and emotionally charged, the single embodies everything Charnel Crown stand for:

No masks.
No trends.
No compromises.
Just pure metal.

The release of the single also marks the official beginning of the international promotional campaign managed by Wanikiya Record/Promotion, which will support the band through an extensive network of rock and metal webzines, magazines, FM and online radio stations, journalists, bloggers and specialized media worldwide.

Rather than focusing on a short-lived promotional burst, the campaign has been designed as a long-term strategy aimed at steadily building momentum through reviews, interviews, radio airplay, features and continuous media exposure leading up to—and beyond—the release of the full EP.

The countdown has officially begun.

On August 15, 2026, Charnel Crown will unleash their debut EP “Such Is Life”.

Melodic alternative metal band Breaking In A Sequence released their new single “Don’t Run” via TLG|ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group. The track serves as the second single from the band’s completed full-length album INANIMATE, due out later this year.

“‘Don’t Run’ was the first song written with new drummer BC Vaught. We didn’t write anything for the first year and a half after to give us time to meld together. The song carries the NuMetal torch from the early 2000’s with a perfect blend of melody, groove and aggression. It has a rawness that is absent in today’s music,” shares the band.

The single was produced by Chris Collier alongside the band and mixed and mastered by Collier as well. The release marks the beginning of a new chapter for BIAS as they build momentum toward the full album launch.

DROWNING POOL & SALIVA Announce Tour Celebrating 25 Years of “Sinner” & “Every Six Seconds”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 2, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Drowning Pool, SALIVA. Leave a comment

Twenty-five years after releasing two of the most recognizable albums in modern hard rock, Drowning Pool and Saliva are joining forces for a special co-headlining U.S. tour celebrating the legacies of Sinner and Every Six Seconds.

Launching October 8 and running through October 25, the tour brings together two bands whose breakout records became the soundtrack of the early 2000s. Rather than looking back, both acts are bringing the energy that made them festival favorites while continuing to evolve with new music, new lineups, and decades of road-tested performances.

Released in 2001, Drowning Pool’s debut album Sinner became one of the defining heavy records of its era, propelled by timeless anthems including “Bodies,” “Tear Away,” and “Sinner.” The album helped launch the band onto the global stage and remains a cornerstone of modern hard rock.

That same year, Saliva exploded onto radio with Every Six Seconds, delivering unforgettable hits including “Click Click Boom,” “Your Disease,” and “Always.” The album established the band as one of the era’s biggest rock acts and continues to resonate with fans more than two decades later.

“We are beyond grateful and thankful to still be here rockin out with everyone after 25 Years of Letting the Bodies Hit the Floor!  Looking forward to sharing the stage on tour again with our friends in Saliva performing the 25th Anniversary of two amazing albums! A very sincere thank you to all of the amazing friends and family who have supported us throughout this Rock & Roll Roller coaster ride that we’ve all had together! Come share this once in a lifetime experience of celebrating 25 years of Sinner with us!” says CJ Pierce.

Bobby Amaru shares, “I joined Saliva in 2011, when it had already been out for a decade, but that’s exactly what makes this anniversary so special. Great music has a life far beyond the people who create it. It belongs to the fans who have kept these songs alive for 25 years. Getting to celebrate this anniversary alongside Drowning Pool and two of the defining rock records from 2001 is something I don’t take for granted. I know Wayne Swinny and Dave Williams would be proud to see these songs still bringing people together all these years later.”

He adds, “I know some people will always have opinions about who should be on stage. I respect that. But this tour isn’t about reliving the past or cashing in on nostalgia. It’s about honoring the music and giving the fans a chance to celebrate 2 great records. Twenty-five years later, that’s what this is about, not the members, but the music. And as long as people keep showing up and singing every word, we’ll keep doing everything we can to honor that legacy.”

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Sinner, Drowning Pool will also bring an extremely limited run of 25th Anniversary Sinner vinyl to the tour. These are the final remaining copies available drawn from the band’s own personal reserve after the anniversary pressing sold out online. The vinyl will be available exclusively at the merchandise booth while supplies last, giving fans one last opportunity to own a piece of Sinner history.

While the tour celebrates the past, Saliva is charging into the future. The band will release its highly anticipated new studio album, Breaking Through, on August 14 via Judge & Jury Records, giving fans a chance to hear brand-new material alongside the songs that helped define an entire generation of rock.

Fans can expect career-spanning sets from both bands featuring the albums that launched them into rock history, fan favorites, and newer material, making each night both a celebration and a reminder that neither band has slowed down.

In addition to the anniversary tour dates, both Drowning Pool and Saliva will perform select headlining and festival appearances throughout the fall.

Joint VIP experiences featuring both Drowning Pool and Saliva will also be available for fans looking to celebrate this milestone tour in an even bigger way. VIP packages including exclusive experiences and limited offerings will go on sale soon.
