‘Stay’ was recorded and produced by Chris Kempe (Embark Audio), and mastered by Robin Schmidt (24-96 Mastering).

Hailing from Germany, Marv Wilder and Phil Bayer found common ground by talking about their childhood influences, namely Peter Gabriel, U2 & Sting.

Since the release of their debut single ‘Wonders’ in March 2022, FLOYA have amassed over eight million streams on Spotify alone. Their single ‘The Hymn’ was featured in an official AFL game between Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs on Australian television; an impressive achievement for a newly launched act. Welsh post-hardcore legends CASEY have revealed the details of their third album, the exceptional How to Disappear, to be released 12th January via Hassle Records.

The news follows a joyous return for the quintet in 2023, including seven huge shows in the UK and Germany, and the limited release of their 7” Atone/Great Grief (Hassle Records).

Casey, at its core, was grounded in the notion that music is a labour of love. Without expectation of success, without desire to attain stardom, just a shared yearning to create music – and when this no longer rang true Casey stayed true to themselves, and stepped away.

In late 2018, when Casey announced they were bringing the band to a close, it felt like a premature demise. Their first two LPs – 2016 Love Is Not Enough and 2018’s Where I Go When I Am Sleeping – had firmly established the Welsh five-piece as one of the most exciting bands in Britain’s alternative scene.

Now, years later, the band have returned – bigger and better than ever before. Casey don’t just replicate the feelings that inspire them – they embody them.

Black Metal Veterans KOLDBRANN Ink Deal with Dark Essence Records, Fourth Full-Length Album Coming in Spring 2024

Dark Essence Records have welcomed Norwegian Black Metal veterans KOLDBRANN to their roster, and are ready to release the band’s fourth full-length album in the spring of 2024.  Before then, however, fans will get a taste of some new material from the band, in the shape of a two-track, limited edition, 7″ vinyl single.

Known for their uncompromising take on Black Metal, and with a fearsome “backs to the world” attitude, KOLDBRANN have been at the forefront of the Norwegian Black Metal underground scene since the band was first formed in 2001.

Led by Mannevond’s characteristic pitch black raw vocals and Kvass’ clever Norwegian lyrics, KOLDBRANN have, from day one, delivered their obscure and unique riffs, unsullied by any trends.  The band’s studio output matches perfectly with their notoriety on stage.

Commenting on their upcoming collaborations with Dark Essence Records, the band had this to say:

KOLDBRANN are elated to announce that we have entered into a pact with the esteemed Dark Essence Records, one of Norway’s premier extreme metal labels.  After twenty years abroad, it was about time we brought our music home!

Our fourth full-length album is mastered, and all the sordid details will be revealed in due course, but, while we wait, we are excited to be able to serve you up a proper taste of what is to come on the 1st December, when our single will hit the streets.

The two tracks on the single were both recorded during the same studio sessions as the upcoming album, and are accompanied by some disturbing artwork by the talented Salowe Vision.

The single includes the tracks “Den 6. Massedød (Manna fra en annen himmel)” on the A side and, “Inhumanitær Inngripen” on the B side and will be available in Oxblood Red 7″ vinyl format, limited to 500 copies, as well as digitally.

ANANDA MIDA Release Lyric Video for New Single ‘The Stumbling Doll’

Psych Rock collective ANANDA MIDA is set to release their third album, titled “Reconciler”, on November 3 through Go Down Records. Following the recent release of their first single “Swamp Thing”, the band now presents their latest track “The Stumbling Doll”. Accompanying the song is a newly released lyric video, which you can watch below.

Ananda Mida on “The Stumbling Doll”:
“The song is the sixth part of the ‘Doom and the Medicine Man’ suite, which began with the previous album ‘Cathodnatius’ and continues in this new one ‘Reconciler’. It represents our sweeter and more sentimental side, with its simple and innocent feel. It stands out well from the rest of the suite thanks to Conny Ochs’ vocals and Stefano Paski’s Hammond. On stage, we will ask the audience to turn on their smartphone lights to set the mood by creating an intimate time.“

“Reconciler “marks the final act of a trilogy inspired by Georges Ivanovič Gurdjieff’s book, “Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson,” and his profound thoughts. Originally planning to release three records, Ananda Mida‘s founders, Max Ear and Matteo Pablo Scolaro, collaborated with artist and friend Eeviac to create a concept album trilogy. The first two albums in the series, “Anodnatius” and “Cathodnatius,” explored themes of Holy Affirmation and Holy Denial respectively. Now, with “Reconciler,” the band delves into the theme of Holy Reconciliation. During the making of “Reconciler,” one of the band members experienced both the joyous grace of birth and the deep mourning of death. These significant life events have greatly influenced the reconciliatory intent behind this record. With eight tracks spanning over 83 minutes of music, “Reconciler” showcases a diverse range of emotions and musical styles.

The album features an instrumental song titled “Reconciling,” while five other tracks are performed by talented singers. In addition to Ananda Mida‘s core members, twelve artists from Go Down Records’ musical gang have contributed their talents to this record. This collaboration not only fulfills the band founders’ vision but also serves as a tribute to their independent label, which has been a hub for talent and passion over the past two decades. Ananda Mida‘s sound is deeply rooted in 70s Rock, infused with desert and psychedelic grooves. Since their formation in 2015, the band has performed with various lineups, ranging from three to six members, both instrumental and featuring singers. Their unique blend of influences has garnered them a dedicated following within the Stoner and Psychedelic Rock community.

This year’s lineup is headlined by the premiere of Metal Massacre: The Story Behind the Legendary Album, making its network debut THIS SATURDAY (October 28th) at 9pm ET. Andrea Basili, born in 2004, is a Roman guitarist and winner of the Electric Guitarlands contest 2023. However, Andrea was born as a drummer: he began studying the instrument at the age of only 4 in the “Viva musica” school, which he still attends, but he was always watching fascinated the guitar his uncle had in his room. At the age of 12, Andrea began to devote more and more time and dedication to the guitar, especially with the discovery of modern progressive metal and bands such as Periphery, Meshuggah, intervals, and many others who influenced him heavily from both a technical and compositional point of view. Since September 2022, after getting into and trying his hand at fusion, the young guitarist has been studying jazz with his beloved teacher Andrea Gomellini and will soon enroll at the conservatory in the jazz guitar major.
