JELUSICK Drop Debut Album “Follow The Blind Man”

The band JELUSICK is formed around singer and keyboardist Dino Jelusick (Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Michael Romeo, Dirty Shirley). He is joined by bassist Luka Broderick who is, like Dino, an academically educated musician. Rounding out the quartet are guitarist Ivan Keller and drummer Mario Lepoglavec. Both actively tour with Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Journey). All of them are exceptionally talented musicians ready to show the world that rock is still alive! Their music is a combination of hard/heavy/prog with versatile elements from other genres. Jelusick is seen as the next rock sensation by fans and music colleagues alike!

Dino joined Whitesnake after receiving a personal phone call from David Coverdale and went out on the band’s 2022 farewell tour as a multi-instrumentalist and backing vocalist for Coverdale. Upon returning, he immediately focused his attention on his own band, Jelusick. They released a bunch of lead-up singles like “Healer”, “”The Great Divide”, “Chaos Master” and “Fly High Again,” collectively racking up over 200,000 listens on Spotify. The “Fly High Again” video is approaching 300,000 views.

As Dino explains, “Follow the Blind Man is the debut album that has been waiting for a long time to finally come to life. It will give you many of the different songwriting and stylistic angles that we’re capable of. From heavy, prog, bluesy to epic ballads and acoustic stuff.” Deko President, Bruce Pucciarello, celebrates Jelusick, “I love everything Dino does, but this is truly authentic. It is like everything else has led up to this band and this record. Holy shit, these guys can sing and play!”

ZORNHEYM Announce Graphic Novel Version of “The Zornheim Sleep Experiment” + Brand New Acoustic EP, Video for First Single Revealed

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 1, 2023

ZORNHEYM have just announced the graphic novel version of the band’s latest album “The Zornheim Sleep Experiment” and a brand new acoustic EP, entitled “The Forgotten Inmates”, which will be released on November 3 via Noble Demon. With the lyric video for the first single “Keep the Devil Away”, the band has unleashed a first preview of the upcoming graphic novel today. The track has been released in an English and a French version and you can watch the video below.

Stream the single HERE

Keep the Devil Away (Acoustic version)

Garde le Diable Éloigné (French version)

Founded and led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Zorn (ex- DARK FUNERAL / ex- Devian), Swedish symphonic extreme metal act ZORNHEYM quickly grew from an ambitious idea into a dramatic musical and narrative driven concept revolving around the horrors of a mental institution and its prisoners. In 2017, ZORNHEYM officially opened the doors of the asylum with their debut album “Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns”, introducing the terrifying concept and the gruesome characters within. With powerful, cinematic and captivating symphonic extreme metal, the band took the listener under its spell and the story found its disturbing continuation in 2021 with the band’s latest full-length record “The Zornheim Sleep Experiment”.

Two critically acclaimed albums that not only musically respresent the class of ZORNHEYM, but also visually are something quite exceptional, as both records are accompanied by a stunning graphic novel, in which each chapter takes a closer look at the different inmates of the ZORNHEYM asylum. While the album’s lyrics and the session notes in the booklet served as two parts of the complete story, ZORNHEYM now deliver the third and final piece of the puzzle with the graphic novel, and you will follow Dr. Bettelheim from when he is putting the final touches on his statement of intent till the horrific ending of the experiment. As on their debut “Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns” ZORNHEYM have again collaborated with the super talented Finnish artist Anu Saari, who has brought the story to life with her amazing painting skills!

ZORNHEYM about the making of their new EP:
“During the pandemic Zorn and Bendler did some live streaming and played acoustic interpretations of some of our songs. When it was time to record “The Zornheim Sleep Experiment” we decided to record “Whom the Night Brings” as an acoustic version to add as a bonus.

The original plan was to release that bonus track when the graphic novel was done. Due to a pregnancy the graphic novel was delayed. Zorn then remembered that Blind Guardian had released an album with acoustic interpretations of some of their songs in the ‘90’s. To reward our patient inmates we felt that we wanted to record a couple of songs, since the graphic novel took longer than expected to finalize. To thank our French fans that gave us an extra warm welcome on the successful French tour last year we decided to record “Keep the Devil Away” in French as well.

For “Slumber Comes in Time” we decided to make it in Swedish, since it’s based around an old folk tune that the Vallons brought to Sweden during the 1700’s, and base the whole song around that old folk melody.“

So put on the release, sit down in your favorite chair and join ZORNHEYM into the depths of the asylum!

“The Forgotten Inmates” track listing:

  1. Keep the Devil Away (acoustic version)
  2. Slumber Comes in Time (folk version)
  3. Whom the Night Brings… (lockdown version)
  4. Corpus Vile (acapella)
  5. Garde le Diable Éloigné (French version)

“The Forgotten Inmates” was recorded at Wing Studios. Mix and master by Sverker Widgren. The EP was produced by Sverker Widgren & Zorn. Artwork by Anu Saari.

ARTEFUCKT Release New Single + Video ‘Wir Waren Jung’

ARTEFUCKT present “Wir waren jung” the new single from the album “Ethik”, which will be released on 13 October 2023 on Metalville Records.

“Wir Waren Jung” reflects on life with all its ups and downs and shows that you can only stride towards old age with dignity if you have lived and a firework of memories passes before your mind’s eye. Be grateful for life!

Every deed makes you more mature and as long as you do not fall into a lethargy in life, you remain eternally young in spirit and heart.

“Ethik”…the recurring question:

What should I do? Omnipresent! Especially in this day and age, the constant question about the ethical principle is particularly present. What is right, what is wrong? Am I allowed to do this or not? Now or later?

“Ethik” can confidently be described as the most multi-faceted, modern and freshest ARTEFUCKT album to date. Honest, genuine and authentic, like every release so far by the band founded by André Donay in Rheinberg in 2015.

Like all previous ARTEFUCKT albums, “Ethik” reflects a period of life, processes experiences, reflects, looks ahead, dreams, laughs, cries, loves, hates, shares, inserts, delights, mourns, encourages…is simply full of emotions and life.

DYECREST Release New Music Video ‘Read My Mind’, New Album Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 1, 2023
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Dyecrest. Leave a comment

Powerful melodic Finnish metallers DYECREST (ft. members Metal de Facto, Thy Row, Everfrost, Kiowan Dynamo) are celebrating the release of their new album “Once I Had A Heart” out now as of September 29th via Rockshots Records with a new music video for the track “Read My Mind”.

“Probably the oldest track on the album. This one was co-written by Kimmo Blom, too. Very straight-to-the-point, striking, and catchy song! Combination of heavy, pulsating verse and the adherent, sing-along chorus. Its story is about a situation where a person realizes/understands that the relationship with someone else has reached the point of no return. Maybe the most defining line of the lyrics: ”No use in keep on wasting more of our lives…” adds the band.

Dyecrest’s new album “Once I Had A Heart” features nine melodic melancholic tracks to follow their 2019 EP “The Stage Is Set” and 2018 album “Are You Not Entertained?”.Seven of the nine songs are brand new songs and two are a bit older but weren’t properly recorded at any point. This new record has some new “twists” in the songs, but still, the trademarks that Dyecrest is known for with their pounding and powerful anthems and strong vocal melodies with big choirs, accompanied by flashing guitar solos.

“We’re all so very pleased and thrilled now that the album will finally see the light of day. It was a long – and bumpy here and there – road to this point, but it really was worth it. As said, we started the recordings already in 2020, and the original plan was to get the album out in 2021. But then there was COVID and also some health issues in the band, which altogether led to that it took this much time before everything was settled!

The album is totally intact as a whole. This time we had a very different basis for working on an album than the previous time with AYNE? At that point, we hadn’t released anything in 13 years and were “re-activated” only a couple of years earlier.

“Once I Had A Heart” is available on CD at https://bit.ly/DyecrestCD and Spotify

Track Listing:
1. Sacred Sleep – 5:23
2. Man Made God – 4:00
3. Once I Had a Heart – 5:29

Italy’s RAINING NAILS ft. members of Eternal Silence, Fallen Arise, Oracle Sun, and Sound Storm will be releasing their debut album “Human Deeds” this coming October via Rockshots Records.

To continue their introduction of catchy, aggressive, and powerful heavy metal, they are sharing their second single “Every Angel Has Its Demon” to follow “Anthem” released this past July.

Listen to “Every Angel Has Its Demon” at https://bfan.link/every-angel-has-its-demon

“Anthem” can be heard via its lyric video at https://youtu.be/GT09Y9EfN7c
Digital – https://bfan.link/rn-anthem

Featuring 10 tracks of power and symphonic-influenced heavy metal, Raining Nails’ debut album “Human Deeds” was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by bassist Massimiliano Flak at Evolution Recording Studios in Turin (Italy) www.evolutionstudios.it, with album artwork and booklet designed by Caio Caldas at www.cadiesart.com based on a concept from the band. All lyrics were written by Alessia Scolletti, except Anthem by Marika Vanni and Close To You by Massimiliano Flak.

“The album is not really a concept record but all the songs have something to share. This album talks about the bad situation of the world, but also keeps a light of hope for the future. You can clearly see what we mean by looking through the artwork. I took care of all the production of this record, the guys gave their best and their performance on it is just amazing. I will never stop thanking Marika, Mattia, and Giacomo for the great job they did. I think our overall goal was to create songs that punch people’s heads and shake their hearts. What’s better than heavy metal to reach this goal?”adds Flak.

Creating something that was particularly close to their hearts, Raining Nails is trying to make listeners more involved in their ideas and emotions. Fans of bands such as Battle Beast, Powerwolf, and Kamelot are highly recommended to check out “Human Deeds” when it’s released on October 27th, 2023.
