Italian symphonic metallers ELEGY OF MADNESS have released a visualizer video for ‘Hybrid Love’, third single taken from the new album ‘XI’ to be released on October 20th via Scarlet Records.
Modern, occult, epic symphonic metal at its best: ‘XI’ represents a splendid rebirth for Elegy Of Madness, thanks to a redefined sound, a more concise songwriting and the enchanting soprano vocals of new frontwoman Kyrah Aylin.
Conceived in the post-pandemic time, the mood of ‘XI’ tends towards obscure and melancholic atmospheres; the main topic revolves around the symbolic meaning of the number eleven. Each song actually involves some aspects of it, such as spiritual awakening and growth, strength, intuition, new beginning, disorder and chaos, and the sinful nature of man.

Synthwave horror duo MIDNIGHT DANGER is now premiering an electrifying new single, “Radio Hell,” along with an 80’s horror inspired new music video! The band comments on the new offering, “The new single ‘Radio Hell’ was originally meant to be part of the 2021 release ‘Nights at Lake Milsen.’ However, while the songwriting was developing, it became clear that the uplifting dancing vibes of the main melody wouldn’t fit the dark atmosphere of that album.
“So the song was set aside temporarily until in 2023 while Midnight Danger’s USA debut tour was finally taking shape, ‘Radio Hell’ got the final touches and was set to release as a single, being a song that stands on its own in Midnight Danger’s discography.
‘The song also gained a music video, a tribute to old school roller skating videos. As typical from Midnight Danger, the horror elements are also there and the video delivers a rad combination of 80s, zombies and roller skating! The video was shot in São Paulo, Brazil by local fans, reaffirming Brazil as one of the strongest Midnight Danger’s fan bases.”
In addition, MIDNIGHT DANGER will be performing in the United States for the first time ever this October! Just in time for Halloween, the horror-themed outfit will embark on its “Nightmare Over the West Coast” starting on October 26 in Phoenix, AZ. The trek will then make its way up the coast and draw the final curtain on October 31 in Seattle, WA. The full itinerary can be found below!

Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, rising star Midnight Danger brings an electrifying fusion of influences to the music scene. Conceived by producer and guitarist Chris Young in late 2015, this music endeavor draws inspiration mainly from synthwave music, ’80s metal, and classic horror. Midnight Danger crafts a nostalgic soundtrack journey with pulsating synthesizers, driving rhythms, and a cinematic essence that instantly transports listeners back to the era of neon lights, arcade games, and VHS tapes. While evoking a sense of nostalgia for the 1980s, their tracks also add modern production techniques to create a unique fusion of old and new.
Setting the stage alight both musically and visually, Midnight Danger’s live performances are an enthralling spectacle that marries their music to a synchronized light show engaging the audience in a theatrical like horror movie experience.
In January 2018, the debut album “Malignant Force” was released through NRW Records, instantly carving its mark on the synthwave landscape. The album rapidly soared in popularity, with vinyl and cassette editions selling out in a flash and accumulating a staggering 4,5 million streams on Spotify.
The release catapulted Midnight Danger in the synthwave/retrowave movement and resulted in numerous live performances over Europe and South America alongside some of the main artists on the genre, including also an unforgettable appearance at São Paulo’s Horror Expo alongside revered metal acts like Therion and Deathstars.
The journey continued with a cascade of singles, collaborations, and contributions, such as being featured in the soundtrack of the documentary “In Search of Darkness,” a comprehensive tribute to ’80s horror. The sophomore album “Chapter 2: Endless Nightmare,” unleashed in August 2020, made waves by capturing the essence of synthwave/darksynth reaching best-selling charts on both Bandcamp and iTunes. The tracks “Endless Nightmare” and “To the Shadows and Back” were elevated further through music videos that showcased the enigmatic Scary Dee on drums – an undead persona that takes center stage in Midnight Danger’s live performances.
The saga continued with the release of “Nights at Lake Milsen” in November 2021, a groundbreaking work that saw collaboration with a legion of rock and metal icons spanning four generations. Guitarists Kane Roberts (Alice Cooper), Rafael Bittencourt (Angra), Martin Sweet (Crashdïet) and Sonia Anubis (ex-Crypta), singer Danny Rexon (Crazy Lixx), and Australian saxophonist Max Cruise, lent their virtuosity to this remarkable endeavor. The original graphic novel titled “Chapter 1: The Malignant Force” is included in the vinyl edition of the album, showing the background story that connects all of Midnight Danger’s albums.

Raring to go, with their European trek with Therapy? kicking off today, BOKASSA have dropped another new single, the stoner punk anthem ‘All Out Of Dreams‘ that’s filled to the brim with attitude and frustrated, pissed-off pessimism, and also happens to be the title track of their upcoming album!
BOKASSA elaborates, “When most things seem mediocre and most meetings feel like you’re just regurgitating empty small talk, you might as well just avoid it all. So it’s a song about trying to avoid socializing with other people and meanwhile escaping into your own mind and hobbies, like gaming e.g, as referenced in the 8-bit intro. Kind of a “voluntary loner anthem” if you will. A song for everyone who feels like Stan in the South Park episode “You’re Getting Old”!”
BOKASSA‘s new album is set for release on February 16th, 2024, via Indie Recordings. Recorded by Tue Madsen (Meshuggah, The Haunted, Halford) at Antfarm Studios in Denmark, fans got their first taste of new music earlier this year via heavy-hitting belter, Garden Of Heathen. A melodically-driven, stoner punk track that’s unmistakably BOKASSA, its hefty drums, smooth riffs, and catchy lyrics are only enhanced further by guest vocals from none other than New York hardcore legend, Lou Koller (Sick Of It All).
BOKASSA sum up, “All Out Of Dreams is an album where the feeling of resignation is present on several of the album’s tracks. Whether it deals with one’s own failures, maybe you feel the system failed you, perhaps because of failed government policies, or that you’ve just given up on it all.
The common denominator is that everyone you encounter, or hear from in the lyrics have lost hope, which is something the album’s title – All Out Of Dreams – alludes to.
The name of the album could also be seen as a direct reference to our own career, and the dream of owning our own private island in the Pacific. Unfortunately the masses have yet to develop good taste in music, so that dream is rather non-existent at this time.”
The live dynamos are excited to hit the road with hard rock squad Therapy? across Europe, including a number of European dates leading into the Christmas festivities and starting in Belgium October 5th. Miara was founded in 2022 in Bologna, Italy. The project was born from an idea of Antonio Grillo (guitar) and his brother Francesco (bass). During the pandemic Antonio feels the need to give voice to the feeling of precariousness and impotence that the world was going through in that period. The two brothers recorded the first single “Ascending to Second Life” which was released in February 2022 and immediately received very positive feedback on online platforms.
Framed in the “Death melodic metal” the band was completely formed in 2023 when Ruben Sanchez (guitar), Guido Romano (drums) and Markus Kristofferson (vocals) joined in. They immediately start working on the first album “Hungering Inside” in which there are hard and melodic riffs typical of the Gothenburg sound.
In May 2023 they were the finalists of the Wacken Metal Battle.

Inferno Metal Festival is now revealing that legendary Norwegian black metal titans Dimmu Borgir will be among the headliners for the 2024 edition of the festival, which will take place from March 28-31, 2024 across several venues in Oslo (NO).
So far, the iconic festival has revealed a mixture of classic bands as well as some vital and exciting new-comers. Other recently announced bands include Arthur Brown, Bell Witch, Me and That Man, Mantar, Befouled, Zustand Null, Visegard, Koldbrann, and many others! More will be announced soon!

In conjunction with Inferno Metal Festival, the Black Metal Bus Sightseeing Tour with Anders Odden (Cadaver, Celtic Frost, Order) is back with an all new routing! Following the success of this special event’s inception last year, this incredible experience will take Inferno attendees through some of the places that marked the beginnings of Norwegian black metal!
Between 1991 and 1993, many of the most important events during this dark chapter of Norwegian music history took place in Oslo. Therefore, Inferno Metal Festival has put together a field trip to experience these legendary moments in time, including the site of Helvete, the legendary record store once owned by late Mayhem founder Øystein “Euronymous” Aarseth.
Anders Odden formed his first black metal band, Slaught, in 1986 after attending a rehearsal with Mayhem at the age of 14. He was one of the pioneers of the Norwegian scene, dealing with tape trading, organizing of concerts and creating extreme music of his own. He formed Cadaver in 1988, releasing what would be the first Norwegian death metal album on Earache Records in 1990. During this period, Odden performed alongside true Norwegian legends such as Darkthrone, Mayhem, Old Funeral and many more iconic bands.
This field trip has exclusive anecdotes and personal memories of the early life of the scene from someone who was there since the beginning. The daily sightseeing schedule is as follows:

For their most recent album Venues went into the studio with producer Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay) to record Solace, who coated their massive sound with a metallic alloy of remarkable precision.
“We wanted to be more metal,” Robin comments.“There were some pop sensibilities of Aspire we wanted to replace with rather the opposite.”
Melody and punch-drunk heaviness, metal and alternative rock, zeitgeist and authenticity, barbed choruses and unleashed creativity: with their soaring sophomore release, Venues fulfill every single promise they gave on Aspire.
“2020 showed all of us how much the band is helping us keep our sanity,” vocalist Robin muses. “Almost the whole band went through minor or medium crises since the release of our debut. Relationships went sour, things were ended and begun. In times like these, our second album was the light at the end of the tunnel. Something we all could look forward to. Our music held our heads above water.”
It’s a big leap, going from Aspire to Solace, and it’s a logical one, too. Ten songs, ten exorcisms of negative energy, ten lifesavers.
