NECROCCULTUS was formed in 2003 as a five-piece band consisting of César (guitar), Omar (bass), Chago (guitar), Daniel (drums), and Isaías (growls). During the following three years, this original line-up recorded several releases, including the brutal full-length “Encircling The Mysterious Necrorevelation” (2005) for Sempiternal Productions (US), a 7” EP for Blood Harvest Records (Sweden), a three-way split CD with Sanctifier and Throneum on Warfuck Records (Colombia), and a split LP with Shub-Niggurath released by Iron Bonehead Productions (Germany).

Between 2006 and 2009, the band went through a series of line-up changes while continuing to perform live. Among their most notable appearances was “Glorifying the Great Beast” in 2009, where they shared the stage in Berlin, Germany, with bands such as Necros Christos, Kaamos, Graveyard, and others.

In 2012, NECROCCULTUS recorded another 12” EP, “Solemnelohim, Bringer Of Death”, once again released via Blood Harvest Records. Further line-up changes followed, and in 2020 the band unleashed the demo “Unburied Hellish Presences”, released by the Italian label Unholy Domain Records. Shortly after, due to the global pandemic, the band disbanded.

In 2024, founding member Isaías H. reactivated NECROCCULTUS alongside a new line-up: Roel (guitar), Néstor (bass), Alex (guitar), Dante (drums), and Isaías (growls). After performing several live shows, the band entered the studio between July and October 2025 to record their new abominable full-length, “The Afterdeath Blackness”, featuring eight tracks of bestial, unholy death metal.

ANGUISH FORCE Return with New Album “Atzwang II”, Out May 20th

Wanikiya Record/Promotion is proud to announce the upcoming release of “Atzwang II”, the brand-new and highly anticipated album by ANGUISH FORCE, a historic force within the Italian underground metal scene.

The album will be available starting May 20 in all physical formats (LP, MC, CD), as well as digitally, offering fans a complete experience faithful to the most authentic spirit of metal. Notably, the CD version will include an exclusive bonus track, not featured on the vinyl edition.

Ahead of the album release, the official music video for the track “Stones to Destroy” will premiere on May 11. This will be the first of two planned videos, ready to kick off a new sonic chapter filled with power and identity.

THE RETURN TO ATZWANG
With “Atzwang II,” Anguish Force return to explore the dark and captivating atmospheres of their narrative universe, continuing the journey that began years ago with the first chapter.

At the core of the concept once again lies Atzwang—a place both real and symbolic, steeped in legends, tragedies, and mysteries intertwined with the band’s imagination. The result is a work deeply rooted in memory, tradition, and the darker side of local history, transformed into an epic and immersive metal story.

The album cover further reinforces this vision: it features the historic Atzwang arch, depicted in a dark and unsettling form. In the Middle Ages, this location served as a mandatory passage point where travelers were required to pay a toll—a perfect symbol of transition, control, and fate, now reinterpreted through the band’s dark aesthetic.

AN UNDERGROUND LEGEND
Founded in 1995 in Campodazzo (Bolzano) by guitarist Luigi Guarino D., Anguish Force have represented one of the most authentic and consistent acts in the Italian metal scene for over three decades.

With a sound blending traditional heavy metal, speed, power, and thrash metal, the band has built a solid and recognizable identity over time, drawing inspiration from iconic ’80s acts such as Running Wild, Helloween, and Judas Priest.

The transition from Anguish to Anguish Force in 2002 marked the beginning of a new era, solidifying a mission that has remained unchanged:
pure, direct, uncompromising metal.

Season of Mist is proud to welcome Kriigerkvlt.

Formed in 2025, Kriigerkvlt is a new collective that features Heilung founding member Kai Uwe Faust and members of the Heilung warrior choir. The collective debuted live on stage in Copenhagen alongside industrial doom raver John Cxnnor and the occult feminist black metal band Witch Club Satan with an exclusive premiere of their collaborative song “Hypothermia”.    

Kriigerkvlt is not tied to a specific cultural identity, historical time period or genre. They explore a wide range of expressions: harsh gutturals, throat singing, drone, piano, harp, marimba, guitar and nyckelharpa. No matter what form they take, their focus remains rooted in intensity, atmosphere and the spirit of collaboration.  

To commemorate their signing to Season of Mist, today, Kriigerkvlt are releasing their first official single. From its opening bells, “Mahakala” ventures deep into a realm of fire, only to emerge transformed after a confrontation with one’s shadow self.

“We are excited to announce our signing with Season of Mist”, Kriigerkvlt vocalist Kai Uwe Faust says. “We have seen firsthand how the label has supported Heilung’s artistic freedom. As a flexible collective that specializes in extreme vocal textures and unconventional soundscapes, we felt that was also important for Kriigerkvlt”.

The video for “Mahakala” was directed and filmed by Kai Uwe Faust. It was edited by Christian Medea and Anda Lupulet.

“Mahakala” invokes a wrathful deity from Tibetan Buddhism. But even though his appearance is frightening, Kriigerkvlt reveal that Mahakala is not evil. Instead, their new single is a reminder that the real enemy lies within ourselves. “Our attachments, our delusions, our inner chaos, these are the shadows Mahakala consumes in his black fire”, Faust says.

Kriigerkvlt approach “Mahakala” with deep respect. The song is not an act of cultural appropriation but a deeply felt offering. Martial drums, ritualistic chanting, harsh vocals, heaves of bass, fragile piano and choral singing come together to honor what Mahakala truly represents. Long before his appearance in Buddhism, he was revered amongst the Bön shamanic tradition as a spirit of protection and wild nature. His black skin represents absorption, swallowing duality, illusions and all sense of fragmentation.

“Kriigerkvlt taps into Mahakala not as outsiders, but as seekers of the same fire that burns in every human tradition”, Faust says. “The song is intense, raw and uncompromising. It evokes the confrontation with the shadow self, the spiritual warrior’s path and the dissolving of the ego”.
