In recent months, the Milan-based grunge band ULTRABLAST has been shining a spotlight on their music through a series of powerful singles released via Volcano Records & Promotion.
Today, the label adds another piece to the image of an inspired and healthy group by releasing the single “On A Wheel”. The track showcases the strength of an original group that firmly situates itself in the modern international post-grunge scene. It’s available on all online platforms and on YouTube, accompanied by a lyric video that allows us to focus on the lyrics and, most importantly, on the message well-supported by the energy of a compelling rhythm section and relentless distorted guitar riffs.
“When everything falls apart, when every effort is futile, when you roll on inertia and never stop in the right place, there’s nothing else but her, The Music.” (Ultrablast)
Metal Blade Records has just released the new digital EP from Athens, Greece extreme symphonic metal act, W.E.B. titled Into Hell Fire We Burn. Check out a video of the title track HERE.
The digital EP is a follow up to 2021’s Colosseum, which AVE NOCTEM referred to as “gratuitous, powerful riffs, indulgent gothic overtones and challenging, personality-filled metal” while METAL OBSERVER said W.E.B. is “a band more than capable of going toe to toe with genre legends Septicflesh, Rotting Christ and Dimmu Borgir.“
Here’s what the band has to say about the upcoming EP, Into Hell Fire We Burn:
“This EP was an idea that had been wandering our minds for a long time. W.E.B. have only released one EP in 2012, the one called ‘My Storm Upon You’ and the freedom of releasing experimental material, which would never be part of an official album, in addition to something new and a couple of re-enhanced versions of songs, is always intriguing. Here we are with a new song ‘Into Hell Fire We Burn,’ a re-recording of ‘Necrology’ (from Colosseum 2021) sang by Hel Pyre, a re-recording medley of two older songs ‘For Bidens’ and ‘My Storm Upon You,’ an industrial remix of ‘Nightmares in Disguise’ and ‘Regina Est,’ a full orchestral version of ‘Clamor Luna’ trilogy and a cover of Rotting Christ’s ‘Non Serviam.’ There’s a lot to process and listening to this EP seems like a roller coaster with very strange turns but this is what makes roller coasters fun, right? We invite you to an album-lasting ride through several musical layers of the netherworld, from burning into infernal fire to the victorious scream of ‘Non Serviam.’
Demons don’t serve in Heaven – Demons rule in Hell
STAY DARK“
The final single released off the EP is the title track of the EP, which the band talks about below:
“This song just came out of nowhere as a composition after watching a guitar video of the late Alexi Laiho. Musically it doesn’t follow any Children of Bodom forms yet, inspiration will always be inspiration. ‘Into Hell Fire We Burn’ is what you would simply call an extreme heavy metal song and that’s what we love about it as a band. The lyrics go through the seven deadly sins concept and the chorus suggests all sinners chanting the consequence of burning into Hell’s fire.”
You can watch the video for the first single, ‘Necrology of Hel‘, HERE.
Into Hell Fire We Burn track listing: 01. Into Hell Fire We Burn 02. Forbidden Storm 03. Necrology of Hel 04. Lunar Nightmares 05. Clamor Luna Orchestram 06. Non Serviam (Rotting Christ cover)
“W.E.B. is a must see live band” – METAL INVADER
“Compositions are full of clever ideas, creating one musical theme after the other and never really resting on specific ones but constantly producing and giving birth to all kinds of hybrid aggregations.” – METALZONE.GR
“gives me the DIMMU BORGIR/CRADLE OF FILTH, maybe even a little Game of Thrones vibe.” – METAL-TEMPLE
W.E.B. Lineup: Sakis Prekas – guitars, vocals Hel Pyre – bass, vocals Sextus A. Maximus – lead guitars Nikitas Mandolas – drums
Danish power/progsters MANTICORA re-invent their thrashy approach to writing aggressive music. Slayer, Testament, Artillery – blended with an old In Flames vibe… And then Manticorized!
Are you curious?
Listen to “Beast Of The Fall”, their new single and check their new video, released as a teaser to what will be the band’s upcoming tenth studio album.
For the video premiere, MANTICORA teamed up with Metal Shock Finland, enjoy it below!
Thrash, prog, power, black, death + pure heavy metal and everything else, your metalheart desires, is usually what Manticora is all about. The band, which started out in 1997 – nine albums ago – as a power metal outfit, has transformed and thereby developed their own unique style of heavy metal – a melting pot of everything you want to hear, as a genuine metal fan.
The band comments: “With the concept of the album in mind and with the lyrics for this song, dealing with dark demons, arriving to the Earth, through the Mycelium beneath the soil in the forest, we wanted to display a forest, as eerie and scary as possible, to create a feeling of not wanting to be in that particular place. A place where evil lurks and hell on Earth could emerge.”
Italian technical progressive metal masters ELDRITCH have released ‘Born on Cold Ash’, second single taken from the new album ‘Innervoid’ to be released on November 17th via Scarlet Records.
Stream the single below.
Eldritch are back with the talented new frontman Alex Jarusso, ready to broaden the sonic spectrum of the band and impress old & new fans.
‘Innervoid’ strikes hard with both relentless sonic aggression and a truly emotional charge: a perfect mix of devastating guitar riffs and rhythm section and melancholic melodic openings, with a certain dark mood.
The very interpersonal lyrics, in which the human soul is speaking freely, are perfectly in line with the complex and captivating music of the seasoned tech-prog metal merchants.

West Coast deathgrind practitioners CATTLE DECAPITATION today unleash their brand new video for “Solastalgia.” The track comes by way of the band’s critically lauded tenth studio album, Terrasite, released earlier this year via Metal Blade Records. The video was directed by David Brodsky and vocalist Travis Ryan and produced by Allison Woest for My Good Eye: Music Visuals.
Watch CATTLE DECAPITATION “Solastalgia” video below.
Watch the band’s previously released videos for “We Eat Our Young” HERE, “Scourge Of The Offspring” HERE, and “A Photic Doom” HERE.
Though many bands have tried, no one articulates the real apocalypse humanity is facing as vividly and succinctly as CATTLE DECAPITATION. With 2019’s Death Atlas, they reached the apex of this, perhaps leading some to believe they had no place left to go beyond such an achievement, but alas, the band returned with Terrasite, which is as bold a statement as they have ever made. Roaring to life with the savage yet hauntingly melodic “Terrasitic Adaptation” and advancing through the likes of the relentless “We Eat Our Young” and culminating with the ten-plus minutes of “Just Another Body,” Terrasite is an album that constantly shifts dynamics and demands a variety of emotional responses. The record crushed Billboard charts upon its first week of release, earning the #2 position on the Current Hard Music Albums chart, #3 on the Current Independent Albums chart, #4 on the Rock Albums chart and more!
Cover art by Wes Benscoter
Terrasite features the artwork by longtime collaborator Wes Benscoter (Vader, Kreator, Bloodbath, Hypocrisy), was produced by Dave Otero (Cephalic Carnage, Allegaeon) and includes Dis Pater of Midnight Odyssey handling piano and synths.
CATTLE DECAPITATION will kick off their Terrasitic Infestation North American headlining tour next month. Set to begin on November 10th in Ventura, California, the journey will make its way through over two-dozen cities, coming to a close on December 16th on the band’s home turf of San Diego, California. Support will be provided by Immolation, Sanguisugabogg, and Castrator. Tickets are on sale now at: tix.soundrink.com/tours/cattle-decapitation. See all confirmed dates below.

Swedish progressive psychedelic rock band GAUPA has released a video for new digital single, ‘Moloken (Live At Monkey Moon Studios)‘.
