Dutch death metal band BLOODPHEMY will release their fifth studio album “Dawn of Malevolence” on November 17th 2023 via Non Serviam Records.

Drawing influence from Florida, Sweden and their heritage, these Dutchmen distinguish themselves with aggressive death metal mixing modern and classic styles with heavy atmosphere. Prepare yourself for cavernous deep roaring vocals, heavy slow crawling dirges and up-tempo psychotic slaughtering that will keep you banging your head. Telling dark, psychotic tales in both their lyrics and through their live shows. Steamrolling, rumbling and very dark death metal!

Today the band unveils the first single “From Suffering to Violence” accompanied by a visualizer video.

STREAM/PURCHASE THE SONG HERE.

“Dawn of Malevolence” is a concept album as the band explains: “A dark and twisted story of a young boy whose only memory is of the horrible Asylum he grew up in; among the insane, the violent and a sadistic staff. Through years of suffering and torture he finally is able to feign normalcy and is eventually released into a world he doesn’t know or understand.

This threatening world triggers flashbacks of anger and violence from his earliest youth as he finally grasps a glimpse of the past that always seemed just out of reach.

Overwhelmed by these experiences he spirals down further into madness, killing people around him and ending up in the same horrible place where we was locked all that time. This time, armed with a new found lust for blood he swears to kill everyone there who has wronged him and set out on a journey of revenge”.

On the first single “From Suffering to Violence” the band states: “All the blood, violence, and suffering cause a further return of memories of his parents and the horrible things he had to endure from them.
Armed with his new sense of purpose he sets out into the world, swearing revenge and those that have wronged him
”.

“Dawn of Malevolence” will be available as cassette, digipak CD, limited green vinyl and digital.

Immerse Yourself in WAYFARER’s Latest Single ‘A High Plains Eulogy’

On October 27th, Denver, Colorado’s WAYFARER will release their fifth full-length, American Gothic.

For a preview of their unique blend of black metal, gothic country, and Americana, the video for the new single, “A High Plains Eulogy” (directed by Alex Pace//@chainsawjustice), can be seen below.

Shane McCarthy (vocals/guitars) comments as follows:

“‘A High Plains Eulogy’ is one of the more stripped down and somber moments on the record. It’s a moody vision of the American frontier, serving a bit as a requiem for an idea that is slipping through one’s hands lost to time.

The video, captured by our longtime collaborator Alex Pace, paints the stark and empty beauty of the Colorado plains, and the Rocky Mountains, where the rock formations of the land serve as its own tombstones. The visuals are a perfect accompaniment to this dark little folksong. It tells of tragedy and sits in the middle of ‘AMERICAN GOTHIC’, fully fleshing out the record’s more personal facets.”

In case you’ve missed it, here are the videos for their previous singles:

  • “False Constellation” – https://youtu.be/XyDmbLvvnjk?si=SP9JnsJ2PTolxsRa
  • “To Enter My House Justified” – https://youtu.be/9qGDuElSobk?si=W_FLQthy6wIi44xA

The album is available in the following versions:  Worn-Steel Silver Vinyl w/ Newspaper-look Booklet Ltd. CD Digipak w/ Poster Booklet

Wayfarer is the pre-eminent Western American Metal band. Comprised of four black clad players from Denver, Colorado, the band creates a thunderous and uniquely American genre of metal all to their own.

After ten years of existence, the band presents American Gothic – a defining statement of Western heavy music that explores the dark soul of the nation itself. This time working alongside accomplished producer Arthur Rizk (Eternal Champion, Kreator), the band brings an aggressive and expansive vision to life in a new full-length LP.

Led by powerful riffing, bleak melodic sensibilities, and pointed songwriting, this record serves as a funeral for the American dream. Caked in dust, and buried deep in blood and gunpowder, it paints a brutal and beautiful portrait, and sees Wayfarer elevate their unique and genuine brand of metal to new heights.

“What we have now is a world full of oil drillers, and railroad barons. Cattle thieves and company men. This is the new American Gothic.”

American Gothic track-listing:

  1. The Thousand Tombs Of Western Promise
  2. The Cattle Thief
  3. Reaper On The Oilfields
  4. To Enter My House Justified
  5. A High Plains Eulogy
  6. 1934
  7. Black Plumes Over God’s Country
  8. False Constellation

Pennsylvania’s rising rock stars, ANOTHER DAY DAWNS, officially released their highly anticipated album, “Finding Peace Through All the Noise,” on October 6th.

The band, consisting of singer Dakota Sean, guitarist Tyler Ritter, bassist Jerome Betz, and drummer Nick McGeehan, has been making waves in the heavy rock scene, and their upcoming album promises to be a game-changer.

Another Day Dawns has been hard at work, both in the rehearsal room and on stages of all sizes. They embarked on a North American tour with Breaking Benjamin and Bush, which proved to be a career-defining experience. Despite initial nerves, the band quickly turned that anxiety into ambition and drive, leaving a lasting impression on audiences night after night.

Another Day Dawns’ journey began in 2010 when they formed as high school friends. Over the years, they have played countless electric and acoustic shows, sharing the stage with renowned acts like Sevendust, Starset, and Atreyu. Their performances at prominent rock festivals such as Aftershock, Blue Ridge, and Louder Than Life have solidified their status as a formidable force in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

The band’s independent 2018 EP, “A Different Life,” even earned them a spot on the Billboard rock charts, firmly establishing their presence in the active rock scene. Their singles, “Taste of Heaven” (2020) and “Look at You” (2021), have also been well-received, amassing millions of streams on Spotify and hundreds of thousands of plays on YouTube.

With “Finding Peace Through All the Noise” now available, Another Day Dawns is poised for even greater success. The album’s diverse tracklist promises an impactful listening experience, showcasing the band’s growth and musical prowess. Fans can embark on an exhilarating journey through ten tracks, including the powerful opener “Intro,” the emotionally charged “Hesitate,” and the anthemic “Brand New.”

With their raw talent, unwavering dedication, and an ever-expanding fanbase, “Finding Peace Through All the Noise” is set to make a significant impact on the heavy rock music landscape.

THE VIRGINMARYS Release John Hughes Inspired Video for New Single ‘Where Are You Now?’

THE VIRGINMARYS‘ new single ‘WHERE ARE YOU NOW? is their first release of 2023 coming off the back of their debut duo E.P release ‘Devil Keeps Coming’ in 2022.

Vocalist /Guitarist Ally Dickaty says: ”WHERE ARE YOU NOW? is a song about abandonment, the realisation of being totally alone. Throughout my life I’ve had a belief hovering in the background that there was a presence or force watching over me. In 2020 I fell very unwell, I have never been so ill in my life and thought I was possibly on my way out. It’s a song of despair, the realisation of my own mortality and how close that can be.”

Watch below the official music video (inspired by the John Hughes movie ‘Planes Trains and Automobiles’):

The accompanying music video is a remake-parody based on John Hughes’ 1987 classic ‘Buddy-Road Movie: ‘PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES’.

Drummer Danny Dolan talks about the genesis of The Virginmarys and the new music video: “When I first met Ally at music college the love we both shared for this movie was the first thing we realised we had in common and could literally reel the script off by heart! Years on I realised similarities to the main 2 characters in relation to the journey me and Ally have been through being in a band together on tour was so strongly mirrored.

In the video Del and Neil are constantly travelling around from motel to motel all the while struggling with their luggage and belongings (in particular Del’s heavy ton chest!!!) Tensions build between the two throughout the movie and it’s a total love/hate relationship that forms. I think the concept totally mirrored what we and probably most bands go through especially in the current climate we find the music industry in. Some days you remember why you’re doing it, why you’re still in the game… other days you just simply. cannot stand the sight of each other!”

The new single ‘Where Are You Now?’ is a taste of what to come with a planned new studio album release in the works set for 2024.

The Virginmarys are currently out on the road for a mammoth 2 month support tour of Europe and the UK with The Sisters of Mercy.
