‘Nach Uns Die Sintflut’, HARPYIE’s farewell album, is due for release on 11 December via Metalville.

After sixteen years, nine studio albums and hundreds of concerts, HARPYIE are bringing their extraordinary band history to a deliberate close with “Nach Uns Die Sintflut”. Yet this album is far more than a farewell – it is a homecoming after a long journey.

Inspired by the idea of the Odyssey, “Nach Uns Die Sintflut” tells the story of arriving after years full of new beginnings, storms and unforgettable moments. It is about friendship, growing older, letting go and the realisation that every journey finds its rightful harbour. The anchor cross that accompanies the album symbolises hope, gratitude and the peace that follows the storm.

Musically, HARPYIE once again bring together everything that has set the band apart over the years: powerful metal riffs, rousing folk melodies and grand anthems meet a new, more personal side. More melancholic, more emotional and yet as energetic as ever, the result is an album that equally invites you to celebrate, reflect and sing along.

“Nach Uns Die Sintflut” is the legacy of a band that, over sixteen years, has constantly reinvented itself and has now consciously decided to drop anchor. Above all, however, it is a thank you to the people who made this journey
possible – to their crew, their companions and their fans.

Harpyie releases “Atreju”, the new single from the upcoming studio album “Voodoo” which will be released on 25th October on Metalville Records.

Who hasn’t heard of The Neverending Story? Mythical creatures, enchanted worlds of fantasy and an underprivileged boy who has to make every imaginable sacrifice to save them. Why him? Is he a tool? Is he self-determined or femd? In ‘Atreju’, Harpy sing a hymn to all the everyday heroes who sometimes ask themselves these questions and yet carry on and continue to carry the light across the river, even if nobody will probably remember them later…

Harpyie – the continuously up-and-coming folk metal band from East Westphalia has played its way into the hearts of the German metal community with its authenticity and consistently individual approach. With “Schildmaid”, Harpyie release their “ode to women”. With motifs from the emancipated Viking world, the “woman in Valhalla” becomes a symbol of feminism and poses the question of the degradation of men to the elevation of women. Embedded in power metal and medieval rock elements, Harpyie deliver a powerful response to one of the omnipresent challenges facing our world today – in keeping with the spirit of their new album “Voodoo”.

HARPYIE release “Voodoo” feat. Benji Webbe / SKINDRED, the third single and title track from the upcoming studio album “Voodoo” which will be released on 25th October on Metalville Records.

Harpyie celebrate a macabre, dark ritual together with Benji Webbe from Skindred and resurrect Papa Legba, a spirit or saint in voodoo: As a seducer of the dark side, the “Keeper of the Crossroads” enchants with South American sounds and a nu metal flavour. As in the songs on the album, life affirmation and artistic outcry come together in the style of voodoo, where roses and skulls exist side by side.
