Hard rock veterans SPREAD EAGLE are thrilled to release their new album ‘The Brutal Divine,’ out now via Frontiers Music Srl. The band also shares the new track “Forbidden Local Honey,” along with an official visualizer, available below.

SPREAD EAGLE are currently on the road on “The Brutal Divine Tour 2026,” with dates across the US, and in UK and Europe throughout the summer. For the full list of dates, please see below and HERE.

The band comments:

“Actually, we’re not entirely sure what this song is about. There are references to the drug trade and to a certain singer who often flies between Brooklyn and Florida to ply his wares. Add in some sexual innuendos and it makes one hell of a sleazy rocker… Enjoy!”

‘The Brutal Divine‘ is SPREAD EAGLE’s long-awaited fourth studio album and a fierce new chapter in the band’s uncompromising legacy. Known for their raw energy, streetwise attitude, and explosive live performances, they once again prove why they remain a vital force in modern hard rock.

The band described the new record as “an emotionally and musically heavy body of songs showcasing a unique command of power, dynamics, and melody. We have harnessed the energy of years of non-stop touring and turned it into a metal/punk thrill ride of an album.”

“Lyrically, ‘The Brutal Divine‘ challenges us to question our views and ask if we’re truly as free-thinking as we may believe. Once that question is posed, the album progresses towards uplifting messages of hope and community”, they continued.

Fronted by the unmistakable voice of Ray West, the band delivers a powerful collection of songs that balance grit and melody, aggression and soul. Guitarist Gianmaria “Jommy” Puledda injects the record with razor-sharp riffs and soaring harmonies, while Rob De Luca (bass, vocals) and Rik De Luca (drums) form a thunderous rhythmic backbone that drives every track with authority and groove.

Produced by Rob De Luca, ‘The Brutal Divine‘ captures the band at their most focused and dynamic – blending their classic hard rock roots with a darker, heavier edge. The album channels the intensity and authenticity that first put SPREAD EAGLE on the map, while showcasing a band that continues to evolve without losing its identity.

With a full slate of live dates planned in support of the release, SPREAD EAGLE is ready to bring ‘The Brutal Divine‘ to stages around the world – where their music truly comes alive. This is hard rock delivered with conviction, attitude, and fire.

Connecticut melodic death/doom outfit FIRES IN THE DISTANCE unveil their long-awaited new album, Circadian Promise, available now via Prosthetic Records. To mark the occasion, the band has also premiered a lyric video for the album standout, “By This Time Tomorrow” featuring Johan Reinholdz of DARK TRANQUILITY.

Following a string of acclaimed singles that introduced listeners to the album’s emotional depth and sweeping scope, Circadian Promise arrives as the band’s most ambitious and affecting work to date. Balancing crushing heaviness with cinematic atmosphere and poignant introspection, the record expands upon the foundation established by 2022’s Air Not Meant For Us while pushing the band’s sound into even more immersive territory.

The newly released lyric video for “By This Time Tomorrow” offers another compelling entry point into the album’s expansive world. Anchored by towering melodies, dynamic songwriting, and the band’s signature interplay between melancholy and catharsis, the track captures the emotional weight and sense of perseverance that courses through Circadian Promise from beginning to end.

Recorded with producer Dave Kaminsky and enhanced by orchestration from Randy Slaugh, Circadian Promise also marks the first studio appearance from new vocalist/guitarist Brendan Hayter, whose arrival further broadens the band’s expressive range without sacrificing the power and sincerity that have defined FIRES IN THE DISTANCE since their inception.

Since emerging from the New England underground, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE have carved out a distinct identity within the modern melodic death/doom landscape. Their ability to pair crushing riffs and blistering intensity with evocative arrangements and deeply human themes has earned the band widespread critical praise and a devoted international following. With Circadian Promise, they deliver their most fully realized statement yet—an album that embraces grief, growth, and resilience while looking toward what lies ahead.

Circadian Promise is available now on all streaming platforms and in multiple physical formats via Prosthetic Records.

About FIRES IN THE DISTANCE:

Originally conceived in 2016 as founding guitarist Yegor Savonin’s solo project, FIRES IN THE DISTANCE quickly evolved into a full band, earning acclaim with 2020’s Echoes From Deep November and 2023’s Air Not Meant For Us. Following a high-profile 2024 North American tour, the group reunited with producer Dave Kaminsky and orchestrator Randy Slaugh, while welcoming new vocalist/guitarist Brendan Hayter. The resulting six-track album—some songs stretching beyond nine minutes—is their bleakest yet most embracing work, blending cinematic orchestration, organic production, and dynamic vocal contrasts.

Lyrically and thematically, Circadian Promise explores spiritual erosion, mortality, and the search for acceptance, balancing existential weight with hard-won optimism. Recorded in Connecticut and North Carolina, the album retains a resonant human warmth even in its most technical passages, pairing atmospheric strings and expansive leads with Hayter’s serrated growls and somber cleans. Singles like “Of Radiance and Levitation,” “To You, Author of My Fade,” and “By This Time Tomorrow” reflect deeply personal meditations on depression, self-awareness, and grief, while showcasing the band’s cinematic scope and emotional intensity. With touring planned for 2026 and beyond, Circadian Promise continues FIRES IN THE DISTANCE’s decade-long pursuit of catharsis—melding Savonin’s introspective vision with powerful songwriting, immersive arrangements, and evolving musical ambition.

JOANNE SHAW TAYLOR’s Songwriting Continues to Evolve on Reflective New Video Single ‘Tired Of Being Right’

British blues-rock artist Joanne Shaw Taylor returns today with her powerful new single “Tired Of Being Right,” alongside a new official music video, out now via Journeyman Records. Taken from her forthcoming studio album The Trouble With Love, due October 23rd, the song captures the painful moment when hope finally gives way to acceptance, and when staying becomes harder than walking away.

Beginning with a delicate, atmospheric introduction before gradually unfolding into a slow-burning blues-rock confession, “Tired Of Being Right” finds Joanne at her most emotionally vulnerable. The song chronicles the realisation that love alone cannot change someone who refuses to change themselves, even after years of patience, sacrifice, and second chances.

“A very personal song for me,” Joanne shares. “A song about always holding out hope that the one you love might finally step up but sadly sometimes you have to give yourself clarity and permission to leave. Sometimes people will never change no matter how long you invest in them.”

That emotional reckoning echoes throughout the song’s lyrics. Lines like “The truth’s never kind and hope, boy, does she linger on” and “I’m tired of being right about you being wrong” capture the exhaustion of repeatedly confronting a reality you never wanted to accept. Rather than exploding into anger, Joanne delivers the song with hard-earned wisdom, allowing its emotional weight to build naturally as the story unfolds.

The accompanying music video brings those themes to life through the story of a couple trapped in a relationship neither can fully let go of. Intercut with performance footage of Joanne, the music video mirrors the song’s push and pull between love, disappointment, and acceptance, ultimately arriving at the same difficult conclusion reflected in the lyrics.

“Tired Of Being Right” is the latest preview of The Trouble With Love, Joanne’s highly anticipated new studio album produced by Kevin Shirley. On the album, Joanne dives headfirst into the beautiful chaos of the human heart, exploring the many forms love takes in our lives: the reckless kind that sweeps you off your feet, the quiet kind that steadies you, the kind that breaks you open, and the kind that puts you back together.

The new single follows a string of acclaimed releases that have steadily revealed different sides of the album’s emotional landscape. The title track “The Trouble With Love” featuring Joe Bonamassa explored the addictive push and pull of romance, while “What Good Is My Love?” featuring Orianthi confronted the pain of love that isn’t returned. “Hell Or High Water” delivered a defiant blues-gospel message of perseverance and self-belief, while “This Is Who I Am” offered a moving reflection on acceptance and self-worth. Together, the songs point toward one of Joanne’s most personal and fully realized albums to date.

The album also arrives on the heels of the widespread success ofBlack & Gold, which earned some of the strongest reviews of Joanne’s career. Classic Rock awarded the album a 9/10 rating, while Powerplay Magazine praised its “pop appeal and smoothness.” Guitarist Magazine noted that it “reinforces Joanne’s place in the firmament of today’s brightest stars,” and American Blues Scene called it “a deeply personal experience, showcasing the depth of Joanne’s artistry.”

The release comes as Joanne continues another busy year on the road. Following a successful run of European festival appearances, she is currently touring across the United States throughout the summer before launching a newly announced Fall 2026 headline tour across the Southwest, Mountain West, Pacific Northwest, and California. Known for her commanding stage presence, fiery guitar work, and emotionally immersive performances, Joanne continues to captivate audiences with a live show that blends new material with fan favourites from across her acclaimed catalogue.

HULDER Release New Single & Music Video ‘View From Nemeton’

Dark black metal project HULDER release “View From Nemeton”, the lead single and accompanying music video from their forthcoming album Verbolgen, due August 7, 2026 via Season of Mist (World ex-North America) and 20 Buck Spin (North America). The single opens the album’s campaign and marks the first visual statement from what stands as the project’s most fully realised work to date.

“Captured on analog mediums in the forests of the Pacific Northwestern landscape and woven together by Liana Rakijian and Hulder, ‘View From Nemeton’ serves as a glimpse from the eye of the otherworld,” the band states.

“View From Nemeton” moves through the ceremonial and the spectral, its lyrics evoking a sacred site in the realm of the otherworld where the living and the dead converge: “In realm of the otherworld where undead and living shall meet / View from Nemeton as veil of soma is thinned.” The track builds on a foundation of layered riffing and atmospheric density, anchored by the recurring incantation “Bone to Bone / Limb to Limb / Blood to Blood”, before opening into sequences of hurdy gurdy and keys that widen the piece’s ceremonial register.

Emerging from the American Pacific Northwest, HULDER built a devoted following across a series of releases marked by their commitment to ancient craft, uncompromising production, and a sound rooted in the Northern European black metal tradition. Verbolgen sees the project expand its instrumental palette: drawing in hurdy gurdy from KELD (Majesties, Obsequiae, Celestiial) and split drum contributions from VAPULA and VROLOK (Aeternus, Gorgoroth), while sharpening the dual creative core that has defined its most compelling work.

“View From Nemeton” is available now across all platforms. Verbolgen will be released on August 7, 2026 via Season of Mist (World ex-North America) and 20 Buck Spin (North America).
