SULDUSK Sign Worldwide Contract with Napalm Records, New Album Coming in 2024

Napalm Records is proud to welcome Australian dark folk/blackgaze project SULDUSK to the roster! Founded by the highly talented Emily Highfield, their debut album, Lunar Falls, was released in 2019 and highly acclaimed by international press. With their “killer debut album” (Folk N Rock), SULDUSK stunned listeners by luring them into their gloomy magical world, where they combine a high variety of different dark and extreme sounds with their very own sonic universe. Dark folk, blackgaze, post-rock, prog, doom and even black metal elements flow into each other and create one very unique synthesis of sound highlighted by Emily Highfield’s voice that impresses with softness and fragility at times, yet in the next moment turns over to demonic screams.

Emily Highfield and the band will be releasing the follow up album soon, and are ready to embark on another journey into the depths of primeval forests, where emotions are hidden under the thickets to reveal what’s not meant to be seen.

This new eclectic album project by innovative band FLY TO THE SUN crosses over into several musical genres, including prog rock, progressive pop, art rock, R&B, and more.

Featuring Ray (Vocals, flute – Universe Records), Jennifer Batten (Guitar – Jeff Beck, Michael Jackson), Billy Sheehan (Bass – David Lee Roth, Mr. Big, The Winery Dogs), Andrew Giddings (Keyboards – Jethro Tull, The Animals), Gregg Bissonette (Drums – Ringo Starr, ELO, David Lee Roth), Joe Deninzon (Violin – Kansas), JJ Sansaverino (Guitar – #1 Billboard) and other very notable musicians.

The outstanding production work by Andrew Giddings (16-year keyboardist/producer with Jethro Tull) has brought a wealth of expertise, arrangement experience, and keyboard excellence into the project. Carol Roehner is lead producer on the project, and her music capabilities, organizational skills, and intellect have been the foundation of the project. Working on the project with assistance from producer/composer/musician Alex Grata, Ray as executive producer decided to create songs that are unique and appealing to a wide range of musical tastes. The songs have an upbeat musical structure and positive lyrical content.

Ray has always been a staunch follower of progressive rock music icons like Jethro Tull, Yes, Pink Floyd, Queen, and other rock legends that pushed the envelope into uncharted musical territory and had a huge impact on his life. Assembling this band of world class musicians to join him, Ray decided to produce music that will have a positive impact on listeners, hoping to help them feel good at a time in history when “feel good” songs are sorely needed.

Ray said, “The line by 70’s band Ten Years After, ‘I’d love to change the world, but I don’t know what to do,’ has always resonated with me. I would love nothing more than to produce music that genuinely makes people feel happy about their life, and going forward, that’s what I endeavor to do in this new body of work.”

Legendary performer John Corabi headlines an incredible lineup for G4L Records Cancer Benefit Show #1 for “Elizabeth & Chris” on October 17th in Nashville at The Eighth Room. John will be performing songs from his Motley Crue days including hits such as “Hooligan’s Holiday”; The Dead Daisies’ “Dead and Gone”; “Man in the Moon”, and ”Love (I Don’t Need It Anymore)”. Tora Tora’s Anthony Corder will be performing his hits including “Walkin’ Shoes” and “Guilty”. 13 South’s Chris Blevins will be performing his 2023 Josie Award Nominated “Rock Songwriting Song of the Year” “Mississippi Way”.

“The idea for the show came from G4L Records Founder, Markus Muller-Stach. He began developing the event while his wife was in her battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer as a way to honor her, give her a night of great music, brighten up her day, raise money to fund an end of life trip and pay for cancer related bills. Sadly, during production Elizabeth passed,” says John Corabi.

The event has grown to include artist and friend Chris Blevins who is also battling cancer, performing, and co-producing the event.

Markus Muller-Stach adds, “I’m excited to move forward with this event. It’s been very therapeutic to work on. The last 3 ½ years of my wife battling cancer, losing her recently, the impact and all that goes with it has inspired me to help other families that are going through this. So after this show, we will begin working on the next one in Los Angeles and find other cancer patients to honor. Knowing firsthand the pain and suffering a cancer patient and their family go through, all the associated bills, I’m honored to be doing my small part to help cancer warriors in the future. I’m so blessed to have such talented, accomplished, and generous artists help make this idea a reality.”

Brazil’s kings of death metal Armageddon KRISIUN continue to promote their latest studio album, Mortem Solis, released worldwide via Century Media Records last year.

Today, KRISIUN are pleased to release a brand-new video for the album track “Necronomical”, which was created by Joao Mauricio Leonel / Biruta Filmes and can now be seen here:

KRISIUN guitarist Moyses Kolesne commented: “Doing the video clip for ‘Necronomical’ was very interesting and cool for us. It was awesome bringing in all those elements involved with the Necronomicon book like the ritual, magic and some type of horror atmosphere like in the ‘Evil Dead’ movie or even some Morbid Angel vibes too. This song’s music is also a bit different from what we normally do, but still a brutal, marching-forward kind of death metal. It’s really fast and technical in the middle section, but with an intro that takes you back for the 80’s golden years of heavy metal in the vein of Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘Diary Of A Madman’ album. We hope all metalheads out there will enjoy watching this clip as much as we did creating it! Also, don’t miss us on our upcoming European tour with labemates Baest starting soon…it’s gonna be a brutal tour, so make sure to show up prepared!”

Sofia-based ODD CREW has revealed a new track taken off their forthcoming studio offering, Dark Matters Part II, which is slated for a release on November 10, 2023 via Drakkar Entertainment. The album pre-sale has just started at THIS LOCATION!

After a previously-released first single, “Wings On A Burning Wind”, today, the four-piece is premiering a captivating music video for “In Silence”. The band comments: “When we were composing the “Dark Matters” tetralogy we gave ourselves full freedom for experiments. We wanted to add Bulgarian folklore motives in our music for a long time now as they give the feeling of merging your soul with nature. “In Silence” is a song about the eternal fight between good and bad, black and white, false and true that every person has inside.”

Despite the young age of the four members, 2023 sees ODD CREW celebrate their 25th anniversary. Started their musical journey at an early age, their lineup has never been changed. TORIAN Sign to Massacre Records & Reveal with Brand New Single ‘Devilon’

Following their latest, much-acclaimed album “God Of Storms” (2018), German power metal force TORIAN has inked a worldwide label deal with Massacre Records, and returns with their brand new single, “Devilon”, opening a new chapter in the band’s history!

“We are thrilled to have found an experienced and valuable partner for our upcoming album in Massacre, who shares and lives the passion for metal with us!” The band comments. “Usually we would have signed with our blood, but since we are no longer the youngest, we need all of it for heavy and metal. Be prepared!”

The first new song in five long years immediately showcases all the classic TORIAN trademarks, yet points into a revamped direction of an upcoming full length album to be released in the not so distant future: Even more powerful, even bolder arrangements, but still straight to the point and in-your-face! The track was mixed by Alexander Thielmann at Room 14 Studio and was mastered by Orden Ogan frontman Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann at Greenman-Studios.

As the band reveals, “‘Devilon’ is about the constant ups and downs in life, about setbacks and new beginnings.” But above all, the song fully embodies the spirit of TORIAN!
